Just perfect timing from me across the street, and having my tires looked at because they were low so I grabbed my bag and I got to work. I opened up everything and wow, it's the best caldo de res I've ever had. The flavor was amazing. I am super loving. I will be back and I know that they're popular. I saw how they were you know cleaning and putting out the outside area and making it all ready for consumers. I'm grateful that they took me even though they weren't open. I'd have to say the parking is horrendous as the Yoshinoya has man that won't let you even use two parking spots and there is literally a full parking spot of 6 cars for Mariscos Maria's. When we were local we use to como to Mariscos Marias often. The food quality, the service and the prices were good. When we moved we still came to eat here a few times a year. We came back this year after a while and I was sadly disappointed. On the good side the service was excellent as always, and now they are able to sell alcohol drinks. On the negative side, the little area where the owner sets has always look like a very dirty, unorganized gym/home office, that needs a lot of improvement, specially because is a Restaurant. The food quality went down. I ordered the Marias plate; how can you go wrong with carne azada, chicken and shrimp? And how do you mess up a plain hamburger? My bill for 5 people was about $180 plus tip. Definitely not worth it. Sadly I don't think i would ever go back. Amazing food! Had the molcajete, aguachiles and a michelada. Molcajete had a great portion of food and was super tasty. Aguachiles were lemony and flavorful with a slight kick. Kick was not overbearing so you could still enjoy the flavor. Michelada is literally one of the best I've ever tried. Other places make it too spicy where it's not enjoyable and it gives you heartburn, this place had the perfect flavor. The service was great, checked up on us and made us feel very welcomed. I've come here a couple of times. Today, July 26, at 8:30 PM, we've had the worst service. There are two waitresses an older and younger one. The older woman was our waitress. She was the worst. When she took our order she was looking in another direction when we were giving her our drink order. I had to say hello. Once our order came to table she literally never came back. We needed water and lemon. My sister had to share water with my mom. We ended up calling over another waitress. Our waitress never came back! What kind of service is this. She needs to get checked.
