The drinks were pricey, but were sooo good. I enjoyed every drop. Cute cozy place for a drink. I like the layout. Cute chairs too!

The atmosphere here is really cool and pretty low-key, which is what I was hoping for. I liked the vintage vibe and the fact that they actually play records while you're having a drink. It's a nice spot to sit for a while and just listen to the music. The cocktails were well made and the place has a relaxed feel overall.

Cool little spot with great drinks! Definitely recommend the Velvet Negroni. They have some really cool vinyls you can listen to.

Drinks are pretty expensive starting at $20, but they're delicious. The vibe here is intimate and dark. Definitely perfect for a date night. Bartenders are friendly and made my drinks fast. You can choose a vinyl record to play which was nice.

This place is hidden above the pizzeria and has a cool concept, dim lights, nice atmosphere and you can pick vinyls to play. That said, price of the drinks is high and they're not so outstanding or unique to justify that pricing. I was there Friday night and it was very quiet, almost no one there and no one down at the pizza place either. Overall, cool experience for this once but I doubt I'll return

I really dig this spot, but DAMN was it hard to find lol. I walked around the entire block of Sunset and Vine, through the parking lot, just to find out that it's inside of the 800 Degrees Woodfired Kitchen. Talk about speakeasy! Staff was super friendly and helpful, and the ambiance was on point! The cocktail menu is quite extensive, I wanted to branch out, but this was just a quick stop before our concert at The Palladium. Now that I know how to find this place, I'll definitely be back when I have more time to enjoy one...or two of their unique cocktails! Check this place out for sure!

I'm usually of the school of thought that if I really don't like something, I keep it to myself rather than provide a one-star rating (check my profile if you don't believe me), but unfortunately, I think I have to share my experience here. I was excited to try this place because it was a speakeasy in my neighborhood with good reviews. You enter through a pizza spot, and it's located upstairs. The vibes inside are a bit dingy, but it's not necessarily a bad thing; it looks like an old-school Hollywood vibe. Upon opening the menu, the first thing I notice is the egregious prices of the drinks; they range on average from $20-$25. I'm sorry, but that's too much money for a drink. I wouldn't have been so salty if it came out good, but here's where the story goes extra sour. My girlfriend and I ordered the $23 Smoke and Spice mezcal drink. The bartender looked like this was his first week on the job. I know it's a hard job, but a $23 per cocktail spot should have experienced bartenders. He looked like the owner's son that they gave a job. Nice guy though. The drink was the worst I've ever had, and I'm not exaggerating. It tasted like what I imagine sweet gasoline would be like. My girlfriend concurred. I brought it back to the bar, and the other, more experienced bartender tried the drink and agreed with me that something was seriously wrong. The bartender who made my drink said he forgot the lemon and that's why it was off. I assured him that lemon could not fix that death potion. He added lemon, and I tried again. Still horrible, and arguably worse. We replaced the drinks with mezcal on the rocks, which was okay, but I think I would have been better off sending my money to a Nigerian prince who was fundraising via email to take back his rightful throne. Unfortunately, I'd avoid this place.

A great little speakeasy on the second floor above the 800º restaurant, you go through the restaurant to get upstairs. There's limited space but the ambiance is fun/cozy and quite friendly. Eclectic furniture but can get cozy with with a decent size group. I went with 3 friends and it wasn't too hard to find a place to sit, but we did get one of the last 2 available tables, definitely limited seating space in the speakeasy. The drinks were delicious, I had the Keiamina (gin) and a friend had Manager's Meeting (mezcal), and they were both wonderful cocktails with well blended flavors, great balance of sweet and smokey flavors, respectively. I would highly recommend. May have a little wait if you go during peak hours, but going around 10pm wasn't too much wait. Parking was on the street, you may find some parking structures as well around, but I don't think there's dedicated free parking.

This place was cool they had a variety of vinyls that you can put on que to be played on their record player. They have a good variety of house cocktails that were really good!

We had a really great bartender who offered me to smell the drink he was making to see if I would be interested. I am always asking bartenders what their sweetest drink is and I was told on this occasion to get the Yellow Submarine. I was pleasantly surprised by the sour notes present. I also ordered the Rhythm and Blues, and it wasn't as sweet. It had a nice note of lychee that was fruity and sweet still, but the blue curaçao was coming through rather bitter. I still enjoyed it, but I would prefer a heavier sweet note. The vibes here are chill which aligned with our goals for the evening: to be chill. I think it was my first or second ever speakeasy that I've been to. I never thought about Hollywood being a place to socialize in the evening. I am so used to the chaos during the daytime that I am shocked at the literal day/night difference. Lots of cute seating areas. I didn't get a chance to rifle through their vinyl collection. Maybe someday.

Friendly staff, shoutout to you Josh! Great bartender and makes well crafted cocktails! I never had my Midori sour this way before! Great vibes, music, and company. Pick a vinyl and put it in the queue to play on the vinyl station. This placed is upstairs of the pizza joint. Call it "speakeasy" if you may. We honestly thought we got the address wrong lol. This place is super cozy and dimly lit. Wide selection of drinks to choose from. Go check it out!

