Sandough has amazing bread, and the bread is clearly the highlight. The pizza-dough style bread is crispy, chewy, nicely charred, and gives the sandwiches a unique texture. The Chicken Milanese was the weakest sandwich. The bread was excellent, but the sandwich itself was very plain. It had no spice, no sharpness, and not enough flavor. The vodka mayo sounded interesting, but it did not add much. This sandwich really needs something extra, like a spicy sauce, Dijon, Calabrian chili, or another flavorful add-on. I would give the Chicken Milanese a 6 out of 10. The Funghi sandwich was much better. It was cheesy, rich, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. It had a good balance and was definitely worth ordering. I would give the Funghi an 8 out of 10. The pastrami sandwich was the best of the three. It had great flavor, richness, melted cheese, and worked perfectly with the toasted bread. I would give the pastrami a 9 out of 10. If they offered an option to add sauerkraut, it would take the sandwich to the next level. The place is very busy, so expect a long wait. It took about 45 minutes to get the food. Seating is also an issue. Some large tables were being used by only one person, while larger parties had to stand without a place to sit. Parking is difficult too, and you may need to park a couple of blocks away. Overall, the bread is outstanding, the pastrami is excellent, and the Funghi is very good. The Chicken Milanese needs more flavor and spice to make it worth ordering again.

Sandough delivery order! This was yummy and I think this is best eaten warm or fresh. I will have to come in person next time. My first impression on taste via delivery wasn't the best, but Straccetti is the more worth it one and I would get this again via delivery. The Parma - 4/5 - didn't really meet my expectation, but the flavor was still solid and if I didn't like anything else on the menu I would get this one. But I couldn't go out of my way for this. Straccetti - 5/5 I would 100% get this one again! the flavor was perfect, the way the steak, onion, cheese & glaze melted together in one bite - this was memorable. And it stayed warm even via delivery. if it was this good after a bit of wait, I can only imagine how good it is fresh. I'm a bit sad that I didn't get a picture of this when I inhaled it. Nutella - 4/5 - good, not that impressive BUT it will help with those with sweet cravings. Delivery - it was fast, I imagine the staff worked rapidly to get this out the door. I was surprise by the delivery speed. And the packing is solid. I can tell they made sure the sticker was on the bag.

Saw this place in a YouTube short and it looked amazing. We ordered the Pastrami and it did not disappoint. The bread is baked fresh and the pastrami is juicy! I shared this with a friend and we were satisfied. There is no doubt I could eat a whole sandwich and more! But I wouldn't be able to walk...lol. The service is fast and friendly but expect to wait as this place is popular. Ambiance is casual and they offer beer, aguas frescas, and sodas to drink. Will definitely be back! We really liked @eatsandough!

Hidden gem on Melrose! I tried The Verde (Fiore de Latte Mozzarella, Heirloom Tomato & Pesto and its $14) and it was fantastic. The dough is perfectly chewy with a crisp outside, and the fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and pesto made every bite flavorful. You order, wait, and pick up your food hot and fresh as you dine or take it to-go. Portion is just right for one, or share if you're not super hungry. The vibe is relaxed, making it a great spot for a quick, satisfying meal. Will definitely be back to try more of their menu.

Very nice touch on the pizza bread for the sandwiches! I ended up trying Chicken Milanese sandwich. The pizza bread was slightly crispy on the outside and perfect pillowy on the inside. The chicken was freshly fried, covered by bread crumbs, melted cheese and their special sauce. It tasted pretty good, was juicy but I felt that it needed a bit more of their sauce for additional flavor, so I got a side of it. The design of the place is contemporary-industrial, with an exposed brick wall and some cool industrial light fixtures. The customer service was very welcoming and efficient. Will come back again to try another sandough!

Pizza dough for sandwich bread? Genius! We ordered the steak sandough, chicken Caesar sandwich sandough, and Nutella dessert sandough. All were delicious but the best was definitely the Chicken Caesar Salad!

Nice spot for a quick lunch, very friendly staff, super clean inside and the kitchen area. They got a smaller menu which makes deciding easier. I love the bread, feels homemade. Ordered the special pastrami sandwich, well made pastrami meat, salsa verde, cheese, and delicious bread. One order will fill you up.

Nice place with good food, nice atmosphere, kind staff. The food was good, not something I'd run back for but it was tasty. Great dough, very authentic. I found it odd the didn't have a standard pepperoni sandwich, seems like a home run, but we tried the meatball and the steak, both good. One sandwich is enough to get you satisfied.

Saw this place on TikTok, and wanted to try because the bread looked so good! There wasn't a line when we ordered for Saturday lunch, and there's nice booths inside. Ordered the cold Parma sandwich and the hot meatball sandwich. The Parma was good with th mustard on the table. Bread was soft. The meatball was very good as well, with alottttt of cheese- expect it to be very messy. Overall, I enjoyed the sandwiches since the bread was different. Would come back to try the other sandwiches if I was in the area.

