I almost always order one of my favorite dishes at Basin 141, but this visit I decided to branch out and give the Shrimp Pasta Blanco a chance. Despite being so close to a seafood restaurant, I never expected one of my favorite shrimp dishes to come from here. I'm glad I took the chance. The shrimp were tender and full of garlic flavor, and the creamy white wine sauce was rich without being too heavy. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly, and the fresh tomatoes, basil, and Parmesan added just the right balance. The warm French bread was perfect for soaking up every bit of the sauce. This dish completely exceeded my expectations and has earned a permanent spot on my list of favorites. Another perfect meal at the Basin. This time I wanted to try the Shrimp Pasta Blanco. Because there is a seafood restaurant across the street from Basin 141, I always thought to stick to the excellent dishes I've tried before. However, the description of the Shrimp in the menu made me want to try it. I made the decision and was I delighted. Sautéed Garlic Shrimp in a white wine cream sauce accompanied by perfect al dente spaghetti, tomato and basil with shredded Parmesan and French baguettes. A perfect combination that should be entered in a culinary contest, it was that good. Elliott was the wonderful server who paid great attention to us and while one of our favorite waitresses, Paige has moved on, there is another Paige who was wonderful to us. As Basin 141 turns to another Paige (sorry, I had to), we are as well and are seriously looking to move to Montrose as it's a wonderful town and with this restaurant in the same area, we could become frequent flyers. It may be best known as a bar because of their incredible selections, but this wonderful establishment is a fantastic restaurant with out door seating. The mushroom omelet with goat cheese was creamy, earthy, and perfectly cooked, paired well with lightly dressed salad. This is a great place to watch the upcoming FIFA matches. They have a decent food happy hour. I don't find their drink happy hour to be all that compelling as you only save around 50 cents per drink. I like the outside seating in the day and inside at night. It's dark and busy most days. Parking is super easy when in the back lot (behind Basin 141). There is 3 hour free parking lot in the back with access to Basin 141 from the back. Don't be a fool like my friends that walked all the way around to enter from the street side.... I went to Basin 141 for happy hour to catch up with some friends visiting. The food and drinks were really delicious and decently portioned for the price. I had the crispy pork taco, mini burger (which came with fries!), house wine, and house sangria. The mini burger and fries HH was such a steal and had carmelized onions that really set the flavor of the burger. And I love onions!! I was a little disappointed in the service. Staff were friendly but it was struggle life to get someone's attention to order food or drinks when it was not very busy. It felt like the two guys working at the bar were doing it all while three other workers were just chatting in the back. My boyfriend and I came to Basin 141 for Happy Hour before visiting Enchanted at Descanso Gardens. They are located in downtown Montrose, so parking is limited, but we were able to find free public parking within a block's radius and walked over. In general the area is nice to walk around. We shared Buffalo Wings ($14), Mini Basin Burger ($6 HH), Potato Skins ($7 HH) and Chicharrónes ($6 HH). The first item that came out was their K-Town Wings... which we didn't order cause my boyfriend doesn't really like sweet with savory. Good thing staff came by a while later to swap it with the buffalo wings we ordered. Ughh where's my celery and carrots?? On the menu it said it came with celery and carrots, but it just came out with the wings. The mini burger came with fries and we thought that was average. Good value for the happy hour menu. The potato skins were super oily cause they stuff it with Spanish chorizo. It made the texture on the mushy side instead of that nice crispy bite to potato skins. The chicharrónes were a fun snack. Overall good value during happy hour, but a really heavy snacking happy hour which left me feeling heavy but not entirely satisfied. Their happy hour starts early! It was surprisingly full when we arrived on Friday at 5pm, and sadly their happy hour ended at 5pm. We only ordered fries, which were ok, and drinks. Cool enough spot with low and warm lighting... Beer selection had been middle of the road. Kitchen was okay... but my main issue was with service. 