Ordered the following: Baguette with delice de bourgogne & jam: this sounded so interesting and while it was delicious it's just butter and jam. Loved the bread, though - nice outer crunch and fresh from the oven. Melon with tuna crudo: the sweet/savory fusion was really refreshing on this one. Ricotta dumplings: by far my favorite. Light, pillowy dumplings in this wonderfully rich mushroom-based broth. I'd return here solely to eat this again. Fried wax peppers with yogurt-mint sauce: another hit. The peppers weren't heavily battered or too oily, the sauce was really flavorful, especially that pop of mint. Service was excellent. A really charming place with great shareable dishes. read more

Super cute and cozy bistro, with excellent service and food. Totally worth the trip from the westside! We had the baguette with chicken liver mousse, the ricotta dumplings, the fried green beans, and the short rib rigatoni, and everything was amazing. The chicken liver mousse was the most traditional of the bunch, but the rest all had some unusual or special flavor combination that made the dish unique. We finished with the baked alaska, which I enjoyed too, even though I typically prefer my desserts to involve chocolate. We brought a special bottle of wine from home to celebrate and paid the corkage fee, but they do have a nice selection of wine by the glass and bottle. We absolutely loved celebrating my friends birthday here. The restaurant is so quaint and you feel you're in your families home. The service was exceptional. Our server Abby was friendly and helpful but not over the top- just right. The owner was lovely and brought the food to us . There's a number of shops that I like on this stretch of Glendale Boulevard, and I could see Henrietta being a a regular lunch spot after my two visits. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor sidewalk seating, and you order at the counter and get a number before finding an open table. While the service has limited frills, I liked that you could ask any menu questions you have before ordering; I also thought waitstaff checked on the table sufficiently during my meals. I got the chicken Milanese sandwich for my first meal, and it had elements of a Caesar salad including a creamy Caesar aioli and Parmesan cheese. The thin and breaded chicken cutlet had a great crispy texture but the sandwich was missing an acidic kick that would have taken it to the next level. On my return visit, I shared a market lettuce salad which came with a mountain of cheese shavings and a light vinaigrette touch. I could see how they transferred classic pork roast flavors to the turkey porchetta sandwich, and I liked how the fennel flavored sliced pickles complemented the sliced turkey. read more

