I've had spicy vodka rigatoni everywhere, and nothing has ever lived up to what I imagined it could be until the malai rigatoni here. This was easily a 10/10. So saucy, incredibly flavorful, perfectly creamy, and the pasta was cooked to the perfect al dente. No notes. Just insanely delicious. The chicken wings were just okay. I liked the unique twist with the achaar masala and cayenne chilies, but they didn't wow me. I'd probably skip these next time and try a different chicken instead. I was stuck between the pepperoni playboy and the chutney pija; bartender recommended the pepperoni, and I can see why. It had a crispy base with a sweet kick from the onions and honey. Dipped in the yogurt sauce... so good. Dessert was the caramel toffee banana soft serve, and it did not disappoint. Super smooth and creamy with a strong (not artificial) banana flavor, and the toffee on top added the perfect crunch. We had a reservation at noon on a recent Sunday. The five of us shared a variety of dishes: Caesar salad - great for sharing Dosa onion rings - almost like eating an onion donut! First off our waitress AnnaLee was absolutely the sweetest human. She was super attentive and had such a calming presence about her. She made the meal that much better. Attached to some kind of hotel with limited parking, the location is admittedly a bit random. Featured on the LA Times 101 list and earning a Michelin Bib Gourmand in years past, this restaurant had been notoriously difficult to get a reservation at. However, it looks like that initial hype may have died down a bit, as we were able to grab reservations just an hour before arrival this past Friday for dinner around 5:15pm. To eat, the two of us split the Chutney Pijja ($24) with green chile and Nihari Lamb & Macaroni ($29). If I had to choose a favorite between the two dishes, it would probably be the pasta. Service was friendly and quick. In terms of ambiance, I loved how they had a variety of basketball games on. Beer prices were pretty reasonable, making this a great place to catch a game at. For the longest time, Pijja Palace was a notoriously difficult reservation to snag. The Italian-Indian fusion sports bar was an intriguing concept that many, including myself, were eager to try. But what it aspires for in theory, ultimately falls apart in execution. Just the day before, I was able to book a Saturday 4:30pm reservation for two on Resy. I was initially shocked there was any availability at all, so I grabbed it immediately -- here's how the experience went. Parking Nightmarish parking is expected anywhere in Silver Lake, but we were lucky enough to snag a metered spot a short walk away. Arrival & First Impressions The interior was a vibe. Warm, low-lit ambient lighting balanced the intense glow of TVs in every direction, while wood accents and tile created an open, inviting feel despite the relatively small space. We were seated within five minutes at a center table, and immediately noticed how tightly packed the seating was. My partner, who's 5'1, was practically shoulder-to-shoulder with the diner next to her, and the table itself barely had enough room for the place settings. Service Service started strong with water being served to us right away, but quickly slowed from there. We didn't see our server, or place our order, until about 20 minutes in. The food then trickled out slowly over the next hour. Our server eventually did mention that their kitchen was backed up, which explained why our pizza took over 45 minutes to arrive. Food Dosa Onion Rings ($16): The batter was thick and cake-like. While they came out hot, the coating was clumpy, dry, and difficult to eat. The accompanying mango chutney was sweet, spicy, and provided a much-needed bit of moisture. Malai rigatoni ($28): Lightly-spicy and creamy tomato masala sauce coated the well-cooked pasta nicely, but the dish was surprisingly bland. We even ordered a side of salt to compensate for the missing seasoning. Chutney Pijja ($24): The spicy-tart chutney was enjoyable, but the thick layer of rubbery cheese and chewy crust made it difficult to get through more than a couple of slices. *Glass of Orange/Skin Contact ($16): As expected, a very tannic wine with floral notes and hints of stone fruit. I would definitely try to go in person because the pizzas just take so good when it comes out of the kitchen. This restaurant is located in Silver Lake. There's a small lot in the front or street parking. I came here on a Friday night and it was definitely a little bit of struggle to find parking. The service was super good, the restaurant is on the smaller side so the tables are a little bit of a tight squeeze. My favorite items are the tikki masala pizza