This establishment is recognized as a leading bar and restaurant within the Glendale area. Its innovative beverage program, diverse culinary offerings, and exceptional customer service consistently surpass expectations. Mr. Edwin and Nikos, alongside their team of highly skilled bartenders, ensure each visit is both memorable and enjoyable. The bar's ambiance is characterized by its sophisticated and European aesthetic.

Came here for the happy hour after work. Had a big lunch so just wanted to share some apps and have a cocktail or two. Niko's service was excellent. He was attentive to guests and respectful as to not encroach on your space. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice summer vibes as we watched shoppers pass by. Looks like they have a nice space upstairs. Would like to try other items on the menu next time

Well this was a nice surprise. Cozy, great food and great wine selections too. We were able to snag the area upstairs which made it feel like we were in our own private room. The staff was awesome and would come up stairs to ensure we had our waters refilled, ensured we weren't in need of more wine and to give us a quick friendly chat. We had a group of about 8 of us, plenty of wine, cheese, and even some delicious empandas to share. We were thankful the place wasn't loud or crowded and we were comfortable. Would totally come back. Highly recommended this place for everyone, great service , delicious food , hospitality and very very friendly atmosphere )

Good selection and service was fine. Came during off hours so it was nice and chill vibes. Veggie and beef empanadas were phenomenal.

    Reservation

Oak and Vine took our reservation and then didn't accept it when we came tonight. The staff person tried to send us to another restaurant (assuming we just went to the wrong restaurant) even though I showed him our reservation. We went anyway just in case there was something we didn't understand about where we were supposed to go. Unsurprisingly, the restaurant next door took a look at our reservation, said this reservation wasn't for their restaurant, and politely sent us back to Oak and Vine. We went back, showed them the reservation again, and the staff person said they didn't have our reservation (I showed it to him again) and he said that the whole restaurant had been reserved by someone else for a month. Basically he just sent us away with nothing which was super frustrating. We drove a long way to be here only to be suffer the consequences of their being really disorganized. I won't be going here again. I find it disingenuous when someone won't own their mistakes. The concept is very simple: don't let us make a reservation if you're not going to be open.

What a great find for a Saturday night! It was a cozy, clean, and warm environment to have a quick dinner. Everyone here is so friendly. I can confidently say these are the only mac and cheese balls that I've thoroughly enjoyed and believed is fried to perfection. The spinach artichoke dip is super cheesy, warm, and overall delicious. The chicken club sandwich was alright, but nothing special. My boyfriend and I were a bit disappointed that they ran out of cheesecake but the restaurant owner was so kind and offered us a different complimentary dessert! Thank you!

Excellent service! I don't recall the name of our waiter/bartender but he has vast knowledge in cocktails/mixology. He was attentive & customized our drinks to our liking. We didn't eat any food, we stopped by this spot for nightcap. My friend ordered the pink lady w/gin & I had Flor de Caña rum. I would like to return to try food & cocktails again. As far as parking, I believe there is parking garage nearby & a short walk to Americana.

NIKOS - the GREEK GOD. 5 star for the man. Service was beyond amazing. Ambiance was big vibe. Did not get a chance to try the food but the dranks drankinnnn

Our two servers were fantastic! It was fun talking custom cocktails with one, and food with the other. Both servers, as well as food runners, were ON IT! The bartenders definitely make well balanced, delicious concoctions. And then our food came: Mmm! So many vibrant flavors! Fresh, popping zings of ginger and garlic on the noods, delectable brisket with brightness from the red onion and cilantro wrapped in a comfort blanket of bao, break a sweet sweat from chilis on the spicy tofu noodles, green, bright, and lip smacking umami on the brussels, and bbq perfection on the meat. Very friendly and they provide great service. Their brews menu is TOP NOTCH! The first time I had a P.O.G. cider (not theirs,) and this last time I had their own branded "Resolution Juice" hard seltzer. Honestly I expected something similar to a White Claw or other canned hard seltzer, but this was completely different. The menu stated it had notes of mango, prickly pear, and key lime and I was able to taste all of those flavors. One of the best brews I've had in a while! Their food menu is also awesome. They have a variety of vegan, veg, and non-veg dishes, and everything is soooo reasonably priced. Their vegan lumpia is great, vegan chicken sandwich is great, and this last time I had their wonton chicken salad which was super flavorful and rich. We also got the fried pickles this time which were not my favorite but not necessarily bad either. Highly recommend stopping by here for a casual drink or lunch, you wont regret it!

First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. We were told seating was first come, first served, so when a table opened up outside, our group of five sat down while part of our group went inside to order. Shortly after ordering multiple drinks and several plates of food, another staff member came to our table and began yelling at us, threatening to kick us out for being "rude" to staff, even though we had done nothing but order our food and drinks. What made it even more uncomfortable was watching other guests openly smoking weed while staff said nothing, yet our group felt watched, accused, and singled out the entire time. As the only Latino group sitting outside, the experience left us feeling unwelcome, uncomfortable, and discriminated against. As a fellow restaurant owner, I understand hospitality and house policies, which is why this treatment was especially disappointing. We had two separate servers because one went home during the middle of our dinner and both were equally horrible. Not even exaggerating when I say we waited at least 15 minutes after we asked for the check and there were probably only 10 tables in the entire restaurant. And we had to call her back over to ask for a second time. SMH. The food although flavorful was so ridiculously priced it was not even funny. I got a "ribeye ". Was literally eight thin slices of steak, like 1" x 1" size for $42! No, I will not be coming back here for so many reasons. The view is great. Castaways is definitely not what it used to be in the way of quality but at least you get more and you get the view. But definitely not worth it going to this place. It was quite a frustrating evening. Also, if you do decide to go here, just bring a coat when it's a little bit cooler in the evenings cause it does get cold up here and getting the staff to manage the heaters correctly is a whole other frustration. Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it

I really had no intention of coming back but decided to give it a chance. Even though I didn't plan it, turns out it was a year to the day of my last visit. The place has been remodeled.
