    Poached Eggs w Hollandaise

Went here for brunch around 11:30 on Friday . The decor was very inviting and ambiance very cozy. The staff were very nice and made sure to accommodate all of our requests despite customizations. It shows that they are trying their best to cater to the best of their abilities to satisfy every customer. We ordered the house syrniki and it was very tasty. I thought it was a bit overpriced though. Also the avocado toast, and the poached eggs were very delicious. I also ordered the salmon pasta , which was on the lunch menu. It was delicious and creamy just the way I like it. It was a bit heavy though so I could only eat half of it . The overall experience was great. Prices are overall reasonable. I truly hope they keep their quality and the price because most places don't and that's how they fail. There were a couple of small suggestions that I shared with their management and he was very glad to take them with a smile .

Amazing service! The owner was attentive and very friendly, the food was excellent and the menu had various options and the atmosphere was welcoming and top class.

It was our first time going last Friday night and we thought it would be American food from the Yelp category, but we were pleasantly surprised to realize that they serve Eastern European comfort food. My husband ordered the beef tongue stroganoff and I ordered the duck, which was delicious and beautifully plated. The mashed potato was delicious and we asked for some bread to clean off the plate of leftover potato. This place is fairly new and we enjoyed the ambiance and the service was very warm and accommodating. They also have really fresh squeezed juices, so good!

Been here twice since it opened and it's only getting better. It's the home cooking you're craving without having to dirty your kitchen. The staff is kind/attentive and I've left both times planning what I'm going to order the next time.

My new favorite lunch spot in Glendale. Service is top notch and the food is just as good. I got the Burrata salad and Julienne 10/10. Great music and awesome vibe inside. The passion fruit juice was great too. I noticed they had different types of breads which I'll be trying in the future.

Place gives you a sense of home cooking but with the utmost elegance. Flavors are explosive and each dish more unique than the last. We were a party of two, ordered about 25% of the menu. Will come back to try the ones we didnt get to. Ukha soup was phenomenal - light but deep umami flavor. Duck was perfectly cooked and tender. Beef tartare melts in your mouth. Sea bass ceviche was bold and saucy. Staff was also super attentive and catered to our every request on the hurry. Went there with my wife on their opening night and we had a blast. Didnt want to leave without trying the lovely looking pastries but we were tapped out on the mains :). Will come back for more, for sure! Bravo! A much needed and unique restaurant in Glendale that takes a path less traveled (aka no kabob and fried potatoes!) great concept and execution.

    Avocado toast with side salad

I was meeting my friend for a brunch/lunch date today in Glendale and we decided to try something new. We were greeted the moment we walked in by the hostess. We sat down and the waitress brought the menus with still water immediately to our table. We started off with sparkling water, they even brought complimentary lemons on the side. We shared a plate of avocado toast with a side salad and their grandmas sirniki. Everything was fresh, delicious and I'm still dreaming about the side salad. I can't wait to go back and try their dinner options.

Owner/manager found me on social media somehow and got upset when we refused this offer because we don't want to come back there ever

We ordered 3 meals: soup, meat and tartar The couple which came in 20 minutes after us got their same order 30 minutes earlier than we did, we were ignored We waited for our order for more than an hour The food was awful, meat was tough, purée was tasteless and disgusting, tartar had an inconvenient serving (still wondering how they decided to add mushrooms to tartar, but it's not the biggest problem, the taste was pretty ok) Only soup was fine, but, as i mentioned, the couple which came 20 minutes after us received exact same soup 30 minutes earlier than we did When we asked for the bill, the waitress asked if everything was okay, we honestly said 'no' and they didn't offer anything or say but 'thank you' and brought the bill where they charged us a full price for such awful service and food Owner/manager found me on social media somehow, offered to come for free breakfast and got upset when we refused this offer because we don't want to come back there ever

    Borscht

The borscht was absolutely delicious -- 10 out of 10, thank you so much! The cutlets were tasty as well, but I wanted to leave a small suggestion: if possible, it would be great not to make them only heavily pan-fried. Yesterday they were a bit greasy because of the strong frying. It would be wonderful to sometimes have softer, healthier options as well -- like stewed or baked cutlets. Thank you for opening your place!

