My office is right next door to the Burbank Marriott so when I travel for work, I spend a good amount of time at EDB, the outside bar/restaurant at the Marriott. Their food is actually prepared in the connect "Daily Grill" restaurant but they have their own menu. There are usually 3 things I order here...the paella, the pepperoni pizza, or the chicken club. All are pretty solid. Today's server was Adrianna and everything went smoothly. Paella was as good as ever and loaded with sausage. CA weather is almost always nice and this is a great place to enjoy a meal or a drink.

This spot is so chill and fun. We got seated right away. The whole restaurant seemed like it was just patio seating. They had heaters and a cool bar to sit under. It is connected to a hotel which is convenient for guests, but it's also convenient for people like us who needed a place to eat before heading to the Burbank Airport. The airport was just a mile down the road. The food was delicious and they had good portions. I got a strawberry mule and it did the trick. Thank you for hosting us!

Ask for K and U when gettin a drink. It's a vibe. 3 is better than 1 for sure. Be sure to check the heated pool after gettin your drink!

We were staying at the hotel and tried this place for dinner. This restaurant is an outdoor eating area. Hector was friendly and greeted us at the hostess stand, we were told to sit anywhere. Once seated we were brought menus, I asked for lemon water and was told there was a water drink station to help myself at the bar. The water was ok but not cold. The table of people next to me ordered water and they were told, ok I'll bring out water for everyone, which they all received, ice water. The chips and guac were really good, the shrimp cocktail sauce was good; but shrimp not very good, tough and very fishy tasting. Over all service was good. Didn't return during our stay because of the limited menu.

First of all run, don't walk to EDB Burbank. I had the pleasure of being helped by Urian! First, the setting and the vibes are impeccable for a nice summer nights. First of all, let me tell you about the amazing wings that they offer here, the jerk wings is a must! All their food and appetizers are so delicious! Now let's talk about the outside bar! Wow! Urian will now be my go to guy here when I visit, all the drinks and food were perfect and wish I had more room for more wings. Service was fast and friendly and just all around great experience that comes with a nice hotel. I will definitely be back asap and enjoy the summer here.

I ate dinner one night while staying at the hotel for a conference. The service was great and my party of 8 was well taken care of! This spot can get busy but our waitress was so friendly. She even ended up splitting our receipts per person. I opted for the poké bowl, which was delicious! I loved the peppers for added heat. They have a cocktail menu with fun creations. I chose the jalapeño dreamin' and it was really good- basically like a spicy margarita. Others in my party really enjoyed the poké nachos. This is a fun spot! It's all outdoors with the bar situated in the middle of the restaurant.

It was ok! I didn't realize they had a breakfast menu, so I was waiting around till 11 till they opened. I sat at the bar and ordered a watermelon mimosa and the breakfast burger. Both were very good. Service was slow. They seemed overwhelmed with the convention going on.

We were seeking a decent sit down restaurant near the Burbank Airport. We hit the jackpot with this place located right across the street from the airport. It even has its own driveway as it is at the front of the Marriott Hotel on Hollywood Way. (Turn into Marriott Drive). There is a parking lot but if you eat at the restaurant your parking is free. Going in you get a parking ticket that you then get a sticker from your server that makes it free when you leave. The menu is not large but they have great modern delicious foods to choose. There is a large square bar with TV sets on all sides for great viewing of sports. We were able to see the tv from our table with nice padded seats which surround the bar. The whole restaurant is on the front outside patio of the Hotel, right next to the entrance and front desk. We came in and saw plenty of seats and walked right over to the one we wanted and sat down. No need for reservations. I had made one but there was no one at the front desk to seat us so we sat ourselves. I liked that as we got to choose where. The waitress and cute perky girl named Katie came and brought us menus and got our drink orders right away. She was very sweet to us. Being my mom is 90 we appreciated her kindness. We got an appetizer of Edamame that was spiced so perfectly we ate it up. Then came our main dishes arriving quickly after our appetizer was removed. I got three sliders (smaller cheeseburgers? I asked for sides as I am particular about my burgers, and was delighted with their ability to satisfy all three things I wanted. Cheddar Cheese instead of American, blue cheese crumbles, and straight horseradish. The sliders also have dill pickle and their own sauces and with all my additions omg they were spectacular!!! My mom got a chicken salad and she loved it. My friend got a gumbo dish with shrimp and rice and veggies and she also really enjoyed it. Our food came out quickly after we finished the appetizer. We then met a handsome man named "U" and he looked important like the manager or something. We praised the restaurant and staff and he liked hearing that and was so kind to us. After we ate dinner, we got dessert. A large serving of caramel custard pudding with blueberries on top. It looked small in the jar it came it but was enough as we all ate with the three spoons they brought, and by the time the jar was empty everyone was smiling and fully sated. Loved this place and plan on returning even if we aren't going to the airport. My friend is a flight attendant for an airlines at burbank airport and we asked if they give discounts and our sweet waitress said yes!! For all the airlines at Burbank. So she gave us a 20% discount!!! This just made us all so happy. Free parking. Great service and food. Lovely surroundings outside patio with big palm trees and the hotel pool area next to it. Bar was surrounded by happy people and everyone enjoying themselves. We will certainly be back. So lovely there and such great food and service!! Five star treatment!!! Handicapped spots right in front for mom and me made it so so easy to get in and sit down. They take reservations but we didnt need them. Plenty of seats were available.

