I came here on a Saturday night and this is probably one of my least favorite pochas because of the food and drink quality.   Firstly the drinks: When we went they were BOGO and around $18 each so it was a pretty good deal for $9 a drink which was perfect for my group of 4. My friend and I split the love bug and it was disappointing. It tasted fruity, but watered down and it felt like there was barely an alcohol in it. I also tasted my other friends' drinks which were also not good. The raspberry beret and the peach paloma were both bitter and not pleasant tasting.   For food, the only decent thing was the buldak. It was cheesy and I liked how they infused the corn cheese into it. The chicken was good and juicy. The tteokkbokki was weird. Firstly, they didn't include the parmesan crisps as they mentioned in the menu. Secondly, the sauce was different compared to other tteokkbokki sauces I'm used to. It was dark red in color, soupy, and oily which I did not like. Thirdly, the rice and fish cakes themselves were very unique in shape. The cakes and sausages weren't that bad and the textures were good, but the sauce was just not it.  Lastly, the ramen was such a scam. For $15, it was just regular shin ramyeon with some mussels, jalapenos and peppers added. For all the food dishes, the portions were all small relative to the price and were not great for sharing in big groups.   The interior was spacious and vibes were decent. The music from the DJ booth was good. The photobooth wasn't working when we visited which was a minus because my friends and I like the photobooths. There's a free and private parking lot next to the pocha which can get filled.   Overall, not the greatest experience at this pocha mostly because of the food and drinks and I would probably not visit again. read more

FREE PARKING in LA is a rare find but this place has it. This bar is very spacious and offers a lot of seating. There's also a photo booth, arcade games, a pool table, and darts. I tried the topokki which was good. I ordered the "love bug" and tried the "raspberry beret" and "peach paloma". I think these drinks were a perfect amount of sweet (I'm a girl who loves her sweet cocktails), although the flavor of the raspberry beret wasn't my favorite. The ambiance is really nice since they play loud music and have colorful lights, but I'd say it's not really a place you should go if you're aiming just to meet people. But it's a very nice place to hang out with friends or go on a date because of the space! I definitely recommend bringing a game or two to play as well. read more

For a pub, the food is quite good! The cocktails were flavorful, but it would be nice to see a bit more variety in signature drinks beyond soju and beer. The food is definitely tasty, but the portions are a bit small, so if you're planning to have a full meal, you might need to order several dishes. The atmosphere is great, and it's nice that there are group activities like dart games and pocket ball. It would be even better if there were a private space for birthday parties. read more

Cham just opened up and it's where Fountain used to be/ across from Memorylook! Came here on a Friday night with my friend and there was a wait, I think it was around 30 minutes? But while we waited, we were able to sit at the bar and we ordered drinks there as well! We got the paloma and elderflower drinks. The elderflower one tasted really good but the paloma was kind of water down, and the drink was already sweet to me but it was even sweeter when they added the sugar rim (I had to remove that). We finally got seated and we ordered a bottle of saero, beer, shrimp risotto, and eggplant fries. I was prepared to not really care for the food, but I was pleasantly surprised! The risotto was tasty, flavorful, great texture, and I just really enjoyed it. The eggplant fries were crispy and I loved the sauce that came with it. I definitely was blown away by the food quality, I really hope as this place goes on, the food quality stays the same. The food prices were also very reasonable for what they're serving. Also be aware that the music gets louder throughout the night and we sat right next to the speakers so we had to scream at each other to converse. Also, the dj was whatever imo. Stopped by Cham Gastropub in K-Town recently. The place has a good setup -- big screens for games, pool tables, and enough space to hang with friends. We got shrimp risotto, skewers platter, rosé tteokbokki, Peach Paloma, The Fountain Mule, and the whole chicken. The shrimp risotto and skewers platter were definitely the highlights. Drinks were solid too -- Peach Paloma was my favorite. The other dishes were good, all of it paired together well, nothing overcomplicated but satisfying. It's an easy spot for a casual night out -- grab a game, some drinks, and food that actually hits. Laid-back vibe, enough going on to make it a reliable K-Town option without any fuss. read more

A nice place for late night Korean food and soju x cocktails. They have live music starting from 9pm on Friday and Saturday. The food was delicious and the plating is very nice. I think the portion is too small for the price. Each dish was around $20 but we need at least 2 dishes per person to be full. Came here after hearing a lot of hype about the opening. The space is the first floor of what was and maybe still is? Fountain which is a club. There used to be $20 valet during the club days, but now the lot is free. The lot is shared with the coffee shop Memory Look, so spaces can be limited. Apparently, you can make reservations, but doing so isn't clear. When I went, there was no public number listed. Maybe through social media? The food is not the emphasis here and probably a bit too elevated in desire for the execution, quality, and price. Music was loud and got progressively louder throughout the night so it made it hard to talk at a table. For a pocha experience, frankly there are better spots, but if you're looking purely for a place to drink and then for a DJ afterwards, this may scratch that itch. Discovered this place yesterday on google and honestly might be my new go to spot. They have a massive FREE parking lot which is rare nowadays. The inside is really nice and has great decor. Could be a good date spot, outing with friends or any event. The lighting and colors make it a vibe Immediately when we walked in the server greeted us and sat us down. Throughout the night they were very attentive and very friendly. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some good tips. Now on to the food. We got the topokki and ribs. Both tasted delicious. Ended up washing all the food down with way too many bottles of saero The crowd is a more mature and calm crowd, id say maybe late 20s, which is great. I would say if you're single it's a good place to mingle since the place had a few tables of single girls. We went last night for the first time because we saw an influencer video on instagram. Food - It's tasty but very overpriced and very little food. We got rice pieces of chicken wings for $18 like wth!!! And the sauce on it looks like they just drizzle it so it's no flavor inside. Drinks - Again! Very overpriced and I'm saying it again because I've been to a lot other Korean pubs and they're all usually range from $12-$15 but this place has their price starts at $18 which is crazy to me and I get it in this economy but it's just damn! Ambiance - it's nice and good music inside but the club upstairs is really disappointing. They started playing EDM in the beginning and I was so happy with it and then when we went upstairs, we realized there were a bunch of people (idk if they are 18+?) and the music sucks so bad, and no one really is dancing or anything. This place is a great upscale sports bar! Lots of TVs everywhere. And they play the sound of the game! We were visiting from the Bay Area and were able to watch the Niners game here. Went there for a listening party event, the service took 2hours from ordering until getting your food. Ok get it, it was slammed. But then when food came it was bad. The dukboggi dish had only 6 pieces of small rice cakes, common, you charge $20 for it. The buldak cheese dish was supposed to be with cheese, but instead the chicken came soaked in milk and the chicken seasoning was not mixed at all, just one big spoon of buldak sauce in the middle, ughh, was so disappointed. The one good thing about this place: there's a parking lot, so parking won't be an issue. However, everything else was mid AND overpriced. The food portions were small, little variety, and overpriced. We ordered so much and were still hungry after (we order less at other pochas and walk out full). The restaurant ran out of apricot soju halfway through the night lol.. and the place was empty on a Saturday night.
