One of the many rooms - June 2026

I went in with just average expectations. We were there to celebrate a birthday, it was a restaurant my son had heard about (he's 13), and we made reservations and went. With every course we went from, "hey...this is good..." to "...oh, this might be a new place for us ..." to " this is our place and we are coming back soon!" Mid meal I started making a list in my notes app of what we wanted to try and re-order next visit. So, that notes app includes ... superfood salad, any steak specials they offer, lobster escargot, and all the desserts. We had decided on our entrees when we heard the specials and ordered one or two of those steaks at MP (shown in receipt). The restaurant is gorgeous, the bathrooms and bathroom attendant are amazing, they're serious about their dress code, and (don't kill me but) the bread tastes like Pillsbury crescent rolls. It was a great night, excellent service, and a new favorite steakhouse. Never thought we'd say it, but CUT down the street has some serious competition.

We love Steak 48 so we made a celebratory day trip to eat at this Beverly Hills location. The rib eye, filet mignon, mac and cheese, crème brûlée corn, fried shrimp and sauté shrimp was predictable bliss. I was sad I forgot to order the black peppercorn sauce!!! Their black truffle peppercorn sauce is a must when dining at Steak 48. The service here felt less personable but nothing was bad. The two gentlemen who opened our doors were super nice! I wish more of their positivity and good vibes could radiate inside as well.

5 star food and service. Our server Douglas was awesome, he was very helpful, and had a great sense of humor. The house bread they start you off with is super good, very buttery but tasty, and will definitely fill you up so I recommend only eating one The 48 Caesar with the poached egg was great, with the perfect amount of dressing. They brought it out pre-split into two plates, which was super nice - they did this for the steak too. The filet mignon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. For sides we got the crispy fries, sautéed mushrooms, and shells and cheese. All were fantastic although we definitely could've ordered one less side. We were here for my husband's birthday and they give you any dessert on the house. Thought this was nice, especially since most places have a set dessert for birthdays/celebrations. We got the key lime pie, which is massive!!!, and was the perfect amount of lime-yness. There's a parking lot next door which is $15 max. Entrance is from S Bedford Dr. The restaurant also has valet. We had a Friday 7pm reservation and were seated right away. The restaurant was packed! When we left around 9, there were A LOT of people waiting. Definitely make a reservation.

Place is AMAZING!!! The 8oz Wagyu and the Tomahawk are delicious and cooked to perfection. Corn crème brûlée, shells & cheese are a must!! The perfect free bread is delicious too. Service is 5 stars!! Water comes so fast and they refill drinks fast too. Very friendly. DRESS CODE ENFORCED!!!! There is a parking lot or a valet too. Very swanky indoors, romantic for a date! Or just a fancier dinner with friends!

We have just been to Ocean 48 a couple of weeks before to celebrate our anniversary and now trying Steak 48. But this time to celebrate a birthday. We loved Ocean 48 and we loved Steak 48 too! We enjoyed almost everything that we ordered, except for the Au Gratin Potatoes. It was still good but perhaps something we won't be ordering next time . We really enjoyed the Bone-In Ribeye 22oz which was cooked to perfection! The Pacifc Yellowtail Hamachi was so good as well! The Creamy Mac & Cheese was surprisingly good! We also enjoyed the Roasted Brussels Sprouts. Also one of our faves, the free bread that comes in the mini cast iron. Flaky/crispy outside but soft and buttery inside! They also give a free cookie per person. The service is very good. And the ambience is nice and cozy. Large place but like Ocean 48 in Newport, they section them off so each area still feels cozy! They did give us a dessert for the birthday celebrant and lighted a bday candle. They helped us have a wonderful birthday celebration! Though no card for the celebrant which we saw they did for the other tables, and like what Ocean 48 did for our anniversary celebration. Still very good overall and can't really complain!

Had a phenomenal experience being my first time at Steak 48. Just went for a random date night during the week, and everything was fantastic. Ambience of the restaurant is obviously very upscale, but the vibe was more relaxed with the friendly staff and the upbeat and fun music. Cary was our server and he was the best. Extremely knowledgeable about the entire menu and he just made sure we were happy at all times. My partner has Celiac disease, so Cary was very knowledgeable about what items were gluten free, or could/couldn't be made gluten free. The food was amazing as well. Had the ribeye and my partner got the filet mignon, and we shared a salad and some side dishes as well. Everything was cooked to perfection. Don't even get me started on the dinner rolls. Almost finished the entire serving. Will definitely return!

