The pickup window was dirty, and the staff did not confirm names when customers approached the window leading to orders sitting till someone complained. My food was 25 min late. They seemed flustered and I don't blame them because they seem understaffed. The food portion was smaller than what I normally receive when ordering this exact dish from other Goop locations. The salmon was tough and undercooked with red on the inside, I just tore that section off. Had the Miso Salmon Bento Box and it was delicious! All the elements here were great, maybe like other reviews mentioned, the portion of the salmon is small which is why I gave a 4 instead of 5. As an American, I know we want more BUT, it was perfectly cooked, extra sauces included and I was really satisfied with it. I also loved the cucumber salad with edamame with the dressing was on point and, the perfectly and mildly seasoned egg rounded it out nicely. Japanese food shouldn't have an overpowering flavor and I loved it and would order this again. Everything is expensive everywhere so the price is what Id expect. It's not as bad as I was expecting it to be but it's not great. Chicken Teriyaki (2/5): My coworkers raved about this for days and I was so excited to try but it was terrible. I mean maybe I just had a bad batch bc chicken I had today was ROCK hard. Mushroom pizza (3/5): it had a good texture but it was pretty greasy. Probably would've enjoyed a different flavor more. Brownie (3/5): standard brownie, nothing special Miso Salmon (4/5): the flavor of the sauce was really good and I liked the way the salmon was cooked. The bento box itself, however, feels like they just threw in whatever "Asian" came to mind. Like why are there 7 minute eggs in this & why is it unseasoned. Also, what exactly was I supposed to do with the wasabi? The edamame/cucumber salad was more on brand but even that was bland. If I went back, I'd probably order this again out of everything I've tried but the portion is PETITE. Overall, I'm not unhappy I got it but primarily because it was free for me. As someone who keeps up with pop culture, I'm very familiar with Goop and the various products tied to the brand. When I heard there was a new "ghost kitchen" location near where I was having brunch, I decided to give it a try to take some food home for later. I ordered: Brentwood Chinese Chicken Salad-A take on the not-so-traditional classic with hand-pulled organic chicken, bok choy, green onion, cabbage, avocado, sesame seed, watermelon radish, snow peas, cilantro, and a side of grain-free "wontons," toasted quinoa, roasted almonds, and a side of GCC carrot-ginger vinaigrette. It is Gluten-free, dairy-free, and plant based. The salad itself was very tasty and the vinaigrette had a nice kick to it. That said, it was disappointing that extra dressing isn't provided unless you pay for it, especially since the portion included didn't quite cover the whole salad. I ended up making my own dressing at home to supplement it. For the price I paid, I would maybe consider ordering again or trying something else on the menu, but at full price, I feel like I can get a more filling, complete meal elsewhere. Lastly, it did not have enough chicken. The location is a bit tricky to find as there is no major signage, just a small A-frame on the sidewalk if you happen to notice it. Parking is in the residential and I had to circle the block a few times before finding a spot. Ordered from Goop Kitchen via GrubHub and was really happy with the experience. I tried the Salmon Miso Bento Box and the Soccata. The Soccata were these tasty little doughy, crunchy bites--really good, but they could use a dipping sauce (I ended up making one myself). If you don't have condiments at home, they might feel a little dry. The Bento Box was delicious. I loved being able to sample a bunch of different things in small portions, and everything had great flavor. The salmon was fresh and really tasty. When we first ordered from Goop Kitchen we were REALLY impressed because every section of the plate was so fresh and vibrant, and we felt the power in our bodies after the meals. However; just a couple of weeks later the lettuce on the Benito Plate was soggy and the wonderful dressing of carrot ginger had changed and looked darker and was more fluid and the taste was not nearly as fresh and vibrant but was almost like store-bought It was an unimpressive dressing topped with some sesame seeds. Also, we noticed a little less brown rice than usual and old instead of very warm and fresh, browning wasabi paste on the top rather than the previous fresh wasabi paste. For the prices that Goop Kitchen charges, these are not acceptable downgrades and changes. If you are going to pay $93.00 for two meals to be delivered in Los Angeles with no extras added to the two meals, including the tip and delivery fees and taxes - there needs to be consistency and absolute freshness beyond the ordinary, and meals that are premium in every way. It's very popular amongst the wellness space. I started off modestly with their dark chocolate sea salt brownie! It's grain free and refined sugar free. The pick-up space for DoorDash drivers is small but service is very attentive and they try to be as swift as they can. The manager even greeted me outside and delivered my brownie to me! I ordered the Roy Choi Korean chicken wrap and the maple pecan oatmeal cookies. The Roy Choi wrap did not have as much chicken as I had hoped, it was mainly kimchi and cabbage. In addition to the chicken not tasting "Korean-glazed", the Korean bbq sauce tasted nothing like bbq--I'm questioning if I was even given bbq sauce or if it was the wrong one. Overall, the flavor was really not what I was expecting and was a little disappointing. I did however really like the actual wrap/tortilla. The maple pecan cookies were good, but again did not have the flavors I was expecting. They just tasted like cinnamon oatmeal cookies to me--but they did have a perfect chewy texture. As other reviews mentioned they were smaller than I expected--two fit within the inside of my hand.
