I wanna give a big shout-out to the bartender for whipping up a damn tasty Negroni, and to the chef for serving up a badass burger that hit me with some serious flavor. Cheers to both of ya, you rock!

Fine selection of cognac and more, excellent service, stunning live music, and to top it off the food is just perfect. I will be back and that's the official Anthony review.

Horizontal layout that opens up a little in the back. Plenty of seating at the bar and on couches that line the wall. Not sure what the theme was for tonight, but they had a DJ spinning 80s dance tunes and a couple of tables for tarot card readings. Yep. It's a good vibe here as most of the crowd here seem to be young and older professionals. So anyone will feel safe and comfortable. Not too many damn meatheads. Cocktail menu isn't too large, but I had a couple of tropical themed drinks that were fantastic. They have a kitchen, but you have to come in earlier if you want to eat because it closes like at 9 or so. The bartender did say that it was OK to order food delivered at the bar, so there's that option. Only complaint is that there was only one bartender working and the wait was a bit long. Two would've helped out with the wait times for sure. This is a good spot to hang out and meet people if that's your thing. A good time was had by all.

Highly recommend! Classic Glendale establishment!…read more The Famous has been under new ownership, a lovely woman, who has great new ideas for the bar. Lots of themed nights and engaging activities to really bring the community together. I love the creative and fun cocktails. Lots of asian themes but also traditional tiki drinks. They have different themed nights with DJs & live music, & I believe it was Mediterranean night when we went. I could definitely see this being a fun spot to come with friends, family, or for a celebration. When we went, the restaurant was pretty empty...there was our table & only one other table, which was a group celebrating a birthday. Because of that, I did feel like the music was extremely loud for how empty the restaurant was. I completely understand having loud music when the place is packed & everyone is there to dance & enjoy the nightlife, but since it was mostly just the two of us trying to have dinner, I think turning it down a little would have made the experience more comfortable. We still tried to make the most of it and enjoy the atmosphere. The food & drinks were good, although I would say the prices are definitely on the expensive side. We still had a fine meal. I'd be interested in coming back on a busier weekend to experience the restaurant when the atmosphere is more lively. One thing I did notice was that an 18% gratuity was already included in our bill. I understand automatic gratuity for larger parties, but since it was just me & my niece & we only ordered one meal, I only had one drink, & she had water, it felt a little high...especially considering how empty the restaurant was that night. I understand this may be their standard policy, but it was something I noticed. They also currently have a promotion where you can receive a sweet treat or a drink on the house for leaving a Google review, which was a nice little perk for a first time visit. Overall, I think this could be a really fun place for a group, birthday, date night, or anyone looking for dinner with music, dancing, & a nightlife atmosphere. I'd definitely be curious to come back on a busy weekend!

I thought that they possibly had a happy hour, but either they stopped it, or they didn't advertise it. I think a happy hour would help draw a bit of a crowd and get more people there. They have a good selection of spirits and a handful of beer on tap. Overall, it was a fine visit for a drink, but was not very memorable or anything that would justify 5 stars. I'll probably try out somewhere different next time before heading to dinner. They have outdoor and indoor seating, and the over ambiance is fine. Not too loud and not too quiet. Service was nothing more than asking what you want to drink and then bringing it to you. No recommendations

You can follow the timeslots of the booking options online but there is an option to choose a custom time for more money. I like the chalkboard feature where you can name your party/hangout event and pretty much customize the sign to your liking. Would definitely like to do this again in the future. TBH this place was one of the choices cause it was closest to us while we ran our demands. After parking in the garage, we gathered our dog and popped in fur lunch. Our server Derrick is memorable, exceptional, patient, knowledgeable, quick, intelligent, and friendly. The place is so amazingly designed. My husband was having a difficult day and Derrick truly had the best people skills navigating us through the menu and the tough day. Truly, after the whole 2020 pandemic thing - dining out has just about lost its shine and charm, but the restaurant's layout and the human experience Derrick brought to us was reminiscent of a time before. My husband felt at ease and even ordered a glass of wine which he took the recommendation with immediacy. He is usually resistant to suggestions too. Highly resistant. So that was even more pivotal to the experience. Our dog was even in the happiest of moods. All around this was therapeutic AND I haven't even go to the food yet. Wow. The FOOD. THE EFFING FOOOOOD!!!! Whatever the cook needs give it. The texture and creaminess plus tanginess of the tzatziki- it was delicious and perfect. The lemon potatoes - they reminded me so much of my grandma's growing up. The lunch special was excellent and truly it's a staple in Los Angeles dining because where else? For sure this is one of my favorites from here on out. My dog, my husband, and myself all satisfied. The day changed entirely after coming here- truly. This is a diamond of a place. Thank you.

This was my first experience with Vitello's Restaurant and their Velvet Martini Lounge. On Saturday…read morenight, a group of 7 of us took our friend here for her birthday, and booked our table in the Velvet Martini Lounge because she wanted to listen to the jazz. Mary was our server, and it started out promising, she greeted us promptly and took our drink orders. It went downhill from there. By the end of the night, the person refilling our water was the best service we got all night, because he came around regularly to check and refill our glasses. It seemed like because there were 7 of us, so she got an automatic 20% gratuity, she didn't think she had to work for her tips, but the service was appalling. Honestly, the room was only half full, so it wasn't even that busy. Service: We had a friend show up late, and it took a long time to get someone's attention to bring a wine and water glass for her. I kept trying to waive someone down, or hoped that Mary would come check in, but no such luck. When the food arrived, they just dropped off the food and left, they didn't ask if I or anyone at the table wanted pepper or parmesan for our dishes, or needed anything else. My friend sitting across from me finally got someone's attention that was walking by to bring some pepper, and after doing her plate, he didn't ask if anyone else at the table wanted any. So I stopped him from leaving and asked the table if anyone else wanted pepper or parm. Myself and another friend wanted parm, but we were half way through our meals before it came. We were at the end of the meal before Mary even came back to check back on us. We ordered another bottle of wine because all of our glasses were empty. Mary just brought it to the table, opened it and then walked off without refilling any of the empty glasses. For dessert, we ordered one dessert to share, but everyone decided we would do after dinner martinis. Mary took the order for 5 people at the table and left without taking my order or my friend's order for our martinis, so we end up having to wait until she came back with the other 5 martinis to order ours. Food: It was bland, underwhelming and overpriced. I ordered the chicken piccata. The capers were the only thing that gave it flavor, its a dish that I didn't think you could make tasteless. The noodles did not taste fresh, almost rubbery. There are so many Italian places around Los Angeles that are the same price or cheaper that have higher quality and better tasting food. I ordered a chocolate martini, and the alcohol wasn't too overpowering, and it tasted just like drinking a dessert. We ordered two bottles of the Montepulciano that they had on their wine list, it was just okay, so if you are a wine person, then I recommend bringing your own bottle and just pay the corkage fee. Bill: They don't hand you the bill, which is a surprise for such a big group. They didn't give us the printed bill until we asked for it after paying. So when I checked it over, I was surprised that on top of the 20% automatic gratuity, there was also a 3.5% kitchen appreciation fee. Which I was told by the hostess as we were leaving you can ask to have removed before paying your bill. Doesn't seem like there is any transparency for that fee. It definitely felt painful to pay 23.5% in tips/fees for such appallingly bad service. Jazz: Saving grace for this place, that's the one star. Saturday night they had just a singer and a piano player. The singer's voice was beautiful and she took requests, so we requested La Vie en Rose before we left. She sang it in English vs. French, but she sang it beautifully. Vitello's has a great history, so if you are going to come here, then come here for the drinks and the jazz.
