    RIGATONI SPICY VODKA
    Elisa C.

A friend was in town and staying by the Beverly Center and wanted to get together for dinner nearby. With that instruction combined with the 2026 Red Dining Book, we wound up at the small neighborhood wine bar, Marvin. There are handful of outdoor tables on the side walk under a blue and white awning, we found ourselves dining inside under a ceiling of cans and colorful twinkle lights near the packed bar. The staff quickly greeted us and gave us our choice of tables as it hadn't quite filled up yet. The spicy vodka rigatoni lived up to all of the other reviews praises and is arguably one of the best ones I've had in LA (it also packs a bit of slow heat). Our waiter was honest when we asked about fries or truffle fries, his recommendation of regular fries delivered (the aioli was excellent with splash of lemon). The brussel sprouts were pan roasted well. The chicken parm (was a tad too salty) was huge and comes with a pesto pasta on the side.

Cozy neighborhood vibe. I will definitely come back for the truffle fries ,spicy vodka rigatoni , salami burrata & honey toast, grilled octopus, and Hamachi Crudo! It's just the morning after and I'm already craving. The chicken parm with a side of pesto pasta is huge but not my fave. The steak au poivre was good too. Service was friendly. It was a Friday night and the place was packed with cool LA people. Cant wait to be back for their appetizers and snacks!

I would never ever go back to this restaurant. Everything I wrong here but owner created a good ambience, sort of New York vibe. Let's stop there! No service at all, bread extra of course, wine ridiculous prices a small glass of wine with tax and tip is 33 dollars each !!!!!! Are you joking and nobody tells you how much the wine is. Btw you can't see anything inside. Wait go to marvito most ridiculous prices for bad food. All they have is good Lighting. DO NOR GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENTS. The father of the owner should br ashamed of what he is doing. A thief in LA

I think about the spicy vodka pasta from Marvin at least once a day. Sooooooo good highly recommend. Get the bolognese too. And the salami toast and the Italian chopped salad. And a bottle of wine

Cute little spot in weho. I've been here a couple times cause I crave their spicy rigatoni vodka pasta. Service is always good and they're always friendly, they also have a good selection of wines which is great when everyone wants something different. I loooovee the mussels however I wish they used higher quality seafood. The recipe is amazing but felt not so fresh. I also wanted to note that they do auto grat here 20%. Which is fine I guess, since I normally tip 20% anyway, I just wasn't expecting that for a place like this and was caught off guard. Would def come back next time I'm craving their spicy rigatoni but definitely not in a rush to come back

Overall, food was decent, but not really worth the prices. I enjoyed the jamon iberico as our starter. The veal chop was cooked decently with a nice crust but was underseasoned. Note that the space is cramped, with tables packed close together, and you really have to shout above the music and the surrounding conversations in order to be heard.

I went here the other week and really enjoyed it! We ordered a few different dishes, including the rigatoni spicy vodka, chicken parmesan, prime NY steak frites, potato chips & jamon iberico, and the salami, burrata, & honey toast. I loved each of the dishes we ordered, and I especially though that the salami, burrata, and honey toast was great. The service was good and I thought that the ambiance inside was nice and intimate. The tables are pretty close to each other, but I honestly liked the cozy setting. This is definitely a nice date spot. I know it is definitely more on the expensive side, but I would recommend for a nice night out! Will be returning!

That said, the wine list is so strong you could throw a dart and land well every time. The food complements the experience beautifully. The bruschetta was super fresh, light, and a great starter. The tomatoes were juicy and bright with that classic garlic and basil flavor. Nonna's meatball was also really good. It was tender and the marinara that had that slightly sweet, tomato-forward flavor with parmesan melted into it. And paired with the bread, it felt very comforting. The rigatoni vodka was solid. Pasta was cooked well, nice and al dente, and the sauce was creamy and so rich. The margherita pizza was a little on the smaller side, but honestly perfect for the two of us ladies to share alongside everything else. The tiramisu was a really nice way to finish the meal. Light, creamy and balanced. I loved the vibes here. Dim lighting, cozy ambience, and the service was pretty fast. I would definitely come back again.

Unfortunately, I think the vibe is completely off with this type of food, and I think it's hurting their customer base (I.e, there's a sports watching day, and live DJ?, but the food is definitely more for upscale vibes). I also didn't know they have a rotating menu with different chefs, so when I came in craving for something like steak frites and find out the don't have it even though their sample menu lists it on their website, it kind of throws my mood a little. Moreover, their wine list is not extensive considering it's a wine bar, and wine mentioned in their name :) Anyways I've digressed. With this special menu, I ordered the scallop tostada and maitake taco. The scallops were very fresh, and it was a very well balanced dish. I would totally order this again! The maitake mushroom was exploding with flavors, though I find the sauce a little too salty for my taste. If I came here just for food, I'd come back and try new things!

So I was excited to make a reservation during his residency! The menu is streamlined, which is great. I would say that the menu has influences from different cultures, both eastern and western, but with the backbone of Thai cuisine. Everything we ordered was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. We ordered: -Shrimp cigars -Oyster (and scallop) Cardinale -Salmon tartare -Steak frites -Pork toro panang (with some roti on the side to sop up the sauce) -Calpico ice cream (with fig jam and crispy rice) And of course plenty of delicious wine! I was also able to play some of my old French records on their record player on the later side with was fun! On a side note: also came here in the morning during a previous visit and had the biscuits and gravy, which were also very awesome. Enjoyed that meal with a nice cup of coffee while watching some sports.

The staff is well-dressed, well-trained, and genuinely friendly; the host on duty, Bella, tended to us during our short wait, keeping us engaged and getting us seated just as soon as she could. The decor blends spartan industrial chic with dark wood accents that tempter what might be a cold environment, making it inviting and comfortable. Our server, Diego, got right to us, answered menu questions with good humor, and convinced the chef to make my wife a dinner-time dish when he discovered her first selection had run out. Bread service (on request) was artisan sourdough, hot from the oven, served with rich butter and a tiny mound of salt. Simple and very tasty. My wife's Cacio e Pepe was, by her estimation, the very best she's ever had. The al dente pasta was coated in a sharp Parmesan that was keenly offset by the sweetness of a Tomato Jam served on the side. A very well-balanced and satisfying bite. For my own part, the Quiche Lorraine was buttery and rich, and brimming with bacon and cheese. The lightly dressed salad alongside was a perfect foil, cutting the sharpness nicely. I must also mention that the folks next to us had a table full of yummy-looking, yummy-smelling food, from a cheese and charcuterie board to pizza, an omelet and beautifully prepared veggies.
