    cheese & potato Pierogi

I'm not sure what to give this place. I want to give it a 3 but I think what I got might just not be what to order. Wanted to try the pierogi, I will say the flavor is really good but their dough is more like ravioli dough it doesn't have the right texture of true pierogi. The filling is great though! It was also drowned in brown butter sauce so it got a bit greasy so I'm actually glad it only came with three. 3 pierogi being $26 would be hysterical in Poland. Nice staff just pretty slow. It's a cute place but Atwater has a lot of these cute places with food that isn't worth the prices lol.

My favorite jambon sandwich is here! Service staff is nice but could be more attentive. Lunch is great here. Burger and fries are always on point. I asked for a gin and orange drink but it came with no ice. The OJ was also so sweet that I needed to add water and ice to it. I would stick with the Vesper next time.

This post is all about the SHORT RIB PASTA! Came here on new years with friends and decided to split a bit of everything. The cocktails were yummy and the food did not disappoint. Service was nice and helpful. This felt like we were in a cute little hole in the wall in Paris or something. Ok so on to the goooods! The SHORT RIB PASTA blew our minds. It was the new years special and it was the perfect choice! I only wish there was more! Opted for truffle shavings and probably could've gone without. I went off of a pic for the PERSIMMON SALAD. I was expecting a sweet and savory salad but didn't really get that from this. That's my fault for not looking at the menu first. Tried the fried cheese appetizer and the steak too. Their were good but I'd go back mostly for the pasta!

    Their delicious schnitzel and fries.

I'd been meaning to try Bar Sinizki ever since poking my head in one day, and I'm glad I finally did. It's a small, cozy spot with a few tables outside and a distinctly European feel. The staff is warm and welcoming, and water appeared immediately--a small thing, but a big plus in my book. I'd heard the schnitzel was the thing to order, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. Perfectly browned and crisp, topped with capers, and truly delicious. The fries were excellent too--among the best I've had. And the martinis? Spot-on and only $12, which feels like a minor miracle these days. They don't take reservations, but if there's a wait, Atwater Village offers plenty of shops to browse. Well worth checking out.

Went here the other night for a night cap of cocktails. Food was no longer being served but we were really just looking for drinks, so it was perfect. Tried a few drinks just didn't remember what everyone ordered. I personally tried the Banana Republic with Saison Pale Caribbean Rum, Maraschino Liqueur, Kin - a - Peel Banana liqueur, Lime juice, Angostura Amaro. While there were a few things going on in the drink, the hope was that the banana would come through, or hopefully be prominent in some way, and it was not. There was also a Mai Tai which really didn't stand out in any way, unfortunately. As for the other drinks, no one in the group necessarily raved about how good their drink was, saying they were ok. So, overall, drinks were decent, not standing out necessarily, but the shushed is chill and you can drink outside on the street patio as well.

WOW!!!! I had an absolutely incredible dinner last night at this little gem. Tucked in the super trendy Atwater Village, Bar Sinizki did not disappoint! The zucchini salad was incredibly refreshing and a perfect starter. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and the chicken schnitzel was superb. And the star of the show? The amazing bread pudding!!!! I will be dreaming of that bread pudding for the rest of my life. The place is super cute, especially as we sat outside during a nice, warm summer night. And service was great. Our waitress was super helpful and kind. Can't wait to go back!

What a perfect little restaurant with a perfect little menu. We sat at the bar, which was just exquisite. In fact, everything about this place was exquisite. The floor tiles, the tables and chairs, and even the utensils and linens. I had the trout tartine and my husband had the chicken schnitzel. We also got a side of fries. The trout was absolutely perfectly balanced and flavorful. I just wish the bread was toasted on the side because it was soggy by the time it was being eaten. My husband had the schnitzel which I also tried. Very juicy and flavorful. He just wishes that the chicken was half in size. and maybe a side of fries with it instead of ordering a side of fries. The fries, by the way, were absolutely incredible. Double cooked and so crispy. The food did take a while to come out. Probably because of the schnitzel. It's a beautiful place and we can't wait to come back.

Stopped here after I wasn't able to go to another location and really happy I did! I was a walk in on a Wednesday and it was easy to get a seat outside. I only got a glass of wine and some fries while I was reading a book, but it was a lovely experience. The staff were so friendly and the ambiance is very nice. Next time I go there are so many dishes I want to try.

Updating my review because I tried a new item called the NorCal Sandwich and it was genuinely one of the best sandwiches I've had and I just had to let the people know. The focaccia was so good and the sauce they use is also so good. The ingredients were so fresh. Try it!!

