Mac and Cheese, Fried Chicken Sandwich, Southern Potato Salad, and Tenders
    Brittany M.

Wow wow wow wowww. So good. We met up with friends for lunch at Le Coupe on a Sunday and were not disappointed. Everything was delicious and the staff were kind and helpful. The inside is fairly small with only a few tables. We were lucky to get there at a time where we didn't have to wait in line or for a table, but when we left the line was starting out the door. We tried the chicken sandwich, tender with the honey chili sauce on the side plus ranch and honey mustard, the potato salad, mac n cheese, blue corn bread, watermelon salad, and fried chicken skins. The plus of going with friends is getting to share sides! All of which I highly recommend. The man n cheese was my favorite because I loved the gooey cheese but the watermelon surprised me most. It has balsamic, pistachio, peppers, and goat cheese on it. I've never had those ingredients together but it works!! And still tastes fresh. As for the chicken, chefs kiss. The sandwich can get a little messy from the sauce plus the chicken is big. The tenders were nice and juicy. I cannot recommend Le Coupe enough!

Small space with limited street parking. No line and easy to find seating on a Wednesday afternoon. About ~ 15 min to get our sandwiches which was told to us ahead of time while ordering - no prob. I think I was expecting the chicken to be spicy and less sweet based on the color, but it's definitely a very sweet forward marinade with no spiciness to it. I would rate it a 7/10. It's a really solid, tasty, and big juicy sandwich! I thought the coleslaw was really good. I wish it was a bit less sweet and had more kick. Mac and cheese was good, too. I also tried their cookie which won an award for being the best, but that may be a bit of a stretch. There is also no bathroom which is incredibly annoying since this is a messy dish to eat. I think there's a lot of hype around this place. Yes it's good , but it's nothing crazy.

It looked and smelled so good I didn't even take a photo of the tenders before. I ordered pick up and didn't read the description - I thought it was regular chicken tenders. Oh...it's so much better. The first bite was true bliss, the crunch and juicy texture was delicious. I didn't expect it to be fried chicken thigh meat with skin. It came with 4 pieces and the box had no trace of it left. Their honey mustard is true nostalgia. It reminded me of the honey mustard I had as a kid - creamy and lightly sweet. The ranch was good too. I ordered the hot honey on the side and dipped it instead of being tossed. I highly recommend!! I had their watermelon salad last year and it was amazing as well - so refreshing. It's back on the menu so order it now!

Le Coupe in Los Angeles absolutely blew me away. Their fried chicken sandwich was hands down one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside while still being juicy and tender inside. Every bite was packed with flavor and tasted incredibly fresh. The seasoning was spot on and had just the right amount of crunch. The sauce tied everything together perfectly without overpowering the sandwich. The bread was soft, buttery, and held everything together amazingly well. The portions were generous and definitely worth the price. The staff was super friendly and the service came out surprisingly fast. The restaurant itself had a really cool atmosphere that made the experience even better. You can tell they really care about the quality of their food here. If you're in Los Angeles and love fried chicken sandwiches, Le Coupe is an absolute must-try.

This is a one of a kind chicken eatery. The only drawback is parking is challenging. Chicken sandwiches are humongous. I can never finish it. Very moist amd delicious with the coleslaw and pickles adding a nice acidity and crunch and freshness. Corn ribs are hard to stop eating. I love their lime glazed creamy sauce. The kernels pop their sweetness into my mouth and I always want more. The chocolate chip cookies are delicious as well. Friendly service. This spot stays busy. You can also order through Ubereats.

I have found my favorite chicken sandwich in the world! I tried an experiment...four chicken places in four days that I wanted to try, and Le Coupe was at the top of my list and was the clear winner. I did DoorDash. The prices at the location might be lower...at least it appears so when I go to their website. Here we go: Fried Chicken Sandwich ($18.95-Door Dash). One bite and it was like..." Are you kidding me!?" I thought my eyes were going to roll back in my head! Oh my gosh. So good. So juicy. Chicken perfection! Keep in mind it's a chicken thigh, so that's part of why it's not dry, but it's also because it's marinated for 24 hours. It's HUGE! It sticks way out of the large bun. Burgers are priced the same, and this is a way better! For a side, I had cabbage and kale slaw. ($5.95 Door Dash). It was good, but pro tip, the sandwich already has coleslaw on it, so it's redundant. Get another side instead. They have plenty of choices, like mac and cheese and potato salad. I'm a big fan and am definitely going to visit in person next time I'm in the area...heck, I might even make a special trip to go there. Totally worth it!

