been coming to Biergarten for years as it's the only TRUE sports bar in K-Town! they have tons of TV playing all the sports game as well as a huge projector playing the main game. it's a genuine sports bar with the atmosphere. they have their own parking lot but recommend uber-ing as they have so many different types of beer on tap as well as a full bar options. didn't know until yesterday but during SUNDAY FOOTBALL they open before the 10 am kick off and have a whole different brunch menu! read more

Went for a World Cup game it's dark in there and has many TVs at every angle you can think of. Sound sucks because it echoes since all the TVs have volume on. Beer selection is alright and so is most of the food. The shrimp was great, wings were alright the house sauce was good, fries were OK but for the price not worth it. Service is hit and miss but expected when packed. read more

I've been to Biergarten four times in the last decade, twice for World Cup games involving Korea and Mexico. I don't otherwise go to sports bars, and Biergarten isn't exactly a sports bar anyway, but it's an extremely happy place for an L.A. World Cup Korea Mexico hugfest experience. I'm a fan of Biergarten in general, too. It's a great place to drink, easy if you're not trying to catch a literal World Cup game, with friendly service and a comfortable, unpretentious K-Town gatsropub atmosphere. The place has been around for a long time, now, as have I, and I appreciate having it in the neighborhood. Food is solid, I just had some of the chicken wings and kalbi poutine as I watched Korea's inglorious defeat and Mexico's rousing victory, and there's plenty of beer and soju on the menu. I think I had my first Delirium Tremens here many years ago, and I spent the other night drinking soju and the house Biergarten lager, a nice, refreshing beer you can order by the pitcher. I always have fun at Biergarten and look forward to my next visit, even if it is in another four years. read more

Biergarten is our go-to spot in K-Town to watch games and a solid spot for food and drinks. I wouldn't say the food here is mindblowing, but it's good enough to keep us coming back. Some of my favorites are the loaded totchos and the German fried rice. The Korean fried chicken is not breaded like I would have expected but rather fried whole with the skin on - something to keep in mind. It can get pretty packed, so service is usually just alright, but the waiters still make their rounds. On our last visit, however, we had ordered a beer and a diet coke but never received them. We assumed they must have not been added to the bill, but it turns out we were still charged. Definitely something to watch out for if you don't receive everything you order! On a more positive note, the vibes are probably what sets this place apart. It's a lively atmosphere with lots of TVs, tables, and cool lights and signs around the restaurant. If you're looking for a fun place to watch a game, I would recommend Biergarten! read more

Casual spot, had a great beer menu, and of course good lounge area with sports focus. My girlfriend and I came here during since we were in the area and were craving a beer/bar food... it was also the NFL playoffs and the Seattle Seahawks were playing so there was to no surprise a lot of people there to watch the game. Luckily their host found some stools for us by a leader/small table but ended being just fine. Given the high capacity/ NFL playoffs vibes I was just grateful to get a spot to sit and eat, plus we had a great view of the TV/game. I had myself a nice cheese burger which if i remember correctly had some kimchi in it which i loved. We had some of their I also had A LOT of beer lol. I tried a couple different crafts one of which being peanutter'd flavor. It was a darker boozy brew which I enjoyed. It not exactly a garden, or too glamorous, but in its own right was cozy, well kept, and laid back spot in the middle of Ktown which ended up being just right for us to unwind and get some damn good food. We didn't end up staying for the whole game but did enjoy the friendly sports environment and would come back to try more for a big game if in the area. The prices were very reasonable and food was scrumptious. read more

Caught up with a group of friends here late one night, and thankfully the kitchen was open late! We arrived around 10:30PM on a Saturday and they weren't phased when we put in a large food order. Most of the table went for the Chosun Burger with spam and kimchi, but I opted for the German Burger topped with a bratwurst and sauerkraut. No regrets. It was incredibly satisfying at the end of the day, and honestly a great deal since it comes with fries! I also tried the drunk bier chicken and kimchi pancakes, plus the matcha highball, which were all great. I ended up at a table with some friends of friends who came by, and somehow we all ended up on one tab.... luckily we were there so late so it was fairly quiet and our server was an angel and helped us break it all up. read more

