Frank n Hanks is such a fun little hidden gem. It is a small tucked away bar with a cozy feel but still kept pretty clean inside, which I appreciated. The vibe is laid back and welcoming, and Spencer and Damon were incredible hosts who made the night even better with their friendliness. The bar has darts and a pool table which adds to the casual entertainment, and there are plenty of drink options with some really solid deals. Beers run about five to eight dollars and they even offer a five dollar mystery shot which makes things fun. Overall, it was a great night with good drinks, good people, and an atmosphere that makes you want to come back.

AC: our new favorite neighborhood bar. The beers are fair priced and the vibes are right! The darts were a nice touch and it wasn't too crowded but still rustlin and bustlin. The staff was also really nice and welcoming! AM: the charm of a dive bar with the cleanliness of a more established one, good selection of a beer, and nice layout for hangs. Dart board and pool table is CLUTCH. Great tunes and bartenders are groovin, shoutouts to one in the Philly jersey !

One of my favorite dive bars in town. Inexpensive drinks ($11 for my Ford's Gin 'n tonic) and excellent service from the bartenders. On a slow night Justin can easily keep up with drink orders while beating you at darts. Dodgers and Lakers games usually on the TVs. Last call at 1:30 am most nights. There's one scruffy pool table in the bar, one dart board, and the men's room has more graffiti than most men's rooms. It gets packed Thursdays through Saturdays. Plenty of friendly people in the bar. Very diverse crowd. One night as I was walking up, a woman stumbled out and threw up right at the entrance. Everyone just stepped over it to get in. The only thing this place is missing is good bar food, but you're welcome to bring your own. Monty's is next door where you can get a good plant-based burger, or you can go across the street to Carl's Jr and get a Star Burger for half the price. Loads of excellent Korean food nearby. It would be nice if someone opened a taco stand in the parking lot at the corner. No parking, of course, and this part of K-Town can be tough to find a spot. Best to Uber/Lyft anyway. Have a good time here! Cheers!

Frank & Hank is a venerable dive bar next to Monty's Good Burger near the Wilshire district. The friendly bar-t told me that F&H may date back to the 1930's so Frank and Hank are long gone. Also mentioned their children are now getting on in years. F&H has gone through a series of owners including an F&H waitress.    I was parked in front on the way back from Kinn, a great Modern Korean Cuisine restaurant about a block away. So I wanted a creamy dessert drink like Bailey's Irish Cream.  Like a true dive bar, they only had this lousy "creamy" coffee liqueur that must have been sitting around since the bar opened 90 years ago. I guess sticking with hard liquors and beers is the way to go.  By 9pm the music starts cranking up to create a "party hearty" mood so high tailed it out of there. Not too many classic dive bars that still look like the original left in L.A.  Hollywood Frolic Room, which is much classier, comes to mind.   3+ stars.

Pool table was fun... but there's only one. One is better than none. :) #fun

Service n ambiance were the highlights of my time there! I would go back. It's a dive so expect all the divey characteristics of a dive.

As far as dive bar vibes... Frank N Hanks comes alive! This tiny tavern of music, mayhem and more offers everything you'd expect at a whole in the wall joint in the middle of Koreatown including amazing prices on brews, booze and cocktails. Have passed by a few times on my way to Monty's Good Burger just next door but have popped in for a pint or two and chill vibes including that of the bartenders, Frank N Hanks patrons and even securityas well, they obviously card. Parking in the area is find it and grab it with some lots here and there. I usually take the LA Metro Purple Line from Wilshire/Western over and just stroll down Western (about a quick five minute). Enjoy some billiards or some bass (via the tunes)... and enjoy the comforts of F n H.

Danger zone: $8 Jamesons, $5 Whiteclaw and Bud Light

Given it took me 20 hours recover from time spent here last night, I'd say fun times are definitely had at this bar. Popped over here randomly with some friends after dinner and dug the cozy dive bar vibe and mellow bartenders. Attentive, no attitude. We really liked Justin who tended to us most of the night, keeping the drinks flowing. Drinks are decently-priced, based on my receipt that fell out of my purse this morning: $5 Bud Light, $6 Guinness, $8 Jameson, $5 Whiteclaw...were what got us all significantly lit. There's a jukebox, pool table, and some room to move, as well as a fairly clean bathroom, so it's dive bar without being gross dive bar. We noticed a younger crowd, but still had a great time. Also, I'll work to submit a change but they DO accept credit cards.

Amazing dive bar, had a blast singing along to some My Chemical Romans with the bartender, 100/10 no notes.

Chill bar to hang out when you're on the waitlist for one of the popular ktown restaurants next door. Plus they have a pool table.

The food was delicious! The space is small but the bar next door allows you to bring their food in - which was awesome

Is there a DJ on the wknd? Any dancing going on? Haha Thx!

No DJs. There's a jukebox, darts and a pool table, not much room for dancing as the place is fairly small.

Snow is lovely; don't think I've ever seen anyone else behind the bar, but she's got it under control.

The decor is retro and glitzy and makes you feel like you are stepping back in time into a world of neon. There was a decent amount of people there for a Thursday afternoon, but the noise level wasn't too loud. We could have conversations at a normal volume and not have to yell over each other. The bartender was very personable and able to keep up with everyone and didn't leave anyone waiting to get a drink. The jukebox is loaded with most every song you could want and we played our favorites in preparation for the concert.

This is a dive bar with a solid drinks selection. My wife ordered a Coke since she wasn't in the mood for anything alcoholic. There were some interesting characters day drinking, and it was great people-watching with lots of regulars. The interactions were priceless. The bartender asked a regular if he'd left his helmet, and when he showed it to him, the regular quipped, "My head is bigger." The helmet looked like a kid's size, and the guy did have a small head. It was a funny interaction in a room full of characters, like something out of "A Confederacy of Dunces." The bouncer checking IDs outside, sporting a Santa hat, noticed my wife's upcoming birthday and wished her a happy birthday. It was a really nice touch! We will definitely be back for drinks and to people-watch the interesting characters!

I would definitely get this again. There's so many tacos and burritos to choose from. We ended up getting the Taco Trio which was $12. Our favorite was the brisket. We chose the trio for the value but next time we would try the more extravagant tacos for a little bit more. The asian fried chicken burrito was the most surprising (in a good way). It had a little kick to it because of the fresno chiles. So if you like spicy and some crunch, this is for you. It is on the heavier side so you can split it with two people. Got some red velvet churros for dessert. My wife thought the homemade cream cheese frosting was kind of sweet, but i like it that way so I ate the whole thing. This is a great, casual date night spot or place to grab some shareables and drinks.

When we arrived, we were told that our seating options were limited because of reservations for tables from Paramount people. ( there were many empty tables which left me perplexed)... I know on the Friday before Memorial Day there is a mass exit, but he was resolute! He offered us a claustrophobic option that was unacceptable, but, we found a suitable table right by the door. We were there until 1:45p, and the reserved tables were without people sitting in them. I approached him after my friend left and let him know I WAS RIGHT ;)))! Anyway, the ahi bowl needed some extra sauce and was a bit dry. Luckily, I had eaten a lot of their deliciousness guacamole with "new chips" that were perfect. We both took our leftovers home ... I absolutely respect our bartender's sticking to the protocol of "reservations "... however, sometimes one has to read the room. It was basically empty with just a few customers inside. Of course I will return ... Just had to say something... Highly recommended... maybe next time WE WILL MAKE A RESERVATION ;)))) Street parking is challenging but, again, I park down Larchmont and always find a spot...