Steak 48 is a high-end steakhouse in every way! The ambiance is classy, with ornate light fixtures and lively bar seating. Hosts greeted us enthusiastically and we didn't wait long until we were seated. I took my beautiful gf here for Valentine's Day, and it was an incredible time! Our server was so nice and attentive. We started with the crispy shrimp, superfood salad, and complimentary bread. All were so delicious, as we attempted to save some shrimp to eat with our steak. Our entree order: *Bone-in ribeye: Cooked to perfection. Perfect medium rare, seasoned perfectly. Added the truffle butter which further elevated the steak. Served on a hot plate. Incredible! *Corn crème brûlée: so delicious and unique. *Shells and cheese: Just the right amount of cheese, shells cooked perfect al dente. Valentine's Day was a success at Steak 48. 5-star restaurant, highly recommend!

Steaks! Yes, they do! Wet and dry aged, Tomahawk, filet. Etc etc etc. had the 22 oz wet aged Ribeye! Twas very good and done right. Depending on how hungry you are, 22oz + sides can be good for two. Sides was good and plenty. AMC and cheese, yes! Hamachi crudo, Yes! Service was great and attentive as it should. The ambiance was great and cozy. Lots of peeps here, especially on a weekend so make sure to reserve. This is the sister resto similar to Oceans 48 in Newport Beach so expectations are and was similar to this place. With Newport Beach edging this place out by a hair! Verdict - yes! Bring your fat wallet!

I decided to come here because the new Chase Sapphire Reserve card has a $150 credit for certain restaurants and this was one of the ones on the list--and even though I live about an hour away, it looked like the food would be delicious. We were certainly not disappointed as EVERYTHING we ordered was amazing. My ribeye steak was perfectly cooked medium rare. My mom's sea bass and my brother's salmon were also delectable. The appetizers, sides, and desserts were all amazing too. Zeff was our server; he and the entire staff were excellent. The place itself is trendy and lively. Overall, it was a great experience!

I had the pleasure of celebrating our 5th year anniversary at Steak 48. I was greeted by our wonderful host Stephenie who's had exceptional hospitality throughout the evening. Stephenie took the time to cater to all of our needs by explaining the menu in great detail and provided excellent customer service and made us feel welcomed. Stephenie made our visit pleasurable and needs recognition for her hospitality. The food was very delicious. We arrived at 8:30 through open table reservations. They provide valet service at the curb which is pleasant. It cost $16 for valet. We ordered the aged Rib-eye, lobster seashell mac with shrimp, cream corn, sweet potato mash, steak salad, deviled eggs with shrimp and for dessert a cheese cake that was out of this world. The food was prepared with much attention to care and presentation. I could not finish my food it was overwhelming but in a good way. I will also add the ambiance was stellar and beautiful! I highly recommend Steak 48 thanks Stephenie our host last night! I hope management sees this...

    What is the corkage fee?

$100 and it can't be on the menu even if it is. Different year. You need to check with management first the year range.

    Absolutely!

    Is there a dress code?

Yes we do have a dress code. It is elegant casual. We just ask for no athletic wear.

    Cost to valet park?

    Sorry, I don't remember

Is "bar seating" only at the physical bar or is it high-top tables in a certain area? That's the only available rez and I'm wondering if it's fine to sit there

We have quite a few high-top tables as well.

Does the bar have any tvs to watch the baseball games tonight?

Yes they one. We sat outside but in the gallery shows a tv at the bar

Is there a happy hour during the week?!?

We do not have a happy hour.

Want to know are sides sharable for a party of 4?

    Yes, very shareable.

