The homemade tacos were worth a trip and for two dollars each I will be coming back for this Tuesday special. I was saddened the area with pool tables etc. was closed off (maybe due to it being slow?). Anyways, dope place to come grab drinks and try out a meal (or tacos). Delish. 8/10 for food... 4/10 for service. When I asked the food server if she could get me a glass of water, she told me to ask the bartender who took my order so I did & then the bartender told me there's only bottled water available (for sale).. because I brought my own bottle I decided I'll just drink out of my own. Honestly I was just trying to get some ice water to wash down the spicy salsa that came with the tacos...(bomb) and not be drinking out of a bottle when I could be drinking out of a glass

Food is great here and the drinks I ordered were all very tasty and not over powering. Good spot to hang before a game. Bre was really attentive and helpful.

The Miche Spot is hands down one of my favorite places to kick back with good food and great drinks! From the start, our waitress Martha was amazing! She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel completely taken care of. We had tacos, tortas, wings, and the Chuper Queso Fundido (a must-try) that had the perfect crunch and spice. And of course...the drinks! The mango michelada was refreshing, the spiked horchata was like dessert with a kick, and the cucumber mint and strawberry margaritas were perfect. Between the welcoming vibe, top-notch service, and food + drinks that always deliver, The Miche Spot is definitely the go-to hangout with family and friends. Can't wait for the next round!

Me and my partner live super close and are so lucky to have la Chuperia!! The food is amazing, specifically the street tacos and the wings! We love coming to watch games, and are so excited for the World Cup because we will be here all the time. The staff is incredibly nice and take such good care of you. Very clean and lively atmosphere. The drinks are extremely well priced and they always have deals. The raspberry mint margarita is my fav

Great micheladas! Full bar now! Love how you can play music on the e-jukebox. They sell food. Marcos is great!

This place is relaxed, cool, and my server Itzel is attentive and she helped recommend drinks when I was indecisive. I had the guacamole, it's a good appetizer to have as you're drinking. I really like the lotería decor, the music doesn't miss but there's also a jukebox incase. Another cool addition is that there's a pool table in the back if you like to drink and play pool. I would recommend. CHEERS!! APROVECHO

$7.99 micheladas on Wednesdays! It was a very good deal and such a great place to have some drinks and play pool

I think I'm in LOVE, but I could just be full of tacos and margaritas. Initial Impression: This place is very low-key from the outside. But this is CLEARLY a party on the inside. I want to come here on a Friday/Saturday and get some Latin Vibes. The staff is extremely kind and has great energy (shout out to Stephanie). Service: We were greeted immediately upon arrival, which I love. It was pretty quiet for a sunny Tuesday afternoon, honestly there should be far more people in there for a $2 Taco Tuesday! We were able to seat immediately and the place was spotless. I only had about an hour for lunch and we were able to get in and out within that time. I had the Baja-style fish tacos and my God yes. I need an entire basket of those. I could eat them regularly. Perfectly battered and crispy, the sauce was tasty and the salsas made it pop. I also want to drown myself in the Mango Margaritas with the Chamoy rim. Overall: I'm already plotting my next excursion to La Chuperia. Perfect lunch break! Excellent service, great music, and delicious food. La Chuperia hit all the boxes and I'm hoping to be back very soon!

The type of bar you choose is important. But sometimes, the Bar Chooses You! Bar Magnolia quietly enters the chat. It was October 11th, 2025 and my wife & I just checked into Hotel Figueroa in DTLA. (EPIC REVIEW Coming Soon!!!) While we were waiting for our room to be ready, we decided to check out the Hotel Bar Lounge... First thought, Color me Impressed! High ceilings, Natural lighting, classy decor, comfy couches... Yeah, take your time with that room, we'll wait! We were able to get a seat on the coach and order drinks from the bar relatively quickly. Prices were pretty typical of LA ($18-25 a cocktail) but I would say I probably won't come back this late as it's in a shadier part of town. They have a bouncer and it was fine inside, but it's not a place where you can bar hop if that's what you're looking for as the area is seedy. Would be interested to try the food next time, but again, the safety and comfort of the light of day.

NOVEMBER 26.2025…read more I've been through many iterations of The Library Bar over the years... from small and cozy secret bar for those that work in the looming skyscrapers of Downtown LA to being some noisy urban hip hop affair that served godawful drinks (see my past review!), and on back to being a calm and casual neighborhood bar again. The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. The music at this current Library Bar is pretty much on point and is never so loud as to interfere with the conversations that patrons seem to come here for... something you should come here for too, and maybe at Happy Hour specifically if you're looking for a nice bump in your day and to spend an hour, well, happily.

To start, maybe my expectations were a bit high, but I was surprised that no banchan (side dishes) were served. The kimchi pancake was a bit too oily, and we had to cut it ourselves, which made it a little less enjoyable. The pork belly itself was decent, but it felt like you had to order additional items like tofu or fried rice to make it a more complete dish. It was also pretty uncomfortable inside--the space felt really hot, especially since the food was being cooked right in front of us on a portable stove. It didn't seem like the AC was on or working well, which made the experience less enjoyable overall. Considering the overall experience, the pricing felt a bit high for the level of service and quality provided.
