First time trying this place for Dine LA Resturaunt week and I was impressed by the ambiance and presentation. They offered a 3 course meal during dinner for $55 which also included a glass of wine. What I Ordered Starter * Glass of White Wine * Cheese Bread (served hot and fresh) 9/10 Main * Picanha Steak (Thoroughly cooked and seasoned) 8.5/10 * Broccolini (tasted bland and crunch) 2/10 * Chimichurri Sauce (Zesty flavor and great accompaniment with the steak) Sides * Mashed Potatoes (bland and just had a butter taste, could add more seasoning) 4/10 Dessert * Raspberry Ice Cake (fantastic and have refreshing ice cream cheesecake) 10/10 Loved the decor and ambiance with a few stand out dishes, but it wasn't the best flavor profile for me. I wouldn't reccomend overall
Been meaning to check this place out now that I work across the street. Took a friend to work for lunch for her bday. The interior is very Tommy Bahama, in my opinion. It's a big space. We got there at 11:30 and were the only ones there but more people came as time went by. The staff was very attentive. We got our pick of dining area. We were given small cheese bread rolls that reminded me of the flavor of Cheez-its which I like. We both took advantage of the lunch menu ($25 for two items - you chose from about a dozen dishes). I got the salmon tostada and the shrimp taco. My friend got the tuna tostada and shrimp taco. I enjoyed the tostada and while the shrimp taco was good, it could have used more flavor. We were given some green salsa when they brought out dishes. A flan/chocolate cake was provided as a complimentary bday dessert. Want to check out their happy hour and dancer some time in the future.
Came here for dinner with friends on a Wednesday night. There were only a handful of people in the restaurant. It's very spacious and nicely decorated. There was a DJ and a live Brazilian performer. Music was loud, so it's best to come on a Friday or Saturday night when you're in the mood to kickstart a night out. There are TVs at the bar, and people were there watching the World Cup. I enjoyed most of what I tried. My favorites were the shrimp à la casserole, picanha steak with chimichurri sauce, and branzino. Didn't really care for the tostada or Brussels sprouts. Their Brussels sprouts are pretty much only crispy leaves, instead of the traditional hearty sprouts. The passion fruit cheesecake was very good! Drinks were wel-made. I recommend the passion fruit caipirinha. Service was excellent. I highly recommend John Paul. Street parking is available very close to the restaurant but fills up fast. There is valet at the Biltmore Hotel (connected to the restaurant) for $50 or self parking in the garage for $15 after validation. Restrooms are an area for improvement and did not match the nice atmosphere of the dining space. Overall, this was an elevated restaurant with a fun atmosphere and an eclectic menu. Something here for everyone. I'll definitely be back to try the brunch and happy hour.
I came here for my bf's bday and enjoyed the food! The free cheese bread they gave was divine and a great appetizer. The tuna tartare tower was pretty basic, wasn't too special but enjoyable. The cheese fondue was a cheese lover's dream as it was truffle flavored and paired well with the cheese bread (as recommended) Honestly, the crackers provided was alright and they should sub it for something similar to the cheese bread. The star of the show was definitely the picanha as everyone orders. The chimichurri was a nice touch, and the small broccolini was decent, although definitely just for show. The mashed potatoes were nice and creamy! I also got the Brazilian soda which was interesting to try and pretty yummy! Wouldn't say it paired too well with the picanha tho lol The interior is so beautiful and looks like you've been transported to Tulum, which is definitely a stark contrast to DTLA outside.
Came here to check out one of the participating restaurants during dineLA week, which was also my first time visiting here. The restaurant itself was super clean and beautiful inside. We thought there would be a dj and fire show but found out that they only offered those on Friday and Saturdays. We were one of 3 tables filled in the restaurant so the service was pretty fast. The cheese bread was pretty dry but we ended up asking for garlic butter on the side which redeemed them. We ordered the steak and fish for our entries with mashed potatoes and rice on the side. The steak was cooked and seasoned well and it came with chimichurri on the side. My broccoli was cold and unseasoned. The fish was bland and the sauce it came with didn't help at all. The raspberry ice cake was just okay. Although be ambience and service was great, the food fell short.
I don't come to Los Angeles that often anymore but my friend had her birthday dinner here and it was a wonderful experience. They were really patient with us because we did take a while to decide on what to order since we were all lost in conversation catching up with each other. The appetizers were delicious and were large enough to share between all of us. I hugely recommend the truffle dishes. The fondue was absolutely delicious! We ordered the fish and tomahawk steaks and everything was so good. Be service was attentive and our server Igor was really good about anticipating our needs. The dinner also came with a fire dancing performance which was tell cool. The ambiance of the restaurant was really nice and romantic with the mood lighting. Valet parking was 17 dollars and there is parking at the hotel too with validation. All in all, worth the trip to LA for a good time with friends and good food.
Great lunch place for work days. I come here for the picanha steak and the bottomless mimosas, which is 25 with the purchase of any entree. The Brazilian bread is delicious and the hostess and server are friendly and follow up often. I've also gotten the Moca Colada, which is a mocktail. It's really good but a bit too sweet for me to finish the entire drink. The picanha steak is great, although I have heard people being surprised at the layer of fat, even when previously cautioned about it. I personally dont mind it but I know some do. If youre looking for a place downtown to have a nicer lunch, come try this place out!
Decided to come here for a girls' brunch. The ambiance was nice, the DJ was playing good music, and the dancing disco ball made the experience very unique. However, the service was not welcoming at all. We all decided to do the bottomless mimosas, and when our waitress brought the drinks to the table, she said, "Don't get drunk," and walked away. We found the comment strange, but we brushed it off and continued enjoying our time. Later, a woman who was not in uniform, whom I'm assuming was a supervisor or manager, came by to check on us. When we requested a refill on our bottomless mimosas, she responded, "Wow, you don't have work tomorrow?" We awkwardly laughed and said no. Both comments made us feel uncomfortable and, honestly, a little judged for ordering the bottomless mimosas--which were an option offered by the restaurant. We came to enjoy a girls' brunch and expected the staff to make us feel welcome, not make comments about how much we were drinking. The atmosphere was great, but unfortunately, the service really took away from the overall experience. Would not recommend this location.
I was looking for somewhere in LA with dinner and a show so we made reservations here. Easy reservations online, and food was great. Steak was perfectly cooked and so tender and flavorful. The rest of the sides/app were great too. My least favorite had to be the tuna tower from what we ordered. Service was great by our server. Beautiful dim restaurant with cool decor. Biggest downside for me was the show. I went for the show specifically but it lasted about 3 minutes! Very very disappointing so if you're going for the fire shows, it's definitely not what they advertise it to be. If it weren't for the great food and server, I would definitely rate a lot lower.

