    Welcome to MIXT. #bnwphoto #silverlake

MIXT (est 2019) of Silver Lake is a casual healthy farm fresh vegan restaurant located on Sunset blvd. They offer salads, sandwiches, and grain bowls. They have ample free parking on site and curbside delivery from the MIXT Salad Valet™. I have driven past by this spot for years but never got the chance until now. I like their breadth of vegan food items on their menu as well as customize-make your own. Its interior was chic, naturally well lit, neat and clean. Furthermore, its layout is spacious with high ceiling and few wall art decor over their large white walls. I was ebulliently greeted by a female staff with gentle eyes. After perusing the MIXT menu, I ordered a fresh lemonade and BBQ bowl which is composed of cilantro, brown rice, black beans, apple fennel slaw, cheddar, roasted potatoes, and crispy onions. Food was tasty, fresh and delightful. Drink was refreshing. Service was spot on. Staff were cordial. Atmosphere was chill. Prices were economically competitive. Food serving was abundant. Overall, this is a good place for vegans or anyone who wants to eat healthy food. I enjoyed it a lot. I recommend MIXT.

Have never been disappointed here. Everything is fresh, and besides the fried chicken, it's healthy. As long as you go light with the dressing. And the juices are also very good. Great displays of lettuces and toppings. A few tables with napkins and silverware availble to use. Along with a self help water dispenser. Always a lot of delivery folks running through here. Definitely a good option when you can't make a decision.

Let's get straight to the point: this place makes delicious salads! I love their Caesar salad with chopped hard-boiled eggs and dressing on the side. Their fried cauliflower has the best breading, and their ranch with herbs is garlic-forward! Service is efficient, and the staff has always been friendly. We've taken our orders to-go because the dining area can be crowded and stuffy. Parking is free, and there is even a valet occasionally.

My first time here, everyone friendly and sandwiches I ordered was delicious :) Their little decorations were cute and I will come back again!

A salad lover's paradise!!!!! I stopped by after getting a matcha from picnic coffee (right next door). I built my own salad and oh my gosh it was so good!!! The amount you get for the price is sooo worth it. I was more than satisfied! I got a mixture of romaine, mixt greens, and arugula. You get 5 toppings and I chose cauliflower, sweet potato, tomatoes, green onions, and corn. I got to sample some dressings (walnut pesto, fly by jing chili, and miso ginger) and ended up choosing the miso ginger. I have to give immense props to Katia, the staff member who helped me, as she was so very helpful and so hospitable and kind!! It was my first time at MIXT and she made that experience so wonderful. The space is very clean and nice and they have outdoor seating as well! You can get your salad for there or to go. I paid less than $15 before tip for a very generous salad!!!! And they have a parking lot! Highly recommend and thank you Katia for being so kind!

A solid place for some decent salad. I don't necessarily think they are healthy with all the dressing and whatnot, but it tastes good and seems fresh. I have been to other places to customize your own salad, and MIXT is not much different, to be honest. The banner saying 'LA's Best Salad' is what made me want to try this place. There are numerous options to choose from that are all pre-set with healthy greens, nuts, and indeed proteins for some, but you can always make your own salad with whatever you like. I got a seasonal salad, Spicy Brussels, and it was pretty good. Little pieces of avocado were great, as they made it more creamy, and the texture of crunchy pumpkin seeds was surely pleasing. I had some pieces of veggies that were not supposed to be in mine, but I assume they just fell in while being prepared at the same time as other salads. I was really full after finishing the entire salad, and it did not leave me too heavy, which is always a plus. You can also adjust the amount of salad dressing, and I always go light since I do not fancy salad drenched in dressing. You can also get a piece of bread (as pictured) at no extra cost if you ask. All by each, it was good, and I would go back again. Having their own lot with parking was really great, especially in this area.

A great quick lunch spot in silver lake! Ordered the MIXT crispy chicken sandwich, the crispy cauliflower, the elote salad, and the bachan bowl. Everything was delicious, however the crispy cauliflower was the crowd favorite.

