Pastelitos de carne.

Good customer service. Salvadoran food is absolutely bomb. I'm definitely coming back.

Pupusas & 3 Empanadas
Ana F.

Authentic Salvadoran restaurant! The pupusas are amazing. The vibe was casual and homey nothing fancy, but that's part of the charm. Service was friendly, and the prices were super reasonable for how filling everything was.

Pupusas with curtido and salsa roja.
Oscar M.

Hands down some of the better pupusas I've had. I had 3 pupusas revueltas (consisting of cheese, beans, and meat). I ate at the restaurant so I was also brought a big ol' container with curtido (Salvadoran slaw) and a bottle of red sauce. Service was quick, food was delicious, diet was broken. Worth a visit if you're in the area!

Really great food, cozy ambiance and the waitresses are kind and attentive. Definitely recommend!

Adorable and friendly spot with super tasty pupusas which were order to go- can't wait to try the rest of the menu Also, there clearly been a big renovation since last restaurant photos posted on here- and they have a second wheelchair accessible entrance

Higado encebollado
Elissa M.

This is one of those restaurants that adheres to the "no vibe/great food" formula for LA restaurants. I was surprised to see higado encebollado on the menu (liver and onions) which is one of my dirty secret favorites as a (mostly) vegetarian. I haven't found a good place for it yet in LA. The places that do have it prepare it in the American way and is typically pretty dry and chewy (but I still order it, lol). This was hands down the best L&O I've ever had. Sort of more stewed than sautéed, in a light, tomato-y sauce. Very tender and so very well complimented by the refried beans and thick, Salvadoran style tortillas. This place is not cheap, but the food is excellent!

The food was good. I did go in person and the service was just ok. I paced a order on the phone but still waited about 20 mins.

We came a couple of months ago and had their loaded yucca fries with carne asada as well as some pupusas. The meat on our fries felt really low quality-- the best way I could describe it was it tasting like frozen hamburger meat-- and gave us indigestion for the rest of the night, which was really disappointing to experience. Today we unfortunately experienced some really rude service. My bf ordered a plain water and we were given a fresco ensalada (no big deal, he likes it) We don't eat pork and ordered fried yucca on its own, just yucca frita. We were given a plate of yucca con chicharron :( I told the service we just ordered yucca frita and we were told that we did not specify that for her. I explained that we don't eat pork so we sent it back and were met with a displeasing look. I said we didn't want to yucca anymore since we had a lot of food already and she said "the kitchen already made it." So I said it was fine but just the yucca this time and she came back with the same exact plate just without the chicharron-- no visible plate change. Needless to say for the price, decline in food quality, and rude service, it's not worth coming back. At least not for a while.

We started with the ensalada, which was refreshing and had just the right amount of sweetness. For pupusas, we ordered the revueltas, loroco con queso, and frijol con queso. We tried both corn and rice dough, and honestly, both were delicious. My personal favorite was the frijol con queso with the rice dough- so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The yuca frita was exactly how it should be: crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. The chicharrón was cooked perfectly as well, and the homemade green salsa that the sweet lady helping us made was the perfect addition. She was so kind, welcoming, and always had a friendly smile, which made the experience even better. Another thing that really stood out was how clean the restaurant is. It's spacious, with plenty of seating whether you're coming with a large group, your family, or just stopping by for a meal on your own. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Next time we're bringing my Salvadoran in-laws- I have a feeling this place will get their authenticity approval too! Spanish!

Service was quick, there is a big dining room with plenty of seating in case you want to dine in, looked very clean. Massive pupusas with a lot of filling, not one of those restaurants that give you nothing but masa, these pupusas were legit. They come with Curtido and the usual salsa roja. So much flavor packed into these things, these are some of the best pupusas I've ever had, good size and they do not cheap us out on filling. Definitely try em if you're in the area! Parking on the street, or in the back very limited in the alley.

I've actually traveled to El Salvador before, so I've had the opportunity to experience the food there firsthand. Since coming back, I really haven't found many places that gave me that same authentic taste and feeling--until coming here. Everything we tried was amazing. The pupusas, beans, plantains, meats, and all the traditional flavors were on point. You can tell the food is prepared with that real homemade Salvadorian style. If you've been to El Salvador and know what authentic Salvadorian food is supposed to taste like, this place will bring back some memories. In my opinion, this is about as close as you're going to get without actually getting on a plane and going to El Salvador. Great food, authentic flavors, and definitely a place I'll be coming back to. Highly recommended!

I really wanted to like this place. This was my second time ordering from them through Uber Eats…read more The first time, I ordered because they were running a buy-one-get-one-free breakfast special. They forgot the cheese I paid extra for, but the food itself was so good that I was willing to overlook it and order from them again. Unfortunately, today's experience was completely different. The order took quite a while to prepare, which I don't blame on the delivery driver at all. I could see that he was waiting at the restaurant for an extended period, so I assumed they were just busy because of the promotion. When the food arrived, however, there were pieces of eggshell in the scrambled eggs. Even worse, while my boyfriend was eating his plátanos fritos, he found a hard piece of plastic in the food. Thankfully, he noticed it and was able to pull it out before swallowing it or getting hurt. I called the restaurant directly and also reported the issue to Uber Eats. I'm not writing this because I'm looking for free food or because I want to hurt a family-owned restaurant. I spent over $90 between the food, fees, and tip, and I ordered again because I genuinely enjoyed the food the first time. But finding hard plastic in someone's food crosses a line from an order mistake to a serious safety concern. Promotions and busy days happen, but food safety and basic quality control still have to come first. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would say eat here at your own risk. We were lucky enough to notice the plastic before someone was seriously hurt.
