    Croquetas Papas con Cosas

This place had been on my list to try for a while. I came in for happy hour and ordered the croquetas and the chips with mussels and guindillas to start. Both were so yummy. I love tapas so a lot of their menu sounded fun to me. The service was just okay, our server was not very attentive. I would give them another shot for the dinner menu

Vibey and cute spot for a wine night with the girls. The food is a bit underwhelming in my opinion. The only memorable dishes are the clams, the mushrooms and the basque cheesecake. Service was very good and friendly. The ambience is very nice. We definitely thought the food could improve a bit but had a great time with the environment here.

The vibes of this place is so cute! The outdoor patio will be incredible during summer sunsets for girls night and the inside is beautiful for a romantic wine and dine with its dimly light atmosphere. The service was amazing and the staff provided great recommendations. My friend and I got the tomato toast, potatoes, and steak paired with delicious white wine. All of the food was cooked and seasoned well. The plates are shareable and it was more than enough food for 2 people. Cant wait to come back again for another girls wine night.

I really enjoyed the ambience and the customer service much more that the food itself. Waitstaff is incredible The wine recommendations were great though, I loved the Brisat orange wine. The standout dish from what I ordered was the pan con tomate. All the other dishes i ordered had one stand out element despite being overall underwhelming. For example, the skirt steak was okay however the sauce it was prepared with was excellent.

This was such an amazing experience. We came on Sunday after walking out of Casa Leo due to their awful service. This was a breath of fresh air in every way. The wine list is expansive and the snacks are so good, loved the mussel chips and croquettes. We also sat outside on a hot day and felt like we had escaped to Europe. Madison was our server and was such a joy, incredibly nice and helpful. I will be back! GO!

Came here for happy hour with a friend. We had the pan con tomate and I have not been able to stop thinking about it ever since. It was so good! We also topped it with iberico jamon from another dish we got - really yummy! Also their wine pours were not bad Staff was also very friendly and checked in on us often.

Ambience & vibes are really cute, drinks & dessert were delish! Good for girls night or date night

Good service Great food!…read moreExcellent ambiance ! We went on a Friday evening to celebrate a birthday and sat outside. There was live music and the music was awesome; a mix of different genres. We ordered many different plates to share and everything tasted fresh & delicious From starters to dessert, this place is one I would definitely recommend. Spanish style food and a great drink menu

100 out of 10, can recommend!…read more Dine LA brought us in the door. The impeccable vibes of the (deceptively large!) restaurant, chill live music performance on the patio, the varied regular menu, plus our server and Chef Erik convinced us to try more. I've got no regrets. It's easy to have a great time here if you bring good company, and to have a great meal. Located in a nice part of town, as well, if you want to take a post-meal stroll. Dine LA was a promotion that ran from 08/14 to 08/28 and it was $45 per person, not including tax or tip and each person selected four items from a pre-determined menu. We had: - Patatas Bravas (diced roasted potatoes drizzled with garlic and red pepper aioli) - Albondigas (moroccan spiced beef and pork chorizo meatballs in tomato sauce topped with manchego cheese) - Berenjana Frita (breaded eggplant topped with honey) - Croquetas de Jamon y Pollo (creamy croquettes of chicken and serrano ham) - Champiñones y Trufas (sauteed mushrooms, truffle oil, garlic, cream sherry, bread crumbs and chives) - Gambas al Ajillo (white shrimp cooked in mojo de ajo, butter, grilled bread) - Churros con Chocolate (churros with chocolate dipping sauce) I closed my eyes in delight and felt like weeping during several 'first bites' of these dishes. Is this really how Spaniards dine? I'd order everything again and then some. The eggplant, mushrooms, and potatoes were a standout. Everything is so balanced with sweet and savory in each bite, though. Those are smaller items part of the special offerings, and you can order off the regular menu, so we had: - Pulpo Casa Córdoba from the tapas del mar menu (tender sherry-braised spanish octopus served atop potato pavé with smoked paprika aioli, olive oil and sea salt - Pintxo de Vientre de Cerdo (sherry-glazed crispy pork belly pintxo, fried goat cheese, fig jam atop grilled focaccia - Flan de la casa (creamy flan served with thyme macerated pears, marcona almonds and cinnamon tuile) - Tarta de queso (Basque-style cheesecake, house strawberry jam, orange sumpreme) The pulpo was the star, and thankfully my friends told me about the documentary My Octopus Teacher after the meal. I may not eat pulpo for a very long time- if ever again. For postres, their cheesecake was a no-bake cheesecake. It was ungodly good, as was the flan. Our total bill was well over $45 per person, expect to pay more like $80-$100 per person, easily if you're dining out and ENJOYING yourself and/or having a cocktail, as well.