The food is 10/10!! Everything we ordered was savory starting with the beef rigatoni softest beef topped with fresh cheese . The half chicken was juicy and crispy on the outside, it also came with some green lettuce salad with Ceaser dressing & pieces of bread. The tuna Crudo was fresh and citrusy - you don't regret ordering. OFC, we got dessert the Apple Galette with Vanilla Ice Cream also worth ordering! Great selection of wine and specialty cocktails. Omg and the sharing plates are the most cutest things ever!! This menu is meant for sharing we were a party of 3 so 6 player were suggested . We had a reservation at 545pm but came in 45 mins earlier the host & manager were able to accommodate us soon and gave us a table vs the high tops- which is what we had RSVPd for and all that was available. What a great little spot on a great up and coming block. This block really wants to be called Echo Park Village but Echo Park starts on the other side of Temple people. This part of town is called Temple-Beaudry just east of Filipino Town and South of Echo Park. The restaurant is very small. It was a nice night outside so we requested a sidewalk table. It was the perfect temperature that night. My friend ordered the Rock cod and I ordered the half chicken. Both were delicious. The restaurant is literally down the sidewalk from Clark Street bakery so they have the baguettes as their bread service. One of the options they offer is to serve it with delice de bourgogne and jam. Get this! But be warned. It is dangerous! The menu is fairly limited, but my friend and I were still completely full by the end of the meal. The CLARK STREET BAGUETTE is excellent, especially paired with one of the accompaniments--we chose the ROE. The BLUEFIN TUNA CRUDO and BEEF TARTARE TOAST were both standout dishes. The MARKET LETTUCES with lemon vinaigrette were a bit too lemon-forward for my taste, and I couldn't quite finish the salad. The RIGATONI was well executed but a little too salty for my preference. My friend felt the same way. We're probably a bit more sensitive to bold, intense flavors than most, but it's something worth noting. ENJOY! My girlfriends and I try to get together at least once a month -- no babies, just lunch (or dinner) and wine. This time we chose Henrietta's. First off, it's absolutely adorable. Such a charming little bistro with only a handful of tables, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation -- especially for dinner. It's an order-at-the-counter spot, and they bring everything out to you. I'm a sandwich girly, so that's where my eyes immediately go. We ordered two sandwiches, two salads, crispy potatoes, and the mushroom dip. The mushroom dip sandwich was so good. I'm not vegetarian, but I used to work for a vegan chef who could make mushrooms taste incredibly rich and satisfying -- and Henrietta's absolutely nailed it. The mushrooms were meaty and deeply flavorful, and the au jus was the perfect finishing touch. We also had the Shredder (their Italian sandwich), which was excellent, plus the avocado chopped salad and the chicken Caesar panzanella with sourdough croutons... drool. My boyfriend and I went out of our way to try this spot. I don't know how or why this place ended up on my Yelp bookmark list, but my visit did not impress me. I ordered a salad & my boyfriend had a sandwich and we shared a drink. I made eye contact with a waitress and said hi when I walked in, but she said nothing and did not acknowledge me. The cashier girl was the only attentive/friendly person there. For example, from the time we sat down after we ordered and until we got up and left, nobody checked on us if we needed anything. Yet, I saw the waitress and the manager checking on every other table if they needed anything, how the food is, etc. I needed a straw for my beverage but I never got a chance because no one came around. The food was whatever; it's hard to find a restaurant serving bad food in LA, but I couldn't help but notice the micro aggression. Won't be back. We ordered the snap peas & avocado salad ($21), beef tartare toast ($24), ricotta dumplings ($32), and half chicken ($37). The salad was way too overpriced for the portion size and there wasn't anything special about it. Maybe other than the snap peas were slightly charred? The beef tartare was okay. I think if the toast was not as thick, the flavor would be more balanced. The char on the toast was the main flavor. The ricotta dumplings were the best thing we ate that night, mostly because of the broth. It was equally light and full bodied, I could've had an entire bowl of the broth to myself! The ricotta dumplings were good but definitely needed the broth to complete it. Otherwise, it was just okay on its own. The dish comes with two dumplings. The half chicken was good. The charr on the chicken was perfect. The chicken breast was on the dry side though. The salad was more on the bitter side and it lingered. I liked that the bread was mixed in the salad and soaked up the chicken juice. I think there is room for improvement in terms of the food quality. The pricing definitely doesn't make sense. Half a chicken was only $5 more than the ricotta dumplings?? Idk. $21 for 5 endive leaves, snap peas, maybe a quarter of an avocado... the most overpriced item on the menu for sure. read more

We went to Henrietta with our friends Cindy K. and Will S. when we all had babysitting on a Thursday night. There were no reservations available near 7:00, our preferred time, so we decided to try our luck walking in. We were pleased to find free lot parking and a light crowd, and got a table for four, no problem. It was a high top near the door, probably not the best table in the house, but it suited our purposes just fine. The restaurant was charming, cute and small with a European wine bar by way of Echo Park vibe. (The location is not what I tend to think of as Echo Park, but if you've been to the Clark Street, it's on that same stretch.) I guess it's a sandwich shop by day and an elegant bistro by night. It must be at least a little trendy because at one point a very made-up woman came in and recorded footage of the dining room on her phone (please tell me if you see me on TikTok). Service was great. We had a helpful, handsome waiter (another sign this is a trendy spot) who talked movies with us and attended to all our needs. We got a couple bottles of a French red blend, the Domaine La Grange Tiphaine Touraine "Ad Libitum," and enjoyed a fun, relaxing dinner. The menu was short, everything made to share, and we got eight of the twelve dishes (I'm counting the bread and accompaniments as one). Portions were on the small side, but no one left hungry, and the food was delicious. The bread was not free, but it was fantastic. Fresh Clark Street baguette, presumably from the bakery next door. We ordered two and added the cultured butter and chicken liver. The butter was rich, creamy, and yellow, and the liver might have been the best dish of the night. It was velvety and flavorful, finished with scallion, pickled onion, and some kind of jammy, vinegary sauce. The bluefin tuna crudo was firm and silky, served with blood orange, knob onion, and Fresno chile. The ricotta dumplings made a warm, rustic dish, soft and delicate in a dark broth with morel, English pea, shaved cacciocavallo cheese, and Madeira. We had a nice snap pea and avocado salad with tangerine, endive, and buttermilk, and two excellent vegetable dishes from the sidesy part of the menu. Fried broccolini came with green chile, honey, yogurt, and mint; grilled asparagus with pistachio, dukkah, and tahini. On the more substantial side, the rigatoni was quite good, doughy pasta with short rib, Bloomsdale spinach, Banyuls (a fortified wine), and pecorino. And the vermillion rock cod was rock solid, a beautifully cooked piece of fish served with cucumber, lime, pepita, and zhoug. We had a lovely time at this new restaurant and I'd be happy to go back, both for dinner and for the lunchtime sandwiches, which look outstanding. Henrietta is an elegant little place, well worth visiting for a leisurely night out. read more

