I've been to Mariscos Maria's a couple of times with my friends and so far I've enjoyed their seafood and friendly staff service. The shrimp cocktail is delicious and so are the aguachiles. I'll be visiting again with more company to enjoy the yummy Mariscos. read more

We ordered takeout from Mariscos Maria's the other day, and it did not disappoint. I wanted something light but filling, so I went with the shrimp tacos. They were fresh and delicious! The sauces came on the side, so you can choose exactly how much (or how little) to add. The presentation was thoughtful and done with care -- everything was neatly packed and didn't spill. Service was friendly and food was good but the parking is extremely limited. A real small restaurant maybe can fit 40 people inside but they have tables outside for another 30 people. It's very loud inside with music and big television that you can see but not hear with the loud music. As far as seafood selections they have it all. Hope it's fresh they do have an A from LA COUNTY . I'd have to say the parking is horrendous as the Yoshinoya has man that won't let you even use two parking spots and there is literally a full parking spot of 6 cars for Mariscos Maria's. Take out is an option if you don't want to park on the street. LA parking is always limited near the 10'freeway. read more

SO GOOD Got the ceviche de Camaron. I thought two wouldn't be enough but they're BIG and delicious, I only finished one. When we were local we use to como to Mariscos Marias often. The food quality, the service and the prices were good. When we moved we still came to eat here a few times a year. We came back this year after a while and I was sadly disappointed. On the good side the service was excellent as always, and now they are able to sell alcohol drinks. On the negative side, the little area where the owner sets has always look like a very dirty, unorganized gym/home office, that needs a lot of improvement, specially because is a Restaurant. The food quality went down. I ordered the Marias plate; how can you go wrong with carne azada, chicken and shrimp? And how do you mess up a plain hamburger? My bill for 5 people was about $180 plus tip. Definitely not worth it. Sadly I don't think i would ever go back. This is by far the best Marciscos spot in LA. The staff is very friendly and they provide quick service. They make you feel like family at this restaurant. The delay in bringing us our food was a little annoying because Uber eats drivers kept coming &picking up orders so I'm assuming that's what was being prioritized. The food however, could have been better. My little one had a pollo a la plancha &it was not what as a customer I was expecting for my child to eat. Kick was not overbearing so you could still enjoy the flavor. Michelada is literally one of the best I've ever tried. I've come here a couple of times. Today, July 26, at 8:30 PM, we've had the worst service. There are two waitresses an older and younger one. The older woman was our waitress. She was the worst. When she took our order she was looking in another direction when we were giving her our drink order. I had to say hello. Once our order came to table she literally never came back. We needed water and lemon. My sister had to share water with my mom. We ended up calling over another waitress. Our waitress never came back! What kind of service is this. She needs to get checked. To begin with the parking is bad. The service is okay. The place itself is really cute, it is a nice place to have a drink and food with friends. The music is a little loud but you are able to hold a conversation. The food is really great But they are a little greedy with the molcajete since it is filled with a bunch of imitation crab and potatoes. Went here based on reviews, and because it was one of the few mariscos places open late. The place was pretty lit when we walked in. They had Spanish music playing, tables were almost all full, Dodger game was on TV and everyone was having a good time. Found a seat in the corner near bathroom. Tables and chairs were covered in leather or some leather like material and were somewhat sticky and very dingy/dirty. Ordered a large shrimp cocktail which came out looking yummy, but I was disappointed. The cocktail was very sweet. Added lots of salt, lemon, and hot sauce, but it did not help. I ended up picking out the shrimp and avocado and eating it on a tostada. It did however have lots of shrimp. I also got a grilled fish taco, it was whatev. Had lettuce I like mine with cabbage.
