Delicious homey little spot tucked away in Beverly Hills. Love the atmosphere and the music they were playing and the staff was super kind and welcoming! The pad thai was wildly good! Can't wait to come back for more. It is one of my favorite pad thai's i've had, super flavorful and tangy.

My office is close to this bistro and we have been here many times for lunch. They have great lunch specials, their service is fast and their staff are friendly. However, for phone orders they can take long. The restaurant itself feels very authentic and cozy.

Another celebration for our pallets and tummies!! Service was exceptionally special. It's always a pleasure to come here given the drive, traffic and other elements screaming otherwise but coming here is always worth it. The ambience and jazzy music filled us with warmth and wonder.

The food was so so good. I would come back for the duck curry, spicy drunken noodles, and prick king. The restaurant is a bit small and a little cramped. There's a lot of decorations. The workers kept checking in on us the service was great!

Such a cute restaurant with pretty decor. The staff were so nice and friendly. The food was wonderful too. Street parking is also easy. We got the crispy chicken green curry which was so yummy. The medium spice has a nice kick to it and the chicken was moist and soft. We also got the chicken panang curry and got it spicy. It was nice and creamy, plus a little bit of sweetness and a good spicy flavour. The mango sticky rice portion was a little smaller than expected but I really liked that the sticky rice wasn't overly sweet and the mango was refreshing. Overall, the flavours for me are a little milder than what I would find in Thai town. But I liked this restaurant because the spices aren't too intense and still light yet full of flavours. Plus, the ambiance is romantic and chill. I would definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

This is the perfect triangle of excellent food, service, and ambiance. You feel like you're somewhere else packed into this space with international music playing and cool Thai designs and neon lights. I had a pineapple duck curry and chicken skewers. The wife had the original pad Thai which looked phenomenal as well. The service was so kind and met our every desire. This is the best Thai in LA hands down. Another good one is in Redondo beach but nothing compares to this. Excellence is operative word here. Anything else Thai is uncivilized. Civilize Thai Bistro is also one of the very best places I've ever been and not just for Thai. Thanks and thank you to Gina and Noy.

My wife and were in the area. We live in SCV. We love Thai Food and always love hitting up a new one. Although rarely we ever say anything bad about a place but what we do is tag a place for a revisit and Civilize is 100% that place. The service was great and friendly. The nice gal running the joint felt like mom checking on us to make sure we are happy. We had the wings, curry, fried rice, Pad Thai and Mango Sticky Rice for dessert. We wanted a few more items but that's next time for certain ! Thank you !

Our first time here. Food was really good and service was excellent. Will definitely come back when were in the area.

I've seen this place by walking past numerous of time but never been in. Until seeing loads of post on social media that actually gave me the pushed. We happened to be in the area for a couple of hours and with lunch approaching, might as well give it a shot. They also had a good lunch menu which was also a plus for the visit. There's street metered parking along little Santa Monica. I'm not sure if there's a parking lot that's affiliated with the restaurant. It's not that big with 2 tables with umbrellas outside. Inside, there's a good amount of tables but still not overly big. We opted for outside as it was quite nice. Menu wise, we just went with the lunch specials. 14.99 for the lunch option of whatever choices you like. A few curries dish, noddle dish, orange chicken and a few other items. Each comes with a side salad, rice (noddle dishes doesn't come with rice) and an egg roll. Potion wise was quite nice. Started off with the salad which the sauce was really tasty. Basic mixed green with like a Thai dressing. We had the chicken panang which was really good. The curry was very flavorful and with the right spicy count. And also the spicy drunken noodle with beef. Most place will include a chicken/ beef to the noodles. Here, chicken is included in the price but beef was 1.00 extra. Still pretty good and the right amount of spicy. You could tastes it. And the egg roll with the sweet dipping sauce to finish off the meal. The service was nice and the food was really good. Lunch menu wise. I'm sure if lunch was good, everything on the menu would be as well. I always love a noodle soup but I don't think they have any on the menu. Would I be back, that's a yes. We enjoyed our meal, the place was quite nice and people outside were great.

Crying Tiger
Dan A.

This restaurant totally surprised me! The staff was very polite, courteous, and attentive. The dining area was tight but arranged well. Outside sidewalk dining available. I happen to be working 3 doors down for the day and decided to give this place a try. I'm glad I did. I was told that they had only been open 8 months. But they're rocking it! I was surprised to see crying tiger on the menu and jumped on it. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare , as requested, served with fresh vegetables and the sauce was absolutely amazing. It may be one of the best crying tiger sauces I've ever had, and that includes Phuket! I was reminded of why I fell in love with crying tiger to begin with. This will be my go to Thai when in the area.