We were a party of 6, but 2 were lagging soooo hard for our reservation, and we weren't allowed to be seated until everyone showed up. I think the servers felt bad for us lol so they seated us after 25 minutes or so. By that time, I ordered their Espresso Martini which was delicious! They described it as "smoky and not too sweet." The restaurant itself has a very industrial warehouse kinda vibe to it, which was cool. Very laidback but upscale environment, dress up or dress down, it's totally up to you. My group ordered family style. We ordered... - Appetizers: 'spicy handroll' dip, goat empanadas, goat liver mousse - Veggies: roasted carrots, wood-fired sprouted cauliflower, sautéed green beans, grilled corn - Salad: shrimp & crispy greens salad, - Fish: pan roasted salmon, roasted oysters, - Meat: grilled kalbi-style short ribs, lamb curry - Dessert: matcha tres leches, mango sticky rice Honestly, if I were to do the same family style again, I would make sure I got a good taste of everything again. If I were to choose one of each category though, I'd go with spicy handroll dip as my favorite appetizer, sauteed green beans, I'll try the other salad option (the shrimp & crispy greens salad was really lemon-ey, almost too much), salmon was fantastic and cooked perfectly, the kalbi-style good was impressive and fall off the bone, andddd I can't really complain about either of the desserts. Everyone ended up splitting, it was maybe....$175 per person? Not too bad.

The biggest issue was the lack of cohesiveness, both in the service and the food. Our server was very difficult to find throughout the evening and only checked on us about twice, if not one of us raising our hand flagging her down. The food itself was very hit or miss. The vegetable appetizers were easily the highlight of the meal! The side dishes were genuinely delicious and had much more interesting flavor and balance than the main dishes. Unfortunately, the main dishes were extremely salty while somehow still lacking depth, spice, and actual seasoning. We ordered the goat curry and grilled chicken, which was recommended by our server. We were also disappointed by how some dishes represented different cuisines without much cultural context. For example, the goat curry is inspired by South African cuisine, but this wasn't indicated on the menu or explained to us by our server until after the fact. Traditionally, that style of curry is commonly eaten with a starch such as rice or a flatbread, so when we asked about having rice with the curry, we were surprised to learn that rice was not available and that we would need to order naan separately if we wanted it. If we are going to emphasize cultural representation in a dish, shouldn't that context also extend to how the dish is traditionally served or at least be explained when ordering? Otherwise, it can feel like the cultural identity of the dish is being adapted primarily for a Western palate rather than thoughtfully represented. This stood out because the restaurant describes itself as having "global influence and bold flavors" while creating dishes inspired by California produce and local flavors. We expected that philosophy to come through much more strongly. Instead, the menu felt somewhat random, and the dishes didn't feel like they belonged to a cohesive culinary story. Even small details, like the somewhat low resolution logo image on the menu, contributed to the impression that the overall concept wasn't as intentional as we'd expected. On a positive note, the drinks were really good, and the vegetable appetizers were definitely the bright spot of the meal! Sadly, dessert was just okay and, again, felt somewhat disconnected from the restaurant's stated identity. Overall, we were excited to experience something different, so this wasn't simply a matter of the dishes not appealing to us personally. Especially for the price of each dish, we expected much more intentionality, consistency, and boldness from a restaurant with such a strong culinary identity and reputation.
