$400 para que puedan darte la mitad de una sartén grande de aluminio llena de pepino y cebolla. Este lugar definitivamente me ha derrotado. No tengo palabras para explicar estas miserias. $400 so they can give you half of an large aluminum pan full of cucumber and onions. This place has definitely defeated me. I have no word to explained these miseries.

Pulpo zarandeado is very good and cooked to perfection.

Great service and food. Food is always delicious and fresh. Me and my family enjoy coming here as we feel so welcomed by all the staff, makes us feel like home. Beer specials and happy hour is a must.

Service was friendly and food was good but the parking is extremely limited. A real small restaurant maybe can fit 40 people inside but they have tables outside for another 30 people. It's very loud inside with music and big television that you can see but not hear with the loud music. As far as seafood selections they have it all. Hope it's fresh they do have an A from LA COUNTY . I'd have to say the parking is horrendous as the Yoshinoya has man that won't let you even use two parking spots and there is literally a full parking spot of 6 cars for Mariscos Maria's. Take out is an option if you don't want to park on the street. LA parking is always limited near the 10'freeway.

I love that they had options galore for hot sauces! I got the aguachiles which is basically lime cured shrimp and it was good for the most part. I wish it was more spicy tho.

Super hot inside the restaurant when I walked into get my order. Definitely not appealing on a hot summer day. Got the ceviche de pescado and both tostadas had no fish whatsoever. Very disappointed on how much it cost. They provided me with 5 extra tostadas but no reason for them since there was no ceviche. Best thing was the salsa and chips... thank you!

SO GOOD Got the ceviche de Camaron. I thought two wouldn't be enough but they're BIG and delicious, I only finished one. The picture doesn't really show it- but they give you a lot of ceviche, tostada was heavy. Drinks were affordable and the inside was cute too! Service was also fast! Good place to go with friends or family

I usually love this place because service is good the ladies are always nice and the food is good and because of my uncle he comes here ..but I feel scammed out..bought a Large camarón y pulpo cóctel and it came out to be $21.29. The cup didn't even look large like how other mariscos place be giving out and it was mostly filled with juice, tomatoes and onion..hardly any shrimp and octopus... do better for better price please.. consistency is key Felt like returning it but whatever..

The flavors, the presentation, the freshness, the quality and the price are all there! We've gotten the mojarra, the garlic shrimp, the ceviche de pescado and the tacos, even the typical Mexican dishes and breakfasts! Flavor is always there in each bite. Grateful to have you guys in my neighborhood !

Fresh and Flavorful Seafood I've visited this seafood spot…read moretwice recently, and both times the food was fresh and flavorful. The shrimp cocktail was especially good, with generously sized shrimp and a tasty cocktail sauce. My order had 14 shrimp, which felt like a fair portion for the price. It came with three tostadas, though only one hot sauce packet was included. That's a minor detail, but I would have appreciated extra packets. Good Value Seafood isn't cheap, but the prices here seem reasonable. They also offer weekday lunch specials that make items like the shrimp cocktail an even better deal. The campechana is another solid option and worth trying. Small Neighborhood Spot The restaurant itself is small, but there always seem to be customers inside, which says a lot. I also like that they decorate for holidays...it gives the place a welcoming neighborhood feel. Pickup Experience I've only ordered takeout, and my food has been ready quickly both times. Service was decent overall, although there was a brief moment during my last visit where I wasn't acknowledged right away while waiting for my order. Overall If you're craving a good shrimp cocktail or campechana, this local spot is worth checking out. Fresh seafood, fair prices, and a convenient neighborhood location make it a place I'll be visiting again.

The King Salmon Roll is exceptional and the cookie and ice cream desert amazing. If you are lucky enough to be seated where Chris is your server, you will feel like both family and royalty. We started with the oyster sampler featuring selections from Hollywood, MD; Pope's Bay, VA; Buzzards Bay, MA; Chesapeake Bay, VA; and Wellfleet, MA. The oysters were exceptionally fresh and served with great accompaniments. We always order oysters when visiting seafood restaurants because freshness is so important to us, and Water Grill absolutely delivered. A must-order. The grilled Spanish octopus, served with fingerling potatoes, Niçoise olives, roasted tomato, pine nuts, and olive oil, was very good (3.5/5). We're fairly picky when it comes to octopus, and while we would have liked a bit more char, it was still among the better versions we've had. The New Zealand king salmon sushi with avocado, hazelnuts, papaya, and white soy-lime vinaigrette was fresh, clean, and delicious (5/5). While not particularly unique, it was executed perfectly. The crispy calamari with harissa aioli and cilantro-mint sweet chili sauce was also well done (4/5)--crispy, not oily, and very enjoyable. Calamari is another dish we frequently order, and this version met our standards, even if it wasn't especially memorable. The standout among the appetizers was the New Zealand pink bream ceviche with cilantro, red peppers, onions, lemon juice, and olive oil. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were incredibly fresh (5/5). We only added a touch of salt. This is another must-order dish. The Peruvian bay scallops with pistachio citrus pesto were somewhat underwhelming (3/5), and the Brussels sprouts with bacon and chestnuts (3/5) didn't leave much of an impression either. The lobster itself was excellent (5/5)--sweet, fresh, and perfectly prepared. The accompanying coleslaw wasn't our favorite, but we'd happily order the lobster again and probably go for a larger portion next time. The absolute star of the evening was the Massachusetts black sea bass. It was easily one of the best dishes of the night and possibly one of the best fish dishes we've ever had at a restaurant (5/5). Tender, juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. To top it all off, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert featuring chocolate cake, vanilla cake, oatmeal cake, and ice cream. It was thoughtful, delicious, and a wonderful ending to the meal (5/5). Overall, Water Grill earns a well-deserved 5/5. The quality and freshness of the seafood were outstanding, the beachfront ambiance was beautiful, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the evening. Definitely a must-try seafood destination in Los Angeles. Thank you to the entire team for such a memorable experience--we truly appreciated it.

If you have a minute, I'd like to share a story:…read more I've been meaning to try this place for years, ever since I read their opening in the LA Times. In the article, they mentioned that they had a sandwhich in homage to Pok Pok, a legendary Thai place in Portland that was famous for their fish sauce chicken wings. Unfortunately, this sandwhich was only offered on the weekday lunch menu, which stymied my efforts to try it. In my mind, what I was expecting was a piece of fried chicken coated in the same sauce that Pok Pok was known for, turned into sandwhich form. The "Bring back pok pok" is not that. Which was a disappointment for all of 10 seconds. While the sandwhich was not what I was expecting, it was still excellent on its own merits. It's a fried chicken sandwhich but instead of lettuce and tomatoes, they've used some sort of dried pepper spread, thai basil (I think) and jalopenos). It reminded me more of a bahn mi. It's a flavor profile that works well. I tried a piece of my friends fried catfish, and it was similarly good. The catish was flaky without being dry, and not only was the breading well seasoned, but it was still crispy at the end of the meal. The only thing a little underwhelming was the cornbread. It wasn't bad, but it didn't feel like it did anything noteworthy, and ours could have used a bit more butter (or maybe some more salt). Our server was great, though it was easy for him since we were the only customers for a long while! Still he was easy to talk to and I appreciated how he kept stopping by to fill up our water (they use tiny glasses). The inside has nice "upscale casual" vibes. If I worked in downtown, I could see myself coming here after work. Overall, a pleasant surprise.
