Busy vibrant spot especially on a Friday evening. I'd been hearing a long time about this magical place that made "Indian Pizza" and was oddly positioned on the ground floor of a Comfort Inn. I present to you Pija Palace. Let's start with the service. Exceptional. Truly. This place isn't pretentious. It's warm, inviting and the waitresses go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need on the table. Here were the favorites of the evening: 1. Malai Rigatoni--do not skip 2. Chutney Pijja 3. Pepperoni Playboy

Finally got to try pijja palace and the malai rigatoni itself is worth the trip, it has so much flavor and the rigatoni is cooked so perfectly. It was so good I used the pizza crusts to scrape up all the sauce The pizzas weren't as big of a hit for me, they were interesting but I kept wanting more of the rigatoni instead. Will definitely be back to try the other pasta dishes bc if the other pastas are anything like the rigatoni, they must be amazing

Place is very good but I think overhyped. Cute inside, looks like in between a diner and something cutesy modern. The wings were still a little spicy! Pizzas were both delicious, I got the white sauce, garlic, onions, and chicken Tikka! Service was very fast and checked in quite a bit. Definitely make a reservation, there's a small parking lot.

I'd heard so much about this place that I was happy to finally check it out. FOOD 4/5 We tried 2 pizzas, a burger, and wine. All of the food was flavorful but the Lamb Burger was my absolute favorite hands down. I will definitely be ordering that again. The Chutney pizza was good but not my preference for pizza flavor although I applaud them for the uniqueness of the pizza flavor. The Tikka Masala pizza I liked better than the Chutney but glad I tried them both. Chutney 3/5 Tikka Masala 3.5/5 Lamb Burger 5+/5 (These ratings are not implying the pizza wasn't good, just that they weren't my favorite preference-wise. I'm more of a sweet and or traditional pizza girlie) SERVICE The service was good, our server made recommendations and gave us tips for what was popular. The food came out relatively fast, and everything looked amazing. AMBIANCE I really like the vibe of this place. From the outside it's not much to look at but as soon as you look inside it gives the vibes of a high end members only lounge. I even liked how sitting at the bar looked. The lighting was great and perfect for a trendy date night. PARKING They had a lot directly at the restaurant so parking was relatively easy. When we got there there were no spots but someone left within 7-10 minutes so we got a spot fast. All in all I had a great experience here and definitely think you should check this place out. They had some wings I was curious about, and some artisan cocktails that looked delicious. I will be coming back to try more things!

Indian and Italian fusion! Something we didn't know we needed, but now we absolutely love, love, love! This is such a creative concept and a delicious restaurant. We had a reservation at noon on a recent Sunday. The five of us shared a variety of dishes: Caesar salad - great for sharing Dosa onion rings - almost like eating an onion donut! Garlic bread - we probably didn't need it, but it was still good to try Lamb macaroni - I don't eat lamb, but everyone else really enjoyed it Malai rigatoni - delicious with a little kick Palace BBQ chicken wings - so flavorful and tasty For pizza, we ordered both the chutney pizza and the samosa pizza, and they were amazing! Packed with flavor and such a fun twist on pizza. I liked the samosa pizza just a little bit more. Who knew Indian flavors could work so well on a pizza? Overall, this is a fantastic spot that's both unique and delicious. Definitely a place worth trying, and one we'd happily return to!

Such a wonderful experience from start to finish! We made a reservation morning of and were seated as soon as we got to the restaurant. Parking lot is small, but we were able to snag a spot. The restaurant was packed, so highly recommended making a reservation! We ordered the achaari buffalo wings and green chile chutney pizza to share. Wings were crispy and slight spicy, but mostly a mild buffalo flavor. Pizza was thin and crispy, and the green chutney was spicy and slightly sour - it was perfect! Service was 10/10. Our server was so friendly and attentive. Highly recommended!!

