We arrived for brunch and were pleasantly surprised by the menu. There are so many options, and everything that passed us looked delicious. We definitely ordered more than we could eat, but wanted to try a few different items. Everything we ordered was delicious, portions were plenty and our waitress, Lexi, was attentive and patient as we had many questions and took a while deciding. Valet is complimentary, and there is also street parking if you can find any available spots, as it's busy area. The restaurant is on the louder side, has music playing and people speaking over it, so it's a bit overwhelming in that aspect. The Corner is a nice neighborhood cafe that serves salads, sandwiches, burgers and also breakfast until 3pm. My son and I tried this place today for lunch and had a decent experience. They have a very extensive menu here. There's a parking lot in the back and I also noticed a sign that said Complimentary Valet but there wasn't anyone at the stand. We walked in to a completely empty restaurant and saw one server (Denise) taking another table's order outside. I think she was the only employee on duty and doing everything by herself. After about 7 minutes, she approached us and asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside, and we said outside. Then she asked us if we preferred the smoking or non-smoking patio, and we chose non-smoking. I didn't even know this was an option nowadays, I thought smoking at restaurants wasn't allowed anymore. Apparently they also have hookah available every day starting at 5pm, both inside and outside the restaurant. I was really looking forward to trying their frittata but didn't know that breakfast was only until 3pm. Unfortunately I couldn't order it since we got here around 4pm. We stayed with our waters and I got a bowl of their Clam Chowder soup that came with 2 bulky and FRESH pieces of warm Focaccia bread. I also ordered a Chicken Pesto Panini which came with Grilled Chicken Breast, Basil Pesto Aioli, Tomato, Mozzarella, Fresh Basil, Roasted Peppers and Arugula on toasted Ciabatta Bread. I chose Fruit as my side. The ingredients were all fresh, but unfortunately the bread was toasted way more than my liking and the sandwich was really dry overall. There wasn't enough pesto and the chicken was a bit overcooked. I felt like I was hurting my tooth as I ate it. On the other hand, my soup absolutely stole the show. It was an outstanding bowl of Clam Chowder that really hit the spot after not having it for several years. It was piping hot, and again, very fresh. So flavorful and enjoyable. I savored every spoonful! My son ordered the French Turkey Sandwich that came with Roasted Turkey with Swiss Cheese, Avocado, Tomato, Pickles, Lettuce, Red Onions, Garlic Aioli on Sourdough Bread. He loved his sandwich and ate every crumb off his plate. I also had some of his sandwich and it was really good, way better than mine. Also nice portion for the price. He got his with a side salad that had arugula, tomatoes, red onion and lemon vinaigrette. After seating us and taking our order, Denise disappeared and Bryce took over. He was an excellent server and provided great customer service. I told him about my issues with my sandwich and he apologized and brought me some extra pesto aioli on the side. The place is very clean and everything looks very new and well-kept. Bryce mentioned they've been around for about 10 years but did an extensive remodel during COVID. I'd also like to mention that the tap water tasted so good. No nasty aftertaste like some other restaurants. Even their glasses were beautiful. Thank you management, Bryce and The Corner. Finally made it to The Corner and from the moment I walked in I could tell this place takes itself seriously in all the right ways. The interior is ultra modern and clearly well thought out. We sat on the patio, lots of plants, trees, and marble tabletops that actually feel intentional. The staff was large and attentive. I ordered the Thai Shrimp Bowl and since the dressing has almonds and I have a nut allergy, they substituted a nut free option without any fuss. Visited on a Saturday during brunch time and thankfully, had a reservation because it was packed! Amazing service and the menu offered a wide selection. I absolutely adored the Steak Sandwich. It had nicely toasted ciabatta bread holding a juicy piece of steak cooked medium along with caramelized onions, cheese, and arugula. You can choose the side as well (salad, french fries, or fruit). It was savory and filling! Probably the best steak sandwich I've ever had. I also tried my friend's truffle fries and was amazed by how strong the truffle flavor was. Menu is big with plenty of options, su street browsing, I started with a Lovers Island cocktail, combining tequila, mango puree, limoncello and lime. It's an interesting drink missing the mango with the limoncello. Not sure if it is limoncello from Italy but it does cut the sweetness with from the mango, but still remains fairly balanced. For food, we started with the avocado rolls with a tamarind cashew dipping sauce. The sauce was grea, giving this level of sweetness to pair with the onions and sun dried tomatoes in the avocado told. Really enjoyed these! For eggs, we tried the breakfast burrito and the short rib Benedict. Three benefit is huge, coming on waffles, with a layer of guacamole with ample short rib and perfectly poached eggs. However, we felt the short rib needed to be seasoned better and just felt it was missing something to bring it all together as a bite. The short rib was cooked very well though. As for the breakfast burrito, it is stuffed with avocado and hash browns, and came with a side of hash browns. Like the short rib, the hash browns needed seasoned desperately. Only took one bite of them, and that lack of seasoning ended it right here. The burrito, itself, was pretty good with the Mexican chorizo giving it a ton of flavor. Okay... this place was a 10/10 and we didn't leave a single crumb behind. We ordered the pesto panini, fries, and brussels sprouts, and let me tell you... the brussels sprouts were so good we literally destroyed them before anyone even