    Chicken Caesar sandough

The food was excellent. The service was great. Seeing the team work hard in the kitchen was great. The design of the space is very modern and sleek. Very clean. We ordered a chicken Caesar sandough and split it between the two of us. This was more than enough food for us, but I would recommend getting two separate sandoughs if you're really hungry. Next time, we are going to try the pastrami sandough. My fiancé wanted a side of the Caesar sauce because the salad was dressed, but the chicken inside wasn't so he wanted more sauce to dip. They didn't have small options so he had to pay three dollars for a large cup of Caesar on the side. It was pretty excessive for the size of our sandwich. I would recommend for them to offer tiny cups for dipping or that they drizzle their Cesar sandough with a little bit more dressing. Other than that, really big experience! I will definitely be here again if I'm in the area.

Service was lovely. Helpful. However the reason I am giving 3 stars is it was really underwhelming in terms of flavor and the price was a bit too expensive. For 23 dollars I got the steak and cheese. Ambiance was cool, literally, the ac was perfect. The dark tones made it seem like a bar. The chef working was cool and friendly .And it was decent meal, personally though, it's not worth coming back for. The bread was indeed excellent but the flavor of the filling wasn't mind blowing. It was kind of just good enough but not worth a second visit. I learned about this place from a youtuber and I think it was a little overhyped.

    Matthew C.

I wanted to love this place when I went. However the experience wasn't as great as I expected. The sandwich itself was good. The dough was soft and airy. It was a bit thin in the middle and the insides of the sandwich were barely supported. My issues came with the wait and staff. It took around 20 minutes to get the sandwich and there were only 5 of us in the place. The staff seemed to work with no urgency nor apologize for the wait. Secondly the person preparing sandwiches was not wearing a hair covering... not only is that illegal in California but also is just gross. Like I said the food was good but the atmosphere ruined the whole experience.

I got the caprese, which was the fan favorite. The monaco (tuna sandwich), which was spicy and tasty. I also got the fiorelli which didn't seem like as much of a crowd pleaser but was still decent. I preferred my sandwich because I loved the crunch from the pistachios and the sweetness that came from the jam. It was a good size - I only ate about half and saved the rest for later. I originally thought that the amount of guanciale was lacking but it was still an overall well balanced sandwich so I didn't mind while eating. I enjoyed the mushrooms that came in the Colucci but wanted more of the eggplant flavor to come through. For both, I could tell the quality of the ingredients itself and the freshness of the bread - which is KEY! I also got a nutella canelé (which I've never tried) and that was the perfect sweet treat to end off my meal. DEF RECOMMEND! Before you even come in, you can smell the focaccia baking. I came here on a Saturday around 11am and there was no line - it took about 10 minutes to get my sandwiches and there was ample seating inside and out. Street parking was fine - metered and non metered spots all around. Would come again if i'm in the area!!

The restaurant is billed as French-Vietnamese and previously offered pho and related fare but did not have these options on our visit. Our family came on a Saturday evening after an afternoon in the mall. We also got the French lobster roll ($26) a decent, but not groundbreaking, sandwich with a spicy sauce. One of our children got the tomato soup ($10) which was phenomenal - creamy and tomatoey - and paired well with grilled cheese. The cafe was clean and positioned with a great view; service was good too, with the waitress making suggestions and accommodating our children's special requests. FOOD Bubble Waffle with Pistachio Gelato (5.5/5): Omg! I didn't know they have egg waffle here as well. It's a classic Hong Kong street food that I grew up with, you don't really see it around. The egg waffle is tasty, it doesn't taste bland and not overly seasoned (it has the egg custard-y taste, not too sweet), and it has a light crisp outside. I had a gelato to pair with it. The pistachio flavor is yummy, it has chopped pistachio nuts inside so the texture is rich. If you have a sweet tooth, pair it with a scoop of gelato, they compliment each other well. *finish the gelato first so it doesn't make the egg waffle loose it's crisp Pastrami Brisket Sandwich (5/5): They recommended me the Pastrami Brisket Sandwich and the prosciutto one, I haven't had lunch so I went with the pastrami- it was good. The bread is pretty soft and it's decently portioned, you could share the sandwich. It's a simple sandwich that's healthy and flavourful, you don't feel heavy after eating it. I like that it's not messy to eat (not overly saucey)! They hold the fillings with the little wooden sticks. AMBIENCE Sitting is spacious and clean, it's at the corner of the mall so it's not too crowded. There is enough space to put your shopping bags if you're trying to grab a quick bite around.
