Came by for a pre-dinner drink prior to eating at Din Tai Fung. It was 5:30 on a Thursday, and we were the only people there. I thought that they possibly had a happy hour, but either they stopped it, or they didn't advertise it. I think a happy hour would help draw a bit of a crowd and get more people there. They have a good selection of spirits and a handful of beer on tap. Overall, it was a fine visit for a drink, but was not very memorable or anything that would justify 5 stars. I'll probably try out somewhere different next time before heading to dinner. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and the over ambiance is fine. Not too loud and not too quiet. The reason it's getting a 3 star review is that we were served by the unfriendliest server ever. It was as if she only wanted to talk to you on her terms and ignored you when you talked to her. Well this was a nice surprise. Cozy, great food and great wine selections too. We were able to snag the area upstairs which made it feel like we were in our own private room. The staff was awesome and would come up stairs to ensure we had our waters refilled, ensured we weren't in need of more wine and to give us a quick friendly chat. We had a work gathering here in the evening and it was a perfect venue for our Team. Everyone had enough space to vibe and connect. The second floor is very cozy, which was nice to play our games and the first floor had a very nice feel with the bar to drink and hangout. The staff there were all very accommodating and nice. I came here a few evenings ago and had a great experience they are very close to the main strip for shopping and parking is relatively easy. I only tried two drinks here, and they were absolutely fantastic I would definitely come back here again and I look forward to experiencing more of their menu in the future. It's a relatively small venue so probably not the best idea for large parties but it's perfect for small group of say 8 to 10 or less, and also a great place for a date. Oak and Vine took our reservation and then didn't accept it when we came tonight. The staff person tried to send us to another restaurant (assuming we just went to the wrong restaurant) even though I showed him our reservation. We went anyway just in case there was something we didn't understand about where we were supposed to go. Unsurprisingly, the restaurant next door took a look at our reservation, said this reservation wasn't for their restaurant, and politely sent us back to Oak and Vine. We went back, showed them the reservation again, and the staff person said they didn't have our reservation (I showed it to him again) and he said that the whole restaurant had been reserved by someone else for a month. Basically he just sent us away with nothing which was super frustrating. We drove a long way to be here only to be suffer the consequences of their being really disorganized. I won't be going here again. I find it disingenuous when someone won't own their mistakes. The concept is very simple: don't let us make a reservation if you're not going to be open. read more