We started with truffle fries, can never go wrong with that. Then we had the Kale Caesar salad, it was fresh and flavorful with enough parmesan and crunch. The picanha was a stand out dish, it was perfectly seared, and tons of flavor, and juicy. The street cord was smokey, creamy and packed with flavor. The moqueca de piece was comforting, nice balance of coconut and herbs. Overall it was a great place to celebrate our birthdays, thanks to the complimentary dessert. Highly recommend to celebrate a birthday here.

The drinks were great, and the bartender was fast. We had a party of about 20 people and opted for the set menu. The first dish that came out--the salmon tostada--had very little salmon. On top of that, they brought out one plate with four pieces and expected six people to share it. When we asked about it, the waiter said it would be taken care of, but the second plate that came out was still short. After speaking to (I believe) a manager, they finally brought out more food. I didn't want them to overcompensate or waste food, just to provide reasonable portion sizes for the number of people at each table. After that, though, there was actually too much food, which I'm not complaining about. As for the rest of the meal: the steak and chicken tacos were dry, the steak especially. The corn was good but tasted slightly off. The fish with the green sauce wasn't great either, and the soup thing was just okay. Honestly, the food overall wasn't very good. The best items were the cheese balls and the salmon tostada. Service was good, and the vibe was lively and loud--probably great for a fun date night or group celebration. I'd come back for drinks and the atmosphere, but not for the food.
Mmm...Well our server was very nice and attentive. Although we had to send the first two batches of fries out for being cold our waitress promptly took them away and brought us out a fresh batch. The ambience is nice and the inside is decorated nicely...sadly they completely missed the ball on the bathrooms as they were littered with tissue and napkins and didn't have any seat covers...We also didn't see any of the dancers on our visit but my biggest issue was the sugary drinksssss. Every single drink from the lychee martini to the lemon drops were sooo sugary! See the attached picture for how the bottoms of our drinks looked & at 19$ each that's unbelievable. Probably won't be back but hey give it a try...
This place has incredible vibes and it's the perfect spot for a date night! Their food is really good too, I loved the freshness of the branzino, and the s'mores cookie was amazing! Service is fantastic, and the food comes out quickly! The ambiance is so nice and there was a live dj and a live fire performance the night I went! You can park at the connecting hotel and get validation, so parking ends up being $15. read more

