Their chicken taquitos have toothpicks in them and they're quesadillas have pieces of bone their chicken is burnt and to top it off when you try to hold them accountable you get screamed at by the bitch who claims to be a manager so stay away from this place if you can, there is far better peruvian spots in the area. The managers are all on minimum wage slave trips as they like to scream at their customers.

Love this place! Food tastes like you are eating in your mom's kitchen! Everything is cooked to perfection along with an amazing presentation in every dish! We came here to eat and I asked the manager if he can put the Laker game on and he went out of his way to install Amazon prime and made it happen! After a long days work this definitely made my day!

Let me start with saying WOW!! The Lomo Saltado was seasoned to perfection! I went during the lunch hour rush and the food turnaround was still faster than other less busy restaurants. What really stood out was the balance between quality and value. Portions are generous, and you can tell they don't cut corners on ingredients. Only draw back is if you dine in, you can't have refills and you have to go up, wait in line, and pay for another drink.

DELICIOUS! My whole meal was delicious, I definitely plan to come back! I tried their chicken sandwich with fries and I'm obsessed with their sauce!

First time to Caveman Kitchen. Will not be my last. Second, it's close to work. First, because I enjoyed it. A lot. I didn't enjoy the parking. I showed up after work and ended up parking down the block. I thought I might have to do a few laps around the neighborhood but lucked out and caught someone taking off from a spot my car fits. If you know me, I don't have Zoey anymore. My new ride, Caleb doesn't fit everywhere. There are spots in the plaza where the restaurant is, but when I pulled in, nothing was available. Walk in, order and find a seat. I got there early so I had to order a few times as I didn't know when my party would arrive. Not a big deal but just know it's not like you get a bill for the table and just add to it. Get up and order, get your number and everything will be brought out to you. Though not quite full service, the staff is friendly AF. If you need anything, just ask. Also really helpful and I appreciate that when I did order, one of the counter staff told me to order the dessert and let her know when I was ready to avoid having to place another order. I really enjoyed the food. The Mariscos Saltado hit the spot. Along with the Plantains for appetizers and for dessert. See pics. I even had their "Caveman" beer. Sorta like Pacifico but a full bodied and went well to kick off the three days weekend (went last Friday). Dining are can get a little loud with the music then adding the people. So, don't go hoping to have intimate conversations. Go there to eat. Eat well. Like I did.

My friend and I tried the lomo saltado--he got chicken, I went with beef--and both were delicious. The salsa was fantastic and really added a great kick. Service was friendly and attentive too.

I would really give this 3.5 stars. I ordered the popular Lomo Saltado and it was just okay. I felt like the meat needed more flavor. It came with rice but no beans. The sauce was really good, just needed the meat to taste like the sauce and it would have been much better. Also I felt there was way more fries in it than actual meat. But not bad. I just wouldn't get it again. Shopping center parking.

Ayoooo! Back at it again at Caveman Kitchen for their iconic Lomo Saltado. It's one of the best in LA, reasonably priced and delicious AF. It's a cool lil spot where you can catch a game. Quick service, parking lot and cards accepted. Try out this lil Gem!

Bomb.com! We get the steak lomo saltado and the chicken taquitos dorados! Super flavorful, my toddler is a picky eater and he loved the beans the taquitos plate comes with!

The restaurant is very lively and welcoming! We ordered as soon as we got there because we wanted to try the Lomo saltado and it came out almost right away even though it was a Saturday night. The portion is very generous and it was very good. The meat is pretty good and the green sauce is spicy but adds a nice flavor to the food. I would definitely come again!

Everything was delicious. Their horchata was authentic. We had the lomo saltado, Pollo al mojo, and bistec criollo. Service was quick and well worth the price.

Been coming to caveman kitchen on and off for years. The food never misses, whether it's one of the sandwiches or saltado dishes. The service is nothing special, just a walk up and order kiosk, but the staff does a good job of checking in periodically on everything. They're always playing some sort of sporting event on the TVs. Parking can be a little hectic at times due to other restaurants in the plaza, but thankfully they have an attendant that relieves some of the pressure.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

Influencers can be seen taking photos and recording videos, adding to the vibrant atmosphere and colorful design throughout the space. It's a lively spot to dine, connect with friends, and truly enjoy a fun night out. A decent cocktail, mocktail, bubbles, and wine selection with a Happy Hour menu available on game nights. The food is flavorful and slightly on the spicy side. We enjoyed the empanadas as the crust was one of the best I have ever had; the filling was tasty, but the wagyu beef did not shine through. The lobster tallarin was well prepared as the spaghetti was perfectly al dente. Don't be disappointed as there are no lobster pieces, only shrimp. The lomo saltado had generous pieces of beef; however, the filet pieces weren't tender because they were overcooked. A strawberry cheesecake was gifted to us for dessert to celebrate our event. It was dense and filled with the perfect touch of sweetness. After our meal, we ventured to the poolside bar with an awesome DJ, bar, and views of the city. Fun place, fun night!