thought about taking a picture. This was my friends' and my first time trying this influencer-hyped breakfast spot in Glendale, and I want to talk about three things: service, cost vs. quality, and overall experience. Let's start with the food. We ordered two breakfast specials -- pancakes and French toast. The pancakes? I say this with respect... but Bisquick from Walmart would like a word. No flavor. No personality. Just vibes and syrup. The French toast had sesame seeds on it. Sesame. Seeds. On French toast. I'm still trying to process that creative decision. It was also hard and pretty flavorless. Eggs and potatoes were fine. But let's be honest -- that's the bare minimum. Eggs and potatoes are the participation trophy of breakfast. Now the bill... $80. For two breakfast specials. No steak. No seafood tower. No champagne. Just pancakes and French toast. I genuinely had to re-read the receipt to make sure I didn't accidentally finance the building. Service unfortunately didn't help the situation. The food took quite a while to come out, and somehow our drinks arrived after the food. After we were served, our waiter disappeared into what I can only assume was another dimension. We waited to see if he'd check back in -- he didn't. My friend eventually had to get up and hunt down a ketchup bottle herself. For a restaurant with influencer hype and upscale pricing in Glendale, the experience did not match the cost. I don't mind paying premium prices when the quality and service justify it. This just didn't. Sadly, I've had more consistent breakfast experiences elsewhere. Won't be returning. read more

Always a pleasure visiting the Corner Cafe. This was our third time and was busier than usual with about a 20min wait. The service was slightly slower. The server serving water was rude (haven't experienced this before) - we asked for water no ice and he dumped ones that still had ice. We had asked him to switch one of the waters because a fly sat on it and for the entire visit, he never returned with a fresh glass. Food servers were great though. This time we went for the frittata which was amazing and came with a side of bread (similar to lavash bread). Delicious!! Lots of things on my tacos including a yummy guacamole ish layer plus veggies. It looked like it would be messy and it was a little but in a good way. The salad was served in a small bowl so both my friend and I dumped it on the side of our plate-much easier to eat. The salad had mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions and a tasty lemon olive oil dressing. Sorry no pictures. Our server and helpers were friendly and not annoying. I'm given a five star rating for the service and the quality of the food. I believe our servers name may have been Zaira or Zalra at least that's what my receipt says. I came to eat with my sister and Dad. She greet us with a smile. Was knowledgeable about the menu. Was kind and engaged in all the silly banter. The food was great but I would come back for the service. I ordered an eggs Benedict with my eggs cooked hard, swapped out the meat for avocado and tomato and added a single pancake on the side. I also got a caramel latte that was almost too pretty to drink. They kept our water glasses filled, checked on us often and my order was prepared exactly how requested. You really can't ask for more in a breakfast spot. I can't wait to go back. It's not even a mile from my house so I'll be back sooner rather than later. Trendy spot to meet with family or friends. The parking is limited, unless you go with valet. If your party is bigger than 6, I recommend making a reservation. There's a limit to the large tables that seem to be relegated to the patio area rather than indoors. You'll definitely feel some stuffiness, even with the fans, if the temperature is higher than 85 degrees. "Whats to eat?" Lots of options to choose from. You can even order lunch options. The smoked salmon benedict was enjoyable. Personally, i like when the hollandaise sauce is more tangy. The Belgian waffle was delicious!! Fluffy and sweet. To drink, there are different options: variety of coffees, tea, juices, and mimosas! I had the strawberry and watermelon mimosas which were delicious! Also strong. Waitress told us they make it with an alcoholic syrup so the flavored mimosas werent an option for their bottomless mimosa options. It was an enjoyable visit. Our waitress was friendly throughout our time there and attentive, even with a party of 7 and a half. Our baby was provided a high chair and both kids got coloring books and a paper mat to keep them entertained. I'd recommend paying a visit! Stopped by The Corner in Glendale and tried the California Bowl and a Lavender Latte. The space is bright and modern -- definitely has that trendy café vibe with lots of people working on laptops and catching up over brunch. The California Bowl looked great, but ended up being a little too spicy for me -- kind of unexpected given the name. The heat overpowered some of the other flavors, and I wish there had been a bit more salmon in the mix to balance things out. The veggies and base were fresh, but the bowl overall felt a bit light on protein for the price. Service was on-point - quick and easy. The Lavender Latte, on the other hand, was a win -- smooth, not too sweet, with a nice floral note that didn't taste artificial. It's the kind of drink I'd come back for. Overall, a solid café with good drinks and a nice atmosphere, but I'd probably try a different food item next time or customize the spice level if possible. read more

We have driven past this newly renovated restaurant and finally tried it for my birthday! First, the ambience is pretty chic and very instagrammable. The patio seating is the way to go especially on a nice warm day. Now onto the food...obviously I had to order the matcha pancakes because, you guessed it, I love pancakes!! The matcha glaze was a little too sweet for my taste but the presentation was really cool. He ordered the bacon and eggs with hash browns, but I have to say, the best bite for me was their sourdough bread! Overall a cute spot with a trendy ambiance and lots of free parking!
