My husband and I LOVED THIS PLACE! We saw a post from IG and so glad we tried it when we went to LA. We highly recommend the Di Parma with prosciutto. It was DELICIOUS! Location is perfect by Santa Monica Blvd and the cashier was really nice and helpful. Place has a nice Italian touch with a lot options for Italian cookies and pasta bags. Will be back here again!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while because so many people rave that it has one of the best sandwiches in LA. Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. I do want to start by saying the service was great. Everyone was welcoming, and my order came out quickly. I ordered the Di Parma, and to me it was just bland. The prosciutto was salty, as expected, but everything else, including the bread, lacked flavor. I kept eating, hoping it would get better, but it never did. The sandwich just felt underwhelming from start to finish. I know a lot of people love the bread, but I didn't find it to be anything special. Overall, it was really disappointing, especially for a sandwich that's around $30. At that price, I expected much more flavor and a more memorable experience.

Incredible Italian sandwiches. The special handmade bread of Florence with your choice of gourmet fillings! I love the Cardinal paper thin sliced Oven-roasted turkey breast, artichoke cream, roasted tomato, Comté cheese, baby arugula! You can add or substitute. The staff is super friendly, especially Dorathy! The sandwiches are so large enough for two people or two days! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also Mamies is very dog friendly with cute tables outside![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Excellent coffee imported from Napoli!

I went here on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't busy at all. We got the monaco and Eros sandwich. The service was really fast and [[HIGHLIGHT]]they had seating inside and outside which was really nice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bread on the sandwich was amazing. I did enjoy both of the sandwiches, they had a variety of options and you can also customize your own. I'd come back here again to try the other sandwiches as well! I

I got the Viale de Guanciale (instead of the Viale de Parma bc I'm more partial to guanciale) and my boyfriend got the Colucci. Both sandwiches were wrapped very nicely and so so good! I preferred my sandwich because I loved the crunch from the pistachios and the sweetness that came from the jam. It was a good size - I only ate about half and saved the rest for later. I originally thought that the amount of guanciale was lacking but it was still an overall well balanced sandwich so I didn't mind while eating. I enjoyed the mushrooms that came in the Colucci but wanted more of the eggplant flavor to come through. For both, I could tell the quality of the ingredients itself and the freshness of the bread - which is KEY! I also got a nutella canelé (which I've never tried) and that was the perfect sweet treat to end off my meal. DEF RECOMMEND! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Before you even come in, you can smell the focaccia baking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came here on a Saturday around 11am and there was no line - it took about 10 minutes to get my sandwiches and there was ample seating inside and out. Street parking was fine - metered and non metered spots all around. Would come again if i'm in the area!!

I don't really go to sandwich places that much but I think this was a great first experience! The focaccia is sooo good and the sandwiches are so perfectly built and easy to eat. We got the Viale di Parma, the first item on the menu, and I thought it was good if you're into savory and sweet at the same time. The service is pretty standard and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the store itself is very clean (including the restrooms!)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Would definitely want to try the other items on the menu if I ever come back.

Tried Mamie today and it was so worth it 10/10 The meat is sliced super thin, everything tastes fresh, and the bread is perfectly crunchy on the outside but soft inside--so good. Portions were just right too, filling without being too heavy. Definitely get the chili sauce on the side, it takes it to another level Only sad part... they were sold out of the dessert bread next time for sure. Check out @the.last.lunch for a video review! I've been craving a good sandwich for a while and damn this place hit the spot! I ordered the Eros sandwich and added sun-dried tomatoes to it. Ooooo! That first bite was delicious! Service was fine. You wait in line and place your order, they give you a number and call your number when it's ready. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The space was kinda small, so my suggestion is to have one person wait by the counter for orders to be called, and the other person stake out for anyone leaving a table.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Wow, just wow! Sure the sammies are on the higher end, my wallet hurt in treating myself and my son but also no regrets. Ridiculously delicious sandwiches- we got two di parmas i believe, but one with added cal chilis. Outstanding service too! Polite, genuine, no pressure and the staff went out of their way to give my dachshund some turkey to enjoy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop is aesthetically pleasing and felt warm and welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The bread was phenomenal, the gooey cheese and prosciutto along with pistachios just elevated each bite. Visited from sac and cannot wait to return! Only wish there were locations elsewhere in LA as Hollywood area traffic definitely plays a factor. I tried to return before I left but couldn't tear myself from the beaches to make it before closing time. Definitely a must try!! Oh Mamie

