Tuna Tartare
Llasmin H.

It was my first time at Encanto months ago but just coming around for a review. I absolutely loved loved loved the Tuna Tartare on my first visit amazing to say the least! The bloody Mary beautiful presentation but was little over on salt for my liking. They have a great happy hour second time I came to visit for the Tartare again but I was not sure if I may have ordered something else because it tasted a little different but might have been me. The Happy Hour tacos were delicious though will be returning for the Tartare again I love it!

Chips,guac &salsa

What a great place this is! Beautifully decorated and a great bar. Attentive and nice host, bartender and servers, great happy hour & creative cocktails. The food came out quick & was really good! We started with chips with guac and salsa. The chips were light and different than we have had at other places. We each had a taco which were both divine & my husband ordered the ceviche sampler. Im allergic to seafood, so didn't partake, but he thoroughly enjoyed it with enough to take home for another snack. The cocktails were beautifully done and quite tasty. We have driven past here a thousand times, & glad we had a bit of time to finally stop in and give it a try. I definitely recommend it if you haven't been,& enjoy Baja style cuisine. (There are a few parking spots in back and street parking as well.)

Lobster Eggs Benedict

Had a great experience at Encanto. The service was great, and the food was just as good as it looked! We got the $45/pp brunch and it was totally worth it. Lots of different starters were brought out, and then we each ordered an entree of our preference. I got the Lobster Eggs Benedict, and would highly recommend it! The only downer was their coffee/drink menu. They don't have the equipment/flavors/dairy to make a simple vanilla latte. They only have black coffee and cream. But, hopefully they will work on that.

Literally nothing to complain about. The host and waiters were great! Service was so top notch - jokes, recommendations and suggestions were alll awesome. They even played my type of music so of course I graced everyone with a show (if they paid any attention ) Anyways, we got mostly small plates - guacamole, chips and salsa, Chorizo queso fondido, Crispy papas with aioli, friend chicken skewered (not pictures) and aqua chilies (also not pictures). All of it was filling and shared between 3 people . Drinks were the favorite aside from the papas. They were made perfectly - slightly strong. Wished I would have tried the whole menu. Great combo.

Dulce de Leche cake, churros with chocolate & caramel sauce and flan!

Yesterday, my family and I went to Encanto for brunch and everything was absolutely fabulous! Not only was the food delicious, but the staff is all top notch! Our female server was sweet, helpful and very attentive. The table side Bloody Marys, served by John were amazing and almost a meal by themselves. (Bacon, onions, carrots, celery, olives) The bartender/ manager, Ruben was over the top wonderful! He has a great personality and was super welcoming. We were celebrating my dad's "heavenly" birthday, and he sent us desserts on the house in honour of my dad. We can't wait to go back!!

It was quiet when we first arrived and got busier the later it got. We ordered the grilled street corn, roasted cauliflower, and charred skirt steak. I always order a street corn when I see it on a menu. The roasted cauliflower I felt needed something more for me. I loved the charred skirt steak- perfect for sharing and cooked to our liking. Parking- small parking lot in back or street parking

The food was absolutely flavorful and delicious. The burrito had plenty of shrimp and the lobster Benedict was to die for, lol. We went on a Sunday to have brunch which is something of a fixed menu with a little starter of 3 plates then you choose your main plate and drinks are not included. I wasn't a big fan of the picked jalapeños, carrots and onions. Had a different taste than what I'm used to. Our waiter was sweet and gave great feedback. Dominic was very welcoming and relatable. Great service! The place is very welcoming, charming with a Mexican aesthetic, clean, big bar, plenty of inside seating, some outside seating, parking in back as well as street parking. Would definitely come back.

Vibrant Mexican spot with great brunch deal. Came here with my parents on a Sunday and we made a reservation online in advance. The deal is that you get a mix of appetizers and your choice of an entree for $45. There are upgrades/a la carte options as well. The shared apps include jalapeno cornbread, fruit, and smoked trout, but we ordered some oysters as well (which came with adorable mini Tabasco sauces). I had the avocado toast for my entree (vegan friendly) while my mom had the Al pastor omelet and my dad had the lobster Benedict. The food was all filling and we were stuffed by the end of the meal. Our waiter was super friendly. There was parking in the back as well as residential street parking. Indoor and outdoor seating available.

Churros and flan for dessert!

BRUNCH. Small group of us dined here recently for Sunday brunch and were treated to the tastiest smorgasbord. It's prix fixe with a sampling of sides and your choice of entree, which made it easy to split the bill, and the sides and little extras made the price worth it. Fresh fruit, ceviches, jalapeño cornbread, smoked trout, "fancy guacamole" with charcoal roasted octopus...by the time my huevos rancheros arrived I almost just took it to go. But...I didn't, and we still ordered little churros and chocolate for dessert. I didn't eat another full meal for the rest of the day! We were one of only two tables at 11am so clearly everyone is sleeping on this. Considering brunch in LA can be such a hassle, highly recommend trying this spot and going for flavor over hype. I've been to Encanto a few times before for just tacos and drinks at the bar and for dinner, but this was the meal that really impressed me. Definitely worth a try.

