I take my Oma here on the weekends. We place our order and then we shop at the Big Square. By the time we finish shopping, our food is ready and we eat! I ordered the beef plate and my Oma ordered the chicken plate. The food is fresh and the portions are HUGE!!! They provided us with lavash bread which was great to make little wraps. The most flavorless middle eastern meal I have ever eaten. I literally had to throw salt on everything. I had the chicken kebab plate, which came with hummus, cucumber/tomato salad and rice. The price was good, but I would pay extra for more flavor. They also have fake sriracha at the tables that tastes like ketchup. Pass this place up. Nice and clean establishment located in the market Big Square. They offer really large portions. You can easily share any plate with someone. The beef shish kabob is my favorite. Really juicy and seasoned week. The shirazi salad here is probably the best of my favorites that I've had. For me, other Shirazi salads have way too much olive oil and I think this one had just enough. The chicken Luleh was solid as well. I like the beef shawarma flavor, but felt that dish was a little salty for me. Their store is located inside of a market, first time it took me a while to find this place. But their food is awesome, I've tried their shawarma beef and Luleh plate. Hot Pan is inside the newish Armenian market, Big Square. It looks newly remodeled and chain like, but I believe this is the only location. They have appetizers, beef and chicken shawarma, kabobs, burgers, and sides. You can get the shawarma and kabobs as a wrap or plate. They have vertical grills for their sharwarma. Order at the counter. The food took about 5 minutes - so they are fast. I guess everything was already cooked. * Chicken sharwarma plate ($9.99): The menu said that "all plates are served with choice of rice or bulgur, lavash, two of our side dishes, grilled tomato and pepper." They didn't have any bulgur. I didn't get a grilled tomato or pepper either. The chicken shawarma was unusual. Normally, chicken shawarma is shaved into small pieces and served dry. Their chicken shawarma was carved into big pieces and smothered in two kinds of creamy sauce (one white - yogurt? but it didn't taste like yogurt, one light orange). The sauces were sweet. I was hoping for a potent garlic sauce but the garlic sauce that I was given tasted like ranch dressing. As a garlic lover, the sauce was a big disappointment. The chicken had a strong chicken flavor but was on the dry side. They provided a lot of rice, 4 small pieces of lavash, a chopped salad of cucumber, tomato and red onions that added a nice, crunchy freshness, and some creamy, thick hummus. On Wednesdays I try a new restaurant beginning with the next letter of the alphabet. This was the "H" on my weekly alphabetized restaurant hunt. Wed 12/02/2020 Never tried this place, but found their menu online. Its a fairly limited menu -Kebabs, Wraps, Sides and (a Burger?). The joy of a limited menu, is that it makes ordering a whole lot easier. I decided to do take out today. Ordering was quick and I was told it would be 25 mins. Finding this place was another matter. My GPS took me to the parking lot of BIG SQUARE, a grocery store. There were no signs for Hot Pan Shawarma Grill. I parked and called them and they told me it was actually inside the store. BIG SQUARE it self seems curious enough and seems to offer a lot. That's worth a future trip on its own. Masks were being worn and all café tables/chairs were blocked off so all food is to go. I had ordered 2 chicken kebab wraps and a chicken plate, as well as beef skewers a la carte. The wraps and plates are huge. Either one can be split by kids or sensible adults. I of course ate my entire wrap solo. The food quality was pretty good and there were no complaints. Yummy, warm, healthy-ish food. Value for Money B+ Food Quality B+ Service B-/C+ So why the lower rating? I felt they were not honest about pricing. The cost at the place was about 25% more than my order was based on their menu online. The lady was quick to let me know they are aware it's not updated, but they never told me when I ordered what the total would be, or shared on the phone that prices have changed. The issue really is theirs, because it was THEIR on line menu - they own it - not a photo off yelp, or a third party website, where I understand they cannot be held accountable. I usually come here to get the fried dumplings which I've gotten 3 times and they were always great. This last time I went they were completely different. There was no flavor in the meat and dry inside. The outside looked like it was boiled instead of fried and overall a complete turnaround. They must have switched chefs. read more

Their food is yummy, love the chicken armenian bbq, the rice is perfect (not too dry, not mushy, instead it is buttery, delicuousness), the hummus and sides are a great combo.