We found this new-ish place on the way back from another restaurant back in February. We liked their cocktails and said we should come back another time for the food. Dine LA rolled around, and we went on a Wednesday night. For Dine LA, they offered a set menu (house wine, entree, side, dessert). But then we opted to go a la carte and order our appetizers and drinks. The drinks were delicious as always. The meat entrees were soft and mild flavored. The ambiance was another highlight. The inside was well decorated. A DJ started playing tracks around 7 PM. A fire dancer went around dancing and performing tricks around 7:45 PM. I'm not sure if this is typical for weeknights or if it was because of Dine LA. We'll be back for golden hour (3-6 PM) or perhaps lunch. read more

Nice place but not at all worth the price , food took a while and our server left mid service assuming his shift was off and had to flag down another server to even get the first part of our meal. Food wasn't worth the wait or price. Good ambiance though very lively place read more

I decided to give this place another try when it was less crowded since my first visit was very busy. I ordered the truffle fries again, picanha steak, mashed potatoes, rio margarita, Posto Oito cocktail, and S'mores Cookie The complimentary bread is VERY good, they are so addicting, be careful not to fill yourself up with those! The Truffle fries were once again a solid choice, great flavor, good shareable size, and came out hot, I would again recommend to order this. The Picanha steak was very juicy and tender, keep in mind this cut is not a melt in your mouth steak, it is a bit more gamey; however, it was cooked exactly medium rare as I requested which is very hard to do and most places struggle with that. The Chimichurri sauce with the steak was delicious, and asked for more. The mashed potatoes was a good shareable size, it had a nice simple buttery flavor to it and a fluffy consistency. Both Cocktails I ordered were very very good, well worth the price. I feel the drinks are a reasonable price and compare to what most places around charge for a drink. The drinks have a nice presentation, and even better flavor, I would recommend any drink on the menu. The S'mores cookies was AMAZING, it was hot, and had that melt in your mouth, I would highly recommend to order this! Overall, I'm glad I gave this place another shot, the staff were friendly once again, and as I mentioned before, the ambiance is great for both groups or a date, it is very well decorated. What an amazing find! They have great lunch specials. Pick 2 specialties for $25. They bring you complimentary Brazilian cheese bread which is super delicious and gluten free. Most of their menu is gluten free as well. The portions are just right for lunch especially with the cheese bread. The shrimp stew is like a Thai yellow curry which I am. It complaining about. The service was excellent too. And the place itself is so chill and calm. It's beautiful. read more
Came here for an event and was very pleasantly impressed; the interior is pretty and is both lounge-y and like a restaurant, and the service is great. Additionally, food and drinks are fab; the happy hour is long and has plenty of options. Plus, they're pretty affordable. Would definitely be back, oh! And they are great to work with if you're trying to plan an event. Cheapest parking for the evening is actually the self park at the Biltmore; they'll validate and you'll only pay $15. If you self park, head in and then turn left after the lobby; look for the sign on the left and head down the staircase. FYI, there's stairs and no elevators that head that way. read more

Casa Ipanema has become of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles!! Such a great spot for a date night or girls night out. Their brazilian cheese bread is a must (and unlimited) and the servers will happily provide a refill of them! Their picanha is one of my favorite dishes to order and they just came out with this new raspberry ice cake dessert. It's a must try! read more
We were a party of two on New Year's Day, and this was one of the few restaurants open -- it was our first time here and we were really glad we stopped in. Very nice tropical decor, chilled crowd and wasn't that busy, but that's understandable since it was New Year's Day. We were seated right away, and our server was super nice and took great care of us. The food came out quickly and everything was absolutely delicious. It was a great way to start the New Year. We were very happy with our experience and will definitely be back. read more