Started the night with cocktails, and I can say, the Ambrosia is delicious. It has a tequila base with coconut cream and passion fruit. Just very good. The Light My Fire was a nice show as it cooked our and is kit on fire, but the first didn't match that is the Ambrosia. So, with DineLA, we were given bread and butter at the table. The bread was actually more they basic and had a nice flavor to it. For our appetizer, I ordered the steak tartar. On the menu, it had a lot going on with Dijon mustard, chili sauce, shallots, cognac, etc, but I can't say so if there ingredients were noticable in the flavor profile or on the pallet. But paying that on the potato crisps was still a decent bite. The salmon tartar was decent as well but didn't necessarily stand out. The real winner was the meat sushi with avocado cream and parmesan. Totally unexpected and very good! In terms of entrees, we tried a little of everything. I had the wagyu NY steak, cooked medium rare. It was cooked very well on the inside, could have had a better crust on the outside. And they give you your own side of kosher salt so you can "salt bae" it yourself. You also had a choice of side between mashed potatoes and mushrooms. I got the mushrooms and I'm very glad I did. They were very good with 2-3 tired of mushrooms in the medley. The prime NY steak was ok, it didn't really stand out, and the wagyu burger was also decent but, in Los Angeles, with so many great burgers, you really need to step your game up it you want to be noticed, and this burger did not accomplish that. With dessert, there were four options. I choose the San Sebastian Cheesecake, and, for our table, no one really loved it. It is definitely not your standard cheesecake, much less sweet and without that nice graham cracker crust you come to know and love. There was a chocolate sauce on half of it which gave it a little something extra, but it really was not a hit for our table. The pistachio baklava came with a show as the assembled it, but the energy of the show to assemble the baklava was better then the baklava itself. Overall, a nice experience, staff was nice and attentive to our take and our needs, but the food just didn't hit as we all hoped it would.

I really gotta respect their dedication to red meat and the holy art of cooking a damn good steak. This place is essentially what I'm looking for in a restaurant. Basically hits on all cylinders and checks off all the critical boxes. I don't want to sound all dramatic and such, but I'm dying to go back and try all the other items I didn't have, as well as check out the bar experience. I spoke to some locals outside before they opened, and they weren't just lovely -- they also painted a pretty picture of what the overall vibe is here. It's clear a lot of people in the Beverly Hills and Hollywood Hills area love coming here very frequently. Our server, who I assumed is named Nolan because that's what's shown on the receipt, was very accommodating, kind, and easy to talk to. I think he did a fantastic job dealing with my difficult, picky gf. Haha. I can't say anything was less than stellar. The croquettes in that celery purée stuff were phenomenal. Garlic bread was seasoned and baked to perfection. The bone broth sipper was nourishing af. French fries were perhaps the best I've had in years. Broccolini was fresh, high quality, and complimented the steak very well. I'm bummed we only got to try just the ribeye when it came to the cuts, but my gf did not want to order anything under medium or medium rare that night, so that was a bummer. It's her loss! The panna cotta was the creamiest sweet treat in all of LaLa Land. This is a great place, and it's a top-tier steakhouse. SoCal sometimes lacks places of this caliber that NY, Chicago, and SF / Napa have, but this place is a very close contender to some of the top cream-of-the-crop, steak-centered restaurants in the country. Chef's kiss, Señoritos and Señoritas.

Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Unfortunately, our initial table was extremely close to a very loud neighboring party, making conversation difficult. To the restaurant's credit, the staff accommodated our request to move, and the new table significantly improved the experience. The food was excellent. We ordered the Dinner for Two, and every component was well executed and enjoyable. The quality of the beef was evident, and it was clear why MATŪ has built such a strong reputation. The cocktails were also well made. Where the experience began to unravel was the service. Wine service took roughly 20 minutes, dessert was noticeably delayed, and our server seemed to disappear for extended periods throughout the evening. The most frustrating part came at the end of the meal when it took more than 25 minutes to receive the check. When it finally arrived, it was delivered by a manager in a manner that felt dismissive rather than hospitable. To make matters worse, an automatic gratuity had already been added to the bill. While I understand the practice in some situations, it felt particularly disappointing given the level of service we received throughout the evening. MATŪ serves outstanding food, and that is what earns this review more than a few stars. However, hospitality is about more than what comes out of the kitchen. For a restaurant operating at this price point, the service should match the quality of the food. Unfortunately, on this visit, it did not. I left impressed by the meal but disappointed by the overall dining experience, and I'm not sure I would return.

What was frustrating is that he never mentioned happy hour had ended while we were waiting for him to come back. We were then charged $10 for the original drink we never received, and the replacement drink was charged at full price because happy hour had expired. That didn't feel fair since the delay was entirely on the server's end. To make matters worse, a 20% service charge was already added to the bill, yet the service was some of the worst we've experienced. Between the long wait, poor communication, and incorrect charges, the experience didn't match the reputation or prices of this restaurant. I wouldn't recommend it based on the service alone. FYI during happy hour selected drinks are $10

