Roti Appetizer: 5/5 recommend! It was fried which made the outside flaky but the inside was pillowy & pulled apart so beautifully.

This place is fantastic! The atmosphere feels warm with individual table lighting and a small pot of picked roses. There is light non-lyrical music playing in the background (I say this because many places use Thai or American songs that can be sung along to), an old school chandelier, and at the time I came there were still some nice Christmas decorations in the patio area. The two ladies working, Noi and Nada, were so attentive and sweet. They made sure I had everything I needed and even offered to re-up my tea pot with hot water. I ordered: 1. 4/5 Oriental Beauty Bouquet Hot Tea (chrysanthemum & jasmine) which bloomed in the clear tea pot in front of me. I asked for a side of honey to make it just right for my taste. 2. 4/5 The fresh roll with grilled chicken which comes with a thin peanut sauce. Next time I will order it with extra mint for my liking. 3. 5/5 A small bowl of the Tofu Soup which was so much more flavorful than I expected. It is a clear broth, which can sometimes be lacking in flavor, but this was so delectable that I picked up my hotel to finish the broth! 4. 5/5 The roti appetizer was soooo good. I have had it at other places before but here is by far my favorite. If you are looking for simmering light and healthy, don't pick this. The roti was fried which made the outside incredibly crispy and flaky but yet the inside was pillowy and pulled apart so beautifully. The curry was also so delicious that I asked for extra. Another table saw that I ordered it so they ordered it too. Be careful though because it is HOT when it comes to the table. I recommend opening it up (it comes folded) to let out the heat.

Delicious khao soiiiiii! This is not a popular Thai spot but still tasty. I enjoy every I ordered from the menu

Parking is street only. There are tables in front (covered-shaded) if you choose or inside the restaurant. We went for lunch and it was quite busy but it's easy to get a table. Love the ladies in the restaurant they are fast and service was awesome. Lunch specials came with free drinks, the free drinks do not include their specialty drinks. My husband got the Beef Penang with Purple Rice and I got the Soft Crab noodles. I didn't get to try my husband's Penang cuz my crab noodles were so good that i ate the entire thing. I needed to try The Rose Mint Mojito-Mocktail- it was served in a hug class ended up taking the rest home- very Rosy flavor . Love the restaurant. I will definitely come back!

    Egg fried rice spicy!

Sooooooo good! We sat in a cozy booth inside and we were greeted by the sweetest staff. We loved everything we ate especially the salmon roll appetizers. And I appreciate the tall glass of ice tea. Go here, then visit the design place down the street for a zen experience and then cross the street to the coolest bookstore ever for a great day in NoHo!

    Drunken Noodles and Coke, delicious

First time ordering here, delivery. I ordered Drunken Noodles and a soda. They didn't have my initial drink but called me and were so kind and I easily picked a new one. My food came hot and soda ice cold. Looking forward to trying more items from the menu.

Rustic spoon is okay. The papaya salad portions are very generous and it was delish. I didn't like the pad see ew too much because they seasoned it with a lot of black pepper on top. I had to get chili oil to redeem the dish. They didn't have traditional Chinese broccoli as well. My husband got the pad thai and it was too sweet. Service was good but that's all. The restaurant was busy so perhaps there are other good dishes.

Pad Thai was a solid option.

Like the location and the setting. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Dumplings, salad roll's, and other options were great. Would definitely visit again.

This place is quickly becoming my go-to casual mid week dinner spot. Even though its kind of a hole in the wall type joint - nothing special ambience-wise basically a small and easily overlooked restaurant, I am loving the food and quick service. Haven't gone wrong yet ordering various dishes off the menu over the past few weeks. I will definitely be back for more! Highly recommend to check it out for a quick date or bite if you feel Asian fusion food!

Delicious Thai food is served here. My husband and I had lunch here after an appointment and loved the food. The chicken fresh rolls were so good that I will go back just to eat that. Served with a special sauce. We also shared a pad see ew and a chicken eggplant dish. Both very flavorful, saucy and delicious. It's a cute cozy restaurant. Parking can be challenging. Service is ok, could have been better but the reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is because of their serving-ware and glassware. Our water and lemonade was served in these tall acrilic worn out cups that looked so bad. And one of the dishes had a chip. Once we sat down all excited to eat here the waitress brought out the water and we are like omg what is this. Can't they buy glass cups to serve their water and juices in ? Look at the picture I took and you will know what I mean. Very unappealing. We couldn't drink it. Overall it's a great place to have lunch or dinner Most importantly the food is great and next time I'm here I won't get any drinks. Or if they offer bottled drinks I'll get that. Also I noticed they have another location in Valley Village so I'll have to try that one as well. Hope they are not using the same glassware. Lol

You haven't experienced life until you are sitting down at this amazing Thai place, listening (because they are talking at full volume) to a first date, which, yep they are in the "industry", as associate producers. I learned Jared the producer likes punch. Thankfully my friend showed up, and then we decided to eat. We started with the veggie egg rolls with plum sauce. Damn, these are good. The filling, everything. And not greasy which is huge. My friend went with the Tom Ka Soup and loved it. The mains: I have a garlic intolerance, and was eyeing the Pad Kee Ew, which in the menu says it's sauce has garlic and a black bean sauce. It does not note this on the web. Happy to report, no garlic sauce, nor bb in It, so the menu is wrong. I went with the shrimp. Amazing. The broccoli in it, the sauce, very light and toss in the shrimp with the noodles - yummy high five. My friend went with the Crispy Fried Chicken and really enjoyed it. The sauce it comes with is similar tasting to the plum sauce with the egg rolls. I tried one small piece of the crispy chicken and was impressed. The coating (made of wheat) was light and crunchy, the chicken was fine and again no grease. Service is outstanding. As for the first date with the APs, who we learned one is now a PA (production assistant), it looked like a second date was going to happen, although we were surprised to see they were each wearing sweatpants. Those kids!

Foods were a total bomb! We'll definitely be back for more! Service was stellar. Ideal for a small group of friends.

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!

This place was called Voila Boutique for as long as I can remember. The Rustic Spoon opened right before the pandemic. They survived and now this is definitely one of the best Thai spots in town. We started off with Steamed Chicken Dumplings, Tom Yum Soup with Shrimp and Jasmine Tea. The Dumplings were fine, the soup had a nice lemon grass broth, lots of mushrooms and about five full shrimp. We moved on the the Krapow with chicken, which was very tasty. Drunken Noodles with Beef was also very nice, and then we had two curries with chicken - The Yellow Curry and the Massaman Curry. Both were served in a Yellow curry sauce. The subtle difference was the cinnamon braised chicken in the Massaman curry, otherwise both dishes tasted the same and were very good. This was a delicious meal and a very pleasant experience. The service was excellent and the vibe inside is comfortable, relaxing and sleek. They don't have low sodium soy sauce, but they have plenty of good spice options which they will bring to the table upon request. There is also a large parking lot in the back, which is very convenient. As much as I like the Toluca Lake location, I think I like this spot better. The larger dining room has more space between tables, but it still maintains an intimate vibe. The menus are identical. Tasty food, great service and an enjoyable atmosphere. I'm a fan!

Alex himself took my order and the food came out pretty quickly and fast. I was very hungry so I got 2 main entrées and their regular small salad with peanut dressing. Ordered their Pad See Ew with beef & shrimp that also came with well cooked broccoli. I also got their crab fried rice and stayed with my water.
