People LOVE this place. It's the favourite haunt of a lot of Burbank barflies. I can see how it can be cosy and welcoming. The bartender is great. For me personally, it was an okay bar. I came to try Writers' Tears whiskey to see if I liked it before committing to buying a bottle. Maybe it was just the night I was there, but I was surprised at how brightly illuminated it was. I was expecting a dimly-lit dive, not all lights ablaze like a Burger King. It wasn't exactly relaxing, and if I was asked to pick a mid-scale bar in the area, I'd probably go with No Bar, where I can't see every pore on the nose of the person I'm drinking with.

Dive bar. Like, Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive bar. "we-ain't-got-no-kitchen-but-you-can-order-in kinda dive-bar." Drunk regulars before noon type dive bar. Where everybody knows your name kind'a dive bar. Phenomenal Love it. 10/10 I was there prior to a noon-lead. Don't judge me. #saleslife Oh, and to top it off: The hot, urban, hippy, carefree bartender was also perfect. Thanks, Tony!!

Looking for a dive bar experience while in Burbank? Head over to the Snug and you won't be disappointed. I usually hit the Snug up when I want to catch a game in peace without the hustle and bustle . This bar is small and gets crowded fast but if you come off peak hours finding a bar stool or booth won't be a problem. The Snug doesn't have a kitchen , but they have a few snack options for purchase. This Irish style pub has a casual atmosphere with a chill vibe. The happy hour is 4pm-7pm weekdays offering $3 drinks. Plenty of draft and bottle beer options.Street parking only.

Found out that this place was a Miami Dolphins friendly bar on Sundays so I decided to check it out. The owner "Tony" greeted me as I arrived and my first impression was a good one as he is one heck of a nice guy. Great service. Fun environment. Met a bunch of new friends. Will be back for sure. :)

Best bar ever! And, most importantly, they care about keeping their customers safe! Must stop when in or around Burbank.

Don't forget your ID in the car as they will check your ID at the door. Upon entering, the atmosphere is happy, laid back, and joyous, with options for sitting at the bar, sitting in booths, or sitting in tables with chairs. Ordering is so fun, you can either walk up to the bar and place an order, or you can scan the QR code located at your table (and all are specifically numbered so they know which table ordered) and then the drinks or food magically appears a few minutes later! I love this setup and it seems to make the time between ordering and receipt of drinks really fast, seems faster than it would be if everyone lined up at the bar! I loved it. My friend ordered the Fried pickles which were SO GOOD I gluttonously ate almost all of them. Sorrynotsorry. Karaoke was off the hook, so many amazing singers, and everyone so supportive and happy to sing along with every single type of song and style. I saw online there is Trivia night on Tuesdays, and sometimes there are other special events, I would love to come back and attend and experience these. Definitely an awesome and cool bar and I can't wait to come back with friends!

My other friends were gonna have some chelas too and I was like nooooo lol, so they got palomas instead and they liked it. The cabaret show was fun and the place was packed. The staff was working so amazingly well for such a huge crowd, very impressive!!! Extremely attentive too.

Going in to Forman's Whiskey Tavern, I had 5 choices from the menu that looked amazing to me: 1. TAVERN SALAD with manchego, apple, candied pecans, and a champagne vinaigrette. 2. GRILLED CHEESE sweetened with butternut squash and a sage brown butter. 3. TAVERN (Impossible) BURGER with avo, arugula, pickled onion, and honey mustard dressing. 4. BISTRO (Impossible) BURGER which is like the French Onion Soup of burgers on a challah bun. 5. PATTY MELT, but I'd let my carnivorous side indulge with beef vs. Impossible meat. Thankfully the menu special that greeted me at the front door reaffirmed my choice that I should choose a burger. The Weekday Special from 12-3pm: Any Burger or Sandwich, Side of Fries or House Salad, and a pop was just $16. Plus, the bartender encouraged me that the burgers are really good. So the TAVERN BURGER with Impossible meat, a side green salad, and a lemonade needed no coin toss for me to be decisive. Ordering my meal at the bar was easy, there was no line, and service was quick. I loved that it was chill for a mid-week lunch hour. However, I imagine it gets busy later on in the afternoon and during a non-holiday week. Most of LA was already heading out to campsites for the 4th of July week from what it seemed. Beyond the burger, I really loved the fun decor. Inside, it felt like a Southern Hunting Lodge with its trophies hanging on the wall. Outdoors, it had my kind of charm with its lush greenery, flowering blooms, rustic decor, and picnic-style benches that felt like you're in someone's backyard. I'm sure the big tree in the center helps make the twinkle lights amazing at night. Plus, if you bring your furry friend (service dog) then the outdoor patio is a nice place to chill, and there's a bowl of fresh water just for them. As for drinks, there are plenty of beer choices on tap from Old Rasputin Stout to IPAs. Malbec and Opolo Zin looked enticing too. Since this is a Whiskey Tavern, there are lots of options ranging from low to high-end spirits to choose from. I recommend you take a peek at their menu beforehand to avoid deliberating for a while before choosing the one that speaks to you.

The last time we went it was so packed we had to sit at the low-top part of the bar which was kind of like being at the kids table when everyone else is towering around you, but we didn't mind. I wish I could remember our bartender's name, but he was really attentive. The service there, in my experience, has always been good. Anyway - I've been here many, many times over the years but have never left a review, so I decided I needed to change that. To be fair, that was the total for the group, so the number alone isn't what bothered me. What bothered me was looking at the food, the portions, and how much we actually enjoyed everything, then feeling like the value wasn't there. The chips and guacamole were probably the clearest example. For $15, the amount of guacamole looked like roughly three tablespoons, and it had a dark greenish-brown appearance that wasn't particularly appetizing. I'm not going to make assumptions about how it was prepared or how long it had been sitting, but the presentation and portion were disappointing. At that price, I expected something more generous and appealing. The pu pu platter was $35 and came with an assortment of items, but the portion looked appropriate for about two people. A platter doesn't necessarily have to feed an entire table of five, but even with that in mind, it didn't feel like a particularly good value. The $15 buffalo cauliflower also failed to impress. There just wasn't enough about it to make me feel that it justified the price. The Caesar salad was probably the best thing I tasted, although I only had a couple of bites. That says quite a bit about how underwhelming the rest of the food felt. There was one positive comment from our table about the Kalua pork tacos, so I want to give those some credit, but I didn't personally try them. They were $18 for two tacos à la carte, which still struck me as a fairly steep price. After reading other diners' reviews, I noticed some similar reactions: people who enjoyed parts of the experience but felt the food was only okay, or that the prices added up quickly. Experiences clearly vary, and some customers really enjoy the food here, but the comments questioning the value made sense to me after our meal. I don't expect every restaurant to be inexpensive, and I'm happy to pay more when the quality and portions make it feel worthwhile. Here, too many items landed in the "fine, but nothing special" category while being priced high enough to create bigger expectations. Three stars feels fair because there were a few things to enjoy, but the food and overall value left me wanting more. At these prices, I'd need a more consistently satisfying meal to feel excited about coming back.