I have been waiting to try this spot for at least 4 years and finally the stars aligned. Me and my husband came to LA to visit our friends and planned ahead to get a reservation. First off our waitress AnnaLee was absolutely the sweetest human. She was super attentive and had such a calming presence about her. She made the meal that much better. The food was everything I hoped for and more. We tried almost the entire menu as we were a party of 8. I would say the things that stuck out to me the most was the lamb pasta, green chili masala wings, the tikka masala pizza, and the onion rings. Which is crazy because I do not like onion rings but everyone was pressuring me to try and OMG AMAZING! We also tried the other 2 wing flavors, rigatoni, the Caesar salad, chutney pizza (green chili) and pepperoni pizza. Everything was divine! Needless to say it was worth the wait but I'm sad we waited so long because it was so good. Would happily come back when we're in town.

This place had such a cool little vibe, and literally a TV at every angle. Great sports bar I guess, but I've heard such good things about the food here!!! It's been on my list for a while and it did not disappoint! The malai rigatoni was the go to and it is the go to for a reason. The sauce is so so yummy and the rigatoni has a goood chew. I could eat this up every day. The pizza was so unique and I thought the turkey kofta on top was such a good topping and not dry at all?? Amazing. So yummy. Crust was good too. We ordered the bbq wings, and to be honest, they were a little lackluster in comparison to the other items and I wished they went a little heavier on the tamarind but maybe that's just my palette. The place was packed but we got immediately seated as a group of 3 around 8pm on a Monday night (holiday monday). And the staff was very nice! I will definitely for sure be back!!!! Yum yum yum, if you haven't gone, please try it B)

Came back for a birthday dinner! Holy cow, the HABANERO CHUTNEY pizza might be my new favorite pizza ever. No pics, bc I ate it all, without thinking of anything else.

*** Los Angeles Times 101 Best Restaurants (2022): #54 *** Pijja Palace is an Indian-Italian fusion restaurant and sports bar located on Sunset Blvd in Silver Lake. Attached to some kind of hotel with limited parking, the location is admittedly a bit random. Featured on the LA Times 101 list and earning a Michelin Bib Gourmand in years past, this restaurant had been notoriously difficult to get a reservation at. However, it looks like that initial hype may have died down a bit, as we were able to grab reservations just an hour before arrival this past Friday for dinner around 5:15pm. To eat, the two of us split the Chutney Pijja ($24) with green chile and Nihari Lamb & Macaroni ($29). If I had to choose a favorite between the two dishes, it would probably be the pasta. Service was friendly and quick. In terms of ambiance, I loved how they had a variety of basketball games on. Beer prices were pretty reasonable, making this a great place to catch a game at. While I wouldn't go too far out of my way to come here, I'd say it's worth checking out if you're curious and in the area.

This place is phenomenal! We got the onion rings, the malai rigatoni, and the green chile chutney pijja, and all of them were soooo good! I truly haven't had fusion food this good in so long, and I will be coming back to try everything else on the menu! The wait time can be a little long, but it goes by fast. We were told to wait about 90 mins but got in after 30 mins instead. There also isn't much parking, but you can go down the street for free or metered parking depending on the time of day.

Dosa Onion Rings ($16): The batter was thick and cake-like. While they came out hot, the coating was clumpy, dry, and difficult to eat.