We had a great time! We dined here on fathers day lunch. Service was very good, friendly and very attentive. It's very beautiful and elegant inside. Parking is little far from the restaurant, they did validate to $15 for lunch time. but there also was other street options closer. We got picanha, truffle Parmesan fries. Queso dish, avocado crispy rice and breakfast picanha and eggs. The steak was very tender and juicy. Everything else tasted very good as well. Loved the cheese bread they serve on the house. Delicious! They also had a dancer. Very entertaining. We had a toddler with us. Definitely not a baby friendly place. They don't have high chair or kids menu. Although the staff was very baby friendly:) Next time we will definitely come here for date night or girls night out. read more
Ipanema has become an annual event for us, since we had drinks and appetizers last May and loved it. This visit, we sat at the bar so we could enjoy the bartender mixing up our delicious caipirinhas. It took us back to Rio, what a great memory! The avocado toast brought us back to CA flavors with a twist, a great fusion. The bar vibe is definitely LA, and a year later feels like a comfortable part of the neighborhood. read more

We came here on a Thursday evening to celebrate my husband's 53rd birthday. We self parked in the Biltmore Hotel for $15 with validation. The venue is elegant and spacious. They do have a dress code, so read the fine print before you go. We were seated right away, but could not sit in the main part of the restaurant due to a function they were preparing for that night. Our service was a bit underwhelming compared to the reviews I read prior to coming here. Even though the main event had not started yet, everyone was preoccupied with the people who weren't there (preparing drinks, place settings, ...)). instead of focusing on the people who were already there. We also had a new waiter who was timid and needed to be prompted to reside his voice so that he was audible. Our food was just okay. We ordered the main dish (picanha)) and the pork chops. The steak was flavored well, but chewy. It had fat, which I like, but it was so hard it was inedible. As for the pork chop, it was on the drier side. Our drinks and Brussels sprouts (appetizer) were absolutely amazing! read more
We stumbled upon this spot after attending the magic show upstairs at the Biltmore. This place is a vibe! And the food is great too. I had the Picahna and the others in my group had the Pistachio Crusted Fish and everything was delicious. The service is great, and they have a DJ playing lively music in the background. They even have a fire dancer perform a short show at certain points throughout the night. This is a great place to celebrate a special occasion or just to have a nice, lively dinner. The service was amazing. Carol was such a great server. She immediately offered us water (sparkling, still or tap) and complimentary cheese bread. She also mentioned the separate Dine LA menu which I was aware of. The Fondue and Picanha had good flavor. The pistachio crusted fish could've used more seasoning and flavor. A little bland for my liking that's why the 4 star instead of the 5 star rating. The fire dancer was such a unique experience. We saw her perform twice during our dinner service. Then at the end of the meal although our preset menu had dessert my boyfriend received a complimentary choco flan for his birthday and they sang for him. Special thanks to Beatrice and JP! They both were so attentive to our groups needs. The Service was exceptional! The chef at this restaurant made everything so perfectly delicious. We had steak, chicken with mango sauce, white fish with white rice, mashed potatoes, broccolini, and for dessert bake cookies with ice cream. Drinks were just exquisitely crafted. The overall experience was like no other because of the service and the ambience. The fire performer came around twice to perform and perform around the entire restaurant so everyone gets a view of the show. I believe her times were 8 and 9 PM. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for any occasion, but if you want to make a birthday extra special, this would be the spot ! Happened to be in the area and was walking past this place. I was intrigued when looking in the window to see a beautiful restaurant/ bar inside. We decided to go in and check it out, and wow we were so glad we did. Had a drink at the bar and 10 minutes later the fire dancer started, which was awesome. My drink was delicious, bar staff were very nice. We definitely will be coming back for brunch. The ambiance of this restaurant gives you a feeling like you are on vacation. Love it. read more