This place was sooo yummy!!! The bread and all the ingredients are so fresh. It was fun to watch them make the sandwiches while waiting in line. The line was pretty long but moved quick! The viale di Parma is sooo yum. It has a delicious fig jam (but when you order make sure you say viale bc there's also a di parma which was also good it's like pesto and truffle). Def will be back!! The parking situation is not ideal but that's how West Hollywood is. We found street parking around the block which was free which was nice! We sat at a table inside there isn't too much seating but there's also an outside area which was nice!

Honestly, my sandwich was really good. The prosciutto is delectable however, I chose to add mozzarella and they didn't add it. Mozzarella is legit an extra $4+ so I'm pissed, especially since that was the main thing I was looking forward to. Cheese is a main part of what makes a sandwich good. Other than them forgetting my $4+ mozzarella, it was a great sandwich. But was it worth $30 (for them to forget to add my cheese)? Probably not.

What a great find in the WeHo area while taking a break from wedding dress shopping. It's on a great corner spot with both inside and outside seating. The service was good, but not great. They seemed to want to rush us through and luckily we had previewed the menu before we arrived. These Tuscan style sandwiches are my favorite of all sandwich types. And my favorite is the mortadella with straciattella cheese and pistachio cream. The one thing that I really liked about their sandwiches was the bread. It was nice and crunchy on the outside, but light and airy on the inside. I prefer this over the more dense bread at All' Antaico Vinaio.

Tip for first-timers: go when you can have the brunch or the lunch menu. Then you'll have so many options that you'll have to return! Round 1 Polpettine (meatballs) are made from lentils and texture similar to the real ones; lovely marinara sauce and ground macadamia nut instead of parmesan. Complement this with the citrus notes that highlight the sauteed swiss chard with earthy Italian butter / gigante beans. We originally…read morewanted to try another restaurant, but it was completely booked, so we looked for somewhere new to explore. Met Him At A Bar seemed like a good option, and one of my girlfriends made a reservation for four. Our reservation was at 7:00 PM. I street-parked and walked to the restaurant, where one of my friends was waiting outside. I asked why she wasn't sitting at our table, and she told me that our table was right by the entrance. She didn't like that spot and thought the tables farther inside looked much more comfortable and cozy. Since people were sitting at one of those tables, she wanted to wait until they left. Personally, I thought the table by the entrance was perfectly fine, but I was also STARVING! Another friend arrived and also disliked the table, so we decided to wait. After a while, I was getting way too hungry, so we sat at the bar and ordered an appetizer and drinks while waiting. I first ordered the Garlic Shrimp and asked if it was spicy. I was told it was, so I asked if they could make it without the spice because I can't eat spicy food. He said he would check with the kitchen, but since I was starving and it sounded like it might take too long, I changed my order to Garlic Bread. One of my girlfriends ordered a glass of wine, and since she had made the reservation and gone through the trouble of arranging everything, I treated her to the wine and garlic bread. Then, of course, our friend who is ALWAYS late arrived about 30 minutes late! By then, the rest of us had already decided what to order from the Dine LA menu. We wanted to try as many dishes as possible, so we ordered different items and shared everything. When our late friend arrived, we ordered his dishes separately. For the first course, we had Caesar Salad, Bruschetta, and Meatballs. For the second course, we ordered Rigatoni Vodka, Cacio e Pepe, and Margherita Pizza. For dessert, everyone ordered Tiramisu. Overall, I thought the food was good. My favorites were the Bruschetta, Meatballs, Rigatoni Vodka, and Tiramisu. The Cacio e Pepe was not my favorite because I thought they used way too much black pepper, and my other friends agreed. Our group had mixed reactions overall. Except for one person, the other two felt the food didn't quite live up to their expectations and were somewhat disappointed. But everyone's taste is different, so I completely understand. Considering how expensive everything has become these days, I thought the Dine LA price was pretty reasonable. It was $45 per person, and with tax and tip, it came to $60 each. For that price, I thought the amount of food and the overall experience were pretty good. I also really appreciated how friendly and attentive all the staff members were. I usually don't drink alcohol, and especially when I'm driving, I NEVER drink--not even a sip. That has been my personal rule for decades. So I just ordered water, and I loved how the staff kept coming by and refilling my glass whenever it got low. I drink a LOT of water, so I really appreciated their attentiveness. Now, about parking: valet parking is $17. I decided to street-park instead. One of my friends also street-parked, but unfortunately she got a parking ticket and was VERY upset. I had originally found a spot where a sign said a parking permit was required, so I decided not to take the risk and moved my car. Before leaving, I asked a man walking his dog if it was okay to park there. He said he had seen many cars parked there and they had been fine, but I still didn't trust it because the sign clearly said permits were required. I told him, "I don't think that's allowed." He was very nice and suggested going about three blocks farther, where there was plenty of street parking without a permit. I followed his advice and parked there. Unfortunately, my friend who stayed in the permit-only spot ended up getting a ticket. Another friend parked in the parking structure across the street and said it cost $18. Since I had parked farther away and didn't want to walk alone at night, I asked him to drop me off at my car after dinner, and he kindly did. So my parking recommendation is to use the $17 valet or street-park about three blocks away where no permit is required. I definitely would NOT recommend parking in the permit-only spaces unless you want to risk getting a ticket. One of the funniest things about this neighborhood is the restaurant names. The restaurant we went to is called "Met Him At A Bar," and literally right across the street is "Met Her At A Bar." There's also another restaurant called "The Night We Met." I have to say, the names are pretty creative and definitely make this neighborhood more fun! Overall, we had a fun evening together, and for $60 per person including tax and tip, I thought it was a pretty decent Dine LA experience.