First of all, the staff is amazing. They were super friendly and had great recommendations. I forgot to take pictures of my food because I was so hungry lol but everything was SO good. We got the broccolini, squash, potatoes, and the ricotta dumplings. The flavors on everything were amazing. My favorites were the dumplings and the broccolini. Would definitely come back again. My partner and I came here by chance because we were walking by it and the food and the staff did not disappoint! Chef Alexis is incredible, and it was so sweet than she came up to serve us our food for every dish. It was all incredible- highlights for me were the tempura broccoli and the chocolate tart! The other staff were also so kind and welcoming - not what I was expecting from a fancy place. 11/10 food - it is a little pricey but it's legit farmers market stuff w a rotating menu. Would give this place a 6/10 for dinner and a 9/10 for lunch/market. The food is (mostly) excellent, with just a couple misses (don't get the pork or burrata). But the dinner portions are laughably small. They tell you it's meant to share, but then give you plates to split dumplings in broth? And three paper thin slices of persimmon with a couple endive leaves as a $16 salad? Dinner: The ricotta dumplings are awesome. We also got the grilled fish (also delicious), the pork (meh- wouldn't get again), the burrata (fine), the persimmon salad (very good but don't get- the portion is laughably small- a few tiny slices on a plate). The honey nut squash crème brûlée was alright but could have been a little sweeter (imagine pumpkin pie meets crème brûlée). The biggest problem with dinner is how small the portions are. Very. Very small. The fish was maybe a quarter of a filet? You can get three times the amount of branzino up on sunset from Donna's for less money. We spent $250 between 3 people for a light snack. Some of our party went to the taco truck after. SKIP COMING HERE FOR DINNER. Instead, go for lunch. The lunch portions are normal and the prices are better. The sandwiches are awesome. The mushroom dip and the turkey sandwich are both bangers. It's a different menu but it's still good with quality ingredients. The deli case offerings are also good. And they have a cute market area. The staff is friendly and great. It's a nice addition to the neighborhood, but the portion sizing is too small for the price point. I'm guessing it has to be high since they only have 6 tables. It's a lot of overhead for such few tabletops. Since they can't do enough volume in sales, you're likely paying more for the rent and labor than you are for the food. You can find this quality of food at other places with better portions and lower prices. Definitely give it a try. Just be prepared. read more

Got another Shredder, the Chicken Milanese and the potatoes. These dishes are so well balanced in flavor, texture and color, can't wait to explore the rest of the menu. We had the baguette with all the sides and especially loved the liver moose and the butter that they make in house. The tuna Crudo was outstanding. And the beef tartar was as advertised by our waiter, like your friends, older brother who got really cool and smoked cigarettes. It really packs a punch not your typical tartar. The ricotta dumplings come in a mushroom broth that is pure comfort food, and so tasty. We had an endive salad with persimmon that was light and cleansing before moving onto The Seabass, pork collar and chicken. All were excellent. The fried broccolini and Henrietta potatoes made lovely sides. I'll have to come back and order less so I can save room for dessert next time. I loved my visit to Henrietta. The vibe was cozy, the food was DELICIOUS and the wine was... incredible. I am a vegetarian and my favorite dishes were the ricotta dumplings, persimmon salad, broccolini and the jam and cheese (so perfect on the baguette).