Biergarten is a great place to watch sports and enjoy quality food! As you enter you are greeted with multiple TVs and LA sports posters. I really enjoy watching Laker games, UFC fights, Dodger Games, Rams games, etc. here at Biergarten. No cover on UFC fights and the energy is great! The drunk bier chicken is a must try. The chicken is cooked to perfection with an amazing green sauce. The pretzel and cheese is a great shareable. Vibes here are great, def recommend! read more

The food has definitely seen better days. The wings and katsu always have a freezer burn aftertaste and prob just come out of a bag. It's still a cool spot to come catch a game with a beer so I'll give em that. They're also accommodating when needed. read more

Came to Biergarten for the first time to watch the LAFC playoff game, and it was great! Wings, fries and sausage platter were pretty damn good, and because of the playoff game, servers were giving out free shots most of the night. If you are an LAFC fan, enjoy good Korean and/or German food, this place is a must go. Vibes were great. read more

What a cool spot for drinks and UFC (I'm sure other events as well). I went in on a fight night and grabbed a seat at the bar. I ended up making friends with the others in the bar area and clicked up to enjoy the fights. That right there tells you the vibes of this place. It's not as big as it appears outside but all the better inside. Staff were super friendly and quick on the orders. Good beers on tap. Nice little food menu with fusion items. I'd definitely be a regular here, specially on fight nights. Great job team! read more

We had the same issue many have reported. I went here last night. I didn't even get to try the food. I ordered a beer. The waiter asked if we wanted to order but we needed a minute. Then he (a man with short, curly hair mentioned in the other reviews) and the other woman continued to ignore us for the rest of our stay. We tried making subtle eye contact, waving, they ignored us from like two feet away. Finally, about 20 or more minutes later, when my beer was done, I said "hi can we order" loudly when he was close enough. He put a one minute finger in my face without looking our way. Then was gone for another five minutes. When he came back we just asked for the check. My friend said she no longer felt comfortable ordering and we just left. I'm black and she's white. As the other people with bad experiences have been people of color, I felt it was worth mentioning so you can be aware. I'll certainly never return. read more

Beer and atmosphere: great I had the Chosun burger and really wasn't a fan. I was hoping it'd be one of those unconventional food combinations that worked, but unfortunately it was just bad. The fries were great though. read more

Great spot to grab some grub and watch the game. The staff is very polite. Food is what you expect at a bar. I'll be back.

Awesome bar! I came here for a UFC PPV night with a group of friends and it was awesome! We came early and were able to walk in but they also take reservations and did not have much walk in availability. 5 stars for the tvs, dark bar feel, and beer choices. But I'm not sure how they got such high ratings on food? The Drunken chicken was dry, not seasoned and gamey tasting. Sletchy Valet outside with $3 sign. Dirty sticky bar. Menus glued together. Questionable sanitation and filthy bar. I'd hate to see it in the daylight. Can't screw up the beer, right. Ordered an house branded OctoberFest beer. Lots of confusion and they're out of it. Ok. A Paulaner Oktoberfest Marzen then. More confusion and she pulls a weak lager. It's not a Marzen. It's pale Bud light tasting swill. It's an Oktoberfest "Oktoberfest" beer she says. Noped it outta there. Wirsthaus is 2 miles away. Real beer. read more

Sports bar that doesn't understand the idea of multiple screens. There were three different afternoon games on but to watch all three was impossible. One room had one game. The main area had another game. And the last game was resigned to a TV above the waiters station. I asked an employee if they could change one of the screens and he said he couldn't. If he changed any of the TVs the owner would fire him. Hmm. I kindly asked the owner a few minutes later if he could oblige but he became extremely belligerent; I mean aggressive. I guess the employee wasn't kidding and truly didn't want to lose his job. Wow. We left. read more

