Words cannot expressed how pleasantly shocked my friend and I were with the premium quality service we experienced at Pharaoh. We had been here a handful of times together over the years whenever we were in SoCal, but our experience this past August really had us sold on loyalty to Pharaoh for NRB (karaoke). We came in pretty late, after a concert at BMO and with my old service dog, probably around 11pm. The first thing we noticed was how nice the security guard was sitting outside of Pharaoh when we came off the elevator to B1. We thought the guard would make a stank out of having a dog enter the floor at all, but he was really polite and directed us through the lobby door. Once we went in, we were greeted by Pharaoh's staff and manager, who welcomed all of us (including my dog) with open arms. Like, literally, wide open, to my dog. The manager actually gave us a room upgrade so that my dog could be more comfortable while we karaoked and we got a generous serving of beer and soju along with our spacious karaoke room. We ordered some midnight snack bites-- Could have been the booze talking, but I highly recommend their sweet potato fries, honestly anything fried or savory there was fantastic and made to perfection. The song selections were massive, all up-to-date, and the system is easy to use (whether or not you use the Korean keyboard or not). Thankfully because we had an upgraded room, our friends who joined us an hour before Pharaoh closed were able to comfortably fit in the room with us and we were able to even finish our song list before leaving, even when we were 10 minutes over closing time. This type of tailored business and kindness to customers is truly a rare find in this modern economy, we'll definitely be back whenever we're in town. Thank you so much for all that you provided for us (even without a reservation and with my old service dog!)

It is not worth $250+ for this place. First of all, my friend group had 5 people and the manager…read moretells us about the $200 package. We're in the area and the cheaper karaoke bars are pretty out of reach, so we agree at the cost since we would split the bill. Song selection is abysmal and awkward with a slow love songs having random Kpop backgrounds with twerking in them. The song selection had more Korean than any other genre and most of the system was in Korean, so luckily my friend figured out how to change it to English. Service was decent. It's not like the server had to come in repeatedly. I didn't like the idea that we HAD to have alcohol when we asked to swap the alcohol for soda instead. At the very end, I'm told by the server that there is an automatic 20% service fee that was added to the bill. The cost was $200 and with the service fee and tax, it went over $250. Excuse me, we saw our server 3 times and neither was it for egregious requests. Your song selection is short, I can't control the volume without checking in with the employees, your food was okay, and you want to add on additional service fees for a $200 package. We were never told in the beginning that there was going to be a 20% service fee automatically. And neither would I put the server in an awkward position when it was the manager who explained the costs to us. We aren't coming back. It's a ripoff. And your toothbrushes suck.

They did park the cars for us but when it was time to get the cars they just handed us our keys. I'm not sure if that is standard or that is how they did only for us but it was only $3 and I put the tip in my pocket that I was going to give to the valet at the end. This valet is for the entire back lot not just exclusive to Rosen so I am not holding any of that against them. Package: We had a party of 8 and booked the large room which required us to have the $370 package. It kind of sucked because a lot of our party doesn't drink so we were forced to have to pay for a big bottle of alcohol that not everyone wanted. I wish there was a way to just sub food instead of the alcohol for people who don't drink. They said our large room would've fit up to 12 people but in my opinion, the large room should be for up to about 8 people if you want room to move around. Karaoke Selection: They had a lot of good classics but their collection is definitely LACKLUSTER. The other thing I didn't like was they provided no instructions and everything is in Korean so we had to figure the system out on our own. One of our TVs also had a huge crack in the middle of it and I wasn't really fond of it but definitely didn't make or break the night. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and I would highly recommend. I would hope by the next visit their catalog will be more updated with more American songs and artists.

It was pretty good and low alcohol content. I really wanted to do karaoke and at $40 an hour, it was def a deal. Each person does however have to also order a drink which ranges from $13-$15. Service was below average but I would definitely return just for the karaoke. It's nothing fancy and it's booth seating but I had fun nonetheless and would 100% return based on pricing. The downside is that there's only two rooms and I'm not sure if you can reserve in advance.

With so many great-looking drinks on the menu, I asked the bartender for a recommendation and went with a drink (I can't remember the name) that was essentially a spicy mezcal margarita. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up ordering three more, never getting around to trying anything else. The bar has more of a lounge-like feel, though I understand there are karaoke rooms in the back. They also offer food, but I wasn't in the mood to eat this time. Maybe next time, I'll try the truffle fries with my cocktail.

The snacks are what you pay for I guess but at the end they add a gratuity tip which is only cash/venmo. They don't even let you choose how much tip you wanna put, they tell you how much and expect you to give it. We were about 8 people and honestly they didn't really do much service. We just asked for two soju bottles and that was it. We used YouTube to sing our songs and it kind of kept pausing with every song but it wasn't that bad. Like many places here, it uses the Korean TJ karaoke system which isn't friendly for non Koreans but once you figure out the buttons and way it works, it's much better than many other systems as it has a great catalog especially if you want to sing Korean songs. Audio is great and it's reasonably comfortable inside. Downsides are limited parking and you need to pay, preferred cash, not much to offer outside of singing and basic can beverages, and newcomers who aren't Korean or didn't come with Korean friends will have some struggles in the beginning. Staff is nice though and will help. If you're going for max value for karaoke or lots of drinks or food, maybe you won't feel it's great.
