Inkwell has been our favorite restaurant in the neighborhood since we moved nearby nearly two years ago. The cocktails are all top notch and the food is incredible, especially the smashburger and the Peruvian steak stir fry. Also really enjoy coming for the Tuesday night pop culture trivia. But this past weekend I also had the pleasure of hosting an event (for work) at Inkwell for the first time and I could not recommend them highly enough. The staff, especially Victoria, were all very attentive and easy to work with. Victoria even came up with a special cocktail for us. They were affordable and very flexible to our evolving needs. Definitely hope to host an event here again soon but will be visiting plenty in the meantime! read more

Went here for a date. I've lived in Burbank 8 yrs and never knew about this place. My only regret is not coming here sooner. We only partook in drinks but they were great, as was the service and the vibe. A lot of people around us were getting food and it looked and smell delicious. I'm definitely headed back to try the menu. I dint recall the evening we were there but they were getting ready for karaoke and the next night was trivia night. So,... great place for a date (even if you don't want to go on a 2nd with them) you might want to come back with or without them. Parking can be a challenge. Street parking or you can park in the lots close by of Walgreens or Ralph's and walk over. There are signs stating towing but I don't think it would likely happen. read more

Happy birthday Matt! No idea who you are but your karaoke of Pink Pony Club was one of my favorites of 2026! My friend and I wound up here and it was karaoke night. Vegan burger And monkey bread dessert were delicious. My friend got a steak sandwich and a chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. Service was stellar and vibes were on point. Coming back here later in the year and definitely will be back. read more

We found this place last minute to watch the final FIFA World Cup game when we were turned around from another spot. Thank god we got turned away because this place is a hidden gem. They do have parking behind the building which seems to fill pretty quickly if they're busy, but it's easy to find parking around the neighborhood. I am not usually in the tavern scene so I was surprised that we had to order and pay at the bar, but it wasn't a big issue. My friend and I split the kale caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese. For the table, I ordered the waffle fries after being informed by the kind waitress that that was the better choice over the pretzel (which she also said was amazing). Since the place was filling up for the final, the kitchen was a bit slow, but we barely noticed with how attentive the staff were in getting us drinks and refills. When it came to food, we were pleasantly surprised with this place and is honestly the reason I'm writing this review. The first things we got were the Beef Tallow Waffle Fries, Caesar Salad, and mac and cheese. Obviously the fries were much better, however the salad was also divine but just swimming in dressing. Back to the fries, we all were mindblown with how tavern fries could be this good and had so many flavors. Even the skinny queens in our group kept snacking on them which tells you how good these were. Mac and cheese came and it was standard and creamy but not necessarily something I'd return for. The surprising thing on top of the fries that majority of us loved was the Vegan Tomato Scampi with shrimp. It was fire and had me questioning if it was even Vegan. Would definitely return here if I find my way back to SoCal from the Bay. Great unassuming place with great food and vibes. Their bathroom as well is super clean and nice! Love this place! read more

The drinks here are excellent! You order at the bar and they bring your food to you. Masala Grilled Chicken Sandwich - Tasted bland but too spicy at the same time. Very one note. The chicken was a little dry and the seasoning on it just tasted spicy to be spicy. No real flavor. The cucumber and slaw also did not help with the bland taste. It really needed an acidic component to bring the flavors out or an aioli. The fries it came with were divine though! I subbed for waffle fries and they were oh so crispy! Corpse Reviver - Get it. Just get it. Refreshing with just the right amount of alcohol I want to taste in my drink hehe. Food came out timely, staff were helpful and attentive. Great place for a group of 4-5 - anymore and it'd be too crowded as they don't have big tables. Loved the vibe of the place. I really want to like LIKE this spot so I think I'll get something else entree wise next time! read more

Classy, neighborhood bar with a creative menu and what i think is a literary theme? - it was a vibe, surely! Service was friendly and quick. Payment is via tab, and you order at the bar. Affordable! - Beef Tallow Waffle Fries $15: sooooo rich and soooo goood. Waffles were crispy and the chimmi churri and garlic aioli, along with the crispy-ish pork bits were heavenly - Mocking Bird $9: ginger-y and refreshing! would get again! - Pale Ale $8: aight according to SO but he wasn't necessarily a fan of the draft beer selection - Inkwell Spill $14: friend would get again Easily found street parking at around 10pm. Would come back! read more