Came to Encanto for the first time and i will definitely be coming back. Our waitress Denise was wonderful and provided the best service I had ever experienced. The food was sooooooo good, I ordered the asada and eggs. The ambiance is a refined Mexican restaurant. I would definitely try their Bloody Mary cart and the margaritas. This is great for a date night or a bunch! 10/10!

A classic building with a great vibe serving "Baja" inspired food Food is good something's are a little off but some others are great We got to try a quite few dishes I recommend the place if you are celebrating something and want a place where to share some dishes and some drinks I got to try their ceviche platter and it comes with 4 options The aguachile is definitely not spicy so it would be perfect if you don't eat spicy, we order some tacos and they are in the expensive side for the size but you know, when you are eating out you have to pay. The asada taco was the star for $10.50, 4 inch taco They just sell the package of 3 for $32 Service is great and amazing Drinks are delicious

I've been coming to Encanto for a long time and it never disappoints! The branzino is my favorite and the best in LA! I've done a branzino tour all over LA and this is still the best! It's perfectly charred and the fish is still so tender. Best part?! Completely boneless. We usually pair it with the beans and rice and some papas and/or cauliflower or elote corn for sides. The papas are so yummy and crispy. Everything is so flavorful and delish! They have forever $10 margaritas as well. We had an incredible white wine and Pablo, our bartender, was so great! Great place for a date night or yummy night out with friends. Great service and food!

Food lacked any actual flavor.Expensive for sub par food. Will not be back. They did have their own parking lot so that was a plus.

The food is excellent, having tried the schnitzel, kielbasa, steak frites and pierogis. If you have room in the end, the bread pudding is fantastic. The portions are big and filling and we tend to end up with leftovers. Drinks menu is big, with a variety of creative cocktails and wines. Vibes are different depending on where you sit. Outdoor patio seating is great, and reminds of eating outdoors in a European cafe. Indoor seating is a little cramped if you're at one of the tables, which also sort of mimics European cafes. My one small knock on this restaurant is the service has been inconsistent. Couple times our waiter was great, but a couple times it was hard to flag them down, they didn't space out the dishes very well as the appetizers and entrees all came out the same time, or they forgot to bring water when we asked for it. Small things to complain about overall though.

Plenty of outdoor seating, but they only have a lot four tables and bar seating inside. Had the hash brown cake and the bread and butter and jam to start. The baguette was the average baguette. But the gym was pretty tasty. The hash brown cake is exactly what it sounds like. The hash brown deep-fried into a thick little cake but absolutely tasted amazing. Crispy tasty delicious. I had the breakfast Royale, which is two eggs, bacon, and one pancake. Can't really do wrong with this pancake was light fluffy, and moist. My daughter had the avocado toast with salmon and absolutely loved it. They were busy, but still made sure that we were treated right and service in bartender. We're very attentive.

I've been going to them more and more, and The Lucky Tiki was one I definitely had to try out. First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. Was the perfect spot for a lively date night!

FYI this place requires reservations, yet they apparently do not honor reservations…read more I have friends coming into town from Greece, so I made a reservation because they love tiki but have no way of experiencing it in Greece, and so they even got aloha shirts to wear. So after having a reservation for weeks, I get a text from this place saying someone booked a private event so my reservation is cancelled. How about instead of accepting $$$ for a private event that will deny customers their reservation, they make the private event work around what is available? Terrible way of doing business, but I hope they get lots of $$$ and engagement for the privileged private event attendees.

Service 4 stars: Friendly, attentive, efficient and helpful staff. Food 4 stars: You can order individually or share a few small and large plates as a group. We also ordered the following main plates: Beef Shishlik, Whole Branzino and Prime Short Rib Tagine. For dessert, we ordered the Chocolate & Halva Sundae and the Tiramisu. Everything we had was creative, used fresh ingredients, was nicely plated, and tasted wonderful. Prices are on the higher side, as expected for an upscale restaurant. It comes with an order of the dips and warm fresh pita, for the entree I chose the chicken kabob on a spread of labne and it also came with an ice cream sundae. My favorite item of the night was the crispy cauliflower followed by momo chips and the brussels sprouts. Momo chips are their version of fries served with ketchup and aioli. The brussels sprouts were smothered in olive oil and toasted almonds. The attention to detail in all of their dishes from an ingredients standpoint is definitely there.
