The Steak Frites with an Au Poivre sauce is soooo good! The steak is cooked to perfection, medium rare. The fries are slightly too thick so for me, but I will still eat them anyways. Obsessed with this French breakfast/brunch spot in Los Feliz!!! I visited this restaurant with 3 other friends on a Sunday noon for a late breakfast/brunch and my experience here was great! I showed up earlier than my friends and they wouldn't let me sit until all of my party showed up, but they had a table for our size readily available. When my party showed up 30 minutes later, they were able to seat us right away. For food I got the 'An American in Paris' breakfast and it was phenomenal. Firstly the eggs. Oh my lord they were cooked so well. The eggs were soft and not overcooked. I loved the creaminess that came from creme fraiche it was cooked with. I also loved the soft mound of parmesan sprinked on top. Perfectly flavorful and savory. Next the French toast was crispy and custardy, yum! It came with a dollop of chantilly cream which wasn't too cold and not too sweet. The market berries were also fresh and not too tart. The syrup was not too overpowering and provided the right amount of sweetness to tie everything together. Lastly, the thin bacon was good and was a nice protein to add to the dish. I was pleasantly surprised with how good everything was! The interior is nicely decorated and even the bathroom was pretty! I did enjoy sitting outside though since the weather was good. The service was great and the server enthusiastically answered all my questions. For parking, there was a big parking lot located nearby and I was able to park there for free, but park at your own discretion. Overall, an amazing experience here and I would regularly come back! I really enjoyed the eggs which were perfectly fluffy and soft. I'm not a huge cheese person, so the parmesan was just a little bit too much for me. $5 for the amount of avocado we got is expensive but it was a good addition to the dish. Potatoes were great as well and the caramelized onions that come with are perfect! I wish the toast was a little thicker and not as hard but really enjoyed the actual pesto sauce. Best Brunch in Los Angeles! The American in Paris is a must get with incredible french toast with berries, sausage, and soft scrambled eggs (or sub for an Omelette) is my favorite. The ambaince feels like eating in Paris (tables are on the smaller end) and the flavors are spot on and is easy to crave. The food reminds me of food in France with the french technique as well, which most brunch places in LA do not encapsulate. Service is generally very fast and friendly as well. What a cute little cafe. I was in the Los Feliz area, walking around lollygagging on a Sunday morning. After working up an appetite I opened Yelp to see what restaurants were in the area. This place was bookmarked so I decided it was a perfect time to come in. I went in around 1pm on a Sunday. Their outdoor seating was at capacity (expected, it was a beautiful day) so I was sat inside. My waitress came over immediately and offered some water and a couple of menus. Service was quick and attentive. I decided to order the American in Paris breakfast. Two eggs, two strips of bacon, and the best brioche French toast I've ever had. It was fluffy, the creme wasn't overly sweet, topped with berries, and a hint of orange in every bite. You don't need the syrup of this French toast, it's perfect on its own. The fresh orange juice was also recommended! The one thing I think you can skip are the breakfast potatoes. The plate alone is plenty of food. So simple yet so satisfying. The space is small and seating is limited, so I got lucky at the time I went in. I'm sure it's packed in the morning. I'll definitely be back and I'm excited to try more! read more

Dish didn't have enough broth. Mussels had little to no meat within their shells. Polenta: a little too light for our taste. The dish was unsalted and just had no personality even with cheese. Croque monsieur: probably our least favorite dish. Couldn't even get to the second half of the sandwich and just gave up on this dish. The employees proceeded to ignore us for 30 minutes. they gave us waters and menus and then for 30 minutes the employees were too busy watching film trucks pass by to give us any decent service. They walked outside multiple times and each time we tried to get their attention they walked back inside. If you're going to force me to sit outside then have the decency to actually give adequate service. I found this restaurant on tik tok, and it's owned by a lovely French woman (who works right in the restaurant), so I wanted to support a small business- plus I love French food! I spotted the owner right away, she actually sat us, and I mentioned the tik tok to which she rolled her eyes haha! She said it's just because most people come in and just order what they saw when she built the menu to speak to different tastes and would prefer people to experience the menu based on their preferences. So she asked us a few questions and then recommended some dishes which was so kind and nice! We ended up getting an order of the soft scrambled eggs (add potatoes) and the breakfast sandwich that they kindly changed bacon to avocado since my friend is vegetarian. The soft scrambled eggs were HEAVEN- creamy, salted well, the cheese added that perfect kick and I loved the Provençal tomatoes. The highlights to me were the potato's- perfectly cooked and seasoned and flavorful and THE PESTO BREAD! Huge slices of rustic, chewy bread slathered in homemade pesto. The bfast sandwich was HUGE- egg done perfectly with melty cheese and everything is so seasoned and salted. It was served on a delicious brioche bun with a fresh green salad on the side. We were licking our plates clean. We also got an iced tea, an iced coffee and a chocolate hazelnut cookie for dessert. The cookie was to die for- huge hunks of good quality chocolate! You can tell that this restaurant focuses on simpler dishes made with top of the line ingredients. Everything going to the tables around us looked AMAZING!