    Specialty bread

Izba is the best addition to the collection of the restaurants in Glendale downtown. Their food and service is simply outstanding! David was very helpful in answering the questions and choosing the right dishes. The atmosphere was cozy and friendly.

We came to Izba for my son's birthday and had such a nice dinner. The food was delicious. I ordered the salmon and my son got the steak, and both were cooked perfectly. Great menu, warm atmosphere, and wonderful hospitality. You can tell they care about both the food and the service.

    Ladies Luncheon

This cozy yet upscale restaurant was a fun surprise in the heart of Glendale! We were excited to find a new restaurant that had a modern twist on traditional Mediterranean & Russian dishes. The menu is diverse and everyone in our group enjoyed the Artisan Cheese Board, Burrata with Farm Tomatoes and the homemade bread basket. I recommend the Salmon & Spinach Cream Pasta, the Panko Chicken & mashed potatoes and Grandma's Borscht!

    Smoked salmon bruschetta

I heard about this place on Instagram and today was their soft opening. I tried the burrito with tomato and smoked salmon bruschetta and I liked it so much. They also have a lot of fresh squeeze juices , smoothies and coffees. Maybe next time I'll come for the breakfastOverall thank you for a wonderful service!!!

If it wasn't for the location, I don't think the restaurant would be nearly as popular. Our server was friendly, but not as attentive as we would've liked. We were seated outside and I found myself looking inside for her on more than one occasion. Even with the good company, I felt the dinner dragging because of this. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Bowl while everyone else had pasta. We enjoyed our food, but agreed that neither the portion nor the flavor entice us enough to come back. Town Kitchen & Grill is in a great location with solid food and nice staff, but it doesn't standout against the neighboring competition enough for me to go out of my way for it.

(My husband had the steak and mushroom penne, friends had the Chimchurri steak and the wedge salad) The negatives: I had the shrimp risotto and found it blah. The serving was very small - i feel like American portions are often obscenely large (and don't like that), but this was much smaller than average and I was still hungry after eating it. The flavor was ok, but nothing to write home about. And the shrimp were very small - what my husband and I call "bait" shrimp. Not the large shrimp you usually get at a nice restaurant. Since i was still hungry, I ordered a cobbler. It was fine, but not great. Texture was a bit strange - not traditional. Probably won't come back. The food is just not that interesting. It's like the kind of food you'd eat at a Midwestern buffet restaurant.

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

We agreed the food and drinks were very delicious, but both of us wanted just a little bit bigger cups to enjoy more of our drinks. The line to order went pretty quickly, however, the wait to get the coffee and food took a little longer than expected. We thought he was a new employee because he had no clue what he was doing. He had NO personality no interest in general. When he first came to our table he didn't say hello or offer us appetizers or a cocktail. He asked for our dinner order. We ordered the fajita quesadilla and a combo plate. Daniel brought me the wrong taco; the taco was mostly lettuce and cheese very little meat ~ I was surprised because when I ordered this in the past it was excellent and done right (Not his fault tho he did write down my taco order incorrectly). He never came back to our table to check on us. When we were done we asked for a box because we had a lot of food left. He looked at it and brought us a tiny box. What was he thinking?? We asked the bus boy for another and he brought us the correct size. It was hard to get Daniels attention; we tried a few times to flag him down but he wasn't looking at us. We watched him a few different times throughout our time there, to see how he was with the other tables. We came to the conclusion that he looked like a fish out of water. Maybe he was overwhelmed even though the restaurant was a little more than half full last night at 5:30. Then he brought us our check while we were still eating! I told him I wanted to order dessert. Again, he had no clue what he was doing. I suggest the management take a look at this review and address this issue with him. Our experiences here have always been great, been coming for years.
