We came for the Korea vs. Mexico watch party and, yes, the wait was long. Our group waited close to two hours before getting in but we also planned in advance to get there early and wait so that we would be able to get it. Could communication have been better? Absolutely. I think more frequent updates about wait times and capacity would have helped manage expectations. That said, once we got inside, we honestly had a great time. The atmosphere was fun, the energy was amazing, and it was clear that the staff was working incredibly hard. They were dealing with a crowd that seemed much larger than anyone anticipated, and despite being understaffed, everyone we interacted with remained professional and friendly. I also think it's important to be realistic about the situation. There were people lined up far down the street, and just looking at the size of the restaurant, it was obvious that there was no way everyone would be able to get in. It was an extremely popular event, and the demand simply exceeded the venue's capacity. I completely understand why some people left feeling frustrated, especially if they waited and didn't get in. At the same time, I don't think the staff deserved the level of criticism they've been receiving. From what I saw, they were doing their best in a difficult situation and trying to accommodate as many people as possible. For our group, the wait ended up being worth it. We had a great time cheering on Korea, enjoyed the food and drinks, and made some fun memories with friends. No event is perfect, especially with a huge crowd. I arrived at 3:30 p.m. for a 6:00 p.m. World Cup match after being told by the establishment a week earlier that seating was first-come, first-served and that arriving before 4:00 p.m. would not be a problem. When I arrived, there were only about 15-20 people ahead of me in line. As the afternoon progressed, the line stretched down the street, yet no staff member came outside to communicate capacity limits, seating availability, or where the line should reasonably end. Even more concerning, patrons were not admitted until after the match had already started. The situation quickly became chaotic. People who had waited for hours were understandably frustrated, and many were openly voicing their concerns. Groups were admitted one at a time, creating further delays. When it was finally my turn to enter, I was informed that all tables had been taken and that only standing room remained. I was allowed to look inside before deciding whether to stay. What I observed was particularly disappointing: many individuals who had not been ahead of me in line were already seated at tables. I have no idea how they got in but I suspect they were allowed in through some other entrance. After waiting more than two hours based on the information provided by the establishment, this felt unfair and misleading. Most disappointing was having invited friends to join me for the match, only to have the experience ruined by what appeared to be poor planning and inadequate crowd management. The demand for a major World Cup match should not have come as a surprise. If the venue anticipated significant attendance, additional seating, staffing, and clear communication should have been put in place. This was one of the most poorly managed event experiences I have encountered. At a minimum, I believe the ownership should publicly acknowledge what occurred and apologize to the many customers who invested hours of their time only to be left without the accommodations they were promised. I waited in line for a little over an hour, hoping to get into the bar. During that time, there was little to no communication about whether my group would be allowed to enter. Around 6:00 PM, they began letting in one group at a time, but I also noticed people being allowed in through a side entrance--at least 10 people while others continued waiting in line. The lack of communication and interaction with the people who had been standing in line for hours was extremely disappointing. I ended up leaving around 6:15 PM, right when a security guard finally informed a group that they were the cutoff for entry. This event for Korea vs Mexico was handled unprofessionally. We waited in line for an hour and a half and were near the front the entire time. Staff told everyone at 5 PM that they would open in 20 minutes, but by 5:50 PM, with the game starting at 6 pm, there had been no further communication. To make matters worse, certain groups were allowed in through side entrances and others bypassed the line entirely while people who had been waiting patiently were left outside. We kept hearing that they were going to open 30min before the game started. We had about 20ppl ahead of us but while waiting in line security was letting in ppl from the side doors. Mind you there's about 20 ppl in front of us since 330pm. When they finally start letting ppl in at 6pm which is when the game started they stated there were no tables or seats anymore. Since there were no reservations available online and it appeared to be first-come, first-served, I got in line at 3:30 PM with only about five people ahead of me. As time went on, many of those people were holding spots for large groups of friends. By 5:00 PM, there were suddenly around 30 people ahead of us. While that's not entirely the venue's fault, what was frustrating was watching at least 15 "VIP" guests walk in before opening without ever waiting in line. Meanwhile, a massive line of paying customers was left standing outside with little communication or organization. The security staff did their best, but overall the event was handled very poorly. It felt disrespectful to those who arrived early and waited for hours, especially when others were seemingly given priority treatment. Whether it was VIP access or favoritism, it created a very unfair experience. To make matters worse, more than half the crowd ended up standing, and after waiting so long, we couldn't even get food or drinks despite being hungry. I came here on a Saturday night and this is probably one of my least favorite pochas because of the food and drink quality.   