Cute brunch spot at Beverly Hills ! Higher price point due to location but we were about to get the DinaLa lunch special for $45 each person ( 3 courses ). It's a nice meet up for the girls and then you can go shop around after ! Oh and free desert for birthday :)

Came here on a holiday and the place was packed which says a lot since this is a very big space. There's a lovely outdoor terrace, two bar areas, and a more formal dining room. We got the blackberry club cocktail. It has zero proof gin, muddle blackberries, lime, and simple syrup. It is alcohol free, delicious, and absolutely gorgeous. All their cocktails look impressive actually. For our meal we got the Teriyaki salmon which is our go-to. It has shiitake sticky rice and a soy butter sauce. It's always delicious! We also got the chilean sea bass which comes on a potato puree with a truffle vinaigrette, pearl onions and broccolini. It was good. Of the two, the salmon is still my favorite. For dessert we got the warm butter cake. It comes with ice cream. It's definitely big enough to share. It melts in your mouth. Highly suggest. Valet parking or parking on the street. Also of note: private party rooms available and prix fix lunch menu

Had an intimate birthday dinner here with a friend for myself.. The ambiance is very business casual, not to be confused with trendy. Our steak was sub par, our sushi roll was falling apart, our coffee was served cold. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks. I asked to have my coffee remade and after a nearly $400+ bill the server disappeared. Truly unfortunate! I love Ocean Prime and their other locations are amazing! However, this particular location was horrible. I was pretty embarrassed for suggesting Ocean Prime when I've had such a great experience at other locations. It's a hard pass! There are MUCH better high end steakhouses and eateries in the area to give your money to. Cheers to consistency and quality Yelpers! xx

I had a small post wedding dinner here and the room they put us all in was lovely. The ambiance was nice. Our server was super attentive and helped us in every which way we needed. The food was not as memorable as the service, but I still had a nice time here. Thank you :)

Ambience is absolutely gorgeous, the outdoor patio area is open and luxurious and a great mix of sunshine and lounging. Went today to check out the bar/patio area, and I love the vibes. Same upscale experience with staff left and right taking plates, giving new utensils, refilling water, checking on you, etc, but with the rejuvenating sun. As usual, the NY strip and house salad and bread is to die for. Tried the chocolate peanut butter pie and it is incredible. I wouldn't really describe it as a pie, more of a soft peanut butter filling with a dark chocolate soft ganache on outside. Filling is not a cream, but not cake-y, sort of in between. With an oreo-like crust. Not too sweet and balanced.

We came for a birthday dinner not knowing they had some Dine LA specials for $65 (the only steak option was a filet for $80). The ribeye steak was pretty decent - a little bit undercooked for a medium rare, but still overall pretty decent. The jalapeño gratin was good. The deviled eggs were delicious, although there isn't enough caviar to taste it (expected given the price). The calamari was very sweet. The house salad was plain. The Gouda tots were undercooked. The truffle Mac and cheese had an excellent flavor but the sauce was a bit gritty, not smooth. The warm butter cake was insanely dry and flavorless. Definitely pass on that. The carrot cake was better, but still dense and dry. I'll preface the rest of this review by saying I'm not really one to send food back or really even say anything about the food if it's palatable. I'll typically just eat the food and not come back. The sea bass on the Dine LA menu was absolutely horrendous and underseasoned. It genuinely didn't even taste like it was salted. I ended up asking for a bearnaise sauce to make it edible. It still wasn't great. We felt our server give us some attitude at the beginning of the meal, but it did get better later on. She gave us a daily special, which included wagyu, and I asked her if it was American wagyu, Australian wagyu, or Japanese wagyu, and she didn't know... strange to not tell your servers at a steakhouse which one it is. Overall, it wasn't all bad, but we spent $620 at the restaurant. It isn't worth coming back.

Ocean Prime is one of those places that never misses. I've been coming here for years and it's still one of my go-to's for a special night out. They also recently opened a Las Vegas location on the Strip..I've been to both, and honestly... fantastic every single time. Vibe/Service: Always on point. The service is consistently great, the location is perfect, and the whole place has a polished but fun energy. There's indoor + outdoor seating, and it's a great spot whether you're celebrating, on a date, or bringing friends from out of town. Parking: You can do street parking if you get lucky, but valet is the easiest. Private Dining: We've used their private dining before too and it was an amazing experience..super smooth and elevated, perfect for a group. Drinks: Full bar and their cocktails are incredible. Also..their espresso martini is one of the best I've had. Perfectly balanced and not too sweet. As you can probably tell from my photos... I've tried a LOT of the menu Here are some favorites: Sushi / Raw Bar: Ocean Roll + Spicy Tuna Roll Nigiri (honestly all of it) Hamachi crudo..melt-in-your-mouth good Mains / Sides: Goat cheese ravioli (so flavorful and creamy) Surf & turf Au gratin potatoes And truly... all their steak options are amazing Dessert (do not skip): Butter cake..a MUST. Soooo good. Both chocolate cakes are delicious (the flourless one is richer/denser) Carrot cake and crème brûlée are also fantastic Overall: if you're looking for a place with top-tier service, unreal food, great drinks, and a classy vibe, Ocean Prime is it. Worth it every time.

