Parking at KIIN Thai was fairly easy on the street - so much space! It's a small little restaurant serving some big flavors! I just knew i had to try their pumpkin curry with chicken (spicy)... super tasty! We visited with a party of 8, and our food was out within 15 minutes! Portion wise, it does feel a bit on the smaller end versus price - at least the pumpkin curry felt so. Perhaps it was the size / shape of the bowl? I did enjoy the nice pyramid shape of their rice, though! For dessert, we enjoyed their mango stick rice. Needless to say, it was devoured the minute it arrived on the table. My coworker spoke well about this place. In high hopes, I ordered a large rice. I showed up, picked up the rice and was extremely confused. On my way walking back to the car I was so confused about the packaging that I stopped, opened the container of rice and was BAFFLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so confused. I walked back into the restaurant and asking them to see their small rice container which was honestly, the size of a double shot glass. $ 4.43 id the price I paid this restaurants version of a LARGE container of rice... That's literally horrible/disgusting . I get the economy sucks and taxes are super ass right now, but you're going to charge $4.43 for a 6 to potentially 8 OZ container of WHITE RICE?!?!!!!! My friend Scott introduced me to this place this past Sunday and I've been thinking abt it ever since. It's quiet, intimate, well lit but not glaringly bright, the music is at the right volume, and you can actually enjoy talking over dinner. The food was delicious and well seasoned. Food was yummy. I had tom yum noodle soup. Super flavorful yet refreshing. Also ordered stir fried flat noodles with chicken and eggs and that was super popular with my toddler. All the food that we got was amazing! We got the drunken noodle shrimp medium spice, eggplant with beef no spice yumm, chicken teriyaki no spice which the kids loved, beef jerky was delish! This is one of my go-to spots for Thai food in Burbank. They used to go under a different name so I hadn't ordered from here for a while, but it's still great. The staff members are always super sweet too. Although they don't have a huge area for seating, it's not usually packed here and I love the little trinkets and lights they decorate the place with. Street parking isn't too bad either. I ordered the panang curry. You can choose your own spice level and the coconut milk definitely helps balance the spice. Although the curry comes with rice, keep in mind that this is only enough rice for about half the portion of the curry, so I would order an extra side of rice. read more

This is a very cute little restaurant. The vibe inside was very calming and I would even say romantic. It feels very clean inside, and the water tasted clean and showed up in a cute mason jar. I got the pad Thai lunch special. The pad Thai was very flavorful and delicious. I would definitely get it again. But strangely, they brought my pad Thai with no peanuts. Once I asked, they brought some out for me. Not sure if it's by request only. The salad had very little dressing right on the top so I had to ask for more of that too. I've also looked at other pics on Yelp and noticed others have received what looks like sweet and sour sauce for their egg roll, which I did not receive. The egg roll was perfectly crispy, but it definitely could have used that sweet and sour. Overall though I enjoyed my lunch here and would come back. read more

I ordered one of their specialty dishes - Weeping Tiger (ribeye). Most of it was unedible. What I could eat of the meat was tasty and I know ribeye is a fattier cut of meat but this was a terrible cut, mostly fat. I let the waiter know and showed him that most of if my dish was unedible, but all he did was say he'll tell the chef and there was no effort to fix the problem or even offer a discount even though I couldn't eat half my dish. $25 for something I could barely eat and i had to pay extra for a side of rice even though the menu said it came with rice. read more

If I could leave more than 5 stars for this place I would, that's how much I love it! My favorite Thai restaurant in BURBANK! I've been coming here since they changed to KIIN and it's always amazing! The food is fresh, delicious, and flavorful. The service is always great and it's very easy to get curbside pickup. My absolute favorite dish here is the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew. I've never had it this good anywhere else. Great flavors, with just the right amount of spice! I also usually get the Chicken Satay and their peanut sauce is delicious! The soups are also great, especially the Tom Kha. I'm also a big fan of their curries, especially the Yellow Curry. Anything you order here you just can't go wrong! For dessert, the Coconut Rice with Mango of course! The taste from the sticky rice goes so well with the coconut cream. Always amazing and my go-to for Thai in BURBANK! I come in today on my lunch with my co-worker and was surprised they changed the plate for Lunch special and its look so NICE! clean and neat. And it's perfect portion for me to be full. They told me they removed the soup that's a little sad but they told me soup will be back on Winter. So thats makes sense. Can't Complains on the food cuz it's SUPER DELISH. Salad normally comes with peanut dressing but today i got the salad with the different dressing yellow dressing kind of thing and it's also good. Siam Smile is the best Thai restaurant in Burbank for sure. It's my favorite Thai restaurant period but certainly in Burbank. The food is awesome and their specials are on point. I pretty much always order the lunch or dinner special, depending on when I'm there. Lunch: For $6.95 (M-F until 3) with egg fried rice, tofu soup and two fried wontons of either chicken, beef, pork or tofu. The beef and pork are my two favorites. Dinner: $9.95 that gets you the same but with an egg roll and slightly bigger servings. If you don't want a preplanned meal I highly recommend the: the pad thai noodles, spicy bamboo, shrimp and scallops or the pineapple curry. All of these dishes are A+'s and oh so good. Top notch service never hurts a restaurants cause either. read more

I like little restaurants. Truly. I would take a little hole in the wall over a big fancy restaurant any day of the week. And I eat at Sawan usually once a week. Very easy to miss unless you are looking but they stay open all day (you know how some restaurants close at 3 to 5? hello- not all of us have 12:00 lunches) and their peanut sauce is great. I would just eat the peanut sauce if I didnt like their other options. They have a killer lunch menu till 3:30pm- $4.50 for an entree!!! Panang and veggie curry are my faves. Their pad thai is very tasty and their thai salad and chicken sate are a must try. The same gal is always there- and she is so sweet and helpful. Came here for lunch by myself, and the place was full, so i waited for a table and was seated, then ordered my food. The food arrives a few minutes later, then a group of 4 people walked in, but all of the tables were taken, so in the middle of my meal while i was eating the waitress asked me if i could change tables to the smaller table so they accommodate a bunch of strangers. Then i was moved outside in the sun with some idiot smoking near me. I was very annoyed by this, those people could have waited just like i had to, but i guess a few cheap plates of food are more important than a potential life time customer. KIIN Thai Eatery in Burbank is hands down one of the best Thai spots I've ever been to. I usually stick to Pad Thai or Pad See Ew when I eat Thai, but the staff suggested I try their curries, and wow, what a game-changer! Order our food via the yelp 24 hour app. Yelp had issues displaying what we order verses what actually was printed out to the merchant. Our order was messed up, however they fixed the order and was very polite and wanted to learn what thing went wrong in the online order system, so they would not mess future orders up.
