My family loves Persian food and this is our favorite spot in Los Angeles. The food is so fresh, so well seasoned and cooked, I can't say enough good things about it. IF YOU'VE NEVER TRIED PERSIAN FOOD, GO TO SADAF ASAP! You will not be disappointed. Bonus: The servers are incredibly welcoming and nice. A few tips. The "juicy chicken" is beyond delicious. Most people could get three meals out of one order, so consider getting it to share (or, like me, refuse to share with anyone so you can bring it home and enjoy all over again x 2). My daughter is partial to their beef koobideh, which she thinks beats her friends' mothers' version. The only slightly disappointing thing is the tahdig. Every time I've had this crispy rice, it is shaped like the pot it came from, so like a deep-dish pie of rice, with the crispy bits on top. Sadaf serves its tahdig with a stew, which I don't care for. But when I order plain tahdig, they charge the same $18 -- for $1 worth of plain rice! That's crazy! Even worse, you don't get the rice! They bring you a plate only of the crispy top portion of the tahdig, so you pay $17-$22 (depending on whether you order in the store or online) for what is just some bits of crisped rice. Maybe if you like the stew, this is worth it. But not plain, which is a bummer because I love tahdig! read more

I was very much looking forward to a lovely meal. Very disappointing to say the least- Koobideh was hard, tough, and no seasoning unfortunately. The rice was perfectly made. House dough was tasteless and watery without any ice so imagine that. Do better Sadaf. You have potential. read more

Great experience here. Servers were quite nice and the koobideh was juicy and boneless chicken had a good char, yet still very tender. Raffi's is the closest comparison I can compare to and it competes very well + no wait when I went! read more

Sadaf is one of our go to restaurants when we're in the valley area. It is consistently good and there is really nothing bad I could say about this restaurant. It also is not something absolutely amazing. It's a good dinner and a really good place to just go and eat some good food. read more

I heard this place was amazing, so I called to order takeout. Mina was so sweet on the phone that she actually convinced me to come in and eat there--and I'm so glad I did! The restaurant has such a quaint, charming NYC feel. It's intimate, with maybe 20 tables at most, and the staff is incredibly friendly, warm, and fun. While I was there, there was a birthday celebration and an engagement celebration happening, which made the whole atmosphere feel even more special. The birthday singing and music were so much fun! And the food... the salmon albaloo polo was AMAZING! Mina, Mehdi, Neda, Tina, Teo, Mauricio, Alex, and Daniel truly feel like one big family, and they made me feel like part of it. They even treated me to dessert and Persian tea with rock candy. Such a fun and memorable experience! Whether you're dining alone, going on a date, or celebrating a special occasion, this is definitely a place to check out. Highly recommend! read more

Sadaf Restaurant - Koobideh Combination Tahdig + Combination of 3 Stews - Persian/Iranian Near Me - Beverly Hills, California

Enjoyed outstanding Persian cuisine in a welcoming and accommodating atmosphere. We were seated outdoors which felt like a private dining experience. We started with shared appetizers of delicious hummus, eggplant, dolmeh and a yogurt cucumber sauce. For dinner my partner and I shared a scrumptious Sadaf combination #3 which included succulent and uniquely marinated rack of lamb ribs, juicy and flavorful chicken and steak. We highly recommend the Sadaf salad as an upgrade for a small price which includes dates, olives, fresh walnuts and feta. Wine available by the glass and bottle. The Persian ice cream with pistachio and rose water was a divine close to our evening. Some limited street parking available and a lot next to the restaurant. read more

Food is very delicious and fresh. The ambience is warm and inviting. We are a large group of friends who get together once in a while and this is our restaurant of choice. Behnam our server was very professional, friendly, and responsive. I recommend this place wholeheartedly. read more

Went back for the lunch experience. The chicken was not as amazing as the first time. I still like their salad. The chicken lunch special including tip was about $32. It was a large portion. The service was challenging. Our server would forget things and appeared to be distracted. He was on his phone most of the time. It's a charming restaurant but service today was a miss. The food was still pretty good not great. read more

Fresh cooked meals, wide menu variety, & a great service. This place is good. Only reason it lost stars is because i've have better Persian food before. But I still really enjoyed my food. I ordered the combination 3 stews which comes with fesenjun, ghormesabzi, & one other bean stew that I forgot the name of. It was pretty good. Fesenjun is my favorite persian food but I've have better ones many times. The meat inside it wasn't very tender. read more

Fantastic Persian food that's prepared better and clearly, better quality than 95% of other Persian restaurants throughout LA. Service is equally fantastic! I tried it once and now am a weekly regular there with my wife. read more

I'm not too familiar with Persian food, but after dining here last weekend I'd definitely like to try more! This restaurant is cozy, chic, and the customer service was excellent!! Below is what we tried: Hummus - 4 1/2 Stars. This tahini hummus was the perfect consistency and rich in flavor. Definitely get this was a side of pita to scoop it up with, though would have been better if the pita was warm. One order is a portion big enough for 4 people. Juicy Chicken - 5 stars! Cooked perfectly, the name does it justice -- this was juicy, rich in flavor and delicious. Beet Salad - 4 stars. The beets were good, could have used a bit more feta and walnuts. (Personal preference) Plain Tahdig - 3 1/2 stars. My buddy liked this, I thought it tasted a bit stale. This is basically crispy rice that pairs well with stews. Combination of 3 Stews - 5 stars. This was excellent! Each stew was robust and rich in flavor and excellent with rice or the leftover pita from the hummus. I unfortunately can't tell you what all the stews were, but I want them again! All in all, this is a solid spot for classic Persian dishes in an intimate environment. read more