Celebrated our anniversary at Ocean Prime & it was definitely one for the books! The service is so attentive, and I really liked how lively it can get inside the dining area. It provides both an elevated fine dining experience & relaxing vibe. We started with drinks - espresso martini (black) and pineapple picante. Never knew that you could order a black espresso martini lol! I'm a changed woman for life now. It was sweet, and not bitter for me at all. The pineapple picante definitely packed a bit of spice, was also very yummy. For food, we had the parmesan truffle fries, bread basket, dynamite roll, sea scallops and NY strip. The dynamite roll was a nice contrast from the rest of the meal, really great quality shrimp. The fries were stupidly good, could not stop munching on them. We ordered the bread a little later into the service, which I wish we would have done sooner so that it could accompany most of the meal. It did take a while for it to come out. The entrees were my favorite. I always try to order a plate that I cannot cook myself, and this one knocked it out of the park. The scallops were all perfectly seared, and the little salad on top made each bite so well balanced. The steak is crusted I believe in a sort of peppercorn rub, and the inside was cooked to a perfect medium rare. I'd love to return someday soon, its hard to find a restaurant where absolutely everything ordered is tasty - and this one delivered exactly that. Thank you to the staff for making our anniversary dinner special. It was truly an amazing experience.

The restaurant delivers an experience that builds from the moment you walk in. The hostess at the entrance sets the tone, and the staff immediately makes you feel welcome, genuinely attentive. The seafood selection is outstanding. The Chilean sea bass is exceptional, perfectly prepared. Every dish we tried was thoughtfully executed, and the butter cake, well it was outstanding, the perfect finish to the meal. From start to finish, the service is top tier, and the energy of the room feels celebratory, elevated by a DJ spinning great jams that added to the vibe without overpowering the experience. A great night that continues to build throughout the evening and a perfect way to ring in the New Year.

I've really enjoyed Ocean Prime every time I've been! I am a big fan of steakhouses and in LA, the best are in Beverly Hills. Ocean Prime is no exception. The restaurant has a great ambience: wooden decor, mood lighting, and a cool entryway with a winding pathway into the restaurant. The waiters are very attentive and super friendly. They don't make you feel rushed and they seem knowledgeable about the menu items. I got their 8 oz filet - classic. The meat tasted high quality and I appreciated that the steak came out nice and hot. I've also tried their Teriyaki Salmon Entree with Shiitake sticky rice and a soy butter sauce. That soy butter sauce is truly amazing; it's the perfect combo of salty, sweet, and umami flavors. The salmon itself is perfectly cooked on the inside and crispy seared on the outside. The shiitake mushrooms also give it a nice depth of flavor. I feel they should also be celebrated for their desserts. Their chocolate peanut butter cake is just so decadent, with a thick layer of peanut butter mouse, coated in a dark chocolate ganache. But it was their 10-Layer carrot cake that really impressed me. The cake is so moist, not too sweet, and layered with the creamiest cream cheese icing. As if this wasn't enough already, it gets topped with a sweet, zingy pineapple sauce that really complements the cake well. I very much enjoy coming here and would highly recommend it for a celebratory dinner like a birthday or anniversary.

Amazing experience! My friend wanted to meet here for dinner. I didn't know what to expect. Wow! What a gem! This place oozes class and quality! Service was outstanding. Our server was super friendly and efficient. Loved her. The supporting wait staff worked hard! Food was all around great quality! Steak tartare for appetizer. Bone in rib eye for my main meal. Creme Brûlée extra burned top for dessert. Caymus Cab for drinks. I'm a fan!

    Filet mignon with lobster tail
    Lee S.

This is a beautiful restaurant with an amazing atmosphere offering an array of seafood dishes. I ordered the Chilean Seabass with Brussel sprouts and the filet mignon with a lobster tail. The seabass was cooked and seasoned perfectly and had great flavor. The portion size was more than generous and was priced accordingly. The interior of the fillet was cooked as ordered, however, the outside was slightly over charred but it did have flavor. I did find the lobster tail a bit salty, which, did impact its overall flavor. The staff was great and appeared to work in unison as one team throughout the evening. My server was personable and very attentive during my dining experience, which was very much appreciated. The restaurant is large and has rooms for groups wanting a bit of privacy. Underground secured (pay) parking is available and is within walking distance of the restaurant but they don't validate.

8oz filet, butterflied. I asked for medium well, but it was SUPER well done

Always a vibe here. This was my first time coming for lunch. I want to highlight the service we received from a super kind and attentive server, Brady. He took such great care of us and I'm super grateful. Thank you, Brady! The Brussels sprouts were delicious, wedge salad perfect for sharing and my husband loved his cheeseburger. My 8 oz filet left much to be desired. I'd probably order the sea bass next time.

