    Double Cheeseburger $13.40
    Erik G.

What I Ordered: -Double Cheeseburger $13.40 -Sweet Potato Fries $5.25 I've finally made the pilgrimage to the original For the Win location in Hollywood. I rarely get out that way, but I had another commitment in the area, which gave me the perfect excuse to finally try it out. To be clear, I've tried For the Win before at Grand Central Market in DTLA and wasn't impressed. I felt the prices were high and the burger was just okay. I checked Yelp and noticed that most For the Win locations have lower scores. This location was the only one with a high 4 and over a thousand reviews, so I knew they must be doing something right. I was looking forward to giving it another try, especially since I've tried many different smash burgers in the city since my last visit to FTW. Order through the kiosk and tap to pay. Grab a seat and be patient; they take their time cooking the burgers, but it's worth the wait - good things take time! I saw a previous review raving about the sweet potato fries, so I decided to try them - a rare choice for me! Apparently, they're even better than the regular fries. Now for the burger! I upgraded to a double cheeseburger for $3.50, and it was definitely worth the extra cost. The Double Cheeseburger arrives with fry sauce oozing down the patty, grilled onions, and tangy pickles, all on a Martin's potato bun. This smash burger is simply the best! My only regret was not ordering extra fry sauce on the side to dip my sweet potato fries in. I used the leftover sauce from the burger, and it made me wish I had even more! I appreciate that each table had dozens of condiment packets available. You could choose from ketchup, mayonnaise, hot sauce, and mustard. I combined ketchup, mayonnaise, and hot sauce to create my own secret sauce. Well, now it's not a secret anymore! I tried another smash burger the next day to compare it to For the Win, and the difference between the two was night and day.I've heard from friends and read online that the quality of For the Win seems to vary between locations, which is a concern when franchising or expanding. Only come to this specific For the Win location if you want a superior smash burger. Although I ordered through the kiosk, I received good customer service from one of the employees. He seemed like the manager, a hipster-looking African-American gentleman. He asked if I liked the burger, and I explained that this location's burger was significantly better than the one at Grand Central Market. He mentioned they cook the burgers on the grill a little longer to ensure they get it right. Visit For the Win in Hollywood; they truly pour their hearts into crafting these burgers!

Review solely on the falsely advertised 2 for 1 on Uber Eats. They get you with the nice photos of beautifully presented burgers on the app, however since you're paying for the "price of one" this establishment feels entitled to send you mediocre burger patties and bread. A single pickle and raw onion is crazy. The cheese fries had a hint of spice to them almost like horseradish or uncooked onion - my boys wouldn't eat them. I'd recommend Chris n Eddys or the Window over this place. One star for the plain fries though. Good job

Perfect pre-Broadway show eat. Super fast and efficient, affordable, and delicioussss Got a single cheeseburger but wish I got a double. Also got sweet potato fries which are good. Tried the Brussels sprouts which are also yummy and a good portion. Only thing that is a bummer is they don't give water cups. But gives you opportunity to try cool beers. Space is kinda small but it wasn't very packed when I went. It was clean though!

Finally got around to trying For The Win, and it didn't disappoint. The bun was toasted yet still soft with a good bite. The burger was also well seasoned, but a bit messy. Don't get me wrong, I love a good greasy burger, but there was an excess of sauce dumped on that mostly made its way to the plate rather than my mouth. Also at $14, it's one of the pricier options. Counter service was efficient and friendly and my food came out fast. I dig the cinder block aesthetic inside and they had music playing at a good volume. All in all I think it was good, but not my top choice for a quick burger.

Often in LA, places close so early and knowing this place closed a little later at 10pm definitely made me more eager to go asap! Since this location was in a shopping plaza, parking there was limited and the only option left was farther street parking. It was a little small inside and the service was decent but nonetheless the smashburger with bacon along with the fries were well seasoned and a nice evening stop.

Good burgers, not great prices. Spent $38 after tax and tip for one cheeseburger, one double cheeseburger, and some fries. The fries were great, and the burgers had that beautiful lace to the edges, but as great as the presentation was, the flavor did not match. The service is solid and the restaurant is spotless, we got our to-go order in about 5 minutes. If you're interested in the spot that started the smash burger craze it's worth a stop, otherwise nothing particularly different than most burger spots.

Parking can be awful!! You order at the kiosk. They have a lot of pick up orders so a cashier probably won't take your order. The menu is simple and straight to the point; burgers, variation of fries and Brussels sprouts. I had the double cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato with no pickles. I really enjoyed the burger! It was full of flavor and so tasty. I also had sweet potato fries which were a good addition. The Brussels sprouts were a good touch to the meal.

