Ive lived 5 mins walking distance from this place for 4 years and it's only when I move away that I finally try this place. I usually come here to drink but I was hungry this time. The food was really really good so I was very surprised. I already knew the drinks are pretty good too, so I am glad that this place has both. The service was fairly quick since it wasn't busy. It's a very indiscriminate spot that is easy to miss. But once inside it looks deceptively large. Overall I've had many fun nights here and recommend for something more chill compared to Chi Chi or DGM. It seems like the last remnant of prime ktown. read more

This place exudes the best combination of sophisticated fun! The staff is amazing. The venue made us feel like we walked into a jazz lounge that was spacious and had such positive vibes. They not only offer sports viewing, they also have a stage for a combination of concerts and comedy shows. We attended the event to see Lisa Loeb and support our friend that was promoting it. It was so fantabulous! Lisa's voice is still beautiful and she projects clearly! She sounds just as she did back in the day! We also had the pleasure of listening to Izabel Honey, Sierra and Jeong. The MC, PK, was rocking the house! The food is a fusion of gastro bar type menu. We ordered the following: 1-5 (5 being the yummiest) Shrimp tacos: 3 - these were pretty good but they tasted more like sweet BBQ sauce instead of a kimchi or zesty flavor. The tortilla texture was light and crispy. The shrimp was a medium size but the sweet sauce threw it off. The French Dip 4 This was amazing. The bread was perfect and the flavor was deep flavorful and on point. The lack of meat was the only reason why it didn't get a 5. Kimchi Shrimp Pasta 3.5 Pasta noodles were cooked perfectly. There were plenty of shrimp! The sauce seemed to be a combo of Alfredo and kimchi.vA suggestion would consider adding more kimchi and flavoring and making the sauce creamier and not so thick. Their drinks? Midori sour was a 5. Great amount of alcohol and great flavor. They didn't have Tokyo Tea on the menu but they made it for us since they had all the ingredients. 5 out of 5. Service is 5 out of 5. We were there the same day the Knicks had a playoff and the Lisa Loeb performance. Yes! The staff had to deal with so much craziness. I come here every few weeks and it never disappoints! The staff are SO attentive and friendly. I keep missing their happy hour that ends at 9pm but no problem. Had two appetizers and 4 drinks for under $100 which is a steal in today's world! The chili soy wings always hit the spot, sauce on the side so they're not TOO messy. Jalapeño sliders are also made with extremely fresh ingredients - no smushed, soggy burgers here! I always get a booth but there are also couches in front of huge tv's you can sit at only if you're in a large group. Good place to watch sports too! read more

Cafe Bleu has been around for ages, but I only went for the first time a few weeks ago, several hours into a boozy Koreatown night. I showed up with a small group after an event in the neighborhood, and ended up standing outside at two in the morning while everyone else smoked. Strip mall drunkies and cigarettes, boy did that take me back. The bar was pleasant and comfortable, pretty quiet on a Thursday night but nowhere near dead. It had a moody, loungey atmosphere, and felt like a great place to be a drunk Korean. I sat at the bar and caught up with an old friend over yogurt soju. Service was great, friendly and fast, and that yogurt soju hit. I don't know when I'd go back to Cafe Bleu, but I was heartened by this visit. I remember being young and drinking soju in KTown strip malls. I'm glad this is something we're still doing. read more

Little sister "Q" always lights everyone up with her genuine smile when you walk in. She's always paying attention and making sure the entire bar is taken care of. You never feel like shes just talking to you to bulk up her tips... genuine personality. It's been open so long Dumbfoundead had an album after the kbar. The vibe has always been pretty chill and the crowd skews a little older. I'm a little older so I like that, lol. A nice bar that I've seen for years but never went into until recently. I wish I had gone inside way sooner. It's a pretty chill and fun spot. The service is friendly and helpful. You get a choice of sitting at the bar or a table. We usually go for the table but I imagine the bar is nice too! (I'm just shy-super shy...yes I'm poorly singing that song). I've only ordered the carne asada nachos, but let's say it's I've ordered it almost every time I've been there. So you can't go wrong with that. It can get a little loud and dark but hey that's the cool and mysterious environment they're going for. It's located in one of the best plazas in k town. Like every restaurant there is amazing. Parking is valet at night but not too expensive. There is some metered street parking but that can be a challenge. Overall, it's a great spot to relax and grab some drinks. read more

I just moved to the Koreatown area and I found my new favorite bar! I started going in just to watch UFC, but now I'm there a few times a week to grab dinner, or just drink with my friends. There's this super cute bartender Q who easily makes one of the best Manhattans in town. She even convinced me to do their Apollo challenge - now my picture is on the wall! It always feels good when someone makes you try new things.
