The views are absolutely stunning and gorgeous! People aren't leading you astray when they say it's lovely! Open space with great lighting especially in the morning time, feels very airy. Got the omelet plate which came with three toppings of my choice. It also came with roasted potatoes and some fruit (blueberries and blackberries). Delicious breakfast! I also got coffee which gave me the perfect caffeine buzz and the server refilled my coffee. My friend and I shared a butter croissant and it came out warm and perfectly flaky! The service was also incredible and our server was friendly and attentive which we appreciated! They do offer valet parking which they validate for two hours for a set amount then additional time adds a fee.

The view of course is #1. Service was also great. While my companions ordered the Eggs Benedict, I enjoyed the omelet plate with shrimp. Elegant presentation and was filling. There are meal comps with hotel stay, but anyone is welcome to come to the restaurant.

we had Valentine's Day dinner at La boucherie We asked our waiter for his recommendations, and he suggested the seared scallops pasta, octopus, hamachi, and onion soup. We found the majority of the dishes to be amazingly good, and we were truly surprised by how great the food was. While the onion soup was just okay, the rest of the meal and the excellent service more than made up for it. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back.

My review is based on the breakfast menu, not dinner. Breakfast was okay--nothing too impressive--but we mainly wanted to try this place because of the views, which honestly are worth it. My original plan was to have dinner to celebrate my anniversary, but just so you know, there is no dinner service on Sundays and Mondays, only breakfast. The service was good and fast, and they surprised us with a very nice gesture for our anniversary, which we really appreciated. That's the reason for the 4 stars. I'll definitely be back to try dinner since I've seen great recommendations for it--hopefully that will earn the 5 stars.

Let me start with what's good! Steak! And I also heard from a person sitting next to me that the lamb was the best he ever ate in his life (and he did look old so long life :)). The views around. What was truly disappointing: I was dining by myself and it didn't help to cheer up that I was seated at the worst table - by the butcher freezers on one side and with a big column hiding any sight of the city view. Ughhh... They brought the food menu first and 10 minutes later drink/wine menu. How convenient. I ordered filet mignon and roasted garlic broccolini. It took at least one hour before I got my food. Steak was delish, 10/10 no complaints. But the side pepper and broccolini were cold. It didn't fit well. I was so tired and upset I just ate it without making a comment. The waiter also asked how the food was before I even had a bite of it (I didn't know the sides were cold at that time and he never came back to follow up, until the check was brought). The menu listed that there was gratuity 18% included for groups of 5+. I was a group of 1. I had 18% gratuity included. I regret of not bringing this up, but I was honestly shocked and tired and just wanted to leave asap. I'm sad that I was really looking forward to go back to La Boucherie in the morning for a nice breakfast before the conference. Instead, I wanted to stay as far as possible and not spend a penny at this place. This was the first time I stayed at the hotel in down town LA and I feel traumatized, honestly. May be I am dramatic but the depressing seating place, long wait, and cold food? For almost $200 bill? Not acceptable, comparatively.

Had breakfast here the next morning, liked the food better. Recommend the Benedict with avocado and arugula Breakfast gets super busy and theres a long wait so come early. Again, 18% gratuity included

Came in for a girls' dinner and I'm so happy we chose this spot. The skyline view was absolutely stunning, and the food was just as impressive. The ambiance was moody, elegant, and perfect for a night out, and the service was truly top tier. Everything from start to finish was a great experience -- we'll definitely be coming back!

A5 Wagyu New York

Probably the most elegant spot in DTLA. Pristine dining room with spectacular views. Impeccable service. The seafood platter has everything you would ever want. The bread! I meal on its own. Unbelievable. I had the 5A Wagyu NY. Not really my thing. It's like eating a big piece of gristle. I should have gone with the filet. But worth the money. Yes, every penny. So many pennies that will break your bank account balance.

Finally dine at La Boucherie, it did not disappoint. First thing in the view. Floor-to-ceiling windows the DTLA city skyline and the slow crawl of cars on the i10 like liquid gold. Our table at sunset felt like front-row seats to a private show. Service was excellent as well. Water glasses never dipped below half-full. Courses arrived with calm, precise explanations. We ordered the Tomahawk steak, Octopus, Scallop paste, and a chicken dish. Everything tastes better than expected. Often time these restaurants with views the foods not up to par, but not La Boucherie. The only reason for not 5 stars is the price is in the higher side.

Brian K.

Amazing view! Friendly service and really good food. Nothing that was a super stand out, but everything was pretty good. The unfortunate thing was really the timing with the service. The time between dishes was really long and we were waiting to get a hold of our waitress for a long time. We got the starlight table which had the most amazing view, but a really high minimum spend. The view was probably worth it, but the value for the money wasn't really there.

Hi desert egg omelette

Breakfast here was included with our hotel stay, so that's all I'm reviewing. The restaurant is located on the 71st floor of the Intercontinental hotel in downtown LA. The view is absolutely amazing. You get a 360 view of the entire city. The first day we ate here was a Sunday and it was very crowded. Our food took 1 hour to come. The second day, on Monday, was quiet. We had the same server, Ray, on both days and he was very pleasant and attentive. We tried the huevos rancheros, dulce de leche croissant French toast, chicken apple sausage - all were delicious, though the French toast was very sweet. The "hi desert egg" omelette was just ok, their eggs are cooked pretty bland as the next day was the same with the elevated view breakfast. The shakshuka was interesting - it was cream-based and I haven't seen it like that before. The flavors were good, though. The coffee/cappuccino was not very good, which was a bit disappointing as it would have gone well with my breakfast. Both days we wanted to order a smoothie but they didn't have any. The food presentation was excellent.