There is no greater joy than a restaurant achieving what it has promised and Sadaf did just that during my visit. I ordered the Juicy Chicken but little did I know I'd be served the juiciest, and perfectly flavored chicken breast I've had in my life. To make matters even more impressive, the Shirazi Salad was fresh, bright, and I took the liberty of dipping the last bits of my chicken in the citrusy juice--what an absolute treat. Visit them for your next professional meeting, date, or catch-up with your best friend. It's a classy space with a super attentive staff, and at a shockingly reasonable price for BH. SADAF was a pleasant surprise -- the food was delicious, and the service inside the restaurant was genuinely great. I ordered the rack of lamb, which was flavorful and cooked just right. My goddaughter ordered the chicken shish kebab sandwich, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. For appetizers, we ordered the shrimp mushrooms -- and while I can't eat shrimp, I was able to enjoy the mushrooms, which were very good on their own. Everything I ordered was well prepared, and the staff made me feel welcome from start to finish. It's always refreshing when the kitchen and the service are both doing what they're supposed to do. Now, parking... that's where the experience took a turn. Like many restaurants in the area, parking is challenging, and unfortunately the parking attendant was rude, which set an unnecessary tone before I even made it inside. Thankfully, once seated, the food and service made up for it. I'd definitely return for the meal -- just prepared for the parking situation going in. read more

Wow. Unreal. Yes, I'm the American who knows Persian food. Why? Persian food fan from waayyyy back. Plus, I've been with a Persian woman for 11+ years. Thus, I'm practically Persian. Now, let me preface it that I've been to 2 other locations of Sadaf, both Woodland Hills and Thousand Oaks. But this fairly new location wowed me. Cute and modern, a single room creates a different experience than the others. Service was super nice, a team served us, all great. But the food was unbelievably good. The gf and I shared a "Eggplant Delight" (aka "Kashk bademjan") was super delish heightened by fried garlic atop. Then, the king Juicy Chicken was from beyond, grilled to perfection with a slight char, and served with fluffy rice, grilled tomato, onion, and green pepper. MMMMmmmmm...mmmmm! I can eat this all day, every day. Kudos to all involved, and to those who haven't been, go already. read more

Holy sh... This place is amazing! Funny thing I recently ate at a spot I thought was my #1, but this might just be better. The place looks both fancy and cozy. We came here after my theater performance to celebrate, and it did not disappoint. We ordered the juicy chicken it was drenched in marinade and incredibly tender, savory, and perfectly salted. We also got the koobideh kabob, which was just as juicy and full of flavor. The sautéed mushrooms were a nice surprise too really tasty! Even the tea was served in a super cozy and stylish way. The staff were kind and professional. Highly recommend! PS:Forgot to add the hummus was Delicious!!! read more

Man, The Tihdig and the Saadaaf Salad are FIRE. Best Iranian/Persian restaurant to eat in Beverly Hills as far as I am concerned. Lots of good seasoning and flavors. Salad is really delicious. First and foremost, the service is just so good so exceptional. Everyone is so kind and thoughtful and observant. I'm a newly found vegetarian and so ordering can be a little hard for me. I ordered a dish that I thought I was gonna like I took a bite and it wasn't my favorite. I'm not one to complain at restaurants so I was about to keep my feelings to myself, but I think my waitress notice and immediately came over and told me what was inside of it and gave me some other options and even though I was unsure of her options, she brought me samples to try both of the options and it was just such a great experience and I found what I like and now I get to eat it and I just love it here I love it so much. read more

Absolute gem! Very authentic, and I know good Persian cuisine! Excellent quality starters, amazing, juicy, well marinated chicken and very tender beef! Chicken is their specialty and certainly the king of the table - polo! We had four different polo with our chicken and beef and all was very delicious, non-fatty and excellent made! Finally the desert was ice cream with rose water and saffron - was absolutely amazing! Definitely coming back and highly recommend to everyone!!! read more

We needed an early dinner spot so we happened on this place. It's a pleasant street-facing dining room with a few outdoor tables on a busy street. The waiter helped us parse a slightly confusing menu (many options, choices, combinations, and substitutions available) We ended up with tahdig, a rice with cherries, some chicken fessenjun, a spiced ground chicken and beef kebab combo, and several salads. The tahdig was a little too greasy and didn't have enough stuff with it (it should have been served with more other stuff or the waiter should have warned us it needed other stuff). It was served alone as an appetizer. Maybe it would have been better with all the other food. The cherry rice was tasty and the chicken was good, although I've had better fessenjun elsewhere. (Not that I'm an expert, I just know what I prefer) Kebabs were super juicy and flavorful. Great seasoning and right off the fire. Portion size was a little small. Salads were good and very fresh. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very patient with us noobs. So overall it was a good value and a tasty meal. Nothing was knock-your-socks-off, but it's a solid meal. read more
