    Spicy Sausage Stew (Army Stew)

This place is your typical solid pocha in Koreatown with really cozy outdoor seating. Service + food is as expected, and pricing is reasonable. Another nice perk is that they have on-site parking , however street parking is relatively doable. However, what makes them stand out compared to other spots is that they have karaoke rooms! You're going to regret not making that a part of your night out.

Came here with a group for dinner and karaoke. We ordered the duck BBQ and the pork belly. The duck was very tender and juicy, and when we used the rendered duck fat to make fried rice at the table, it added a rich, savory finish that really elevated the dish. The pork belly had good flavor and paired well with the rice and sides. The restaurant is set up for groups with enough space at the tables to cook your own meat comfortably. Service was attentive, checking in to refill drinks and clear plates when needed. It's easy to move from dinner into karaoke without feeling rushed, so it works well for a full night out with friends!

I wanted to meet with some of my friends in Koreatown for karaoke and dinner. One of my friends suggested going to Joo Pocha which has food as well as karaoke as a complete package. Joo Pocha is both a semi outdoor, semi indoor restaurant, as well as a karaoke lounge. We reserved a karaoke room and also got dinner there. I arrived fairly early to our reservation. The dining area is in a tent with heat lamps, but fortunately the karaoke rooms themselves are fully indoors. The staff are nice, and the food came out at a reasonable pace. The food at karaoke establishments tends to be a bit on the pricier side. We ended up getting nurungji, rabokki, and buldak chicken, as well as some fried chicken wings. The nurungji, which was a seafood stew with crispy rice, was the highlight of my meal. It was a bit challenging for me to eat there as every dish we got was spicy. So there was a lot of spice and not much to balance the spiciness. But the rabokki was good and the spicy chicken with cheese was good. I couldn't eat too much though because I don't have the best spice tolerance. Nonetheless, the food was solid and it was a fun place to do karaoke.

Clam Soup My favorite with soju

Visiting K town from out of state- as it was past stomping grounds back in the day. I was craving for some soul food and soju at pocha/ pojangmacha (outside tented bar, traditionally on the wheel but it evolved to just big tent) Joo pocha was just the right place! Venue: sever outside booth inside the tent. Pretty spacious. They have norebang/ karaoke too which is a perfect combination just in case you want to extend the fun. Food: well I only tried clam soup as it is one of the signature food with soju. Since I had dinner right before coming here, I just needed something light. The soup was very clean- traditional - spicy (black pepper), savory. You can eat it with rice or just as a chaser for soju. A table next to me was eating kbbq which I want to try next time. Service: servers were super nice and very eager to help. Price: just right. Would recommend for food and drinks. Traditional Korean bar food/ kbbq

Too many good things to say about this place. I celebrated my thirtieth birthday here with 15 friends in the party room and the service was AMAZING and omg the food exceeded everyone's expectations! I got to decorate and they even gave me glow sticks and another end of night goodie. We didn't know this till later but they even had an outside dinner table prepared for us aside from the party room ($100 an hour no food minimum) super easy to book over the phone and they don't charge you for a cake either. The only suggestions I have is that they only offered water bottles for the party and not water pitchers so we had to pay for those. I am so glad I celebrated here, I was almost going to do "the venue" but this spot was amazing. There is a parking lot in the rear but there wasn't many spots available at the time so we just paid $4 for the validation. There was good song options, figuring out the keypad was a small learning curve but we got it down. If you're considering Joo pocha to host your party, do it!! I was hesitant because there wasn't much information for group parties on Yelp, but my whole group and myself were very impressed!

The staff here were absolutely fantastic. Each and every employee were super helpful and made our birthday party celebration an absolute blast!!! The ambiance was spectacular. The manager decorated the room with balloons banners and other festivities to make the karaoke room even more special! The food was 10/10. The fried chicken was cooked to perfection and the soups and ramen were well spiced. Beware, the portion sizes are HUGE. Highly HIGHLY recommend you visit this spot! Best part, the valet parking was only $4 for all night!

This is one of my go-to bars, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently delicious, making it a great spot not just for drinks but also for a proper meal. The highballs are the highlight here .perfectly balanced and incredibly smooth. They're honestly a standout and a must-try. If you're someone who truly enjoys well-made drinks, especially highballs, this place will not disappoint.Overall, it's an excellent spot for drink lovers who appreciate good food, quality cocktails, and a well-executed bar experience.

Fantastic service and better than expected food. Alot of karaoke rooms too. I thought the pork was too thin for me, but that's ok because it's really just a preference here. I would just get the thicker cut personally. Alot of people come at like 730ish so if you get here when they open, you can get the package and time pretty set.

Our family of 11 met for karaoke and then had dinner in there outside patio. The room was perfect for our group. The Karaoke rooms are indoors and the restaurant is outside in a tent with heat lamps. The staff was very accommodating. Organizing songs was very easy and there were 2 microphones. We brought along some party props which increased the fun. We initially thought we would eat while doing karaoke, but immediately realized this would be difficult. We had drinks during karaoke and then had dinner after on their patio after we finished. The food was delicious and I recommend to others looking for Korean BBQ. We had the Army Soup, Clam Soup, kimchi rice, chicken kabobs, asparagus kabobs, and pork belly both thin and thick. The price was also reasonable. My first time having soju, it was delicious. Unfortunately I did not get pictures of the food.