Don't let your gut mislead you. The GPS is accurate it's tucked in the corner of the plaza with the donut shop (: Friendly staff simple menu! They have a self order kiosk which is nice for busier times or if you know straight up what you want. Can't go wrong with the cheeseburger. I loveeee smash burgers and wishes there were more of these restaurants around. This spot does a great job and I like the fact that they have BRUSSELS as an option as well! They have bar like seating by the window, small booths, and two large communal tables. 3OH3!, Riri, Kygo, was playing def gave a lighthearted throwback during these odd & stressful times.

Yeah, just come here. The hype is real and you'll leave with a smash burger addiction that you won't be able to quell without coming back here. Crispy, juicy, savory.....really alllll the good things you want out of a smash burger. The only bad thing about this place is the parking which for Hollywood isn't even that bad.

Double cheeseburger with added lettuce and tomato. Brussel sprouts are good and come with enough to share with 3 people.

VERY delicious cheeseburger. I added lettuce and tomato to mine. The brussel sprouts are good, and come with a huge amount to share with 3 people.

First time here and wanted to see what the hype was all about, boy was I impressed, busy place, smell of burgers could be smelt from the parking lot, clean place, super friendly staff and the burgers were just delicious, juicy and lots of flavors 10/10. Add bacon to the burger you won't regret it. Highly recommended!

Stopped by before heading to the Pantages theater. There is small parking lot at this location. There were a few tables inside if you want to eat there, which we did. I got a single smash burger and it was tasty. The meat was flavored nicely and was crispy. I would come back, although it was a little pricey for what it is.

Have been wanting to try For the Win for the longest time and it did not disappoint. My burger was smashed to perfection, with a perfectly formed meat crust with lots of flavor. Shout out to the guy from South Africa for the friendly service, and to the kitchen for getting my food out fast. Will def be back to try their fries too!

During a…read morelazy afternoon after visiting the Pantheon in Rome, we had our first experience with All'Antico after taking a 5 minute walk down the road. They actually had 2 separate locations flanking the pedestrian road, so there were two long lines snaking out in opposite directions. While we were waiting in line, we bumped into a couple from Spain who were also visiting. They gave my wife some personal recommendations, advising we get the blood orange soda with our sandwiches. After getting said sandwiches (the La Paradiso), we nibbled on them while walking to Sant'Ignazio of Loyola Church, which is that cathedral where there's a mirror directed up towards the murals on the ceiling and a huge selfie line. Hot damn were those sandwiches good. The thinly sliced mortadella paired perfectly with that buttery, green pistachio spread. The only challenge for my taste buds was the mild oral trauma I sustained from punching through the crispy bread; your gums started to feel it by the time you devoured your sandwich. But we liked it so much that when we later took the train to Florence, we sought All'Antico again at their original location. I thought that would be my last experience with All'Antico (unless, of course, I came back to Italy). So imagine my surprise when later that year I heard All'Antico had coincidentally opened a branch in Los Angeles, although rather awkwardly situated in Koreantown. Even though we live 30 minutes away, we made the drive immediately. There was no way this remote All'Antico location, thousands of miles from Italy, would live up to the experience I had in Rome earlier that year. But I was mistaken. Not only is the taste spot on, but the bread they serve is actually chewier and removed the gum calisthenics I suffered in Italy. And yes, they also have the blood orange soda as well. It's a little weird their location is in Koreatown, but not a big deal; we'll usually do a bingsu run afterward. Just like their locations in Italy, All'Antico is small but they do have a small collection of bar seats, some of which overlook the staff as they're making your sandwich. Be mentally prepared though to take it to go depending on how busy it is. Parking sucks too; there's street parking only, but if you come on Sunday you don't have to pay. Every so often now, we'll make the 30 minute drive just to relive that slice of Italy we experienced nearly 2 years ago. Thankfully, not a lot of people recognize how good this place is yet, as the lines aren't crazy long like they are in Italy. For all the other Yelpers in on it too, let's keep it our little secret for now.

Loved to see how they only use focaccia that just come out of the oven, and they cut your sandwich's meat from the meat hunk on an order basis. Very fresh, never greasy. I thought the Dante and Mamma Mia could improve by adding just one more ingredient as a cherry on top, like a sort of nut (walnuts, pine nuts) or something that helps the sandwich spark. Would love to see a bit more arugula too. No public bathroom--closest one is probably Hmart across the street (needs a code).
