Dive bar. Like, Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive bar. "we-ain't-got-no-kitchen-but-you-can-order-in kinda dive-bar." Drunk regulars before noon type dive bar. Where everybody knows your name kind'a dive bar. Phenomenal Love it. 10/10 I was there prior to a noon-lead. Don't judge me. #saleslife Oh, and to top it off: The hot, urban, hippy, carefree bartender was also perfect. Thanks, Tony!!

Looking for a dive bar experience while in Burbank? Head over to the Snug and you won't be disappointed. I usually hit the Snug up when I want to catch a game in peace without the hustle and bustle . This bar is small and gets crowded fast but if you come off peak hours finding a bar stool or booth won't be a problem. The Snug doesn't have a kitchen , but they have a few snack options for purchase. This Irish style pub has a casual atmosphere with a chill vibe. The happy hour is 4pm-7pm weekdays offering $3 drinks. Plenty of draft and bottle beer options.Street parking only.

Found out that this place was a Miami Dolphins friendly bar on Sundays so I decided to check it out. The owner "Tony" greeted me as I arrived and my first impression was a good one as he is one heck of a nice guy. Great service. Fun environment. Met a bunch of new friends. Will be back for sure. :)

Don't forget your ID in the car as they will check your ID at the door. Upon entering, the atmosphere is happy, laid back, and joyous, with options for sitting at the bar, sitting in booths, or sitting in tables with chairs. Ordering is so fun, you can either walk up to the bar and place an order, or you can scan the QR code located at your table (and all are specifically numbered so they know which table ordered) and then the drinks or food magically appears a few minutes later! I love this setup and it seems to make the time between ordering and receipt of drinks really fast, seems faster than it would be if everyone lined up at the bar! I loved it. My friend ordered the Fried pickles which were SO GOOD I gluttonously ate almost all of them. Sorrynotsorry. Karaoke was off the hook, so many amazing singers, and everyone so supportive and happy to sing along with every single type of song and style. I saw online there is Trivia night on Tuesdays, and sometimes there are other special events, I would love to come back and attend and experience these. Definitely an awesome and cool bar and I can't wait to come back with friends!

It wasn't simple a "comment in passing," I can give you some pretty graphic details from the conversation, but I don't think they are appropriate for a restaurant review. Feel free to check footage to see how long I had to wait for a break in their "comment in passing." I don't love the implication that I'm either being untruthful or overestimating the seriousness of discussing children and intercourse in the same breath in this news cycle. I take it seriously, as do my family, friends and neighbors. I wish wholeheartedly you had just stuck with your first response. This used to be our neighborhood go-to, but after the strange interaction I had today, I probably won't be back. I approached the bar to order at three minutes before 3. This is notable because lunch ends at three, happy hour begins at three. There was no acknowledgment of my arrival, but no big deal. There was a man seated at the bar who was ready to order. Also fine. He asked if "this was a bar" and "do you have beer," and then said "it's happy hour, right? What's a minute or two." The female bartender with glasses says, "yeah, no problem." She pours his beer, processes his payment. Then, instead of approaching me to take my order, begins a bizarre conversation about middle schoolers having intercourse on school trips. Weird choice to make in our current social climate, but to each their own? While I waited for a break in their conversation, my dog said hi to another patron. As soon as I found an opportunity to speak, I asked if I could still get the lunch special. It was literally 3:01. I was told that since it was a minute after, it wasn't possible to even place the order, that the "button changes." So, the minute mattered for lunch, but not for happy hour. If we hadn't been discussing teenage coitus, the button still would have been accessible. I went elsewhere.

Dare I say the Bavarian pretzel was probably the best one I've ever had! It was piping hot, fluffy, and had delicious dipping sauces. I also got the brie and bacon jam burger, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. My husband got the western burger and enjoyed it. We both liked the fries. Crispy outside, fluffy inside. My husband got a flight of beer. I'm not sure which ones he got, but he really enjoyed 3 and didn't even try to drink the 4th one, whatever it was. The food had some highs and lows. The grilled cheese bites weren't what we expected at all, just a regular grilled cheese sandwich cut into small pieces and served with salsa. That said, the salsa was amazing and honestly saved the dish by adding much-needed flavor to an otherwise bland (though very cheesy) sandwich. The goat cheese salad was disappointing. It was overdressed to the point of soggy lettuce, and the portion felt pretty small for the price. On the brighter side, the garlic fries that came with the buffalo chicken wrap were incredible, full cloves of garlic and really bold flavor. Definitely the standout of the meal. The wrap itself was just okay: decent taste, but small and not particularly appetizing in presentation. Drinks were a win across the board. The guava strawberry cider was delicious, and the hazy IPA was also really enjoyable. Overall, there were some highlights, but not enough to make us eager to come back anytime soo

