The best Falafel Wrap I have ever had! The pita was soft and fluffy, but not too thick. Also substantial and strong enough to hold the enormous contents: a perfect balance of moist falafel, mildly pickled veggies, fresh lettuce and tomato, and a smooth tasty tahini sauce. Seriously, best ever. I also had a nicely dressed greek salad. And my friend loved her Wild Pacific Cod. And we both found the Red Sangria delicious. Sangria is always best with a splash of brandy and the addition of Cinnamon was really unique. And the glass was not packed to the top with ice like at many other places. A nice pour! The ambiance was beautiful and relaxing. The service was EXCELLENT! The men who work here are true gentlemen. The only changes I'd like would be if the outside areas was non-smoking (and if people didn't hang out and smoke so close to where you sit and eat), but even the inside has floor to ceiling windows that open, so it's similar to being outside anyway. Bulky gyro pieces. - Greek fries - 6.5/10: Didn't know this was a thing really. But basically it's just seasoned shoestring fries that's served with a garlic dip. There are two Greek Bistro's I think. This one is our favorite. They have the best Greek food and it is traditional while at the same time updated for super flavor. The place is really pretty and it is comfortable and ever so clean. They take really good care of it. We love the service, which is super nice and they know their menu well. Whatever you want in Greek food they have it. Make a reservation. In busy dinner times it will get crowded. Their grilled Spanish octopus is just the best and they don't have that everywhere. They make the best salads and they have great dessert items. Their Dolma is a must try. It is all wrapped in grape leaves and just the best. Delicious Greek food with a very nice ambiance. I came with a group of friends at 12pm on a Saturday. There was plenty of open tables. We sat indoors next to an open door, it was very nice to enjoy. Everyone's dish was cooked to perfection. I got the salmon bowl where the salmon was very juicy with crispy skin. Paired very well with the tzatziki sauce. I love Greek food, but I'm also quite the critic because I'm half Greek and know the authentic stuff. I always have my go-tos when trying a new Greek place, but there was a lot that sounded good and it was hard to decide. We ended up trying the following: - Saganki - imported from Greece and delicious! Very melty and gooey and cheesy with a hint of crispiness. Just the way I like my saganaki! - Avgolemono - when this first was brought out, I was very hesitant as this is much more liquidy/thin than what I am used to seeing. I even sent it to my family and they were confused as well. However, it really tastes like the real thing! I'm not sure how they got the flavor without the typical thickness, but I'm not mad at it. - Grilled Spanish Octopus - very surprising that they had spanish octopus on the menu instead of a traditional greek grilled octopus. I'm a sucker for a good octopus and this was no exception! It was cooked beautifully and tasted just as good! I honestly don't think you could go wrong with anything from here. My book club had our monthly meeting at Greek Bistro on Sunday night. It was all of our first time going there. I know I can speak for all of us when I say that we loved the decor because we all commented and how light and refreshing it was compared to other places we've dined. Overall, this place is absolutely lovely. It's located on a little cobblestone street in Glendale, away from the big shopping area, and there is a parking garage steps away with the first 90 minutes free. The restaurant itself is gorgeous - the colors, the decor, the olive tree in the middle, all of it gave a great ambiance. Service was excellent. I met a friend I hadn't see in a while and we ended up lingering over lunch for 3 hours, and our server Chase was kind and attentive but not overbearing. The menu is extensive and everything looked good, but I settled on a bowl with shrimp. It was absolutely delicious! There are definitely more items I'd try. The ONLY downside to this place is that it opens to the outdoors and there were a lot of people smoking cigarettes. The fumes kept coming into the restaurant and it was pretty unpleasant. After dining at Greek Bistro this past Friday night, I can confidently say it is one of my favorite restaurants in the city. And thank you Derek for your amazing hospitality. I would have absolutely loved to give this place 5 stars, and definitely would have but the length of time for when we received our entrees was not something we could turn a blind eye to. We came in on a Friday night, party of 6 and had reservations for 7:30. We were seated promptly once our party arrived. There was live music which was a wondeful touch and there were two very big parties which I assume were the reason for the back up in the kitchen, but regardless, it shouldn't have taken a hour after we ate our appetizers to get our food. Service was okay, I think our server was overloaded and it is a pretty tight space in the area we were seated at, but other wise it isn't that cramped. I only say service was okay because we weren't checked in at all during that time we waited for our entrees. Now let's get to the food, there's no complaints there other than how sign it too the food to come out bit let me tell you, to be at a sit down restaurant with portions that big, the prices were very very good. Our group ordered 3 gyro bowls, one lamb chop bowl, onwle grilled chicken bowl and one grilled chicken wrap(this was delayed even more as our server approached our friend and let him know his food fell and so they were making him a new one ASAP, thankfully it only delayed us less than 10 minutes).The whole vibe definitely transports you to Greece and the music certainly helps add to that wonderful atmosphere. Serg was our waiter and he was awesome. He checked up on us various times and made sure the food came out perfectly. We all ordered different meals, I personally got the combination with the bistro special and shrimp with a side of hummus. My meal was delicious I enjoyed the ample amount of rice that was given along with the perfectly seasoned bistro special. The shrimp was a highlight for me, it was well seasoned and not overcooked. The plate came with tzatziki and veggies. I personally prefer hummus and was pleased with the side of hummus I ordered. I do wish the veggies were roasted a bit more but that's a personal preference. Some things to keep in mind are if you are dining in there will be a 20% gratuity added to the check regardless of party size. Another thing is they do have a fee to bring in items from outside the restaurant. We wanted to cut a cake for my husband as his family had traveled from far to come to the restaurant but they wanted to charge $50 to allow us to cut the cake. So we skipped that part. For appetizers, we got the octopus and the lemon potatoes. Potatoes were good (nothing special) and the octopus was small and very salty. Filet mignon and sea bass were bland, everything was really oily and heavy. My favorite part of the meal was the pita bread, fluffy and delicious. For service, it felt like our servers just started that day. We had our pita bread fall on the floor (no worries, they replaced it) and our server almost knocked over one of our water cups (stuck his hand in the cup to save it..).