Firstly the drinks: When we went they were BOGO and around $18 each so it was a pretty good deal for $9 a drink which was perfect for my group of 4. My friend and I split the love bug and it was disappointing. It tasted fruity, but watered down and it felt like there was barely an alcohol in it. I also tasted my other friends' drinks which were also not good. The raspberry beret and the peach paloma were both bitter and not pleasant tasting.   For food, the only decent thing was the buldak. It was cheesy and I liked how they infused the corn cheese into it. The chicken was good and juicy. The tteokkbokki was weird. Firstly, they didn't include the parmesan crisps as they mentioned in the menu. Secondly, the sauce was different compared to other tteokkbokki sauces I'm used to. It was dark red in color, soupy, and oily which I did not like. Thirdly, the rice and fish cakes themselves were very unique in shape. The cakes and sausages weren't that bad and the textures were good, but the sauce was just not it.  Lastly, the ramen was such a scam. For $15, it was just regular shin ramyeon with some mussels, jalapenos and peppers added. For all the food dishes, the portions were all small relative to the price and were not great for sharing in big groups.   The interior was spacious and vibes were decent. The music from the DJ booth was good. The photobooth wasn't working when we visited which was a minus because my friends and I like the photobooths. There's a free and private parking lot next to the pocha which can get filled.   Overall, not the greatest experience at this pocha mostly because of the food and drinks and I would probably not visit again. read more

FREE PARKING in LA is a rare find but this place has it. This bar is very spacious and offers a lot of seating. There's also a photo booth, arcade games, a pool table, and darts. I tried the topokki which was good. I ordered the "love bug" and tried the "raspberry beret" and "peach paloma". I think these drinks were a perfect amount of sweet (I'm a girl who loves her sweet cocktails), although the flavor of the raspberry beret wasn't my favorite. The ambiance is really nice since they play loud music and have colorful lights, but I'd say it's not really a place you should go if you're aiming just to meet people. But it's a very nice place to hang out with friends or go on a date because of the space! I definitely recommend bringing a game or two to play as well. read more

Cham just opened up and it's where Fountain used to be/ across from Memorylook! Came here on a Friday night with my friend and there was a wait, I think it was around 30 minutes? But while we waited, we were able to sit at the bar and we ordered drinks there as well! We got the paloma and elderflower drinks. The elderflower one tasted really good but the paloma was kind of water down, and the drink was already sweet to me but it was even sweeter when they added the sugar rim (I had to remove that). We finally got seated and we ordered a bottle of saero, beer, shrimp risotto, and eggplant fries. I was prepared to not really care for the food, but I was pleasantly surprised! The risotto was tasty, flavorful, great texture, and I just really enjoyed it. The eggplant fries were crispy and I loved the sauce that came with it. I definitely was blown away by the food quality, I really hope as this place goes on, the food quality stays the same. The food prices were also very reasonable for what they're serving. Also be aware that the music gets louder throughout the night and we sat right next to the speakers so we had to scream at each other to converse. Also, the dj was whatever imo. Came here after hearing a lot of hype about the opening. The space is the first floor of what was and maybe still is? Fountain which is a club. There used to be $20 valet during the club days, but now the lot is free. The lot is shared with the coffee shop Memory Look, so spaces can be limited. Apparently, you can make reservations, but doing so isn't clear. When I went, there was no public number listed. Maybe through social media? The food is not the emphasis here and probably a bit too elevated in desire for the execution, quality, and price. Music was loud and got progressively louder throughout the night so it made it hard to talk at a table. For a pocha experience, frankly there are better spots, but if you're looking purely for a place to drink and then for a DJ afterwards, this may scratch that itch. Discovered this place yesterday on google and honestly might be my new go to spot. They have a massive FREE parking lot which is rare nowadays. The inside is really nice and has great decor. Could be a good date spot, outing with friends or any event. The lighting and colors make it a vibe Immediately when we walked in the server greeted us and sat us down. We went last night for the first time because we saw an influencer video on instagram. Food - It's tasty but very overpriced and very little food. Went there for a listening party event, the service took 2hours from ordering until getting your food. Ok get it, it was slammed. But then when food came it was bad. The dukboggi dish had only 6 pieces of small rice cakes, common, you charge $20 for it. The buldak cheese dish was supposed to be with cheese, but instead the chicken came soaked in milk and the chicken seasoning was not mixed at all, just one big spoon of buldak sauce in the middle, ughh, was so disappointed.