Had great service by Bartender U. Helped me make a good choice in beer and great customer service.

The service was excellent with U providing the service. Thank you Marriott! The best people are in front of the public!!!

    - Broken Compass Tiki…read more My girlfriend and I absolutely loved Broken Compass Tiki. I originally found it on TikTok, followed up with a few YouTube videos, and knew I had to check it out the next time we were in Burbank. It completely lived up to the hype. Parking can be a little challenging since it's in Burbank, but we got lucky and found a street parking spot nearby. If you don't get as lucky, driving around the block or into the surrounding neighborhood should eventually turn something up. We arrived about 20 minutes after they opened, and there were already several people inside. By the time we left, the place was filling up quickly, so it's definitely a popular spot. I surprised my girlfriend by keeping the destination a secret and just telling her we were going somewhere fun with a unique theme. She loved it. From the moment we walked in, the service was outstanding. Both the bartender and our server were incredibly welcoming. Our server asked whether it was our first visit and took the time to ask what kinds of drinks we normally enjoy before making recommendations. I really appreciated that he wasn't just trying to upsell us. Instead, he explained why he thought certain cocktails were better choices based on our preferences, and every recommendation ended up being spot on. As you'd expect from a tiki bar, the cocktail menu is heavily rum-focused, but there are also non-alcoholic drinks, a small beer selection, and wine available if rum isn't your thing. I ordered the Zombie Magic first, which was delicious and definitely packed a punch. After that, I tried the 100 Year Cigar, a Scotch-based cocktail that was perfect for slowly sipping. Both drinks were fantastic. My girlfriend ordered the Painkiller and the Navy Grog, and she loved both of them. We started with the Shut It Polly wings, crispy chicken wings tossed in a spicy Thai peanut sauce, and they were outstanding. We also ordered the Aloha Dippers with the Cajun seasoning. I paired mine with the Chipotle Citrus Aioli, while my girlfriend chose the Firecracker sauce. Both dipping sauces were excellent and complemented the fries really well. For our entrées, I ordered the Pub Burger with Irish cheddar, onion strings, and horseradish aioli, cooked to order. It was excellent. My girlfriend ordered the Shrimp & Lobster Roll, and we both enjoyed it. The only item that didn't quite meet our expectations was the macaroni salad that came with our meals. We've had some incredible macaroni salad at Hawaiian restaurants, and this one just didn't quite compare. It certainly wasn't bad, but it was the one part of the meal that didn't stand out. One thing that really impressed me was how accommodating the staff was regarding my raw fruit allergy. I explained what I could and couldn't safely eat or drink, and our server took it seriously. He made sure every cocktail recommendation was safe for me without sacrificing flavor or experience. That level of attention made me feel comfortable ordering drinks I otherwise might have avoided. The décor is also worth mentioning. The pirate-themed exterior transitions into a fun pirate-and-tiki atmosphere inside that really adds to the experience without feeling overdone. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations. The drinks were strong and creative, the food was excellent, the service was some of the best we've had in a long time, and the atmosphere was a blast. There are still plenty of cocktails on the menu that I'd like to try, so we'll definitely be back the next time we're in Burbank.