We came upon this place by accident while cruising around Atwater Village on a Sunday afternoon. Looking for a bite, the outside tables looked inviting and the menu looked interesting. We ordered and Aperol spritz and a South African chardonnay. Both were refreshing and our server was well versed in the drinks they offered to answer any questions. We also had the Jambon Buerre (french ham sandwich) and the Trout Rillette. Both dishes were visually appealing and the portions were generous. The ham and gruyere sandwich with a pickle spread was proportioned just right between all of the elements and was easily eaten with the chewy, sourdough baguette. The trout rillette was best eaten with a fork and knife, accompanied by a large arugula salad and covered in capers and red onion. Someone knew what they were doing in the kitchen to elevate these dishes to something just a little bit special. Our service was just right - friendly and attentive, just the right amount. Overall we had a really nice and slightly different experience, just what we were looking for.

FANTASTIC all around. Such a great intimate vibe to enjoy a flavor explosion. Impossible to pick a favorite between the pierogi and steak frites we ordered. Will definitely be back to try the burger and Caesar salad - seeing them be served to other tables made me drool. We did have the banana cocktail at the request of our waitress, but did not love. We would have loved to sit outside but couldn't snag a table out there. It looked so nice!!! We didn't have to wait to be seated indoors though.

I was excited to try it, but unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Since my wife was ordering the prime rib, I tried the brisket based on our server's recommendation. It ended up being the biggest disappointment of the meal--it was very dry and lacked flavor. The prime rib was decent but nothing memorable, especially for the price. We visited on a quiet Sunday evening, and while the service was pleasant, it felt fairly average. After reading other reviews, it seems several guests have had a similar experience. One small thing that took away from the experience was the payment process. The server brought over a credit card machine and waited until I completed the transaction. Personally, I prefer having a little more privacy when paying the bill. I also noticed the suggested gratuity started at 22%, which felt a bit high to me. I understand restaurants rely on tips, but I prefer it when guests can make that decision without feeling rushed or pressured. The one thing Tam O'Shanter absolutely gets right is the atmosphere. The historic building, beautiful woodwork, and artwork create a unique dining experience that's worth appreciating. Overall, I really wanted to love Tam O'Shanter, but the food and service didn't justify the price. While the history and ambiance are impressive, I don't see myself returning and would recommend exploring other Los Angeles restaurants that offer better food and value.

You see, I grew up watching Zinedine Zidane and to me, the World Cup brings back childhood memories and family bonding time. The menu items took me back in time. Much to my surprise, I noticed that there was a Hungarian kielbasa & a Debreziner sausage listed on their $10 lunch deal. I was shocked that I had the opportunity to debate over which one to pick. DEBREZINER sausage (in German) or for us Hungarians, is better known as "Debreceni Virsli" and made in the region where my dad's side of the fam grew up. It's often served cut up on the sides and has a richer color. For me, it's a bit juicier and there's more paprika in there. It's more along the lines of chorizo, if that's what your flavorbuds prefer. It's made with sweet and hot paprika, garlic, pepper, and marjoram. If my dad had been with me that day, he'd opt for the Debreziner. After deliberating for a bit, I decided to go with the HUNGARIAN KIELBASA and decked it out with grilled onions, sauerkraut, and jalapeños (very hot, stated the menu). The jalapeños rivaled the outside 100+ degree temperature. Thankfully, the cool AC made me forget it was one sweltering summer's day. Also, the Hibiscus Cider was crisp and made my experience and the lackluster game worth my time out. I loved how easy the ordering went-just tap the menu on the iPad and voila, you got the whole spiel. Service was quick and felt welcoming like I was at home in someone's living room with tons of TVs all around. Sadly, France didn't show up to play in the game until the last 5 mins or so. Spain obvi deserved the win and yes, this year's cup for their fancy footwork. The vibe was great and the crowd around me were locals on a first name basis with the staff. With awesome cider and food as tasty as I had growing up at home, I think I'll make it a goal to be on a first name basis around here during the NHL & NFL season.

May not look like much from the outside but the inside has high ceilings and is very spacious! We…read moredropped by for lunch yesterday since we were in the area and were there right when they opened lol. Greeted by the loveliest staff, shoutout to Zel, absolute sweetheart and she KNOWS her beer!! Love how knowledgeable she was! They have a small parking lot that is shared by other businesses so it fills up fast. We passed it and didn't realize so we parked in the nearby neighborhood and just walked over. My bf ordered 2 beers, we got some lemon pepper dry rub wings, fries, and brioche link which were all fantastic. The fries here are THICK but very good!! Love the crispy bits and they're not oily, perfectly salted as well. Their Cusabi Ranch is a MUST try. I dipped both my wings and fries in them. It's a cucumber wasabi ranch dip and super refreshing!! Overall the vibe and food were great, drinks and prices excellent, and staff, even better. We are definitely looking forward to coming back again! IG: @ammysalamii