I would describe Ocean Prime's attire as Business Casual. Just dress nicely.

The caviar omakase is the must order thing here. Everything is very small bites, but if you are mostly there for drinks then à la carte is a good option. The omakase was fantastic - nice sized portions of caviar, paired with thoughtful items like a mini lobster roll, a salmon burger, and even ice cream. The drinks are also delightful - you can taste the notes of every ingredient and nothing was too overpowering or unbalanced. But the service is by far the main reason we'll be back. The staff are incredibly welcoming and friendly, on top of being knowledgeable and presenting the menu in a well practiced way. They made this birthday dinner so special and went above and beyond. We ended up at the Maybourne Bar in the Maybourne hotel, a solid B+ lobby bar that I'd visit again under similar circumstances. The space was attractive but the vibe was strange, if not uncomfortable. Just weirdly bright lighting and a different crowd from the usual L.A. bar scene (hotel, Beverly Hills). It was pretty quiet at 10:00 on a Saturday night, and we were able to grab seats at the bar. Service was fast and polite. We ordered a Midas Touch and a Big in Japan, both decent cocktails that cost a full $30 apiece. The Midas Touch was a colorful spicy margarita with El Tesoro Maybourne Edition Reposado, Empirical Ayuuk, Grand Marnier Louis Alexandre, saffron, lemon, and honey. Big in Japan was a Gold Rush variation with Hibiki Harmony, sudachi honey, lemon, sansho pepper, and yuzu bitters. There are better, more interesting cocktail bars all over L.A., but I'd recommend the Maybourne Bar if you're staying at the hotel or otherwise looking for an upscale bar in downtown Beverly Hills. You can get food, too, though most of it seems to involve caviar.

We came to Matū for the Dinner for Two, and everything we were served was impeccable. The seasoning was spot on, the salt level was perfect, and every cut of meat was cooked beautifully. I'm a big fan of my steak on the rarer side, and Matū absolutely delivered. The braised beef cheek was probably the highlight of the night for me. It was unbelievably tender, rich, and one of the most memorable bites of the meal. After finishing the Dinner for Two, which really showcased the quality of the meat, we decided to split a cheesesteak since "that's what they're known for." When it arrived, it looked incredible. Unfortunately, that's where the excitement ended for me. The meat tasted oddly oily. I'm not sure if it was the cut, the preparation, or even the cheese, but it came across as heavy and greasy compared to the beautifully simple, clean flavors of the steak dinner. It was also underseasoned, and I found myself tasting the sesame seeds on the bread more than the filling itself. The chips were fresh and crunchy at first, but they lost their texture surprisingly quickly, so eat those immediately. Overall, I absolutely loved the steaks, sides, and cocktails, and I'll happily be back for those. But as for the cheesesteak? Once was more than enough.

Matu is a dream for meat lovers, with a menu centred entirely around Australian wagyu. Nothing…read moreshowcases that commitment better than the Matu dinner ($87 per person; minimum 2 persons), a multi-course meal that highlights different cuts of the cow in every single dish. Things begin with a 24-hour bone broth shooter, looking like a glass of gravy but tasting like concentrated umami. Rich, warm, and deeply comforting, it's remarkable how delicious it is despite containing only broth. The steak tartare follows with freshly chopped beef, egg yolk, and what the menu describes as a "Japanese accent," possibly togarashi. Whatever the seasoning blend is, it works beautifully. The tartare is incredibly flavourful despite its minimalist presentation. Thin, lightly toasted crostini accompany it without overpowering the beef, though I did ask for extra slices just to finish every bite. The eight-hour braised beef cheek was one of my favourite courses. So tender and moist that you could practically eat it with a spoon, the richness is balanced by a silky celeriac purée that ties everything together beautifully. It's the kind of dish that immediately makes you want another serving. Even their '47' salad leans heavily into the restaurant's beef-first philosophy, featuring more steak than greens. The 3-ounce centre-cut filet was impressively tender for such a lean cut, and although it arrived rarer than I'd typically order, it worked perfectly. At Matu, diners aren't asked how they'd like their steak cooked. The kitchen prepares it to the chef's specifications, trusting the quality of the beef and their technique. As for the romaine leaves underneath, they're coated in a signature dressing that tastes remarkably similar to Caesar, despite being made without dairy or eggs, then finished with a generous showering of Parmigiano. After all that beef, you'd think sharing a 12-ounce ribeye would feel excessive. Somehow, it didn't. The steak is prepared simply, allowing the quality of the wagyu to speak for itself, with crispy grilled broccolini providing a garlicky contrast alongside it. A small dish of salt is presented at the beginning of the meal, though Matu intentionally keeps the seasoning restrained. Personally, I appreciated the lighter touch and never felt the need to add more. Dessert arrives in the form of Scott's flourless chocolate cake ($12), dense and rich without being overly sweet beyond a dusting of powdered sugar. After an entire menu devoted to beef, I almost found myself jokingly wondering whether wagyu somehow made its way into dessert too.