This place really made you feel like Captain Jack Sparrow was going to jump out at every corner. It so themed for a tiki bar, but if pirates and mermaids had a place to hang out this would be that place. From the decor to the detailed bathroom sounds and the menu item names. You couldn't escape the theme anyway and I loved it! We were gathering for a friends birthday and there was 30 of us. Couldn't believe we found enough seats for us in the back area but we did. The staff was there to keep drinks flowing and keep food coming. The portion for their poke nachos was unreal. Do i wish they put a bit more poke on the dish? Yes. But it was still one of my favorite dishes of the night. The drinks were all so cute and they had ample non alcoholic mocktails as well which were yummy. If you want a speakeasy feel (you lieterally go through a secret door in the wall) and an under the sea eperience while ctching up with friends, you can totally do it here. For my friends birthday they rang some bell and all sang happy birthday to her which was so cool. Why was the bathroom the coolest part? They literally have ocean sounds and seaguls for you to hear while using the restroom. Theres even a fan in the bathroom to make you feel like you're next to the ocean because I kept fighting that darn toilet seat cover to stay put. Such a fun night and will be back for the vibes. Special s/o to Amanda and all her crew the night we were there. They helped out with photos, drinks, and keeping food going all night. She had such a great team with her that night. Everyone was helping us out even finding us chairs and clearing tables so we could make room for more food.

And of course, you're welcome to bring your own game as well. We got there a bit after opening so we were able to get one of the multi seater tables. When we left at 3PM, the place was packed! They do have parking behind the building which seems to fill pretty quickly if they're busy, but it's easy to find parking around the neighborhood. I am not usually in the tavern scene so I was surprised that we had to order and pay at the bar, but it wasn't a big issue. My friend and I split the kale caesar salad and the macaroni and cheese. For the table, I ordered the waffle fries after being informed by the kind waitress that that was the better choice over the pretzel (which she also said was amazing). Since the place was filling up for the final, the kitchen was a bit slow, but we barely noticed with how attentive the staff were in getting us drinks and refills. When it came to food, we were pleasantly surprised with this place and is honestly the reason I'm writing this review. The first things we got were the Beef Tallow Waffle Fries, Caesar Salad, and mac and cheese. Obviously the fries were much better, however the salad was also divine but just swimming in dressing. Back to the fries, we all were mindblown with how tavern fries could be this good and had so many flavors. Even the skinny queens in our group kept snacking on them which tells you how good these were. Mac and cheese came and it was standard and creamy but not necessarily something I'd return for. The surprising thing on top of the fries that majority of us loved was the Vegan Tomato Scampi with shrimp. It was fire and had me questioning if it was even Vegan. Would definitely return here if I find my way back to SoCal from the Bay. Great unassuming place with great food and vibes. Their bathroom as well is super clean and nice! Love this place!

Wow I went to tiki no tonight a bar I've been going to well over a decade. The bar staff is…read moreexcellent at what they do. A gentleman named J was at the door very nice polite I've knows for years. Upon walking in I was informed I needed to have my id scanned like I was about to take a flight. As a bar owner and person that's been to thousands of bars I understand the rules and requirements of checking id before entering or being served. I don't have a problem showing my id for the door person to check. On this recent night not only did I have to show my id ( which is the law) I had to give my id to door person to scan, scan really scanned. I'm 58 years old. What about me says do a deep dive on this guy's id. Pretty sure every person in the bar could guess I'm over 21, 31,41,51 and a few might guess 61. How insulting. How incredibly insulting to every regular over the age of 35. As regular customer for over a decade at least I feel like I've earned the respect and the courtesy of not having my id violated as a regular and a person that qualifies for senior discounts. I guess ownership is determined to ruin tiki no just like they did with the firefly and the powerhouse. In my humble opinion the tiki no ownership would be better served trying to create demand for new customers and not just being demanding of longtime friends and customers of tiki no. Maybe they should hire a monkey to stand out front to attract more customers. Everyone loves a monkey. Maybe the GM could do it. The one thing the only thing I now like about tiki no are the people that work there and worked there in the past. Hats for hiring well, even a blind squirrel finds a nut. Oh a regular is a person that regularly spends money at your business. If I wanted to be insulted I'd call my ex-wife.

Whether you've ever heard of a tiki dive bar or not, this is a solid choice. It doesn't pretend to…read morebe anything it's not. Fun decor, thematically appropriate old films on even older tv sets, an AC that works when it wants to... I was particularly wowed by the mugs they serve/sell. I collect them, and wouldn't expect Tiki No to boast such quality options. Hats off. No food, but they welcome outside eats. Bring in a whole thanksgiving turkey, they won't care. Just don't make a mess. 4 stars. Expected less, got more! Nice staff.