All dishes are carefully crafted with its colorful details, and its simple but bold flavors prepared for you through an open kitchen. This place gets busy the minute they open their doors so make reservations prior. 1. Korean Aguachile: fresh tilefish sashimi with finely sliced cucumber and white floral decor simmered in ice cold kimchee broth they pour at the table. Soooo good. Must order. 2. Soy Marinade Blue Prawn: My favorite dish of the night. Huge raw blue prawns (head attached) marinaded with soy sauce. Served with barley rice topped with Ssam jang (type of bean paste sauce), and seaweed paper. You wrap all ingredients in the seaweed paper to make a hand roll. Soooooo delicious. Can't walk out without trying this. 3. Beef short ribs: good but nothing unique in its flavoring . Beef steak(medium rare and super tender) that's lightly marinaded/glazed (so not overly sweet) with kbbq/short rib sauce. This is one of their fan favorites so I suggest you try it.. 4. Chilled Acorn Noodles: chewy cOLD noodles made with acorn (just like the acorn jelly side dish we eat). The noodles are seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu-jang (Gochujang paste), crispy cucumber slices, loads of dried seaweed flakes, and perilla oil. And you just mix them all together. Sooo good and paired well with the short ribs. Incredible. 5. Bluefin tuna and trout Bibimbop: like a poke bowl but so much better. Rice at the bottom with loads of lettuce strips, bluefin tuna sashimi, radish slices, and cavier. Seasoned with Korean Cho-go-chu jang (Gochujang paste with a twist of vinegar). Very good as well. For drinks we tried the shikhye slush (shikhye is a Korean sweet rice drink dessert). They used a slushy shikhye base with warm cinnamon and ginger spices and pisco for a kick. Also tried the Sujinggwa manhattan which is sujunggwa (traditional Korean cinnamon ginger dessert tea served cold) and a single malt. This was fabulous. Overall fantastic experience. Fantastic food, cool ambiance's. And great service. Highly highly recommend this place!

Tables looked available around 5pm though so walk-ins could be possible. Ambiance: Outside was nice and inside looked dimly lit and romantic. We were seated promptly and service was good. Food: Rice slushy had a strangely strong cinnamon-like taste to it that traditional rice punch doesn't have which was so overpowering, it made it difficult to go back for more sips. Oysters - good though small, enjoyed the kelp mignonette Korean Aguachile - Delicate tilefish completely overwhelmed by cold kimchi broth with actual icy slush in it and small amounts of fish Steak Tartare - The hot stone bowl seemed to defeat the purpose of a tartare, as it cooked the steak once mixed. The perilla leaves were also cut in large strips relative to the beef. Chilled Acorn Noodle - The perilla oil was nonexistent in flavor though the dish didn't need it and was good without. Overall, portions were small for the price and dishes weren't well-executed so despite being excited for more Korean options in West LA, I'd much rather make the drive to Koreatown for better portions, prices, and flavors.

My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. I had placed a phone order, for pick up; upon arrival, I found the service was prompt. I saw my food ready to go, just past the main walk-in area. Almost immediately after that, I was taken care of by the host and on my way. I've been waiting to try this place for ages so on the drive back to work I was excited to steal a piece of meat from the bag. Initial bite flavor was good, meat was tender just a bit on the chewy side.. I wasn't bothered by it too much as I'd have to leave it in an oven warmer at work. Trying to keep food warm, in doing so, I knew there'd be only two possible outcomes, melting tender or either tough & dry. So, the dish of meat and rice sat in the warmer for almost an hour hour and a half. The downhill slope.... Set the "meat " on the veggies and began to eat. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. As go on, I get the sinking feeling, this can't be real meat. I lock in, the deeper I dig, each piece looks the same, broken apart the same, tastes the same, just various shapes. They can call me crazy for this one - I'll stand by it. Something is not right here. I'm not even going to throw it away. I'm going to study it for the next few days and post an updated review. I hope I'm wrong but as of right now, I'll never revisit this place. Too freaky of an experience. We

We had two separate servers because one went home during the middle of our dinner and both were equally horrible. Not even exaggerating when I say we waited at least 15 minutes after we asked for the check and there were probably only 10 tables in the entire restaurant. And we had to call her back over to ask for a second time. SMH. The food although flavorful was so ridiculously priced it was not even funny. I got a "ribeye ". Was literally eight thin slices of steak, like 1" x 1" size for $42! No, I will not be coming back here for so many reasons. The view is great. Castaways is definitely not what it used to be in the way of quality but at least you get more and you get the view. But definitely not worth it going to this place. It was quite a frustrating evening. Also, if you do decide to go here, just bring a coat when it's a little bit cooler in the evenings cause it does get cold up here and getting the staff to manage the heaters correctly is a whole other frustration. Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it