Views are spectacular! Beautiful view in a beautifully designed restaurant. Certainly a celebratory dinner restaurant. A very quiet and classy atmosphere. Xochitl was great and very accommodating! Food was very good -- ribeye (with salts and other accoutrements) was excellent, lobster macaroni and cheese was pretty good, and broccolini with garlic was garlicky but not overdone. The only thing I wouldn't get again is the crab Louie salad as I didn't love the greens they chose for this one. Wine and alcohol selections are great and sommelier paired. Parking is valet or self-parking but careful if you exceed two hours, it goes from $16 to $46 lol.

Australian Wagyu Tomahawk, Mac & Cheese, Mashed Potatoes.

Although I'm never going to suggest going to a steakhouse, my in-laws were visiting and it's what they wanted so a reservation was made, and here we are. We came to La Boucherie on a Saturday night and got a nice table right near a window overlooking Downtown Los Angeles. First and foremost, you can't beat the view or atmosphere here. The restaurant looks great and the view really is breathtaking. The menu is comparable to most other steakhouses, having a large list of steaks, some seafood options, and a bunch of appetizers and deserts to fill you up no matter what you want to eat. My wife and I decided to split the Australian Wagyu Tomahwak, which is a 32oz piece of meat that I probably could of eaten on my own, but we shared it and I wasn't a savage animal. We also got macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and veggies for the table to split. Let's discuss some food. Mac & Cheese- I really liked the mac & cheese. The texture was nice, the cheeses flavour was really, really good, and it was the perfect side piece. Mashed Potatoes- Really enjoyed the flavour, these were some good mashed potatoes. Australian Wagyu Tomahawk- We ordered it rare and that's exactly how it came. The steak itself was good, but I don't think it was anything special to be honest, just a solid steak. Overall, La Boucherie made my in-laws happy and that was what we were going for. The atmosphere was nice, the food was good, and the service was fantastic as well. I'll be honest, I won't be coming back here anytime soon since I simply don't care to eat steak very much, but I was pleased with the experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone downtown looking for a steak.

Is there valet parking? Or what parking is close by?

Yes, there is both valet and self parking for about $17, for two hours, when validated! It gets substantially more expensive after that.

Does the restaurant require a vaccination card to dine?

Is there a tasting menu?

Do not remember seeing this.

What is the difference between main dining seating and standard seating?

The main dining is standard with a table, but there's also the bar or the private suites and chef's table.

Are they open or still temporarily closed?

They are reopening on January 14, 2022! 😬

I have a reservation. Is dress code enforced? And are sneakers ok if you dress them up casually?

It is a French steakhouse with an awesome view. One does not have to wear a tux or formal gown but definitely no tennis shoes !!!! Just my opinion 😊

Is there an age requirement?

I don't believe there's an age requirement but it's more of an adult environment for the restaurant.

Is there live music for slow dancing?

Unfortunately, there is no music to dance to. They do have music on the background just to sooth the moment.

What is the corkage fee?

You'll be fine with out a jacket !

Can you just go for drinks?

Yes, there is a bar with a large selection of top shelf spirits.

Do they offer any vegetarian options?

Yes

What's the difference between bar seating and standard seating? It asks me to choose while making a reservation. I want a window table so which do I request?

The bar is in the center section, if you want a window seat it would be a standard table. If you specifically want a window spot you should probably call in and request it directly.

Should u be 21+?

You do not have to be 21+ to dine here. Upscale adult vibes.

Open table says "jacket preferred" on the dress. Really?

Forget what the maitre d' thinks. Ask your girlfriend or wife if she'd prefer you put on a jacket and tuck your shirt in. I bet she takes the time to look great before she goes out; why don't YOU be the eye candy for a change? You might like it.… Read more

The type of bar you choose is important. But sometimes, the Bar Chooses You! Bar Magnolia quietly enters the chat. It was October 11th, 2025 and my wife & I just checked into Hotel Figueroa in DTLA. (EPIC REVIEW Coming Soon!!!) While we were waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to check out the Hotel Bar Lounge... First thought, Color me Impressed! High ceilings, Natural lighting, classy decor, comfy couches... Yeah, take your time with that room, we'll wait! So we plopped down onto their sofa, waited for a cocktail menu, and let the "we left the kids at home with Grandma; let's enjoy being kid-free for the night begin". $18.00 cocktails....Lets Goooo!! Looking back at the Photos, I can't exactly recall what we ordered... Was it a whiskey sour? Was it a paper plane?? Honestly, Who cares! They tasted great. I was sitting across from a beautiful woman. And we were responsibly adulting. What more could a guy ask for?? I'm glad you asked! After a long car ride in, sipping on water, then the first few sips of my cocktail, I suddenly had to go... Luckily, the restrooms are located just adjacent to the bar area and DAMN are they clean!! Hey, if a bar restroom is well taken care of, you know the place has Class.... And Bar Magnolia has the Class to Match! Of course, there is bar stool seating at the bar... We were able to get a seat on the coach and order drinks from the bar relatively quickly. Prices were pretty typical of LA ($18-25 a cocktail) but I would say I probably won't come back this late as it's in a shadier part of town. They have a bouncer and it was fine inside, but it's not a place where you can bar hop if that's what you're looking for as the area is seedy. Would be interested to try the food next time, but again, the safety and comfort of the light of day.

NOVEMBER 26.2025…read more I've been through many iterations of The Library Bar over the years... from small and cozy secret bar for those that work in the looming skyscrapers of Downtown LA to being some noisy urban hip hop affair that served godawful drinks (see my past review!), and on back to being a calm and casual neighborhood bar again. The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.
