The Snug really lives up to its name by being a small, cozy and friendly Irish bar. Some might classify it as a "dive," but that would be unfair -- it's a local place, sure, and totally no frills... but I counted more than 50 bottles of Call and Top Shelf Irish Whiskies, plus just as many bottles of Bourbon, Scotch, American and Japanese Whiskies, and a quartet of Pappy Van Winkle... this ain't no dive. Still, the drink prices are very fair. Barkeep Elizabeth was friendly from the get-go, and checked on me repeatedly to make sure I had what I needed. The digital jukebox was playing lively tunes, and the daytime crowd was laidback and chatty. There's no food in this pub, but packaged snacks (chips, nuts, etc.) are readily available, and I'm told you can bring in anything you like to eat. Fantastic!! Despite being on the "road to nowhere corridor" (Magnolia Blvd. between Hollywood Way and Cahuenga), and being incredibly easy to drive past, The Snug is a welcoming little bar with a genial crowd that's very much worth keeping your eyes and GPS peeled to find. People LOVE this place. It's the favourite haunt of a lot of Burbank barflies. I can see how it can be cosy and welcoming. The bartender is great. For me personally, it was an okay bar. I came to try Writers' Tears whiskey to see if I liked it before committing to buying a bottle. Maybe it was just the night I was there, but I was surprised at how brightly illuminated it was. I was expecting a dimly-lit dive, not all lights ablaze like a Burger King. It wasn't exactly relaxing, and if I was asked to pick a mid-scale bar in the area, I'd probably go with No Bar, where I can't see every pore on the nose of the person I'm drinking with. read more

We ubered here and upon arrival, the guy sitting down who was fooling around with a different guy (I thought they were waiting in line for someone) told me, "oh you can't come in.... it's BOYS night" What does that even mean? Was looking for a Dolphins bar in the area and read some good reviews about The Snug. Went in a couple Sundays for Dolphins games and had a great time. Full bar and great beer selection, and tasty burgers/dogs/chicken served during the Sunday games. Service from the bartender Elizabeth and owner Tony was very friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere for Dolphins fans but I saw other jerseys show up too to watch. Dolphins games were on the big TV's but the side TV's played other matchups as well. Highly recommended! read more

Drove from Phoenix, Arizona to meet up with friends from Sacramento for a pubcrawl through L.A. and The Snug was one of the random bars we visited the night before the big event. Decent beer selection and Stella Artois served in fine pilsner glasses bearing her name. The goofy trivia and games machine at the end of the bar kept us enthralled for a while. Users are forbidden to enter dirty words when registering a high score (of course, we found a workaround and littered the scoreboard with creatively filthy names). Visited Sept 14, 2016 Greeted by a friendly older woman with long white hair. We popped in for a drink after a day at the spa. Nice small, dimly lit, Irish Pub located on Magnollia Blvd just a few blocks west of Hollywood Way. We each ordered a well vodka tonic. The bartender brought us a bowl of pretzels and we enjoyed them along with the low key music being played on the giant music jukebox. It appears they got new bar stools in recent. Roomy, not pretentious (yet), and the owner and bartender were great. So great, in fact, that they bought us a round of drinks! That has never happened to me EVER. (But I'm not a hot chick with big tits.) The round would have easily cost a hundred bucks so that was nice. Drinks weren't any cheaper here. And the jukebox left much to be desired. We recently popped in here after seeing a movie nearby. It's a nice, little dive bar that's tucked away. From the outside it doesn't look like much and honestly, the inside isn't that great either but it's a nice place to stop by and have a drink without being surrounded by pretentious LA people. The drinks are cheap and the bartenders (especially Kat) are super nice. They have an internet jukebox that has a little bit of everything on it. The ladies room was surprisingly clean, for a dive. When I returned I instinctively drank the beer that was placed where I had left my things. It turned out to belong instead to the English gentleman sitting near my stool of choice. This place was pretty cool. The night I went the Bushmills girls were sampling shots of whiskey. They were also giving away free stuff. There isn't food, but they have plenty of local menus to choose from and allow you have it delivered and eat inside. The server we had was fine, but definitely not great.
