    Price to add chicken.
    Kevin L.

We've been ordering from Mixto on DoorDash for a while. My wife enjoys their Mixto Bowls, which normally come with steak. We noticed there's a version with chicken that costs the same, so we asked to swap the steak for chicken in two bowls. The issue is that the chicken version has rice and the steak version has kale. Rather than paying the $3.70 to add chicken in addition to the steak, we figured it was a simple, even exchange and submitted the request. Instead, we received a message from DoorDash saying the substitution would cost $16 -- which felt excessive and confusing, especially since both bowls are priced the same on the menu. We contacted Door Dash and they could it substantiate the charge. But they wouldn't do anything about it. Watch this store very closely on the billing.

Yes it's essentially a takeout , it's food is 5 star. Helpful counter service. Minimalist good vibes.

Healthy Mexican food stand in Silver Lake. Came here for a casual dinner with a friend on a Thursday evening and ate at their outdoor area. No indoor dining available. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant but it's a bit tight. There is a bathroom and it's very clean - props to the team for that. I got a vegan burrito with the peach habanero salsa - it's on the smaller side but it is indeed healthy. My friend for some tacos along with a side of corn. I also got a dairy-free horchata that was a good level of sweetness. Credit cards accepted. Takeout is also available.

The food here is really good and affordable. They have a nice little patio where you can sit and wait for your food. We've been here many times and we keep coming back.

Kinda small compared to what I was expecting for a "5 inch" taco, especially for a $5 taco. Rice was okay but didn't taste like anything.

DELICIOUS!!!! Cute, little, walk up to order Restaurant with wonderful Mexican food! Ordered the special of the day, chicken Stew on cilantro rice with avocado and plantains and half a Mixto salad. The chicken was super tender, and so yummy! The half salad was a really big size and the dressing was delicious. It was a little too much dressing for me. Next time I'll get it on the side. Really enjoyed sitting outside on their open air patio listening to great Christmas music.!!

Waiting room. Couple of tables to dine

Great spot for fresh, organic and healthy food. Parking is available in the back, but it's usually a bit busy, expect a 5-10 minute wait during peak hours. Totally worth it though! The salads here are super delicious fresh ingredients, great portions, and creative flavors. Definitely a go-to for a quick, satisfying meal.

It's New Year's Day and it's open! We ordered the carne asada bowl and Seco de pollo bowl. The chicken and carne asada were tender and delicious. The rice was very good and the portion size is perfect. Staff is accommodating and went above and beyond to turn the heater on for us. There's a small, casual, dining patio with good Spanish music playing in the background.

Free-Range Chicken Bowl (I had asked to sub rice for cabbage, and they didn't put either in, this is how it arrived. $12.50)

We normally put the salsa inside unless you want it on the side. Thanks!

Does the cilantro cream salsa have dairy in it?

Hi Sandra, Yes the cilantro cream salsa does have dairy. It is the only salsa we make that contains dairy. Thanks for your business.…

Is it just me or is Mixto undergoing new management?

Hi Jose, we have been working on improvements and will continue to do so. The majority of the shift leaders have not changed. I hope you had a good experience. Thanks for your inquiry.

We ordered a variety of dishes to share, and everything was presented really well. The enchiladas were flavorful, the grilled fish was cooked perfectly, and the tortillas with the short rib were a table favorite. Portions were great for sharing, and the sauces really tied everything together. Service was friendly and our server checked in on us throughout the night without making us feel rushed. It did get a little busy, so there were a few waits between courses, but nothing that took away from the experience. Our waiter then told us we needed a specific Dine LA reservation, something that was never mentioned when I called or when I made the reservation. I've been to plenty of Dine LA restaurants and have never experienced this. The service wasn't necessarily bad, but it was very dismissive. No apology, no real explanation--they basically just brushed it off. Thankfully, the food saved the night! The Michelada oysters were TO DIE FOR--seriously one of the best oyster flavors I've ever had. We also had the short rib plate, which was delicious. The outdoor atmosphere and decor are really cute too. I would come back, but ONLY for those oysters--definitely not for the service.

Sonoratown was our first stop as it was highly recommended by my boyfriend's brother, and it did not disappoint. It immediately earned a spot in our top five favorite taco spots for carne asada in all of Southern California! The location that we went to is located in between Elysium DTLA and Perfumeria Starlux on E 8th St in downtown LA. There is only paid(?) street parking around the area that could be extremely difficult to find during work days. Because we couldn't snag a spot, my friends and I opted for takeout and didn't end up eating until about 30 minutes later. Despite the travel time, the tacos were still absolutely incredible--I can only imagine how spectacular it tastes fresh! My friends and I ordered the carne asada tacos, and my boyfriend opted for the cabeza. Before I even took a full bite, I tasted a piece of the loose carne asada and was blown away; it was perfectly cooked with a wonderful tenderness and deep smokiness. The use of a single, thin, handmade flour tortilla--rather than the standard double corn--was a total game-changer and exactly how I preferred my tacos. The salsas were equally impressive, offering fantastic flavor and a great kick. My boyfriend's cabeza taco was just as standout, featuring super-tender meat with a rich, savory profile. Wowowow! Between the exceptional meat quality, bold flavors, and great value, this is easily one of the best taco spots I've visited. It's a huge bummer that they don't have a location down in San Diego, but we will definitely be back!

Cute building with lovely patio seating: from the trailing hanging pothos plants, Spanish tiles, to relaxing latin-house music the vibes were welcoming. I'm not much of a drinker though, when asked if I wanted to make my pina colada a "float" I thought incorrectly about ice cream. It was graciously explained that you take an additional shot of rum and float it on top of the drink or mix in to make it extra boozy. The pina colada is top notch they hollow out a real pineapple to make the drink and it's the size of your face! The watermelon cocktail was delicious and there is also a mezcal option. Tasted like if a watermelon aqua Fresca was combined with a margarita, there is a hint of salt that brings out the fruit sweetness. We special ordered a bunch of different proteins and vegetables at half portions to make a feast: Aguachile- Light refreshing starter, kanpachi perfectly marinated and great for the summer heat. Crispy potato- Phenomenally done fingerling potatoes. Whipped beans- Carnitas on top made this dish. Fried chicken tacos- Found the chicken slightly on the dry side, if there was a creamy/thicker sauce would be even better... nothing wrong with flavor, good mild heat. I did enjoy the fresh shredded cabbage and carrots, reminded me of bahn mi. Empanadas- Loved the acidity of the sauce that cut through the fattiness of the ground meat. Light shell. Crispy Squash flower- Delicate crunch, like an angelic version of a jalapeno popper. Lamb chops- Definition of "treat-yourself" luxurious meat lollipops. Celery salad- Simple dish but the lemon flavor and tartness really helped break up the richness of other dishes. Churros- Light crunch and small, petite dessert. The thin caramel sauce is addicting. Fine dining, for those special occasions or if you just want to splurge for a morale boost highly recommend this restaurant. Valet parking or park across the street or around the corner in a lot for $5-10.