I fell in love before i even saw the menu. Now don't even get me started on that world class water. Best water I've ever consumed. Perfectly cold and delectably drinkable. It was FANTASTIC. Our server, Isaiah, was absolutely amazing and on top of things, refilling our water before we even hit half glass. Not to mention his energy and vibe was so welcoming and fun. We got the PuPu platter for two, came out within minutes, I could spend the rest of my life eating that alone. Isaiah recommended his favorite sauces, Garlic Chive and Chipotle Citrus, they were amazing. We got the shrimp and lobster roll, I officially entered heaven. The Isles of Club sandwich was the finishing touch that had me laughing from joy. Near the end of our dining we meant Max, another server, who is absolutely fantastic, brought us everything we needed, boxes, sauce containers, bags, to-go dessert. Broken Compass Tiki is a pirate themed tiki bar in Burbank…read more They don't having a parking lot, but it was very easy to find street parking just around the corner on a Sunday afternoon. The front of the building is a little vaguely marked, and the entrance has speakeasy vibes, which was a surprise. Upon walking in the front door, there is some tiki décor and a small counter in the rear. I remember thinking to myself "what the heck, this is it?". I checked in at the host stand on the left, and was handed me a boarding pass. She then led us through a hidden door behind what looked like a shipping crate. We were now in the real Broken Compass. The interior is a good size. The two-sided bar seats around a dozen. There is a lounge side of the bar that has two large booths along the wall, and another area with comfortable looking couches and lounge chairs. The main dining room has some tiki hut booths, and two sections of tables with half booth and half chair. The décor is pretty extensive with a good mix of pirate, nautical, and tiki themes. There is a lot of bamboo, thatch, rope, cargo netting, skulls and skeletons, port holes, octopus tentacles, jellyfish, tiki lights, and more. The ceiling is dark with various nautical and pirate markings, and even tied up ship sails overhead. The tiki hut booths have the parrots from the enchanted tiki room above them. Even the two restrooms are nautical themed, with beach and marine sounds playing. There is a lot of great décor to look at. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday, so it wasn't very busy yet. By the time we left a few hours later, it was starting to get busy. We decided to sit at the bar. We started out with the buffalo cauliflower ($14) for an afternoon snack. The serving size was generous, and the buffalo sauce had a good tang. It was served with some sauces, and was surprisingly filling. A nice feature of the cocktail menu is that each drink displays one to three compass stars to indicate the strength of the drink. Their cocktails use a great variety of liquors including ones you don't often see. Many of the ingredients are made in-house. I started out with Chupacabra's Vacation (Demerara Rum, Jamacian Rum, Pomegranate Reduction, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $17). It is served with a flaming lime on top and a little fire show. It was balanced with a light booziness, some light pomegranate flavor, and a cinnamon sprinkle on top. She started out with the Bittersweet Paradise (Jamacian Rum, White Rum, Campari, Passionfruit Syrup, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple, two-star boozy rank, $18). It didn't drink boozy at all, and was passion fruit forward, with light bitterness. My second cocktail was the Bermuda Dune Buggy (Gin, Overproof Rum, Kumquat Liqueur, Cassis, Orange, Lime, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $18). It had a very unique garnish of a Chartreuse infused gummy which was delicious. The drink was nicely balanced, and didn't really drink boozy even with overproof rum in it. They have a rotating monthly cocktail and she tried the Tropic Like It's Hot (Coconut Washed Lemongrass Infused Rum, Mango, Lemon, Coconut Water, Amaro, $17) which was created by one of our bartenders Daniel. It was served in a Spam can and was light and refreshing with a nice pop of fruit at the start, and a very nice coconut flavor. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and had great conversation with our bartenders Daniel and Monica. They also provided excellent service. Broken Compass supports payment with the InKind app which gives you 20% back (10% on Friday and Saturday) in InKind cash. We had a really great time here, and the drinks, food, décor, and atmosphere were excellent. I purchased a Hork (Horse-shaRK) mug for $50 to bring home as a souvenir. We would definitely return again when in the area.
