I ended up not being able to eat my soy garlic because of how salty it was. I felt like I was going to get hypertension. Pretty good Korean Wing place in Burbank but the service was very meh! We came here for lunch on a Saturday and the parking was super busy. There were only two patrons sitting outside when we got there. The guy at the counter was not friendly or helpful. There are some rules about ordering chicken wings vs regular chicken with the half/half combo. We ended up ordering 8 "secret sauce" chicken wings, 8 of the cheeslings (the guy said it was popular for kids" and an order of fries. Food took a while as we were the only ones there but it was fine. He brought out of food but did not provide ketchup for our fries. So I went up to the counter to ask for some, he gave us 3 packets. My daughter loves ketchup so she wanted more - every time we asked - he'd give us two packets and made a face. One - you should have ketchup bottles to save on packaging but if you are going to offer ketchup packets - stop being so damn cheap! Assumed he was the owner but who knows. Wings were pretty good. The cheeslings weren't actually wings - they were boneless and had a lot of breading. Parking was fairly easy, as there are several parking lots within walking distance of the store (we parked on the lot on Magnolia). The shop was pretty empty and we were able to order quickly. My husband ordered the kimchi fried rice, which also came with a soda. Lunch specials run from 11AM to 3PM. Soy garlic boneless wings: 5/5 Wow, these wings were so so good. They were very crunchy (I'm big on texture when it comes to my fried chicken). Sauce was delicious, lots of umami without being extremely salty like some other wing places. Tastes like extra large, crunchy pieces of karaage. Would 100% order again. Kimchi fried rice: 4/5 My husband enjoyed the rice, particularly the fact that it had lots of meat and veggies in it. He did think it was a bit too rich and that the portion was big enough for two. Oh well, we can save half for later if we get it again. Fries: 3/5 The fries truly had the perfect texture but they were extremely bland. I don't know if that was intentional to balance out the flavorful wings, but I would have appreciated some salt or something. I think I'll get the rice next time. One thing I will mention is that the wait was very long. I think we waited close to 20 minutes to get our food. It's probably not the place to come to if you're looking for a quick lunch. We ordered the "Original" and "Secret Sauce" chicken, and even though the place was empty, the food took forever. When it finally arrived, the chicken was clearly spoiled. I've eaten at many BBQ Chicken locations and usually the food and service are great. Unfortunately, my experience at the Burbank location was very disappointing. The customer service was surprisingly disrespectful, especially from the cashier up front who had a nose piercing. When I asked for her name, she refused to provide it and continued to be very disrespectful. That kind of attitude toward customers is unacceptable. On top of that, the kimchi fried rice was completely horrible this time. It tasted off and nothing like what I've had at other locations. The chicken was also completely overdone with sauce -- it was drowning in it to the point where you couldn't taste anything else. They have a lunch special for $15 with boneless wings rice or fries and rice dishes and they all come with a canned drink. I've had the boneless wings in cheesling (powdered flavor) and it wasn't bad. The fries are frozen flavorless fries so I'd pass on them next time and get rice instead. read more

I liove Korean Fried Chicken and have eaten at several different ones in the Bay Area with Chicken on Fire in Castro Valley as my favorite when I'm craving fried foods My kids told me about BB.Q Chicken when I was in SoCal. They are pretty pricey and on the upper end of the KFC places I have dined. The KFC overall is good, light batter, good crunchiness, good flavor and fried just right. The downside is the price and the total cost to buy enough chicken to be full. I forgot to take pictures of the food but I did get pictures of the restaurant and menu. We've ordered from BBQ Chicken multiple times now, and they never disappoint. Their chicken wings are seriously top quality--huge, juicy, and flavorful. No tiny wings here! The flavors are where they really shine. We always go for the Galbi wings--the flavor is absolutely perfect. I'm also a huge fan of the Honey Garlic, which might be my personal favorite. You really can't go wrong with Soy Garlic or Spicy Galbi either--they all hit the mark. Their fries are also worth mentioning. They're unique and super delicious--honestly, I wish more places served fries like these. I've tried similar styles elsewhere, but BBQ Chicken does them best. If I had to point out a downside, it would be the price. At around $32 for 16 wings, it's definitely on the pricier side. Also, I'm not a fan of their ranch--there's just something off about the flavor for me. But to be fair, you really don't need ranch for these wings.
