Farsi Cafe opened in 2011 on Westwood Blvd, Los Angeles. It is one of our favorite Persian eateries. We just love everything about it. The prices are fair for the great food they serve. The place is comfortable and not so huge. It is just perfect. It is always clean. I love the interior, it has some cool art and a very welcoming vibe to it. The service is just perfect. They know the menu so well and can help those who need to learn about Persian food. The staff is kind and they will make sure you are happy. You are never rushed out. Farsi Cafe Serves authentic Persian cuisine--kebabs, stews, and you can get great away dishes. They have the best rice. All of their food is great. We love all the lamb and chicken items. Their kebabs are great, no matter what type you get. They have great salads and you must try their traditional bread. And get a stew. It is so comforting. All of it is great. You will be happy.

I love this place in Westwood. I've been coming here since it was Baran - since then the food and the vibe has improved dramatically. Street parking is normally fairly easy to find - although I think they might have a small lot in the back. This is one of the very few Persian restaurants that offer abgousht/dizi (although they only offer it certain days a week). Their tahchin is super aromatic and deliciously fluffy. The ambiance is modern and I love all the windows they have. The service is always friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this place for delicious Persian food.

Sooo delicious! Amazing service! Such a nice time and great flavors. All who work here are so friendly and warm. Will be back again when craving Persian food

Me and my family usually go to Flame for Persian food, but we wanted to try a new spot. It was pretty empty when we got there, so we got seated immediately. The decor is nice, and they have live music which is always a plus. From someone that eats persian food often, I can say these things: Tahdig: Their Tahdig was delicious, it didn't stay on the plate very long. It was crispy and the rice was flavorful. We got it with a side of Ghormeh Sabzi. Tahchin: It was okay. The rice was good, but the chicken was dry and flavorless. Rack of Lamb: It was good, but I've had better. I got it with Baghali Polo was was very good. Beef Koobideh: Now, this was the star of the show! Their koobideh was amazing, full of flavor and melts in your mouth. I always get koobideh when I go to a Persian restaurant and I can tell you this one is worth trying. They had an option to order half plate with one skewer, which I liked because I can never finish the whole thing in one sitting. Parking is hard to find, as most of the spots nearby have a 1 hour limit. They also did not have any fish, they said they ran out and it was only 6PM which was a bit disappointing. Overall, I'd give this place a high 3/low 4.

You don't allow online orders. These restaurants don't accept orders. They accept orders. Well, they don't do delivery. They split the customer who comes. They serve well. Those who order online from them don't serve their customers.

They make a really good ashreshteh but it's very disappointing that they're so stingy about things Ordered two 16 oz ashreshteh to go.. both came only partially filled ( top was literally empty- see pics) Toppings - I called to ask for them on side & the lady swears they don't have and they pre put it on top... after much back and fourth that I need it on side .. she magically was able to do it but it's *extra charge* they probably gave me enough for 1-2 spoons - less then a sample amount. A tiny container barely filled. They try to cut corners by filling our order half way- it's just gonna bite them and take their biz downhill. I also asked for utencils to be included and they totally forgot. I hate when places are stingy on the small things. This is what's gonna make people not come back. Unfortunately I won't be ordering again due to these issues

This is what the two supposed chicken breasts where. Clearly the small cartridges at the end of the chicken breasts.

This is a painful review to write, but one I feel I must. I understand that a while ago the ownership of this place has changed, so perhaps that the reason for my poor experience tonight. I hope the new owner takes this into consideration. We went in at about 5 PM tonight, when the place only had one other couple in it. We had a pleasant chat with our waitress who took our order and did very well on everything ordered. We got some Tahdig with a couple of stew. The stews where fine, but the actual tahdig was soft and with no crisp at all. We figured we're too early so we didn't really paid much attention. I also asked for a glass of hot water with fresh mint, and got exactly what I asked for. So far so good. Then our food order came out. At a persian restaurant the first thing I look for is cornish hen, aka Jooje Kabab. I feel like how the dish is made is telling of their standards. How they cut the hen, how the marinade it, season it, cook it to make sure it is cooked throughly, and that it is still juicy and not dry. The color, the finish and presentation says a lot about the chef. So if the dish is on the menu, that's what I would try, and that is what I did. When I got the dish, at first I thought I got the wrong food. I kept looking at the pieces of the hen and could not make sense of it. There is generally a pair of wings, breasts, thighs and drumsticks. The breasts are always the largest pieces and most notable. This dish seemed strange. I could not tell the pieces apart other than the drumsticks. I kept shoveling around the pieces, and noticed two small pieces of the bottom part of a breast cut. That's when I took out my phone and took the pictures. We asked our waitress over and pointed out the issue, and she started explaining that "generally the small chicken is cut into pieces and cooked", and when I asked her to show me the breasts she just smiled and didn't have much to say, and at the end she said "I will let the owner know". Eating the pieces was as disappointing as the presentations. I feel like some of the pieces where previously cooked and just reheated and VERY dry. I finished the chickens as much as I could so I can inspect the bones to see if I have missed anything. You be the judge. What you see as the "breasts" are the small cartilage of bone breast which was about 1/4 of what the actual breasts supposed to be. This is just about the most disappointing Cornish Hen plate I have EVER seen. Not sure what the chef was thinking when cutting these pieces, and how could anyone accept this as a plate of cut Cornish hen. Years ago, this used to be a place I would get food from for my office employees about twice a week, and one or two nights for home. It is so sad to see how their standards have be lowered so much.

I am heading to a friend's place later and didn't want to arrive for dinner empty handed so I came here to grab some delicious fruit pastries with berries. The food, tea, pastries and all the other great things you can get here are delicious! It's a very casual place with tables but today I didn't stay and got my pastries to go. Fresh pastries, cakes and cookies all very beautifully done and delicious! Parking is validated for only 20 mins. It's about $6 for an hour of parking in the lot in case you don't find meter parking.

When we arrived the host was friendly and walked us over to our table with a smile. Then our server came over and let me tell she was the most happy and friendliest server that we have ever experienced in our dining experience. Marlene approached us with "happy Friday" and spark up a quick conversation of why we were visiting. She made us feel welcomed immediately and excited about being there. We had a few questions about the menu and she was able to guide us through the menu with ease. She recommended things we hadn't tried before and for every dish that came out she would tell us the best way the chef would like us to enjoy them. I mean the service was impeccable. She was super sweet with my mother who is a bit older and sometimes is indecisive with food and drinks. But she was so patient with her and sweet to help her choose a wine and items on the menu that she end up loving. My mother couldn't stop talking about her on the way home. Every dish that came to our table was amazing and the drinks were super tasty. Hummus, crudo, prawns and dorado are a must. At the end we trusted her to choose dessert for us. The cashew bar and donuts nuts were the best way to end our dining experience. Overall, if you are looking for great food and amazing service this is the place to come.

The restaurant has a really homey feeling inside, with about four small tables that make it feel cozy and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you immediately feel comfortable. Hermon helped recommend our food, cooked it, and even served us. She was so kind and made the whole experience feel really personal. She also offered us complimentary baklava, which was amazing.
