My second time at this location and overall it's been a solid experience both times. I recommend making a reservation considering they can get busy. The inside is modern and very bright. Service was amazing with friendly staff. We came around 5:30pm on a Friday evening and the place was semi empty but by the time we left it had filled up. They also have live entertainment which is nice. I ordered a gyro wrap and it did hit the spot. Lots of meat inside but they did charge extra for extra taziki sauce. The interior imitates Greek Santorini vibes, with the blue & white shades all over the restaurant. We ordered a bunch of food, so here's the review of each dish: -Fiery feta dip: 5/5 -- maybe could be an eeeeeensy spicier, but so well balanced! Not heavy at ALL with the acidity cutting through so nicely. -Grilled Spanish octopus: 4/5 -- not as soft as I thought it would be tbh! Squeeze a lot of lemon; it pairs very well with the spiced oil. -Filet mignon plate: 4.75/5 -- beef cooked perfectly medium rare and seasoned well, tzatziki bright, veggies grilled well, rice could use a bitttttt more flavor but everything still ate really deliciously! - Hummus side: 5/5 -- SOOOO GOOD! super smooth, not too bean-y, spiced well. With so many positive yelp reviews I had to try this place out myself so when date night came I made a reservation here and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing ! So fresh, so flavorful and we were so happy to find this gem. We ordered the chicken bowl and lamb and flavors were amazing. Baklava for dessert was also so light but delicious. We also ordered the spanakopita but will not order again as I'm a purist and like phyllo vs puff pastry for Greek spanakopita. Shout out to our servers Aidan and Robert who took great care of us. The best Falafel Wrap I have ever had! The pita was soft and fluffy, but not too thick. Also substantial and strong enough to hold the enormous contents: a perfect balance of moist falafel, mildly pickled veggies, fresh lettuce and tomato, and a smooth tasty tahini sauce. Seriously, best ever. I also had a nicely dressed greek salad. And my friend loved her Wild Pacific Cod. And we both found the Red Sangria delicious. Sangria is always best with a splash of brandy and the addition of Cinnamon was really unique. And the glass was not packed to the top with ice like at many other places. A nice pour! The ambiance was beautiful and relaxing. The service was EXCELLENT! The men who work here are true gentlemen. The only changes I'd like would be if the outside areas was non-smoking (and if people didn't hang out and smoke so close to where you sit and eat), but even the inside has floor to ceiling windows that open, so it's similar to being outside anyway. There are two Greek Bistro's I think. This one is our favorite. They have the best Greek food and it is traditional while at the same time updated for super flavor. The place is really pretty and it is comfortable and ever so clean. They take really good care of it. We love the service, which is super nice and they know their menu well. Whatever you want in Greek food they have it. Make a reservation. In busy dinner times it will get crowded. Their grilled Spanish octopus is just the best and they don't have that everywhere. They make the best salads and they have great dessert items. Their Dolma is a must try. It is all wrapped in grape leaves and just the best. Delicious Greek food with a very nice ambiance. I came with a group of friends at 12pm on a Saturday. There was plenty of open tables. We sat indoors next to an open door, it was very nice to enjoy. Everyone's dish was cooked to perfection. I got the salmon bowl where the salmon was very juicy with crispy skin. Paired very well with the tzatziki sauce. It's a bigger portion in person than it looks in photos. Overall, I can see this restaurant being a nice place for special occasions. A little more pricey and the service is on the slow side. Great personality! Made some great recommendations. We started off with drinks that old fashioned was strong and good! I had a Cadillac Margarita w/that Don Fulano(Great recommendation Wit-cha!). Now for the food, wife had Saganaki w/shrimp..Delicious! She also had the Grilled Spanish Octopus she loved it. Came for dinner around 4:30p with my family. Ambience and service were nice. Bathrooms were very clean. We ordered the following: Gyro wrap, avgolemono soup, lemon potatoes and gyro plate. Portions were big especially for the gyro plate. My daughter was very pleased. The soup was perfect for the fall weather. Overall, this place is absolutely lovely. It's located on a little cobblestone street in Glendale, away from the big shopping area, and there is a parking garage steps away with the first 90 minutes free. The restaurant itself is gorgeous - the colors, the decor, the olive tree in the middle, all of it gave a great ambiance. Service was excellent. I met a friend I hadn't see in a while and we ended up lingering over lunch for 3 hours, and our server Chase was kind and attentive but not overbearing. The menu is extensive and everything looked good, but I settled on a bowl with shrimp. It was absolutely delicious! There are definitely more items I'd try. The ONLY downside to this place is that it opens to the outdoors and there were a lot of people smoking cigarettes. The fumes kept coming into the restaurant and it was pretty unpleasant. Just the way I like my saganaki! - Avgolemono - when this first was brought out, I was very hesitant as this is much more liquidy/thin than what I am used to seeing. I even sent it to my family and they were confused as well. However, it really tastes like the real thing! I'm not sure how they got the flavor without the typical thickness, but I'm not mad at it. - Grilled Spanish Octopus - very surprising that they had spanish octopus on the menu instead of a traditional greek grilled octopus. I'm a sucker for a good octopus and this was no exception! It was cooked beautifully and tasted just as good! I honestly don't think you could go wrong with anything from here. I love Greek food and I had been wanting to check this place out after hearing about it from one of my coworkers. After dining at Greek Bistro this past Friday night, I can confidently say it is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. And thank you Derek for your amazing hospitality. He made us feel welcomed and just made our overall dining experience fantastic! The restaurant interior is very pretty, they really put a lot of thought into the overall design and aesthetic. Great vibes. The cocktail menu is long and there's something for everyone. I got Aphrodite's passion and that was bomb, if you like fruity that's definitely the cocktail for you and it was also a photogenic cocktail if you're into that! I'm excited to try the rest of the menu and I'm looking forward to the Santorini Sunrise. For food we got the hummus with pita, lemon potatoes, a filet mignon bowl and a gyro plate. Everything was so delicious but I cannot get over the lemon potatoes. Whatever secret seasoning they used really had me eating the whole plate nonstop.