    I love the cute logo

I am so glad I drove 3 hours for it and I was really hoping it wouldn't be for nothing! No wonder this place sold out of chicken when I was there. Chef Craig has found a way to make an elevated fried chicken burger with the perfect balance of sweet and spiced without relying on the hot chicken trend like Howlin Rays or other fried chicken joints. If you are expecting a spicy burger - thats not what this place is for. It's for phenomenal food and one of the best fried chicken burgers I have ever had. The kale and cabbage slaw is a revelation with a bright citrus punch. The bun is not overly sweet nor do they skimp on pickles in the burger. Definitely never skip the habanero ranch. It's phenomenal. The biggest surprise to me was not the fried chicken (Sorry Chef Craig!) The brown butter cookie was the standout to me along with the blue cornbread - apparently the recipe for the cookies is done exclusively by his wife. Cool tidbit is it won some Best Cookie Championship of 2024 where it beat out a bunch of other contenders to earn #1 (sorry, Levain!) These cookies were coming out fresh from the oven and were gooey, melty, and just the right amount of thickness. The blue corn bread? Don't skip it. Apparently it's done in some duck fat or made with duck fat and it's killer with the brown butter maple cinnamon (i think) spread. Overall - I am glad I made the trip. On the way out it was nice to talk to Chef a little bit about fried chicken theory as a home chef. He was kind enough to help me out and answer some questions. Only critique I probably had was it was hard to find parking - but that's LA for ya (I had to park 1 mile away on a Sunday) and there is limited seating. The ambiance is great though thankfully if you manage to snag a table.

    Brown butter chocolate chip cookies

Absolutely the BEST chicken sandwich I've ever had. Corn ribs, watermelon salad, brown butter choc chip cookies, the fresh squeezed juices and so much more. Just a chill vibe and good eats, with even better service and hospitality. Definitely will be frequenting this spot..... southern home cooking Thank you Chef Craig and Kristen for the best experience

The hype finally got to us. The amount of times we drove by Le Coupe and have seen lines, people waiting outside. We kinda just pushed it off. But finally, this past Wednesday, my fiancée and I decided to stop by Le Coupe, and honestly, I can say... It was DEFINITELY worth the hype!! My fiancée went with their Fried Chicken Sandwich, and I went with their 4-piece tenders. The plan was to share both of our plates, especially how humongous their sandwich was. Like I said, the Fried Chicken Sandwich is humongous. I recommend cutting the sandwich a bit just to be able to take a nice, complete bite of the chicken, their sweet pickles, cabbage, and kale slaw. It just adds an overall nice acidity and crunch to the overall BITE! Everything complements each other nicely. The chicken has a nice crunch. Their signature chili honey isn't really spicy, more of a savory sweet taste to it with a little kick. The taste was very familiar to me, kinda like a sweet and spicy Gochujang Korean fried chicken. IYKYK. Their chicken tenders are just as good. Plus, you get 2 choices of their sauces. I went with their Buttermilk Herb Ranch and Honey Mustard. If you were to get any of their sauces on the side, I highly recommend their Buttermilk Herb Ranch. But definitely, their Fried Chicken Sandwich is definitely the way to go. Get a side of their Ranch. *chefs kiss* Prepare yourself for a messy meal. Ask for extra napkins, especially if you're taking it home/in the car. Service was good. They were polite and overall friendly. Luckily, we were able to get a table because their place is very small, with very limited seating, ambiance was very homey, not too loud...but LORD parking is hell. You'll be lucky to find parking in the front of their establishment. We had to park 2-3 blocks away just to come here. So prepare yourself for a walk. We will most likely be back. Definitely, we won't be waiting in line for it, but if my fiancée and I are driving by the area and see no wait outside. We can see ourselves getting their Fried Chicken Sandwich to eat there or to go.

This place is just as amazing as the first time I came. My update is that we came with a party of 10 and they were still accommodating. Shout out to Dylan, he really went above and beyond delivering A1 service from start to finish. I'm so happy I recommended this place to all my friends because they enjoyed it just as much as I did. PS: TRY THE CORN RIBS!! (Great for sharing)

Sauces were good, tasty but not memorable. For LA this is probably decent BBQ, would probably go back, but would not go out of my way. Would like to try hot fresh food on a weekend and see a wider beer selection. Didn't get a thank you or goodbye upon leaving. Bottom line: Pricey for the quality and portions, would have given 4 stars if food was warm and I left full, but price was over $50 for just me and I would have liked to eat the rest of the brisket. 1/4 Brisket $12 ** 1/4 Rack Pork Ribs $12 *** 1/2 Pint Potato Salad $7 *** IPA $8.50 *** Tax 3.85 Tip $7.80