Perched above the city with incredible views, it manages to feel both glamorous and comfortable. Whether you're celebrating something special or simply enjoying a night out, the setting alone makes the evening memorable. The service is polished and attentive, the cocktails are expertly crafted, and the food is everything you'd expect from Mastro's: beautifully prepared, indulgent, and consistently excellent. Add live music and a room full of energy, and you've got the kind of atmosphere that encourages you to stay longer than planned. There are plenty of restaurants with great views and plenty with great food. The Penthouse at Mastro's delivers both, which is why it remains one of my favorite spots for a classic Los Angeles night out. You feel like you are on vacation. This place might have been a hotspot a decade ago, but it clearly hasn't kept up. We came as a party of six and every single person left disappointed, which says a lot. The biggest issue was the food quality. We ordered a wide range of items, including sushi, steaks, sides, and dessert -- and not one dish impressed. Service however was great - 2 stars for that .  Both sushi dishes had to be sent back, which is already a bad start for a restaurant of this caliber. The steaks, which should be the highlight, were underwhelming and but not terrible. Sides didn't redeem the experience either, infact the lobster mac and cheese, in particular, was shockingly bad. It tasted like microwaved Kraft with a tiny, almost nonexistent piece of lobster. Our favorite item on the menu was the bread basket and bone marrow.  Even dessert fell flat, which is rare to mess up but somehow still happened. For a group of self-proclaimed food lovers, this was genuinely surprising -- and not in a good way. There are far better options at this price point. Steak 48 easily outshines Mastro's in both quality and execution, and even BOA along with BLVD deliver a more consistent and enjoyable experience. Overall, a VERY disappointing night and absolutely not worth the price point. You're better off literally in any steakhouse but this one.

The setting is lush, elegant, and wonderfully peaceful, with the terrace overlooking the gardens and pool area. We randomly ended up here after being in the hot sun shopping Beverly Hills. Such a nice relief. We started with the bread, which was simple but delicious, then had the strawberry gazpacho, a refreshing and unexpected summer dish that felt light, bright, and beautifully presented. The corn agnolotti was a standout, rich and delicate with that perfect balance of sweetness from the corn and savory depth in the sauce. The bolognese was comforting and satisfying, a classic done well, and the Caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and but not presented as a traditional Caesar. It is two romaine wedges. We ended with the chocolate mousse and it was a lot of food. Maybe better to share as the portions are generous. The food, atmosphere, and service made it feel like a true Beverly Hills escape. It is a lovely choice for a special lunch, a girls' day, or taking visitors somewhere that feels quintessentially Los Angeles.

Service was slow, they assumed we wanted everything at once, and some of the food was subpar and definitely not on point. Because we asked for our "breads" after 30 minutes just to get started, they though we suddenly wanted everything (our breads being scones and a cinnamon roll). We should have stated or they should have asked, would you like us to bring everything out at once or the small plates first. First miss. Eggs Benedict was bland, under seasoned, and english muffins like two plastic frisbees. Second miss. Slow service and attitude of server not the friendliest, third miss. Table service was slow/inattentive. We had to ask for silverware on more than one occasion. Service seemed somewhat more disorganized than usual (it's usually a little disorganized, not always great). I'm taking this, unfortunately, off my go to/recommended list as it's become inconsistent and no longer worth taking chances on for the service and food.

We loved it all; i especially loved the happy hour ($7) hand roll selection and the rock & pop roll was nice, especially with the spicy ponzu! the bartender is delivering beautiful happy hour cocktails and the Sake selection is on point! they offered a dry sake as a treat -- so thoughtful and honestly a great sake can't wait to get it next time. the world cup game was playing and the ambiance inside and out was beautiful, we cannot wait to become regulars

Elegant and comfortable, the bar-centric 2nd floor is staffed with gracious servers who remain laser-focused on every customer, making sure each person feels welcomed and well-tended. I started with a Bombay Sapphire martini, which was quite properly prepared, served frosty cold with blue cheese olives and a side shaker of at least another whole drink on deck. My wife ordered the Dream Berry, a sweet and refreshing vodka cocktail that was sort of part Cosmo, part Lemon Drop. And as we relaxed, we were seduced by the aroma of the food being served around us, and we just couldn't stop ourselves. My wife ordered the Sautéed Shrimp, which came in a rich, creamy tomato & garlic "bisque" of sorts, that was just one of the tastiest things I've had in a long time. And with plenty of sauce for dipping with their sturdy, house-baked bread. For my own part, I ordered the Roasted Bone Marrow, which was quite nicely seasoned, cooked to an enjoyable consistency (often its underdone), and with just the right topping of herbs to cut through the richness. Also, perfectly paired with the toasted house breads. Combined with the live piano music and friendly service, this was a surprise luxurious happy hour on a regular old Friday, and it was a great way to kick off the weekend.