MANGO STICKY RICE

My Son was craving for Thai food and luckily we passed by this CIVILIZE THAI BISTRO . I searched it up right away on Yelp if they were good and so far their current rating is 4.8 stars in Yelp . We made a couple of rounds to find a parking 'coz mostly we saw side street parking and there's plenty of small eateries around as well, so we kinda had a hard time looking for a parking, but luckily we found one after just right in front of their restaurant. Theres a line when we came, the place is very small, probably 25 people for the indoor capacity and a few seating outdoors. Their Menu has a lot to choose from, but I ordered the following that I knew my Son will like, I ordered: *CRISPY TOFY DELIGHT *FRESH SUMMER ROLL (Shrimps) *PAD WOON SEN with CRISPY PORK BELLY *SNOW CRAB FRIED RICE *EGGPLANT & BASIL with CHICKEN *THAI BASIL SEAFOOD (KRA PAO) *DUCK PINEAPPLE CURRY *MANGO STICKY RICE We started with our Appetizer, the CRISPY TOFU, and the FRESH SUMMER ROLL. The CRISPY TOFU has a nice crisp to it, but without the sauce to dip it into it's too plain to eat, like no seasoning at all, I have had Crispy Tofu in other restaurants and it was very well seasoned. THE FRESH SUMMER ROLL was packed and tasty, I don't need the sauce that came with it 'coz it's already good as it is. SNOW CRAB FRIED RICE, this is very good and very flavorful, I recommend getting this! PAD WOON SEN with crispy pork belly, I think this one is the only one we didn't like much, the crispy pork belly on it was very tasty, but the noodles were bland. THAI BASIL with SEAFOOD (KRA PAO) oh this has big seafoods on it and the sauce on this one is so yummy. DUCK PINEAPPLE CURRY, I've eaten a lot of Curry, but this is my first time eating DUCK CURRY. This is actually pretty good, the duck is tender and the sauce was delicious, you're gonna need a lot of rice on this one 'coz the sauce itself is good already. EGGPLANT & BASIL with chicken, I stopped ordering this in Thai restaurants 'coz it's either it's too Oily or the eggplant is too soggy, but here the Eggplant is not overcooked, it's just done right and not soaked in Oil. For DESSERT we had the MANGO STICKY RICE, it's good, the same as other Mango sticky rices at any Thai restaurant. The SERVICE is on point, we had GINA as our server, she's a sweetheart, my Son said she reminded him of his AUNT 'coz she kept assisting my Son on getting the bowl of food, when my son will get a Curry she will come fast and move the rice closer to my son's side, as I said she's a sweetheart. The place is small, but we can taste on the food that they put their best into making it good, one thing we noticed the most was that all of their MEATS were well seasoned, as in every single Meat on our food was very tasty. If you are in BEVERLY HILLS and suddenly crave for THAI FOOD, then try this place, but as I mentioned at the beggining of my review this place is small, so have patience if there's a line.

Amazing food and atmosphere. Super fast and yummy food . Best panang and cake GINA is amazing and kind

pineapple duck curry
Chloe L.

this is a super tiny restaurant with a very powerful pineapple duck curry dish! it's very rich and creamy, and very sweet and nutty. i do wish it was spicier (i ordered medium spice) so it could've balanced out the sweet pineapple. the duck tasted great, could've been a little more tender. the staff is very quick and attentive, and the food comes out almost immediately. i would def come back and try their other popular dishes!

The restaurant itself has plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor options as well. I was particularly impressed by the menu, which has plenty of options for vegetarians and vegan diets and a great selection of salads. My husband ordered the breakfast with pancakes and it was delicious! I wouldn't necessarily call it the friendliest service I've experienced, but the food is excellent. I've witnessed him being rude to multiple other customers, he will rip the salt off your table, will start slamming chairs around you and give you a death stare! And even though I brought it up to the manager and to other employees, nothing has been done and he still works there. He absolutely ruined this place for me that I used to patron for over a decade. Awful move! And even worse to ignore that this is happening when you've been told multiple times. The other employees are cool, the food is decent, and the manager I thought was awesome, but they are completely ignoring this issue and it needs to be addressed . That guy needs to go! They will lose more patronage.

Well, as you all know, nearby is sort of a misnomer when it comes to LA traffic. We made it on time to our reservation at Super Peach. Parking was easy as we used the Westfield structure. We popped up the escalator and Super Peach was right there, so we did not have to search the mall directory. We checked in a couple minutes late but the place was basically empty. We were seated in a booth and given menus. I went to wash my hands and returned to the booth. Our server was Ansley M. The menu is straightforward. It is sort of like a paired down menu compared to Majordomo, which I've frequented in the past. I was interested in the ssam so we ordered the short rib version ($92), along with the Korean fried chicken wings ($19), and the burnt cheesecake ($15)for dessert. The food arrived in spurts and towards the end was a tad slow. We asked for additional lettuce and kimchi. We had to ask for their house citrus ponzu sauce. We should have mentioned up front that we needed to leave by a certain time, but I honestly did not think our lunch would take almost an hour and a half and that it would take us almost 30 minutes to get to our next destination. But I should have known better, having gone to school in LA, that traffic is unpredictable even on weekends. The food was good. My husband really enjoyed the wings. I loved the short rib. The cheesecake was okay and took forever even though we asked to pack it up to go. We paid and left. They do not validate parking which was a bummer. We were told that Gelson's validated parking. I got my first dish (the fried chicken kimbap) within 10 minutes of ordering but the rest of the dishes took about another 30 minutes. It was a little difficult to flag someone down to request water refills. The staff was friendly though, which was their saving grace. Food I started with the fried chicken kimbap. Nothing too special. I felt the vegetables and sauce outflavored the actual fried chicken inside. Overall presentation of food: 10/10. Food Taste: 6/10 Jjajangmyeon was one of the recommended dishes to get, so I gave that a shot. $59 for it is pretty wild. I did appreciate the server providing background on what the dish was (in the case there were diners who had no idea) while pouring the sauce on the noodles. It came with tangsuyuk (fried chicken), which is always good to have. The jjajangmyeon was what I would expected, though it was much more oily. Is it worth $59 though? No, you can skip the show and get the same jjajangmyeon at other Korean spots for half the price. Overall presentation of food: 10/10. Food Taste: 7.2/10 The pork belly ssam was my favorite dish. Glistening pork belly on top of steamed rice that also came with lettuce wrap and sauces to add in. The server explained how to eat the dish (place in lettuce wrap) though it got a little messy trying to make the wrap, so I would just recommended scooping in your dish and eat the lettuce on the side. Pork belly was very tendered and seasoned well; the boundaries between fat and meat were blurred. Overall presentation of food: 10/10. Food Taste: 7.5/10