If you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere, a variety of beer options, and some good food; I recommend going here. There are a lot of tvs throughout, playing different sport games. You definitely get to see the eclectic nature of the koreatown community. The staff also reflects a relaxed attitude but they're also attentive when it comes to refills or new orders. I'm not a fan of their cocktails, but some food suggestions are their KFC, Kimchi Fried Rice Plate, and their wings! And then most people, I've gone with, enjoy the different beer options. read more

Really fun spot to watch sports with a great selection of beer. Dimly lit with plenty of TVs to watch various sports events. There's also a little bar seating if you are solo. Staff is friendly and various bar food is good and for some entrees the portions are large, so if you're not too hungry maybe share. I specially liked the soft pretzel which was fluffy and salted just right. Overall great experience! read more

If I could give zero stars I would . One of the worst experiences I have ever had at any bar or restaurant. Our large group came to Biergarten in Koreatown on 11/20 around 10:30 PM for a birthday celebration, spent good money, and still ended up being treated with absolute disrespect. The male bartender working that night (dark shirt, curly mullet haircut) acted annoyed by us from the moment we walked in. We were practically the only customers there except for his Caucasian friends, who he kept going over to sit with. Every time he sat with them, they stared, pointed, and laughed in our direction. Whether they realize it or not, it felt humiliating, targeted, and completely inappropriate. As a group of mostly Latino customers, the way we were treated came across as stereotyping and blatant bias. His attitude was rude, cold, and condescending the entire time. Instead of treating us like paying customers, he acted as if we were beneath him. And despite our group spending a significant amount of money at that business, he still had the nerve to question whether we paid our tab and then overcharged us. It was insulting and completely unprofessional. I have never left a birthday celebration early because of a bartender's behavior, but this experience was so uncomfortable that we walked out. The energy in that place was hostile, judgmental, and unwelcoming. I strongly caution others, especially Latinos, to think twice before supporting this business. No one deserves to be treated like this when all they are doing is spending their hard-earned money and trying to enjoy their night. we will never return, and I will caution others in the community to never patronize this business . read more

Hands down, one of my favorite spots in Koreatown! They get super busy when there's a sports event, so keep that in mind. 5 stars for the consistency of delicious eats and friendly, fast service. Some of my favorite dishes (not all are offered during sports events, bummer, but it's probably for crowd control, and to keep quality service) - mushroom quesadilla, kimchi fried rice, army soup, kimchi pancakes, and churros... basically, everything is delicious. I would try other things but I just want my usual orders. Also, they have a great assortment of craft beers and I enjoyed their Moscow Mule. They are located in a plaza with a shared parking lot and surrounded by metered parking. read more

Eating here just made me sad. Here's what happens. You walk into a dank room, there's a bar area, but half of it is covered in junk (the establishment's photos are extremely aspirational) and has no seats. The bartender hands you a dirty menu. The menu descriptions seem okay, you order, and are given an unfortunate sandwich, so you eat the fries that come with it because those are at least good, then you pick at the sandwich because the hunger has not been sated by the fries. You realize you should have sent it back and left, you chalk your error up to hunger and convenience, so you get your bill, and after your meal + one beer + tax and tip, end up spending roughly $40 for the worst meal you've ever had in your life. The staff was friendly (second star for that), but it's an empty, dingy room with depressing food. read more

Fire food honestly. Chill people running the show. Always catch a vibe if you love sports!

Came here to watch the lakers and nuggets game with a few college friends during my LA trip before I headed down to SD. We put our names down a day before and once we got there, they said the place was booked out! We sat in the corner so it was slightly difficult to wave down service, but the vibes inside were great. Everyone cheering for the Lakers, although they lost. I could feel the energy as soon as I walked in. The nachos were honestly mid but their drunken chicken (not pictured) was amazing and so juicy! I would recommend getting the chicken for sure. read more