Ordered a DIY salad with a group order with uber eats. Wrong veggie (ordered kale), missing Cesar dressing AND a piece of plastic in the salad that I noticed while chewing. Never ordering from here again

DYO Salad for me today because I was really craving steak but didn't want to get the Bachelor salad again. It's so fun and easy to customize that I ended up going a little crazy with the toppings: roasted cauliflower, fennel, golden beets, pickled red onions, butternut squash, edamame, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, and avocado on a bed of mixt greens and butter lettuce. The Mixt Crispy sandwich was sadly a bit smaller than I expected but the size and taste of the chicken were still pretty good. The Crispy Cauliflower is the underdog of this restaurant. You would never think that a side deserves to have the spotlight but the seasoning on this is superior especially when paired with the sriracha ranch. It's super easy to order in person since all the ingredients are laid out for you but I ended up using the app to customize it this time and pick up was a very easy process. It's nice that they have a spacious parking lot out front because I didn't have to worry about it when I arrived.

Another mediocre Silver Lake restaurant. Cool facade from street view. I'll admit, I drive by this place constantly so I was curious. It's pretty much a salad place, similar to an old school Tender Greens but lacking the flavor and freshness of a Sweet Greens. It was $25 for a salad and an ice tea :/ Service was mid, and parking was a challenge despite it being slow inside? I wish I could say more, nothing special.

Sooo tasty! LOTS of greens under the toppings:)

I have no idea why I've never ordered from this place until recently, but so glad I have! I ordered a "create your own" salad yesterday and it was so tasty! So tasty, in fact, that I ordered again today for lunch :) The salad is nice and large and what I really like are the wide variety of toppings. I also think there pricing is very fair! What I ordered: MIXT organic greens Jicama, goat cheese, avocado, oranges, candied pecans & spiced honey roasted sweet potatoes. Lemon juice and Ginger sesame drizzle Would def recommend!

Chairs are just stools so not the comfiest place to chill but we spent a while just chatting and eating. Prices are kinda up there for the portion but it's trendy healthy LA food, so it was expected. I ordered the miso bowl and it was yummy and refreshing! The way it was served did confuse me though just because there was a scoop of hot rice and cold chicken and the veggies had no dressing. Are you supposed to mix it all up like a salad even though the rice is hot or are you supposed to eat it like a rice bowl? Idk it was odd. It wasn't till I finished most of the rice that I just mixed the everything together and it was better, like a salad. The cold chicken and hot rice really just threw me. But the miso dressing was delicious nonetheless! 4/5 Overall, I enjoyed this place but probs wouldn't go out of my way to have it again. To end the night before we headed off to dinner, we stopped by The Semi- Tropic bar for drinks. The parking situation was difficult to say the least-- there is no street parking or parking lot. And the neighborhood behind the bar is filled with park cars. We were lucky and parked at a parking lot that was for the surrounding business (so sorry to the pizza/ weed shop!). We arrived at around 6:30 PM so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted by one of the servers and she gave us options to either sit at a lounge table area or hightop tables. We opted for the hightop tables because we knew we weren't staying there for long. The server was friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for drinks. I've been sober for about a year so I only had water, my boyfriend ordered a Naoshima Dream, his cousin ordered a Mango Cart, and his cousin's girlfriend ordered a Lemon Drop Martini. The bar was super cute and hipster! I honestly would have loved going to this bar back when I used to drink. It's dimly lit, had a vintage 20's speakeasy feel to it and the music was a vibe. I'd recommend coming here for a little date with your partner or even coming with a group of friends. My boyfriend had been here once before and he said the food was really good and affordable. He had a panini and said for bar food it was a 10/10. We waited maybe like 10 minutes for our drinks to come, we were having such a fun time chatting and enjoying the environment that it didn't feel long at all. My boyfriend, his cousin, and his cousin's girlfriend really enjoyed their drinks. They said the drinks tasted "light" insinuating that there was barely any alcohol in it. Don't let the taste fool you, after finishing half of their drink there were full of smiles, giggles, and had a great buzz going. The prices here were all pretty fair for the cost and quality of the drinks. Would defintely recommend coming here for drinks and dinner for a date night or a night out with friends!