I had such a fun time at Joopocha. The staff are incredibly nice like, genuinely some of the friendliest people I've come across. Super fast, super accommodating, and always checking in to make sure everything is good. That kind of energy made the whole vibe feel warm. The pocha atmosphere was casual, fun, and perfect for a night of drinking and hanging out. And the karaoke setup in the back was so nice. It was clean, simple, and so fun to head in there after a few drinks. Prices were reasonable too. Overall, it was one of the best pocha-style nights I've had in a while. The food wasn't amazing, but I honestly didn't care because the staff and the vibe totally made up for it. I'd definitely go back just for the atmosphere and service.

First time going and I had an amazing experience, good service and quality of food. We did the bbq with the frozen pork belly and since we didn't really know what we were doing we got some help with very friendly and outgoing staff even gave up tips on how to enhance our food.We went for a late dinner and it was what we definitely needed after a night of drinking will come back. They did have parking in the back also it's nice you have 2 options to exit which was helpful since we were ubering. We wanna come back with friends and try the karaoke (: recommend a nice place to hangout while painting the town red or just a place to eat.

Delicious korean food, really great for big groups! Spicy chicken with cheese, spice level 2 (out of 3): good flavor, a bit too much oil, but overall yummy. Popcorn chicken with green onion: delicious and crispy! Comes with a sweet wasabi sauce, not my thing but a nice balance of flavor. Recommend. Seafood pancake: SO GOOD. Highly recommend. Just a solid batter and well cooked seafood, great flavor and sauce. Kimchi Fried rice with cheese: really yummy! The cheese compliments it super well too. Recommend. The service was really good, really kind waiters and fast service. Gave me extra rice for free, provided aprons when they saw we needed it, took out trash immediately, just really attentive. All outdoor seating with fairy lights and some fans at your table for the summer heat. They have sports playing on a projector, a welcoming vibe, and upbeat music playing.

Our favorite Korean food restaurant! Me and my friends, family and my dog , we love Joopocha! Delicious food, fast service! We've been coming here for years they always take good care of us! Definitely recommend! ( try the kimchi fried rice and pork belly )

I had placed a phone order, for pick up; upon arrival, I found the service was prompt. I saw my food ready to go, just past the main walk-in area. Almost immediately after that, I was taken care of by the host and on my way. I've been waiting to try this place for ages so on the drive back to work I was excited to steal a piece of meat from the bag. Initial bite flavor was good, meat was tender just a bit on the chewy side.. I wasn't bothered by it too much as I'd have to leave it in an oven warmer at work. Trying to keep food warm, in doing so, I knew there'd be only two possible outcomes, melting tender or either tough & dry. So, the dish of meat and rice sat in the warmer for almost an hour hour and a half. The downhill slope.... Set the "meat " on the veggies and began to eat. Meat after meat, I kept experiencing the same exact texture. It was the same exact rubbery chew, I initially tasted. Each and every piece was the same exact flavor. There was no peak, there was no pitfall. If you cook or grill, you know this is a red flag. Normally, consistency would be a good thing, a Master craftsman type experience, but this was NOT it. To start, maybe my expectations were a bit high, but I was surprised that no banchan (side dishes) were served. That's usually something I look forward to at Korean restaurants, so it felt like something was missing. We ordered the kimchi pancake and the stir-fried kimchi with pork belly. The kimchi pancake was a bit too oily, and we had to cut it ourselves, which made it a little less enjoyable. The pork belly itself was decent, but it felt like you had to order additional items like tofu or fried rice to make it a more complete dish. It was also pretty uncomfortable inside--the space felt really hot, especially since the food was being cooked right in front of us on a portable stove. It didn't seem like the AC was on or working well, which made the experience less enjoyable overall. The bar staff know what they are doing and they are welcoming, chatty and chill. It feels like they actually want you there! My wife and I already love to swing by for a couple of post dinner drinks but we'll be back for some game day fun too - they have a bunch of screens. They don't do food BUT the couple who now own Her Little Bar also own a bunch of the restaurants nearby (Her Thai, Met Him At A Bar, and the recently opened The Night We Met). There are other great options too and whatever you go for, you can eat it in the bar. There's a good selection of drinks and the cocktails are solid. We already have a solid pub/microbrewery but this is a great bar with a different vibe. A bar has been in this location for years but we really love this new incarnation. The corridor between Wilshire Blvd and W 9th is becoming a great pocket for food and drink with good people looking for BS free good times and the Her Little Bar crowd, staff and management are a great example that. A welcome addition to the neighborhood.

They had a good selection of beers and my friends got their cocktails done perfectly. There was maybe one to two other people in this bar when we walked in. We had a booth all to ourselves. A good night at a solid bar in the neighborhood. I was a local, I'd be here more often.