For the longest time, Pijja Palace was a notoriously difficult reservation to snag. The Italian-Indian fusion sports bar was an intriguing concept that many, including myself, were eager to try. But what it aspires for in theory, ultimately falls apart in execution. Just the day before, I was able to book a Saturday 4:30pm reservation for two on Resy. I was initially shocked there was any availability at all, so I grabbed it immediately -- here's how the experience went. Parking Nightmarish parking is expected anywhere in Silver Lake, but we were lucky enough to snag a metered spot a short walk away. Arrival & First Impressions The interior was a vibe. Warm, low-lit ambient lighting balanced the intense glow of TVs in every direction, while wood accents and tile created an open, inviting feel despite the relatively small space. We were seated within five minutes at a center table, and immediately noticed how tightly packed the seating was. My partner, who's 5'1, was practically shoulder-to-shoulder with the diner next to her, and the table itself barely had enough room for the place settings. Service Service started strong with water being served to us right away, but quickly slowed from there. We didn't see our server, or place our order, until about 20 minutes in. The food then trickled out slowly over the next hour. Our server eventually did mention that their kitchen was backed up, which explained why our pizza took over 45 minutes to arrive. Food Dosa Onion Rings ($16): The batter was thick and cake-like. While they came out hot, the coating was clumpy, dry, and difficult to eat. The accompanying mango chutney was sweet, spicy, and provided a much-needed bit of moisture. Malai rigatoni ($28): Lightly-spicy and creamy tomato masala sauce coated the well-cooked pasta nicely, but the dish was surprisingly bland. We even ordered a side of salt to compensate for the missing seasoning. Chutney Pijja ($24): The spicy-tart chutney was enjoyable, but the thick layer of rubbery cheese and chewy crust made it difficult to get through more than a couple of slices. *Glass of Orange/Skin Contact ($16): As expected, a very tannic wine with floral notes and hints of stone fruit. FINAL THOUGHTS I was overall disappointed by my experience. Despite the slow service, the idea of marrying Indian flavors with Italian dishes is exciting -- but the execution didn't live up to the promise. Total time from arrival: ~1.5 hours (4:30pm - 5:56pm). Grand total: $101.19 (tax and tip included) *not pictured

Great Indian sports bar, lots of TV and great food. I have ate here in person and also gone take out. I would definitely try to go in person because the pizzas just take so good when it comes out of the kitchen. This restaurant is located in Silver Lake. There's a small lot in the front or street parking. I came here on a Friday night and it was definitely a little bit of struggle to find parking. The service was super good, the restaurant is on the smaller side so the tables are a little bit of a tight squeeze. My favorite items are the tikki masala pizza and the fries. The pizzas toppings are so good and the fries are cooked perfectly. I really also enjoy the seasoning and the sauces. It's a little spicy but pretty tolerable for me. When I did take out, I ordered 2 pizzas and the fries. Tasted pretty much the same but I would definitely warm it up again if it got cold because the pizza here tastes the best when it's warm. Definitely come here for chill hang out and good food. I will be back again.

To end the night before we headed off to dinner, we stopped by The Semi- Tropic bar for drinks. The parking situation was difficult to say the least-- there is no street parking or parking lot. And the neighborhood behind the bar is filled with park cars. We were lucky and parked at a parking lot that was for the surrounding business (so sorry to the pizza/ weed shop!). We arrived at around 6:30 PM so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted by one of the servers and she gave us options to either sit at a lounge table area or hightop tables. We opted for the hightop tables because we knew we weren't staying there for long. The server was friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for drinks. I've been sober for about a year so I only had water, my boyfriend ordered a Naoshima Dream, his cousin ordered a Mango Cart, and his cousin's girlfriend ordered a Lemon Drop Martini. The bar was super cute and hipster! I honestly would have loved going to this bar back when I used to drink. It's dimly lit, had a vintage 20's speakeasy feel to it and the music was a vibe. I'd recommend coming here for a little date with your partner or even coming with a group of friends. My boyfriend had been here once before and he said the food was really good and affordable. He had a panini and said for bar food it was a 10/10. We waited maybe like 10 minutes for our drinks to come, we were having such a fun time chatting and enjoying the environment that it didn't feel long at all. My boyfriend, his cousin, and his cousin's girlfriend really enjoyed their drinks. They said the drinks tasted "light" insinuating that there was barely any alcohol in it. Don't let the taste fool you, after finishing half of their drink there were full of smiles, giggles, and had a great buzz going. The prices here were all pretty fair for the cost and quality of the drinks. Would defintely recommend coming here for drinks and dinner for a date night or a night out with friends!