Fellow writers, don't be duped. They do not cater to us. Their website says that's why they were created. So I packed my gear and drove there. It was packed. Except for a back room labeled "Writers Room." The worker told me I'd have to rent it out. But, it would be too expensive. Apparently it's meant for writers with deep pockets or groups to rent out. The only option was the outside patio. Which wasn't ideal for me. They market themselves as writer-friendly. Even claiming that writers are often seen there typing away. That's a bald-faced lie. If you're looking for a place to write, sipping on wine and munching on snacks, avoid this place. It's run like any other community pub with karaoke nights and trivia nights. Inkwell? I think not. read more

I think I found a new spot for happy hour and dinning on Friday nights. I wish I knew this place existed before. I really had a great time during my visit. As we walked, we were seated right away no wait which was surprising fora Friday night. Ordering is done mostly at the bar. The food came out really fast which was really appreciated since they were really busy. For food, I highly recommend ordering pretzel. It was so good. I can say it was one of the best ones I had since I love pretzels. I ordered chicken sandwich with fries. I really enjoyed my chicken sandwich and it was still fresh and yummy next day. Our drinks were great too. I should give a big shout out to the bartender who made the drinks. For ambiance, there are TVs for people who are interested in watching games. It is not loud at all and it was easy to have a conversation. Not like other places that you can't have a conversation. Parking, this location has a private parking lot in the back. Also, street parking is available too. read more

I visited Inkwell Tavern for the first time last Wednesday. I met with friends for dinner at around 7:30pm. I parked a block away from the restaurant, and it was easy to find street parking at this time. My friend reserved our booth in advance. It didn't seem super busy at this time; there were open seats by the bar and high tables. The tavern feels upscale, yet casual - a good place to meet with friends after work. We had to order at the bar first, and the food and drinks came out quite fast. I chose the Masala Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($16) and the Mocking Bird ($9). The Chicken Sandwich was delicious; the chicken was flavorful, and the fresh & pickled veggies balanced out the meal. The dish came with a side of French fries, which were perfectly crisp & salted. The Mocking Bird was a slightly tart and refreshing mocktail. The drink had a little too much ice for my liking, but it still paired well with my entree. Also, can't forget about dessert! We shared the Cast Iron Chocolate Cake ($12), which was very sweet and gooey in the middle. read more

We held an event in the private room at Inkwell Tavern on 6/8 and it truly couldn't have been better! The team at Inkwell was so kind and worked with us to accommodate EVERYTHING we wanted - from the timing of the plates, to making room for our photobooth set up, to serving a speciality cocktail we requested!! (Which was delicious!) The communication with management was great. They encouraged us to come in a few days before to do a tech test to make sure everything ran smoothly for the screening part of our event. As expected, things did indeed run smoothly as a result! Their Monday night karaoke was going on simultaneously and the sound didn't interfere with our screening at all. We had about 30 attendees and the room was a very comfortable size for us, it's also beautiful! The entire experience was fantastic, we're very happy with how the evening turned out! Thank you to the wonderful staff for making it all happen for us! read more

This is my 3rd time here. The first two times I was so impressed with the cocktails and tasty food. The staff was so attentive and nice and the food was clean, flavorful and well prepared. We had the bahn mi, marsala sandwich (bahn mi was much better) and tallow fries. Unfortunately this last time my friend took me there for my birthday as per my request and we both had the item on the menu that said "INCREDIBLE!". It was chewy grisly meat and greasy veggies. The bartenders (we sat at the bar) were nice but we were a little ignored. It was loud in there but they were inattentive and did not add a candle to the dessert even though my friend mentioned it was my bday. And I have a bit of food sickness today from the food. Yes, I am sure. I will give them another try but definitely seems like they cut the food prep budget to simply trained cooks and not good ones. I apologized to my friend for recommending it. read more

Inkwell was recommended by a friend and after the vibe, service and food from our night out I can see why. First off, parking is street parking and in the surrounding neighborhood so give yourself a little time to find a spot. The building is a little smaller than I imagined. One decently sized room for the bar, booths and tables. This place fills up fast especially on trivia nights so if you are sensitive to crowded spaces and loud noises (music and all the talking) just be prepared. :) Our group got a nice mix of the pretzel, beef tallow waffle fries and cheese with jam. All topped off with a real nice pilsner. You place your order at the bar and they bring it to you, the bartenders were top notch and really made our group feel welcome. Would come back for sure! read more

