If you're sleeping on Miznon, wake up -- especially for the green beans. We first fell in love with Miznon at Chelsea Market, so we were beyond excited when it opened in LA. Since then, we've been three times... and counting. It's officially in our regular rotation. Food-wise, everything hits. The brisket in a bag is a must, the pita is perfectly fluffy, and the hummus is so good you'll want it on everything. Bonus: even our kids are into it, which says a lot. Service has also been great -- Kash (manager, I think) was super welcoming, and Empress was fantastic. Overall: delicious, casual, and consistently good. Food was exceptionally good. I had the run over potato and falafel burger. Wife had the chicken snitchzel pita, with Arak Lemonade that had a bit of a black licorice flavor. I'm not a big alcohol person but my wife lives a good drink and she absolutely loved this lemonade. Both meals were delicious. The chicken schnitzel juice and flavorful. The falafel also had great flavor. There was grab and go, bread on hand along with spicy peppers at a little counter area on the side to enjoy while waiting for your meal. Eden assisted us at the counter and was very friendly. In fact all the staff were super friendly and kind. A woman in front of us was a bit rude but Eden was soo chill and positive we forgot all about, he even gave us a discount on our meal to make up for the woman bad attitude . We came by for lunch here, it's a small location on 3rd street by some shops. Street parking. They have lots of tables inside and a couple tables out front too. They're known for having a tomato on all their tables. We asked what the favorites / best things are and they said the ribeye steak and chicken schnitzel pita so we ordered those two. The guy also asked if we want to try their cauliflower as an appetizer and said it's what they're known for, and it's a must get. We had to order it after that glowing recommendation. Honestly when the cauliflower came out we were confused. I guess it's cool because you get an entire head of cauliflower but besides that, there's really nothing special about it. It isn't seasoned, or if it is, we couldn't tell, though it did come with a dipping sauce. It was okay but I definitely wouldn't say this is a "must get" item and we were pretty disappointed that they clearly upsold us on it. Next, the pitas. We're used to having Mediterranean food all the time and that typically means big portions with lots of sides and lots of hummus. Well, there's no hummus. And the pita sandwiches are minuscule. Especially for the prices. The ribeye steak ($21) was certainly better than the schnitzel ($19). The schnitzel was dry and pretty bland overall. We actually didn't like that one. Miznon is easily my new favorite fast-casual chain. I first heard about them in Vegas, and then later found out they had opened at Grand Central Market in Los Angeles. Ever since I finally tried them last year, I've been a fan. Everything here is fantastic! The food is always high quality, fresh, and just feels clean in a way that really stands out. Nothing I've had here has disappointed me. At this point, I've tried almost all of their pita sandwiches except for the candy steak, and everything has been excellent. My personal favorites so far are the lamb kebab and the chicken schnitzel pita. I'm also a big fan of their falafel, and the cauliflower is absolutely to die for. I honestly didn't expect to love it as much as I do, but now it's one of my favorite things on the menu. I also want to give a special shoutout to Eden, who took great care of me and made me feel very welcome at this new location. He was warm, kind, and hospitable, and he really reinforced why I enjoy coming to Miznon so much. Good food and lively atmosphere. We stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday night and this place was so lively. We ordered then found a seat, they bring the food out to you. The space isn't super large, but they do have outdoor seating. The service was quick and friendly. The food was SO good. I had the lamb pita, so much flavor. The pita tasted so fresh as well. We also ordered the green beans, wow! I didn't know what to expect but they tasted so fresh and simple. They are served cold, which was a pleasant surprise! Was in the area for an appointment and had to come by to try Miznon. I went on a Saturday and it actually wasn't busy at all but maybe because it was an odd hour at 4pm. Parking was all street parking but that was also not hard to find either. The staff are super friendly and I think it was the store manager who gave me recommendations when I was waiting in line. I should've listened to him and got the out-of-pita option, but I really wanted to try the in pita option lol nothing wrong with the in pita option, just that when I got the candy steak, the brisket was HUGE LOL I don't know what I was expecting, but I ended up having the shred the brisket so it was a little less messy for myself. It was cooked so perfectly. So easy to shred, so hot and fresh and succulent! If you're a pickle fan, they definitely are not stingy on the pickles. And the sauce was delicious as well. Very visually appealing and I love the touch of fresh vegetables displayed on the front counter and tomatoes out on the tables- it just gives you the feeling of I'm about to eat something really fresh but also rustic and cozy at once. And, to me, the food really delivered on this. I had the falafel burger, my BF had the candy steak, and we shared the pita chip salad. My pita bread was so tasty and soft, and the falafel was seasoned so nicely- not too salty. A fun twist to have a "falafel burger" too. The salad had all of these fresh herbs and a delicious tahini. It began very well. Hot fresh fluffy pita bread with creamy tahini, crispy falafel with creamy interior, absolutely delicious. Then I came back a month later for a to go order, got home and it was dried out hard golf balls for falafel. I must have subconsciously erased it from my memory so I returned tonight to bring home dinner for me and my girlfriend. What was in the photo was this huge falafel burger in a fresh pita with fresh tomatoes... what came out of the bag was green mortar pretending to be falafel inside a soggy pita bread. No tahini dripping over the burger like in the photo, just a sloppily dollop of sauce way at the bottom smushed into a flat tasteless tomato. Really sad. AND! , I had the nerve to order the grilled cauliflower. I'm returning it tomorrow as evidence of carcinogenic burnt flacid pale vegetable posing as cauliflower. I'm going to ask for a full refund as we couldn't eat any of it. We started with the bag of green beans - lemon, garlic, olive oil, and salt - a great snack to get going. I had the lamb pita and my wife had the cauliflower pita. Both were perfect. Lamb was a ground kabob style and the pita was stuffed with onions, pickles, and a tahini sauce that mixed up with all of the juices. I'll definitely get it again, but there are 5 other things on the menu I want to try. Ended with the tahini cookie - bittersweet chocolate melted throughout with crispy edges and flaky salt on top - like the best homemade cookie you've ever had. Restaurant vibe is great.