Starting off on how amazing the entire staff was. Extremely attentive. We had reservations for Saturday at 730pm. Parking is located on 5th and Grand at the Biltmore Hotel- $35 for valet (validation included) $15 for self park (w/ validation). There is hotel entrance to the restaurant in the lobby (left hand side) downstairs; you will see the door easel. It gives Tulum vibes but not trying hard either. This is Brazilian inspired - same owners as H & H Brazilian Steak House. It is a great open space perfect big parties or small. The ambience is loud but not too loud where you're not able to enjoy a conversation which I could appreciate. The fire dancers were a great touch to the dining experience. We ordered capirinhias- traditional for me and my sister ordered the passion fruit version. We then had truffle fries and Brussels sprouts both tasty. For our main my sister and I shared the three cheese filet mignon with broccolini and a side of mashed potatoes. I enjoyed the meat cooked to a perfect MR. For dessert we had the cookie with marshmallow and I believe caramel drizzle? I highly recommend dining here, I'm shocked it's not packed granted they just opened up in March I believe. Recently, I planned a birthday party here for one of my best friends with a group of 15, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. Everything ran so smoothly, and it honestly made the celebration feel effortless and special. If you go on a Friday evening, you're in for a real treat--the fire show is absolutely incredible and not to be missed! It adds such a unique, exciting vibe to the night that makes the whole evening feel like a mini getaway. The service here is consistently amazing. From the host who truly seems to do it all, to our wonderful server Gaby (they both deserves a special shoutout!), everyone makes you feel welcomed and taken care of. You can tell they put their heart into making sure guests have the best possible time. The food is always delicious and priced really well for the quality you get. Every dish I've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. On top of that, the venue itself is stunning--it honestly gives me Tulum vibes with the gorgeous décor, thoughtfully arranged tables, and the warm, inviting atmosphere. It's the kind of place that instantly puts you in a good mood as soon as you walk in. To make it even better, there's usually a DJ spinning great music that keeps the energy up all night. Boozy - 4.5/5 The mimosas were really tasty and listed at $25 for bottomless on both Saturdays and Sundays. Drinks were dangerously delicious and continued to flow throughout our time here. Brown - 3/5 Aesthetic was beautiful and the service was great. Special shoutout to Jose who made us feel incredibly welcome and who was so thoughtful and kind. The place was a little empty for a Saturday afternoon/brunch hour (1:30pm) this place deserves more recognition and perhaps that happens on their promoted Sunday brunches - we came on a Saturday. On Sundays they have a live DJ and dancer for entertainment. The music today was fine and the customers that were here were of diverse backgrounds but perhaps we need a Sunday experience to give it a more accurate representation of their culture. For now, we landed on a 3/5. Brunch - 5/5 We had the Picanha Chilaquiles, Enchiladas de Camarones, Shrimp à la Casserole, Picanha n Eggs, and the White Melt Brûlée and everything was DELICIOUS. While the food is on the upper end, pricing wise, it is worth it. The chilaquiles had a wonderful spicy kick to it that had notes of homemade flavor and tender flavorful meat that felt like it came straight from the grill - asado to perfection. The enchiladas were amazingly done with a beautiful sauce and shrimp filling that'll have your mouth watering for more. The shrimp casserole was excellently saucy and savory with juicy and plump shrimps, clearly cooked with care and joy. The Picanha and eggs were so flavorful with asauce so good, I t'll make you say, "this is SO good!" We ended our brunch with the white melt brûlée and it did not disappoint! They have a wonderful twist on the classics brûlée making us this close to licking the plate. read more

Amazing experience! The food was delicious. Their cheese bread was amazing. I could've eaten 20 of them! The in-house DJ made it feel as if you were in Miami or in Tulum ! The fire dancer was absolutely killer. She did such an amazing job at captivating and balancing her performance! The service was amazing. Servers were very friendly. We went there to celebrate my father's birthday and we will definitely be back! The reason for the four out of five is for parking and location in a sense. Location is fine however because there's not that much traffic it was really dead which was great for the intimate night we preferred but next time I would love to see it more poppin when I go. read more

Me and my best friend came here to celebrate her birthday. We ordered the enchiladas, mango chicken, street corn, mashed potatoes and broccolini. Biggest issue about the food, it came out cold. Every dish was cold or just about room temperature. Which was very surprising as the restaurant was not busy and food came out fairly quickly. The mashed potatoes were the warmest but only once you got to the middle. We were warned about the enchilada plate being hot, but the food itself was cold. We spoke to management regarding it, and they offered to warm everything up but we declined as we did not just want the food to be throw in a microwave. After declining to rewarm, they offered to remake everything, but we declined as we had already eaten half of the food cold and knew we would not finish the new food they would make. So They decided to bring out 2 of their tacos for us to try at free of charge but the shrimp tacos we received looked very undercooked as one side of the shrimp were pink but the other was still grey. Safe to say we did not eat them. Overall, the place was cute, fire dancer was the best part of the evening. Staff were friendly and so was management and we appreciated their efforts to try to make things right, but the food was a definite let down. Unfortunately we would not be back after our experience. read more
