I'm so glad Los Gyros is now located in North Hollywood, CA. It's at the intersection of Sherman Way and Bellaire Ave. I just bought lunch from here. We have the Greem Pita Gyros with fries in the side. Their food is fresh and tastes great. I highly recommend it! Restaurants first day open was yesterday. I showed up an hour or so before closing and they were almost sold out which is a good sign Service was good, prices were decent and food was delicious. The portion sizes are massive so I have no complaints I got 3 baguette gyros and it cost me a little over $50 Parking is also not a problem since it's in a shopping center. We wanted to try something new. They have hotdogs on the menu. One specifically said hotdog wrapped in bacon and topped with cheese. We also ordered a gyro. They don't even make the gyro with lamb. Our hotdogs came without bacon and cheese. It had some wet lettuce, tomatoes, coleslaw, and raw onions. The gyro was made with beef and no traditional tzatziki sauce. What a disappointment! On a scale of 1-10 I would rate this place a 2. No beautiful meat on a spit. We ordered a pork plate and got finely chopped dog food. A plate includes "everything" and costs $19. Well, just eat the fries. They were fresh and tasty. Skip everything else. I am not one to knock restaurants, but this deserves it. read more

Just tried Los Gyros and wow... I'm seriously impressed. The food was so good. I got the classic gyro and it was packed with flavor--super tender meat, fresh veggies, and the tzatziki sauce? Next level. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. The portion size was great (definitely left full and happy), and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. Stopped by late at night as my Taco stop was closed.... Thought why not a Gyro sounds good. Well as it turned out no regular gyros. They had chicken or pork. I was a little disappointed but thought hey why not ?!? The owner and crew were nice guys, I was hungry, cold, and up for new experiences. So said my good bye's and left. Got to the hotel and ate my late dinner. So 1) nicely packaged to go... (but 1 napkin??? Why so cheap because the food wasn't) 2) good sized portion (which looked amazing)! I wasn't left hungry. 3) Taste: it was good but was missing something???? Perhaps onion, parsley, etc... it was so close to being epic. So over all it's a 4 but the guys were so nice I had to give it a 5. But because this was my first time and it was so cold I just wanted to leave I didn't real look for what I wanted. For LA, the price is going to be about what you'd expect, but I would definitely come here again and get myself a waffle cone on a hot day... especially on a Sunday when I tried this place because it's quiet and peaceful outside.