and the fries. Good Indian fusion spot but definitely on the pricey side! I came here with a party of four Saturday afternoon around 3:00 pm and it wasn't crowded at all. I had reservations just in case but definitely didn't need them. The menu is pretty straightforward with one page of food items and one page of drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). We shared a bunch of items family style: Paneer parm sandwich ($18) Dosa onion rings ($16) Nihari lamb and macaroni ($27) Malai rigatoni ($28) Custom pizza with makhani sauce ($17 + half chicken and half paneer) The lamb pasta was probably my favorite dish of the meal, though I did find the lamb chunks a bit on the bland side even though they were very tender. If you like cream based pastas, the malai rigatoni would be right up your alley, but it was a little too creamy for me personally. I also really liked the chicken half of the pizza, but didn't like how they priced everything on the whole pizza even though we only got a lot of ingredients on half. For example, they charged $6 for chicken and same for paneer, even though we only had each on half the pizza so it would've made more sense to charge half the price. Some friends tried the paneer sandwich, which they found was the best item of the whole meal. It's a chunky piece of paneer, so would highly recommend this if you're a fan. Dosa onion rings were very interesting since the lentil batter gave the onion rings a slightly different flavor than what I'm used to. Also I found the lentil batter too thick. It's neither distinctly Italian nor Indian, but a perfect marriage of both. I love everything off their menu, but I have some definite favorites. The dosa onion rings ($16) are a great way to start the meal. The urad lentil batter gives churro - great exterior crunch with a soft, cake-y inside. Paired with a mango chutney, each bite is a sweet and savory delight. The Caesar salad ($17) is quite good if you want to add some green into your meal. You can't really go wrong with any of the pastas, but I never not order the malai rigatoni ($28). The large tubular pasta gets coated in this creamy tomato masala. It's a vegetarian dish, but you don't even miss the presence of meat. The coriander gives a warm, spicy undertone to the sauce. It is a divine bite of pasta. I also love nihari lamb + shells ($29). The lamb flavoring isn't too, too strong, but just enough to suggest lamb. It's generally served with a smaller pasta ie macaroni or shell. It's a dainty bite with robust flavors. Do the wings. Came here on a Tuesday night and have been extremely excited to try out this place. Green Tikka Masala 3/5 - I was hoping that there would be more toppings to this pizza and more sauce but I really liked the idea and concept of it. After dipping it in some of pasta sauce, I liked it a lot more but felt a little underwhelming. Mango Malai Lemonade 4/5 - I actually loved the consistency of this lemonade and it was a type of lemonade I have never tried before. I loved the flavors and everything worked well together. Whoof, the fries were hotter than I was expecting. Solid 7/10 on flavor but the spice was just a bit much for little ol me. Onion rings were killer, especially with that mango chutney - 10/10. What makes fusion food, well, fusion food in 2025? The concept has existed longer than Yelp's been around. In Pijja Palace's case, is it the combination of Indian food with distinctly American sports bar food? The parking lot it shares with a Comfort Inn, which it plays off as an effortlessly cool Silver Lake quirk? Or the fact that it's beloved by both TikTok and every other person you talk to in Los Angeles? For all three of these reasons, it can be hard to time your visit, especially if you're venturing to this part of town from the Westside. Try to get here as soon as they open on a weekday evening. (Close your laptop a little earlier and play hooky! That's what work from home is for.) We were seated at the bar a little before 6 pm. I'm loath to admit that I have the most generic and basic go-to orders at Indian restaurants (chicken tikka masala) so the green tikka masala pizza was calling my name. It wasn't very green when it arrived in front of us nor did I really care for the onions (or see how they elevated the pizza). But the turkey on top was delicious! Petition for turkey tikka masala to be more of a thing. I also tried some of my friend's Benny Boy Brewing green tea cider. You can really taste the tea in it! We've been wanting to try Pijja Palace for a while now, and there's definitely been a lot of hype surrounding it! The staff is very friendly, and the overall vibes are great. The place itself is cute, modern, and welcoming. There