First time trying Thai food in Beverly Hills. Loved it. Great vibes and delicious food. Love the cocktails. Fantastic service. The fried pork was amazing.

We grabbed a weekend dinner reservation during our trip here. We were greeted and brought to our seat right away. The waiter for our table was friendly and helpful with his tips for drinks much appreciated. After we put in our order, it was quite a wait for the food to come out though when they did, they all came out relatively close together. We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, and curry dishes. The curry was my favorite and everything was overall was flavorful - if anything a touch salty/sweet depending on the dish. My favorite of the three was the curry. Cute restaurant in Beverly Hills. The table we were seated at had a slightly uncomfortable couch but all in all, recommended if you like thai food.

I love the quality of food but portion is small. I like the chicken wing the most - it's a double battered fried chicken with fish sauce. So crispy and delicious The tom yum fried rice was super special too. It was using purple fried rice and it adds a special creamy texture to the rice Sea bass green curry was so delicious too. Sea bass was cooked perfectly and curry was super flavorful Papaya salad and pad see ew were pretty standard. We got it because portion was small and we weren't full. Dessert was good as always.

We dined as a group of 5 and ordered many signature dishes on the menu to explore the diversity. Overall, the entrees such as crab fried rice are solid with rich flavors. But there are a few items, on that particular day, were just below the acceptable level. For examples, chicharron has a distinctive off-flavor associated with pork when the skins are not cleaned properly. We couldn't even finish after one bite. The sea bass in tom yum soup was clearly not fresh, emitting a noticeable off-flavor. Chicken wings are flavorful but the skins are fried too hard to bite easily. The server was kind enough to take the chicharron off the menu but it also feels like she didn't care to explain at all.

Was in the area and wanted a quick takeout dinner so made a pickup order through Seamless from La Ong. Got the Pad See Ew noodles dish with Shrimp. It was slightly on the salty side but very flavorful. Easy pickup, food was ready when promised and friendly staff.

This place opened a few years ago next to my office and my coworkers & I frequently order take out from here. Its moniker is derived after the chef's grandma and the dishes are based on her recipes. Everything is prepared with ingredients that are imported from Thailand or locally sourced. In the past I've had the Mee Krob, Brussels Sprouts, & Papaya Salad, which were all tasty. A recent order we shared consisted of Tom Yum Rice and Stir Fried Broccoli. With an infusion of Thai basil, Kaffir leaves, chili, & lime, the Tom Yum Rice was an interesting dish. It also contained scallops, shrimp, & crab, which I enjoyed. The stir-fried broccoli was also good. La Ong will continue to be a staple on our lunch order list.

i enjoyed the food here, but there were a couple hiccups during my meal... first, the food was delicious. the fresh green rolls were delicious, and i especially enjoyed the peanut sauce which had a nice kick to it. i ordered the garlic noodles with tofu, and the noodles were cooked well with a nice bite, the garlic flavor wasn't overwhelming, overall a balanced dish. and we finished with the mango sticky rice with coconut milk, which was pretty standard. however, the staff asked twice about allergies and i mentioned i am vegetarian. despite this, i was served garlic noodles with chicken :/ they replaced the dish without any issue, but i would be worried if someone really did have an allergy that this could be overlooked.

This is our go to spot for Thai food in Beverly Hills! Every time we arrive the host and hostess are always friendly and quick to seat us wherever we like. There's both seating in the restaurant or on the patio. You will be close to other people if you do sit on the patio, so if you are planning to have a private conversation it won't be TOO private. The place is very clean and has a nice little set up to it. There's even a little bar seating area you can sit at and order a thai ice tea while waiting for your order. They are pretty quick to take your order and the food comes out in a decent amount of time. I usually order the Sea Bass Southern Thai Curry Plate if I'm not that hungry or the Beef with Ginger Rice Plate with an iced black lychee tea or Thai ice tea depending on my mood. I can't even explain how good everything here is. You honestly can't go wrong with whatever you order and you will be satisfied. Trust ya boy! Anyway, it can get a little packed around lunch time but you shouldn't have any issues getting a seat. If you're in the area and in the mood for Thai, hit this place up. Oh, they separate checks too! I feel like that's something I should start mentioning in my reviews that would be helpful. OOOOO 5 out of 5 Afros

The spring rolls and fried chicken here is phenomenal!!!! I cannot recommend it enough and for my entree I got the khao soi which was also very delicious. My one complaint is that parking can get difficult in the area, though there are lots nearby.

I would say this restaurant is a fancy version of Thai food because the plating is very beautiful I love the organic green spring rolls and the sauce is very delicious It is a very good choice to have it in summer The service is good there and servers are nice and hospitable Parking is easy on the street or parking structures cross streets

Came here with reservations and was seated with little to no wait. The customer service here was great, the workers were nice and attentive. The food on the other hand was honestly nothing special. The papaya salad was lacking in zest and spice, it just tasted like peanuts and it was bland. The holy basil noodles was nothing we expected, the noodles were fried to the point where we thought they were chips. If you're looking for a noodle dish this is not it. The tom kha was good but the portion was tiny for its cost. I've definitely had better Thai food at a cheaper place, however I came because I wanted to treat my friend to a more upscale thai restaurant. The major flaw of this place was the insufferable scent of grease inside. I'm not sure if the vents weren't working or what was up, but the fumes of oil and grease were so strong. Me and my friend left with our hair and clothes smelling so greasy and fried. We got back to our friend's apartment and my other friend could instantly smell the greasiness when we walked by, it was suffocating.