4 out of 4 times I dealt with some employees (owners?) with POOR attitude. Happy a lot of friends seem to like it, and that they have survived... my experience may be an outlier. But personally, 4 of 4 is 100%. Maybe 2026 is a year I give them another shot #5... We only discovered Basin 141 because it was the closest place to have dinner after our Casa Cardoba's bad experience. This place was packed and poppin' and for good reason too. We got our waters immediately with drinks to follow and food swiftly ensued as well. Any drink was a good drink. The nachos were a great, shareable starter. Got there around 6:30 ans missed happy hour but were pleased with the welcoming waiter Nick. He brought us menus and made sure to bring our drinks right away. We enjoyed the 21 and older atmosphere and the many choices of meals. My mom got the tomato bisque soup with garlic sweet potato fries. I got the pot roast sandwich on a French roll with au jus and horseradish sauce. I ordered garlic fries. I got after eating only half of the sandwich but was really happy to take the rest home. The food was delicious and hearty. We will definitely come again. And they had several tvs with the Didger game in most, but news in teo others. We enjoy stopping here once in a while on our way home from work to enjoy a couple of cocktails. Recently we learned that they offer brunch and we had to try it. So glad we did! The first time we tried the egg sandwich and breakfast flatbread, absolutely delicious! Added goat cheese to the flatbread and it was perfect. Our second visit we tried two chicken sandwiches , and again, delicious! Definitely a must try for brunch with a glass of rosé and a sangria. Stopped in for lunch. Sat outside which was lovely. Inside was dark but very classic bar and I can imagine it would a fun place to stop for a beer or cocktail. Service was very prompt and friendly. They only had the brunch menu available so a little limited. My husband had the breakfast burger which he enjoyed except the egg was Sunnyside up and a bit undercooked. Nice runny yolk but still of the uncooked white stuff which he didn't like. Flavors were really good though, and the fries (extra) were thin and delicious. It seems like a nice place to watch sports, there are many big screens and comfortable booths. We ordered two dishes and bottomless mimosas. The food was good. I have been there twice before for meatloaf Monday. More recently I had the nachos, and I've also had their tacos, I've had their sliders, I've had their sausage platter, heavy heavy heavy. Especially the nachos. The only dish that's good and light, is the wedge salad. Service is okay. One of the servers there tends to get amnesia after he is done serving you. You might cross paths with him in the bar or see him outside the bar, and you might as well be a piece of furniture. It's the oddest thing. We tend to develop friendly connections with staff at restaurants that we frequent. It's not the case here. It's almost like you're a totally new customer each time you walk in. read more

Interior design was well conceived and very stylish with wooden bar tables, marble counter top full bar and sleek modern led lighting fixtures. Moreover, it is very spacious and slightly dim lit. As far as drinks is concern, they have a plethora on their menu from beers, cocktails to wine to hard liquor. They have contactless QR food menu by the bar table. But they still provide the classic menu paper. We ordered the classic Fried Chicken and Waffle, French Press Coffee and Orange juice. Food was soft, delightful and tasty. Drinks were really good. And these dovetails the perfect Sunday breakfast. Furthermore, staff (Saul) was cordial, attentive and professional. His service was on point. Free wifi available. Easy to find parking. When I discovered that my new fav spot was packed, I didn't mind walking around to find someplace else for a drink. My friend and I came across Basin 141 and since I've been to the Monrovia location I was curious to see how this one compared. I was happy that there were seats available at the bar. The place has a chill, laid-back vibe. David greeted us and provided menus. The food offerings are diverse with Vegetarian, Vegan, & Gluten Free items and the signature cocktails are creative. (I've tried several at the Monrovia location and recommend Strawberry Fields.) I noticed a bottle of Monkey 47 behind the bar and ordered a shot on the side ($15) to go with my Grey Goose Martini (dry with a twist). If beer is your jam, this gastropub has a variety on tap - most from micro-breweries. My friend ordered the Pot Roast French Dip ($15) with fries. I got the House Salad ($6.50), which consisted of baby greens, cherry tomatoes, red onion, queso fresco, & house vinaigrette. He loved the sammy and said the meat was tender & juicy. The fries were great as was the salad! The greens were fresh, and the vinaigrette had a nice flavor. This place has a chill, neighborhood friendly vibe. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and enjoying their meals. The bartenders were friendly and checked on us frequently. We stopped by on a Friday and there was no sign stating upon entry that it was a 21 or over Social bar and Kitchen. Even when we went to the hostess stand, there was no sign visible. It wasn't until we were already seated, with menus in hand, that my 20 year old son was asked for his ID. At that point, we were asked to leave. A little disappointed and embarrassed.