is limited parking available, though, so that's something to keep in mind. The food is essentially bar food with Indian flavors. The menu is small, but easy to navigate. We tried the fries, onion rings, two types of wings, and two types of pizzas. Overall, the food was good, but my favorite part was definitely the pizza crust, it was amazing. The onion rings were pretty good too. The fries, however, weren't my favorite. They were heavily seasoned, which didn't quite hit the mark for me. Buffalo wings were quite tough for some reason. But the Hari Mirch Masala wings were very juicy. Such a fun place to watch sports games at! Came in on a Sunday and it was a bit busy with people watching the Football game. We were able to get seated in 15 minutes for a table of 2. The waiter was very kind and lovely! Enjoyed the Rigatoni and the Lychee Fizz drink. Their dishes were flavorful and unique. I can't wait to come back to try their other dishes:) read more

Yum yum yum yum yum! The Malai Rigatoni was the best in my opinion. That was my dish which I shared amongst my friends but man I'd order it again for myself next time. It was rich and creamy and flavorful and a little chewy of the rigatoni. The dosa onion rings with mango chutney were pretty good. Nice and fat onion rings. The star was the mango chutney which we used on the chicken wings and the chutney pizza. Which were the two least favorite at the table. The place was hip and had plenty of TV's throughout the dining area. All sorts of sports games and plenty of beer and wine to choose from. The service was good as they'd check on us and fill our waters. They do have a tiny parking lot that they share with a motel but they have plenty of street parking all around. read more

after hearing so many good things about pijja palace, i was really excited to finally try it out. making reservations on resy was pretty easy the first thing i didn't love was how close together the tables were. we were a party of two and were seated just inches away from the tables next to us. it might not have been as big of an issue if the neighboring table wasn't so loud- i could hear their entire conversation, and the noise eventually gave me a headache that said, the food itself was great. the mango malai was delicious, really tart with a slight spicy kick. the malai rigatoni was especially memorable- the sauce was a perfect blend of italian and indian flavors without being too overbearing. the tikka pizza was good, but it was way too salty and could have used more indian flavor overall overall, it's a solid spot for good food, though everything leaned a bit too salty for my taste. i'd come back, but would definitely request a booth next time parking is also a bit of a hassle since there's only a small lot available read more

Came here for a date night. The vibes were high, the service was great and the food was fresh and DELICIOUS I tell you! Indian fused with Italian / bar food is something I never thought I needed in my life until this night. We ordered the Green Chili Chutney Cheese Pizza it had a thin crust cheesy exterior and was sweet, tangy and a lil spicy from that chutney. The Caesar salad, was AMAZING, fresh crunchy and refreshing. The Hari Mirsh Masala wings were spicy and very reminiscent of buffalo wings. The Dosa Onion Rings are a MUST get! The best onion rings I've ever had, the way the ring held together after two bites left me thoroughly impressed and the FLAVOR!? Explosive, the sauce takes it over the top! Wow! I was pleasantly surprised by the food at this little hidden gem! We were staying at the hotel above and wanted to eat close so we thought we'd give it a shot and let me tell you, the food was full of flavor and over the top delicious! I had the build your own pizza with the white sauce and added chicken and garlic, which was a perfect combination! I also had the Caesar salad and it was honestly the best Caesar salad I've ever had! My sister had the Malai Rigatoni and it had me wishing I had ordered that as well. Again, full of flavor, super creamy and just perfect. I highly recommend the Pijja Palace to everyone. read more

Pijja Palace is one of those places where you take one bite and immediately understand the hype. We ordered the samosa pizza and I genuinely did not expect it to work this well. The crust was perfectly crisp with that golden, slightly cheesy edge, and then you get hit with the spiced potato filling, little pops of peas, caramelized onions, and that bright green chutney drizzle on top. It tastes exactly like a samosa but in pizza form, which sounds chaotic until you try it and realize it just makes sense. I love when a restaurant leans into a concept and executes it confidently.