~ ALL LOOKS, NO SERVICE, BIG REGRET ~…read more Reviews looked good on yelp so my group opted to have an early dinner here, but wow... this was one of the most disappointing and uncomfortable dining experiences I've had in a long time. We came in around 5:30pm on a Saturday and the restaurant was literally empty. That should've been our first clue. We were seated and then completely ignored for about 25 minutes... no water, no menus, no check-in. We finally had to flag someone down just to acknowledge we existed. Things went downhill fast. When my pregnant friend asked if they had iced tea or coke, the server actually told her she shouldn't be having caffeine and suggested something else instead. That comment was wildly inappropriate, not her place, and absolutely unacceptable. Full stop! Ordering food took forever, and when it finally arrived, it was painfully underwhelming. Dishes were missing items listed on the menu, portions were small, and the prices were laughable for what you get... think expensive guacamole that barely feeds one person, croquettes that tasted frozen, and fries that felt like an afterthought. Add in an extra kitchen fee on the bill and it just felt insulting. Service overall was scattered and disengaged, the space didn't feel very clean, and for a party of 8 being the only guests there, it somehow felt like we were an inconvenience. No warmth, no hospitality, no accountability. This place tries hard to look like an upscale Latin fusion spot, but it's all surface-level. Between the disrespectful comment, slow service, overpriced and mediocre food, and awkward vibes, this was an easy never again. Please save your time, money, and energy.

They had unique flavor profiles with unique ingredients that made me want to try them all. We ended up ordering the ceviche coco and ceviche teruano to start (the best ceviche I've ever had and I'm a ceviche snob) fish was very fresh and the flavors caused a little dance party in my mouth lol we also got the arepas and empanadas. The chimichurri and sauces that came with them were exquisite. Literally perfectly made by someone who understands flavor. For the entrees we got the mole chicken and the Seabass. I'm not a sea bass person but the way it was made wowed me. Presentation was like art, flavor was Michelin star status. The chicken mole was unique, had a dry coffee rub and you dipped the chicken in the mole. Never had that experience! Also the dessert was the icing on the cake. Don't get me started on the churros with the Mexican hot chocolate.. obsessed! I can't wait to come back and try more on the menu. This place is sooo underrated. Yes it's hard to find and parking sucks, but the views were great and the customer service was perfect. Oh & if you like to drink, check out their unique drinks. Usually, when I walk into a…read moreRitz property, I expect to feel like a man who owns a yacht, even if I'm actually just a man who owns a very tired Goldendoodle. We were passing through Downtown and decided to hit Corteza at Sendero. My wife and our two girls (ages 8 and 11) were in tow. Now, my kids have a refined palate for 8 and 11--they can spot a "low-effort" chicken finger from a mile away--so we were optimistic. The Food: The Unexpected Hero I'll give credit where it's due: the kitchen is actually doing the work. The food was great, creative, and "different" in a way that didn't require a dictionary to understand. Even the children's menu was a hit, which saved me from the usual "I'm hungry/bored" symphony. The service? Immaculate. Everyone was so nice I started to wonder if they knew I was a critic (I'm not, but I have the haircut for it). The Drinks: A Mid-Life Crisis in a Glass Then came the cocktails. On paper? They sounded like poetry. In reality? They were "ehhh." They had the descriptions of a five-star vacation but the personality of a Tuesday afternoon. They weren't bad; they just weren't "I'm paying $26 for this" good. They were the liquid equivalent of a movie trailer that shows you all the best parts, leaving you with a mediocre two-hour experience. The Ambience: The "Ritz" is Silent Here is the sticking point: the vibes. Or lack thereof. We were charged Ritz-Carlton prices--which I am happy to pay when I feel like I'm sitting in the lap of luxury. Instead, I felt like I was sitting in a very nice airport lounge or a high-end cafeteria. We were sitting where you walk in by the bar so maybe we didn't sit in a nice spot? It was way, way too casual. I'm over here checking the bill to see if I accidentally bought a share of the company, while looking around at an atmosphere that says, "man... did they just give up? Or maybe they ran out of money." If you're going to charge me like I'm at a gala, don't make me feel like I should have worn my "good" flip-flops. The Verdict: 3.5 stars. Go for the food, stay for the lovely service, but maybe bring your own velvet curtain and a dimmer switch if you want to feel like you're actually at the Ritz. It's a great meal trapped in a restaurant that forgot to put its nice suit on.