(Make a rezzy before going is what I am trying to say, otherwise, you might end up waiting for a bit, but it's worth it anyway) I'm getting hungry just writing this review, so I better go "destroy" that Carbonara with a nice glass of Soave Classico (or really, any good Garganega) and enjoy a great chat with the bartenders at Osteria La Buca. Grazie, Osteria La Buca. Cheers!

This time we came around their HH time - 3-5. Their whole menu is basically "off" and you can only order from the HH menu (or so that's what it sounded like to me). We sat at the bar, I got a glass of the house white which was delicious and the fries and arancini. Everything was delicious and again- the staff was super wonderful. The place was super clean and the vibes were great! I'm not sure if they have their own parking but there is metered strewn parking along Ventura !

The wine we had was recommended by the sommelier and was honestly some of the best we've had in the price range. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable with great recommendations. We took our kids to Disneyland and universal studios this week for vacation, and they both said the dinner was one of their favorite parts if that tells you anything! My husband got the wild boar ragu which was the best dish on the table. I got a alla'amatriciana dish - I'm sure I'm not spelling it right but it had smoked guanciale, tomatoes, red pepper flakes, and pecorino Romano. So good! My daughter got the lasagna and my other daughter got spaghetti in ragu. We all loved our food. We started with the bruschetta which was so fresh and came with arugula dressed with lemon and olive oil. We would 1000% come back here!

Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure we were well taken care of throughout the meal. The standout for me was definitely the Orecchiette Arrabbiata. I typically gravitate toward pasta dishes with a protein, but I had to try Alba's signature pasta, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We also ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese, which was rich, comforting, and equally delicious. The Diavola chicken was another pleasant surprise, tender, flavorful, and one of my favorite dishes of the night. The focaccia is a must-order for the table, and the tartare was fresh and well-executed. The cocktails were good, but they didn't stand out quite as much as the food. My only critique is that I wish there were a few more menu options, especially considering the price point. While everything we ordered was enjoyable, the overall experience felt a bit pricey for the portion sizes and limited selection. That said, the beautiful atmosphere, attentive service, and standout dishes make Alba a place I'd gladly return to. With a few more menu offerings and a stronger cocktail program, this would easily be a five-star experience.

The choices are limited maybe due to a small kitchen or they lack seasonal items. The service was fine and the waitress was excellent, we have no complaints. For the ambiance, we were seated inside since the weather was hot that day! But the view to the courtyard was decent. In short, for a traditional Italian food, we would suggest somewhere else (ie. Angelini Osteria). If you want an atmosphere and vibe, then Alba is good choice.