We were looking for a burger & a beer and decided to try this local tavern. I was surprised to see such great reviews, but now I know why! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and seated. It was around 7pm and the place was PACKED. Maybe 2-3 open tables only. You have to walk up to the bar to place your order for both food and beverage - which was kind of odd but also understandable. The lady taking our order, as well as the host/ waiter, were amazing. Super friendly, helpful, and attentive. The place is clean and the vibes are great. The food is even better... and my drink was the best! We tried the lemon pepper wings, kale salad, the smash burger with fries, and a dirty martini . I loved it all. Will definitely return read more

Inkwell Tavern is a special spot. Classy enough for a date night, but not pretentious. Innovative, great-tasting food and drinks. Superb service. Lots of fun events, a lot of them weekly happenings. There's a writing and literature aesthetic, so expect to feel like you're in the library of a manor. Actual inkwells, shelves of books, Tudor panelling, an old typewriter - perfectly Instagrammable spot. My two favourite items are the "Turn The Page" tequila cocktail and their beef tallow fries, a skillet concoction of flavourful pork, chimichurri, and garlic aioli atop saturated, crisp waffle fries. They're very active on Instagram with their specials and events, so give them a follow to keep abreast of their limited offerings and weekly goings-on. read more

Came here the other day in the evening and the ambience was incredible. Not only was I impressed by such a cozy spot, the salad I tried was delicious, and made me feel like I was at a classy upscale establishment. While the burger I had wasn't noteworthy, that isn't to say their menu is on the bland side. They even have mixed drinks that pair well with getting writing done or just trying to get the creative juices flowing. I definitely want to come back and try more of their food. Cheers! read more

Came here as a part of my friend's birthday bar crawl and loved it! We already had a few drinks at the bar next door but we had been out all night so we were hungry. We came about 10 minutes before the kitchen was going to close, but the bartender was so nice and even asked our group if we wanted to order any food before they closed. It was such a nice gesture because most places don't really like taking orders at the last minute. We tried the steak frites, pretzel, and the beef tallow waffle fries. The steak was actually perfectly seasoned and cooked and we were all really impressed! The pretzel was piping hot and came with two sauces to dip. I highly recommend the garlic aioli and ranch, which were both creamy and delicious. The beef tallow fries were perfectly crispy and were LOADED. I loved the decorations inside since it was dimly lit and had the perfect vibe for a night out or for a date. I would love to come back sometime to try their drink menu and more of the foods since I was impressed by everything I tried! read more

I so badly want to love this adorable tavern. The ambiance is great, the staff is lovely, they have TVs for my husband to watch sports....but the food is just not cutting it. The kale salad is super salty(and I love salt) the cheese plate has too many "smoked" items and the burger is just ok. The drinks are great and I really, really love to go here but the menu needs some consideration. read more

We stopped in because we heard about Whiskey Wednesday. You get 3 - 1/2 ounce pours of your choice for $20. They had a nice selection to choose from. We tried a charcuterie board and wings to start. Small space with an intimate yet lively vibe. I would highly recommend a reservation if you can make one. read more

Great ambiance! Loved the decor and the look of the leather booth seating (for groups), most tables and booths were already reserved, maybe for their karaoke night. Plenty of boardgames stacked in the corner. Cocktails were amazing. Will absolutely go back for drinks. The pasta dish with added shrimp and real cheese was tasty as well. At first I was thinking man is this dish just good because I've had too much to drink? Ordered another one to go and when I had it the next day, it was still good! Only thing that was less than perfect was just that their burger bun was a little overcooked. But all in all, we had a great time and will be back to try more cocktails! read more

Let me just start off by saying that the bartender was so amazing - the Whodunnit Mocktail was absolutely delicious (sweet and spicy and sparkling at the same time - the tripleS!) Now that you're hooked, here's the full review. We stopped by on a Monday at 6:30pm (right before happy hour ends) and were easily able to find a table. The happy hour deals were pretty great for drinks on tap ($2 off so $6 beers) but only $2 off for appetizers which is not something to be sad about if you put in food later. As I mentioned above, the mocktail was amazing! The food on the other hand was mid at best - I had the banh mi with fries and the banh mi was tasteless and the fries were mushy. Prices aren't too bad though. Cool spot to hang but maybe not on a Monday after 8pm unless you're there to sing. It gets too loud to hear your neighbor talk so either go early and dip or just stay there and listen! May just stick to happy hour drinks next time! Parking: pretty easy street parking earlier in the day! read more