We got here around 1:00 pm, fortunately just before a large line formed. This place can get really busy! And I understand why - the food is so fantastic here. We ordered the Bodega Chopped Cheese, the Korean Hott Fried Chicken, and some Waffle Fries. While at the cashier we saw in the window display the Black Sesame Chocolate Chip Cookie and we had to try it. We were so hungry - we actually ended up having dessert first! The cookie had the perfect texture, a mix of crunchy and chewy, and the perfect taste - not too sweet and the savory black sesame paired so well with the chocolate chip. The Bodega Chopped Cheese was mouthwatering and the ground Angus beef was succulent and flavorful. The fresh shredded lettuce and tomato brought brightness to the sandwich and balanced the beef and melted American cheese so well. We also ended up trying the chicken wings, which were juicy and delectable! They came with a Yuzu Crema - a top tier sauce. The wings were honestly delicious on their own and didn't need the Yuzu Crema, but that sauce did make the wing even better somehow. It was pretty busy here on a Saturday afternoon so I would like to come back on a random weekday and try more sandwiches. I got the veggie burrito and my partner got the Thomas Breakfast. I loved the breakfast plate, especially the salad and biscuit that paired with it. The burrito was good but a little too wet for my liking which made the fillings a bit soggy. Overall, flavors were really well balanced and everything tasted fresh. Definitely will be coming back more and I'm so excited to try more of their pastries next time!

We visited on a Monday around 12pm and they were quite packed for brunch, we didn't dine in but really only stopped by to grab some pastries. Might need to come back to try their food another time. Passion Fruit Pie -really good, if you love tart this would be up your alley. Fresh passion fruit topped helps balance the sweetness of the pie. Almond Croissant (White Chocolate Strawberry Garnish)- seems like their croissant flavor rotates. Wasn't expecting the filling to also be strawberry, would have loved the filling to be almond. Croissant is more of a flaky dense bread texture not buttery fluffy pastry. Not the best I've had. Chocolate Chip Oat Cookie -amazing cookie, love a good oat cookie without raisins. This one did just that, would grab this again if we come back and they have it. Strawberry Rhubarb Hand Pie -seems like a permanent item, saw them prepping a ton more when we were there. My favorite item we got, pastry was fluffy and buttery. Not too sweet, filling was the strawberry preserve and some sort of custard. Seasonal Citrus Vanilla Danish - the citrus was charred with a torch which added too much burnt flavor. Not sure what citrus it was but also too strong and overpowering, slightly bitter as well.

Overall nice and yummy experience! Some gluten free options, not celiac safe, but enough to give me some variety

Sometimes the food is a bit salty, but otherwise full of healthy options (10 + kinds of salad and veggie dishes) with decedent choices, too (extra cheesy lasagna). It's a self service restaurant, but also expensive. You set your own table and pour your own water glasses. Dinner for two with beverages is easily $85 or more with tip. There are no refills on drinks like iced tea. The upside of it being self service, is you can hang out as long and chat as long as you like. There is good chance if you do linger that you might order desert or a second small $10 iced tea (with tax and tip). It would be quite easy to spend well over $100 for 2, without table service... If it were a little less expensive, I would be a regular... but if it were less expensive then it would be hard to find a table because that whole neighborhood would be hanging out here.

It was superbly crafted, with flavors that were both rich and perfectly balanced. It truly offered a delightful taste of the region, making it a must-try for any visitor. Complementing the meal was their exquisite coffee, which was brewed to perfection. It had a robust flavor that wasn't too overpowering, providing a soothing accompaniment to the meal. The atmosphere at Levant is another highlight it's remarkably peaceful, making it an ideal spot for a relaxed dining experience. The service was impressively fast without sacrificing quality, ensuring that everything arrived promptly and with a smile. If you have celiac disease, I would urge extreme caution before dining here…read more Although this restaurant is described as gluten-free, it appears that not all ingredients used; such as certain seasonings or sourced products, may come from dedicated gluten-free facilities. For individuals with celiac disease, even trace amounts of gluten can trigger a serious autoimmune reaction and lead to significant health consequences. Someone I know experienced a gluten exposure after eating here and became very ill. Because she is currently pregnant, this has been especially concerning and has added complications to what is now considered a higher-risk pregnancy. Many people do not realize that celiac disease is not a preference or minor sensitivity; it is a serious autoimmune condition, and even small amounts of gluten can cause substantial internal damage and serious health risks. If you have celiac disease or require strict gluten-free protocols, I strongly recommend asking detailed questions about ingredient sourcing, cross-contamination prevention, and whether all products used are truly certified gluten-free before choosing to dine here.