Craving Thai food while wasting all your money away shopping in Beverly Hills? This is the spot for you! La Ong brings a refreshing twist to Thai cuisine, serving many of the classics while also having some innovative dishes, all presented with an elevated level of dining experience. The dishes are both delicious and beautiful to look at. The presentation is top notch and the authentic (and sometimes innovative) flavors are present with every bite. It's clear they really thought about each dish and put care into it. The service was top notch. They were incredibly attentive, friendly, and helped us pick out the best dishes for us given what we were looking for at the time. The ambience is top notch. It definitely meets the expectations given the location. The contemporary interior is upscale without feeling too pretentious (a trap many places fall into). Thai food, even when elevated, has to remain approachable and true to its roots and they reach that balance well. Overall, if you are craving Thai food in Beverly Hills of all places (like us), you'll be pleasantly surprised to find that there is indeed a restaurant for you.

    Crazy wagyu
    Shareef V.

Thai cravings? Solved. La Ong on Beverly Hills nails the balance between cozy and elevated. We tried the Crazy Wagyu, their luxe spin on grapow, and the Khao Soi, a rich, bold curry that stole the show. Both dishes were a feast for the eyes and the palate--presentation on point, flavors even better. This spot has that "family-run but make it fancy" vibe. Locals fill the tables, takeout bags are flying, and you just know you're in the right place. Sure, the prices are Beverly Hills-level, but you're getting high-quality, unique Thai dishes that are worth the splurge. Looking for a dinner spot when casual isn't cutting it, but you're not feeling super fancy? La Ong's your move. Elevated Thai perfection. Service was really awesome.

For years, it has been my absolute favorite restaurant in New York, so when it arrived in Beverly Hills, I was equal parts excited and nervous. Somehow, it lives up to the original. The service is polished, attentive, and effortlessly elegant without ever feeling pretentious. There are plenty of trendy restaurants in Los Angeles, but Marea is something rarer: a restaurant that is genuinely excellent. The kind of place you find yourself thinking about days later and immediately planning your next visit. So please, if you go, be respectful. Order the pasta. Appreciate the seafood. Tip well. And try not to tell too many people...I'd like to keep getting a reservation. ;)

As for the service, it's 3/5 as they were decent enough, but not so attentive even though our drinks and water were empty. It's definitely good for date or business meal though as it has a nice ambiance. I'd give 4/5 for that. Would I come back? Sure, but I don't have to be a repeater of this restaurant to be honest as there are many other restaurants with similar quality (if not better) of food for more reasonable price.

The first bite gives you that textbook contrast chefs chase: a thin, savory Maillard snap, then cool, silky flesh that still tastes of the sea rather than smoke, which tells me it was hit hard over heat to render the skin and pulled off at the precise moment before the proteins tightened. Grilled lemon halves, their edges caramelized, are doing real work here--squeezes of that charred citrus cut through the fish's natural oiliness--while the thin ribbons of pickled red onion and peppery microgreens supply the bright, acidic punctuation that keeps the palate moving. Slices of avocado act as a soft, creamy foil, lengthening the finish without smothering the fish, and the halved cherry‑tomato salad looks lightly dressed so you get clean sweetness and a crisp counterpoint rather than a soggy, overdressed side. From a technical standpoint I appreciate the fundamentals: even scoring or oiling of the skin to prevent sticking, careful timing so the flakes separate cleanly, and a sparing hand with seasoning so the brine of the fish isn't lost under salt or heavy sauces. Many places feel compelled to gild seafood with every trendy condiment; here, the restraint is refreshing and, frankly, rarer than it should be. Service matched the cooking: friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to steer us through the menu with solid recommendations, which matters when a kitchen is doing delicious things well. The restaurant itself is calm and clean, a peaceful setting with a bar that lets the food speak, and last time I was there they were in the process of securing a beer and wine license--good news, because this kind of balanced, grill‑forward cooking benefits from a thoughtful pour. In short, this meal stands out because it trusts the ingredient: confident grilling, smart acid, and honest accompaniments that clarify rather than compete, leaving you satisfied and already thinking about the next visit. As for the house-made salsa: stainless ramekins on a white plate, each with its own tiny spoon - bright yellow emulsion, lacquered dark reduction, smoky-red chile purée, and a chunky herb relish. The emulsion is silky and tangy, perfect for cutting fat; the dark sauce is sticky, umami-forward and built to cling; the red one carries smoke on oil and is medium-hot; the relish snaps with fresh acid and crunch. Important heads-up: one of these is a ghost-pepper style salsa - extremely spicy, slow-building and long-lingering, so use it as a finish, not a dunk. Execution is tidy: no broken emulsion, measured viscosities, portioned so flavors don't bleed - practical, disciplined work. In an era of one-trick "house sauce" laziness, this quartet gives you tools, not excuses, and it elevates whatever's on the grill without stealing the show. I'll definitely be back here!
